Advantages of self-leveling
Self-leveling concrete is polymer-modified high-performance concrete that has the ability to flow, compact, and provide a leveled surface when poured over an area. Self-leveling concrete does not require vibration as required for normal concrete. Self-leveling concrete has low plastic viscosity. It increases the flow ability properties which imparts self-leveling property that helps in designing the desired concrete. The viscosity agents added prevents the settling down of aggregates that cause segregation and keep the cohesiveness of the mix within the bond which in turn helps in avoiding bleeding. Self-leveling is an easy process. It provides a water-resistant surface. In self-leveling Compressive strength is higher as compared to traditional concrete. The hardening of self-leveling concrete is taking place in a homogenous way. Self-leveling is the best choice for heavily reinforced concrete construction. Self-leveling gives a flat and smooth surface. The labor required for self-leveling is less when compared to other services.

Tastes Like shakkar sounds so good! What are your top 5 books with brown or desi characters?
I enjoyed Tastes Like Shakkar a lot more than I was expecting, and have relentlessly been shilling it ever since. It's such a solid romance, the sex was good, a lot of the desi family stuff (the concept of being a "family manager") really hit, but it never took away from the main romance. Also, it's always nice to feel "seen" in the books you read even though it's pretty rare for me, but since this was specifically about Indian-Americans in the NY-NJ area, I really felt that.
Here are books with desi rep apart from Tastes Like Shakkar that are in my top 5:
Wrong to Need You by Alisha Rai: I debated putting my other fave by Alisha, Serving Pleasure, on here but Wrong to Need You portrayed a less-troubled desi family dynamic than Serving Pleasure so I'm picking this. Sadia is a widowed single mom grappling with her attraction to her brother-in-law, Jackson who's just returned after a self-imposed exile related to a mysterious fire. The restrained tension between these two is so hot (ok maybe not entirely restrained; she doesn't recognize him when he first returns and nearly has sex with him lol). Also, Sadia, like Jiya below, subverts the passive Asian woman trope on multiple levels, and based on the dynamic between her and Jackson.
I also liked how Sadia's large, close-knit Pakistani-American family was portrayed; they may not see eye-to-eye all the time, but they love one another and are willing to learn and compromise.
Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert: Zafir Ansari is truly a prince among men; him and Dani go viral for his rescue of her, and they start fake dating so his football charity can get some positive attention and donations. I like how Zafir was the romantic one among the two of them (and is a Bollywood romance fan, predictably), and is also great in the sack so... a winner, basically.
Also, Talia wrote this lovely exploration of grief (Zafir lost his dad and brother) and this really sweet relationship between Zafir and his SIL, and his family as a whole which I appreciated.
Sink or Swim by Tessa Bailey: I know Tessa has gotten a lot of flak for her portrayal of Latinx characters (which, deserved imo), and she's otherwise by and large stuck to writing white characters, but I can't deny she did pretty damn good job of writing Jiya and her family, who are desi, in this book. Here are my full thoughts on this.
The Roommate Risk by Talia Hibbert: Friends to lovers AND probably one of the only unrequited love books I'll ever recommend only because I love Jasmine so much (even while she's STRUGGLING to figure out that yes, Rahul has had feelings for her ever since she deflowered him on the... I wanna say library floor), and Rahul Khan is adorable and a stern, stern man who can absolutely get it. Similar to Zafir above, Rahul's dad also dies during the book (there's a lot of flashbacks) and Talia portrayed Muslim funeral customs and just the general family dynamics thoughtfully and in such an emotional way.
Hard Way by Katie Porter: lol my problematic fave because there are a few things that are just so weird in terms of rep: For one, the author keeps putting Sunita, the heroine, in "indian inspired" clothes, for example, some kind vaguely described professional suit inspired by a saree? Like, this woman is an attorney who works for a United States congressman. She's probably wearing a regular-ass suit like the rest of the people in that office. Also, her nickname in law school was the "Ice Queen of Bangalore" which was meant to be microaggressive, but the nickname literally makes 0 sense to me since she was raised in AMERICA, and considering half the Indians I know can't make the connection between being Kannadiga and possibly being from Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, what are the chances these white mfs can, right? And the weird thing is, she narratively sort of "reclaims" her nickname, but it was such a cringe one to begin with and I don't even know why the authors bothered to put it in in the first place.
