Answering for regular OVW Sol! 💕: which parent does your child tend to cling to? does it make the other parent jealous?

From the beginning, I've always characterized Sol with having more of a connection with Siebren. This has been their development in my eyes for whatever reason. Maybe because she was the first out of 3. But Ita isn't jealous of it at all. His family is happy so there isn't anything for him to be jealous about.

🌈: if applicable, who (from your f/o's source) would you make your child's godparents? who (out of your friends) would you make their godparents?

Olivia, or Aunty Sombra if you will. Martini Aunt, super fun. Spoils her niece. (And future de kuiper children.) I have a few friends that do ovw selfshipping but havent personally talked about it with anybody. (SO I guess I dont really have an answer fsdihfmds)

☀️: what's your child's favorite game to play with you and your f/o? tag? hide and seek, maybe?

I-Spy is Sol's favorite game! And she is a big enjoyer of I-Spy books or books similar to "Where's Waldo" in theme c: Her reason is mostly because she gets a little validation boost when she can find something fast. Shes proud of herself for being very observant!

HAHAHA YYEAH </3 i mentioned this before but coming from apex (like ten trillion seasons of lore( to overwatch was such a shock i was genuinely surprised. when i was talking to my bf abt ovw lore and he mentioned s76's vigilante-isms i was like oh yeah thats probably where he started his character arc and then over the course of the 7 years this games been out hes probably had some discussions w everyone abt it right?? no??? hes still doing his vigilante-isms (mostly) on his own???????? IVE DEFINITELY HAD F/OS WITH LESS LORE ITS JUST.... 7 years.... not a thing...??!!!!!!!!

also we shuold have jackets imo. my jacket could be um. it could be leather and old and worn and smell old and have rips and a 76 on the back of it.i didnt say that

1: Have you gained any new F/Os this year?

Indeed I have! Bruno and Sigma for romantic f/os, and Mic returned to the list as well. I think I also added the "Crush f/o" category this year, adding 3 more f/os to that list.

2: If you did add any new F/Os to your list this year, was there someone who you absolutely didn’t expect would end up becoming an F/O? if so, did it take you a long time to realize you like them, or did they take your heart by storm?

Sigma was quite a surprise. I only got to know him through a friend in a Discord server, and I had vague knowledge of ovw's existence prior to adding him. I really fought it too, seen in my "vague and frustrated ramblings". It was just so strange to me! But I honestly fell pretty quickly despite the fighting. He didn't leave as much of a lasting impact on me as I thought (I was expecting him to one day surpass Medic), but he's still here. 😊

3: Did a relationship with an F/O change in a major way (i.e. you started dating a platonic F/O or realized you prefer a formerly romantic F/O to be a friend, got married/engaged to an F/O, etc)? if so, did it happen more spontaneously, or was it something you had planned for a while?

Medic and I did celebrate our first wedding anniversary! I also dropped an f/o (Vinnie D.akota), finally realizing after a long feelings-testing period that I don't have any desire to date him anymore or any strong feelings for him. However...something might be happening with me and Dai Zong.. <u<

4: Who would you crown to be your “F/O of the year”? (the criteria for what makes them F/O of the year are entirely up to you!)

Medic, for sure. XD The new guys had some brief attention when first arriving, but most of the year went to mein liebe for the second year in a row. He's been the one I thought about the most, drew the most, posted about the most, and just overall held my braincell the longest lol. Also was the first f/o to achieve the honor of being the main f/o for 2 years straight, and the first to make it to a wedding anniversary!

5: Regardless of who you’d pick for the previous question, which F/O would you say you spent the most time with this year (i.e. by thinking/talking about them the most, creating a lot of art or writing for your ship…)?

...Medic! I technically probably have talked about him the most on here, but I've also talked even more about it in the Discord server I'm in; it's become one of the resident favorite ships due to how much I've talked about it lol. And again, I've drawn him the most as well. But that's gonna change soon as I learn to draw more of my f/os for the first time!

