Haim. Maur, let's return to my sentiments about Fleetwood Mac shall we? I had Days Gone By on an infinite loop 10 years ago. Love all those songs. I think Half God Half Devil by In This Moment, and maayyyyybe Hardcore by Beast In Black? If I had to pick a Ghost song, Little Sunshine (you're a very comforting presence)

In This Moment is one of these bands where I should like this, like, in theory is has a ton of elements I love, but when you put it all together, I don't like them at all. I've tried many times over the years and I just can't get into them. A decent part of this I know is Maria Brink's voice. She's an absolute vocal powerhouse, she is such an impressive vocal artist, her capabitility to emote and switch between vocal extremes is so solid, but man I just don't like the sound of her voice, it's so grating to my ears I can't sit through a song XD I recognize and respect In This Moment's influence and creativity as a band, but it's not my jam. Which, now that I think about it, is rather fitting cause "should love this in theory, can't love this in practice" is basically how I feel about myself XD Aaaah issues. I do enjoy the lyrics of Half God Half Devil, the duality of it, plus the sacrilegious vibes of the song and of In This Moment's visuals as a whole. We know they love to twist religious symbols and I am always here for some good ol' blasphemy. I can appreciate this choice!

Hardcore by Beast In Black I didn't know of so I went and check out the clip. And OH MY GOD when I tell you I DID NOT EXPECT FUCKING POWER METAL TO COME OUT OF THESE GUYS WITH THE LOOK OF THE INTRO OF THE VIDEO XD I laughed out loud when the intro synth riff kicked in cause this was just so unexpected and left field XD So I had a massive amount of fun with that video, but I just have to ask, what the fuck?? XD I was not expecting it to take such a turn, and the another turn which I liked better honestly xD But like. Wow. That's so euro, I loved every secong. Had these guys been around 12-13 years ago I would have been all over this shit. I was deep in my power metal / super melodic phase at that point and all my favorite bands were from Finland. And this song could not sound more Finnish if they tried xD I love it. Nowadays I don't connect with that vibe of music much anymore, it's too chipper for where I'm at, but it definitely brings back good memories of my power metal days.

Little Sunshine as my Ghost song is also interesting because it's one of my least favorite Ghost songs. Mostly it's because of a negative association with an ex-partner tho. I feel I have a visceral negative reaction to it (hearing it live version was different enough with the extra backing vocals it saved it from being a sore point in the show). With this lovely comment of yours I'll try to reframe my approach to it as being a song about a comforting presence instead! So thank you for potentially redeeming this song in my mind ❤️