BUT Sunita is the only Kannadiga heroine I've ever read (I am. kannadiga, to clarify), she's a martial artist, she's struggling to work out her marriage with her husband (I'm a sucker for that shit), she's good with being kidnapped and zip-tied straight from the grocery store by her husband because it's a mutual fantasy, and she attends yakshagana performances (also very personal to me and my family)! Do you know how rare it is to see any of these things as far as brown heroines go? Maybe I have a lower bar for South Asian rep because there are so few romances that have South Asians who don't hate themselves/the culture AND have good sex scenes, but hopefully that will change as time goes on.

How much is a Storage Rental? Your Guide to Storage Trailer Rentals and Sales in NJ & Phillipsburg
Do you feel like your home or business is bursting at the seams? You're not alone. Whether you're a homeowner tackling a big move or a small business grappling with seasonal inventory overflow, effective storage solutions are crucial. For those in NJ and Phillipsburg, understanding your options can make all the difference between stress and seamless organization. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about storage trailer rentals and sales NJ & Phillipsburg, providing you with practical insights and tips.
Why Storage Solutions Matter
Moving- Moving is one of the most common reasons people seek storage solutions. The process involves a lot of logistics and timing. Often, there’s a gap between when you have to vacate your current place and when you can move into your new one. Storage trailers offer a convenient and secure way to bridge this gap, ensuring your belongings are safe and accessible throughout the transition.
Renovation Projects- Renovating your home or office can be exciting, but it also means you need to clear out spaces temporarily. Renting a storage trailer lets you keep your items close by but out of the way. This ensures that your renovation project proceeds smoothly without the added hassle of managing displaced belongings.
Seasonal Storage- For many, items like holiday decorations, seasonal clothing, and garden tools are only needed for a few months each year. Storage trailers provide a practical solution for keeping these items safe when they’re not in use. This not only declutters your living or working space but also extends the life of your seasonal items by storing them properly.
Overflow Storage for Businesses- Small businesses often face the challenge of limited space. When inventory piles up, or you have bulky equipment that’s not regularly used, storage trailers can be the perfect solution. They provide easy access, allowing businesses to operate efficiently without sacrificing valuable floor space.
Comparing Storage Options
Traditional Self-Storage Units- Self-storage units have long been a go-to option for many. These facilities offer a secure place for your belongings, often with climate control options. However, they can be less convenient because you usually need to transport your items to the storage facility yourself. Additionally, accessing your items requires a trip to the facility, which can be cumbersome if regular access is needed.
Portable Storage Containers-Portable storage containers are another popular option. These containers can be delivered to your location, allowing you to load them at your convenience. Once filled, they can either stay on your property or be transported to a storage facility. While convenient, they may not offer the same level of security as other options, and costs can vary based on the distance they need to be transported.
Storage Trailers-Storage trailers combine the best of both worlds. They offer the convenience of being delivered to your location and the security of a traditional storage facility. These trailers are particularly beneficial for businesses because they can be easily relocated as needed. Comparing costs, security features, and convenience, storage trailers often emerge as a superior option for both homeowners and small businesses.
Understanding the Costs
One of the primary costs associated with storage rentals is the monthly fee. For storage trailer rentals and sales NJ, these fees can vary widely based on the size of the trailer and the duration of the rental. Typically, you'll find that larger trailers cost more per month, but they also offer more storage space, making them cost-effective if you have a lot to store.
In addition to the monthly rental fee, there are often one-time delivery and pickup charges. These fees cover the cost of transporting the storage trailer to your location and retrieving it when you no longer need it. When budgeting, it’s essential to factor in these costs to get a complete picture of your total expenditure.
Some storage companies offer additional services such as climate control, insurance, and enhanced security features. While these can add to the overall cost, they provide significant value, especially if you’re storing sensitive items. Be sure to inquire about any additional fees upfront to avoid unexpected expenses.
Key Factors to Consider
Size Requirements-Choosing the right size storage trailer is crucial. Too small, and you won’t fit everything; too large, and you’re paying for unused space. Assess your storage needs carefully. Take inventory of what you plan to store and opt for a trailer that offers just enough room.
Climate Control-If you’re storing items sensitive to temperature and humidity, such as electronics, documents, or antique furniture, climate control is a must. Not all storage trailers come with this feature, so it’s important to confirm availability and associated costs.
