Self Reflection
“Honest self reflection opens your mind to reprogramming, change, success and freedom.” – Vikas Runwal
For me 2020 was the year of reflections, brought on by a bio weapon The ChinaVirus. (I do not find that terminology to be racist as China is a location, not an ethnicity, and I have the up most respect for the people of mainland China; however, the Spanish Flu that is racist) But unconsciously I began to question ME. My morals and values moved and changed, my desire to learn became an addiction, the wanting for human connection became noticeable, I for the 1st time ever can say that I believe in religion and why it is detrimental to humans and society, the realization that life is not promised, but mostly my soul and I had some unforgettable conversations about the past, the present, and the future.
During this period of self discorvery and with the doom and gloom of this virus I realized that life is too unpredictable to wait to not say those things, to not ask for or give forgiveness, or even to admit fault. I took that journey recently and I hope that what's to come will be as inviting and warm as it was today for the remainder of our story. This was first time I felt that I took a step in the right direction and I did it for no one but myself. My first act of selfishness was a success.

i keep forgetting to make this post lmao
anyway, i’ve been on a trip of self-discorvery!!! yay!
i realized i’m not asexual. or, at least, not completely. i recently learned that being sex-repulsed is not the same as being not sexually attracted and that pretty much helped me figure it out. i’ll still be identifying as pan, just not panromantic
the name alex doesn’t suit me right. it’s something i connect to what my parents see me as, which is a girl. alex is a girl to me, while i’m not. so, i’ve decided to try out the name mateo, which funnily enough, is what my mom wanted to name my brother. the name always stuck with me, so yeah
these realizations are a big deal to me, because i’ve been iding as ace for more than a year and it’s hard going by a new name. but yeah, i decided to make this post cause i’ll be changing shit in my bio and it explains the new blog title. hmu if you have questions or shit!
#this is very much 'new year new me' lol#fun fact: mateo means 'gift of god'#ugh i have to change my tags fuck#mateo does a hewwo

26/07/2017 - Brain/Tongue
my day as it was today was a big, fucking, stonking huge happy birthday to my guy Jamie. if you can meet him/ do. he's honestly so brilliant -- kinda one of them guys where on a day like this you realise how terrible you are because of the masses of people who went crazy to wish him well. really need to up my game.
but I think that's because of this weird blind spot between my brain and my tongue. the way I feel and think, and the opinions I have are beautifully thoughtout masterpieces/ my conclusions would be that to settle the mind of any opposition. but my tongue does not compute ... the words I have downloaded on to my tongues OS are incompatible with those my brain is processing. it's like streaming a video on a Nokia3310 (the old ones); it ain't happening.
and I think that holds me back, it definitely frustrates me, but what do I do? I thought it was my reading so I read wider, I thought it was my focus so I broadened the lense ... but still there is this void, like a rickety wooden bridge where most of my thinking falls down the big gorge and is eaten by the open mouthed crocodiles below. and all I end up with is half arguements/ half a point and half a punchline -- how do I work on that?
I'm all for self discorvery and improvement but what do I do to translate? if there was some way of downloading my thoughts in to a computer -- that'd be good/ but that's some kind of ethics right? like that company who are implanting chips in their employees so they can log in, pay for lunch, book holidays ... I'm all for that but is that a step too far? I mean it's just a contactless card at the end of the day.
I dunno/ any suggestions do hit me up ... cause I'm at a loss.
BYE NOW.

Storytime: My mother told me if I didn't behave, she will call Santa clause and tell me to not bring presents this year. While poking the bulky house phone, and left after scaring my smol self out the window with her statement.
Climbing up the stool, was about 5-7 years old peeps (mentally younger due to mental illness/disorder i outgrew), and looked at the phone, now on the bulky housephone had a little phone number listed underneath a plastic protective sheet. Which my mother actidently poked at, listed ‘911′ , with that I had my mind blown in the discorvery how santa knows whos been naughty or nice. The police were actually his helpers!!
So i did what any kid would: I called them. But when the operator answered in a serious tone, ‘911: whats your EMERGENCY?’ i paniced and hung up, hoping i wouldnt get in trouble. But later a cop showed up to check up on that call, came out to my mom talking to him all embarrassed.
When they both noticed me, my mother scolded me on calling them just for me to reply about not wanting santa clause to take my presents away.
Which lead to the the amused officer sitting down with me to listen to all my childish gibberish on how santa can take off ‘Beauty and the Beast’ shoes off my christmas list and how ive been a good girl. the cop being a blessing to my smol self and going along with it in that 30 minute or so discussion, despite my house being located 15-40 minutes on the outskirts of the closest city/town idk lol.
He was all smiles and politeness, even calmed my mom down into suggesting to not even ground me for calling them. Just told me to call if theres an emergency like if my mom needs to be rushed to a doctor to feel better.
Its one of most enduring memories.