This has definitely been his year, even though creating our special au has been difficult, and sometimes I felt like giving up and that trying was no use. But I just love him too much not to try. And I'd like to thank you all for supporting me through it all, all the ups and down of self shipping in general. The f/os are why I'm here, but it's you guys that make it special, so thank you. :)

- i can pretty clearly categorize my life into the periods of obsession over medias (SU, OVW, FE, ???, HC, SCU, ace combat, SCU + OVW again)

- i feel very strongly about whatever my ‘main’ interest is at any point in time, i often draw, write fic, buy merch, engage in a fan community, etc., all gas no brakes. i am passively interested in some medias but usually i just go ham if it’s the ‘main’ one. good example is acecom. got SUPER into it over the summer, i got merch, four games, asked a friend for his ps2 to play two of em, bought shit exclusively bc of a character, posted about it, changed my damn url, thought about fic, drew... also applies to the SCU generally all the time

- i either feel very strongly about things or i don’t give a shit (i’ve been patronized about saying ‘i don’t care’ about things i genuinely don’t care about bc it sounds apathetic, but like i Don’t Care)

- i have a very strong connection with fiction (selfshipping) and an obsession with constantly creating things or at least thinking about the SCU

- i like it when things are Organized with a Format and it makes me mad if things are not Formatted Correctly. especially on lore documents i make. Must Be Done Right

- might just be subconscious talking but i feel like at least irl i act weird/talk weird. (a coworker of mine told my mom she ‘never knows whats going to come out of my mouth’ lol)

- i experience gender weirdly and i don’t like the idea of having a name or being referred to at all, general depersonalization (correct term?), i also don’t like the idea of like. Being A Person At All i’m just a ‘thing’

- i always have to be Doing Something i can’t just sit still. i have to always be thinking about something, in IRL classes especially i always have to be drawing, in zoom classes i do stuff in the bg because i just can’t stand sitting there lol. granted that’s kinda the human experience cos online classes suck

Ok at first I was gonna go with Lúcio (for obvious reasons, hehe) but I actually think he'd prefer playing as D.Va! They both have a very bubbly fun personality and are crazy famous too! When it comes to playing, he would totally be the type who's just in it for fun and would use all the emotes and voice lines he can :D

Based on her bear aesthetic, I'd say that she'd be a Zarya main! She would totally be the type of player to charge right into the front lines and spam her shield to somehow never die and wipe out the enemy team 😂

So based on the fact that he's a thief who works in the shadows, plus that he seems to have quite a smug personality, I believe that he would be a Sombra main! He would love sneaking up on enemies and hacking them before disappearing before they even notice and he'd be SO annoying to the enemies but he'd love it

It's funny that you mention her parents wanting her to be a doctor because I think she could be a Mercy main! Even if she's tsundere she still has a lot of care for her friends and that would transfer over to caring for her teammates, but she also would be the type to use Mercy's ultimate to just fly around and shoot at the enemy team wif her blaster 😅

Your description definitely makes him sound like a support player, but when it comes to which specific hero, I think he'd prefer playing as Brigitte! He'd always be focused on healing and shielding his teammates, but he'd also easily rack up damage against the enemy team to keep healing his allies!

I'll admit it was a bit hard for me to pick, but I think that on a team together, Draco would play as Torbjorn and Bowen woulld play as Reinhardt! I think that Draco would like using Torbjorn's turret to support the team (plus him being a dragon makes me think of Torbjorn's molten core ability), and Bowen would be all about protecting his team as well as charging into battles headfirst and smashing the enemy team with Rein's hammer!

Okay this may have been an obvious choice but... Reaper. He'd 100% be a Reaper main. He'd especially be the type of player who flanks the enemy team out of nowhere and kills like half of them before wraithing the heck outta there without a scratch on him

Well for Hiei, based on you saying he's not too great, I thought it'd be funny if he kept playing as Soldier:76 even after the tutorial, but I think that choice also fits his personality and his dedication to protecting his friends. After all, Soldier:76 is all about protecting everyone!

And as for Cara, I'm honestly getting big vibes for her maining Ashe! They're both snipers (kinda) and they both have a lot of sass too! I can imagine her playing the game just for the kills and she racks up headshot after headshot and would probably get accused of using aimbot after a while 😅

Okay hear me out: I think she'd be a Reinhardt main :3 She'd enjoy the power and presence of playing as a tank, and since she's an emporer she would like protecting her team with Rein's shield! Plus her staff reminds me of his hammer :P