Accessibility-Different storage solutions offer varying levels of accessibility. For instance, some storage trailers allow for 24/7 access, which can be crucial for businesses that might need to retrieve items outside of regular business hours. Homeowners might prioritize convenience and choose a trailer that’s easy to access.
Maximizing Your Storage Space
Organization Tips-Proper organization can significantly enhance the efficiency of your storage trailer. Use shelving units to maximize vertical space. Label boxes clearly to make items easy to find. Consider creating an inventory list to keep track of everything stored.
Security Measures-Ensuring the safety of your stored items is paramount. opt for storage trailers with robust security features such as lockable doors and alarm systems. Consider additional padlocks or even CCTV cameras if the items are particularly valuable.
Insurance Considerations-While storage companies often take precautions to protect your belongings, accidents can happen. Consider investing in insurance for added peace of mind. Many storage companies offer affordable insurance policies that cover a range of potential issues.
Finding the right storage solution
Finding the right storage solution is crucial for homeowners and small businesses in NJ and Phillipsburg. Play Pretend
Steve Rogers x Reader
Summary: During CATWS, you are Steve are both running from HYDRA acting like SHIELD while trying to uncover who the winter soldier is. Who knew being undercover would end in a kiss you may or may not have wanted for a while?
“The drive is a level six homing program so as soon as we boot up SHIELD will know exactly where we are,” you stated inside one of the tech stores in the mall as you tapped away at one of the computers. Steve looked around warily, not trusting anybody around except you.
Considering the day that the two of you have had, it makes sense. Since HYDRA infiltrated SHIELD secretly, the two of you have been being hunted down by them for the past couple hours or so. It’s been both stressful and taxing, but Steve refused to let HYDRA fire the cannons in the helicarriers. He was not going to let a bunch of innocent people die when he could’ve stopped it.
You couldn’t let that happen either, so here you are working with the super soldier.
“How much time do we have?” He asked seriously, continuing to survey the room and protect you both from threats.
You didn’t look up from the laptop, trusting that Steve had your back, “um, ‘bout nine minutes from,” you plugged the silver hard drive into the USB port, “now.”
Just as you plugged in the hard drive, files opened up on the computer a dozen at a time. You worked quickly to sort your way through them, knowing you were running on borrowed time.
“This drive is protected by some sort of AI, it keeps rewriting itself to counter my commands.” you tell Steve.
He turned to look over your right shoulder at the laptop as well, “Can you override it?”
“The person who developed this is slightly smarter than me,” you breathed out, not sparing a glance at the blonde super soldier or anybody else roaming the store, “slightly.”
You continued to work away at the files on the computer as Steve both watched you work and kept lookout for anybody who might be hostile.
“I’ll try running a tracer,” you said, and in doing so more files opened up on the screen, “this is program that SHIELD developed to attracted hostile malware, so if we can’t read the file maybe we can find out where it came from,” you realized.
Just after you said that, an employee at the store, a taller man with long blonde hair with an untidy mustache and beard came up to your left shoulder, “Can I help you guys with anything?” He asked politely.
You immediately took action, looking up from the screen with a bright smile on your face, “Oh! No, my fiancé was just helping me with some honey moon destinations!” You said with enthusiasm, pulling Steve to stand in the way of the employee so he couldn’t see the screen.
“Right.” Steve said, standing as you leaned on his shoulder pretending to be his fiancé, “We’re getting married.” He said with a smile on his face as you went back to work, trying to figure out the files and where you two should go next.
“Congratulations!” The employee responded with a sincere smile painted across his face, “Where are you guys thinking about going?”
As the man tried to look past Steve’s shoulder to see the screen as you ‘looked for honey moon locations’, Steve quickly stepped in the way again, and glanced at the screen, “New Jersey.”
“Huh.” The man said, looking a tad bit skeptical as he slowly opened his mouth in realization, “I have the exact same glasses.”
Steve let out a sigh of relief, glad to know that the man didn’t recognize him as Captain America, the man who was wanted by a government agency.
“Wow,” you started in a monotone voice, once again not looking up from the laptop screen, “you two are practically twins.”
The employee chuckled a little, “Yeah, I wish,” he said looking Steve up and down, surveying his muscles, making a box gesture with his hands, “specimen.”
“Uh, if you guys need anything, I’m Eric, thank you.” He said showing his employee identify card that hung around his neck. With that, the kind employee walked away.
Steve turned back to look at the screen, immediately once again focused on the task at hand after the strange encounter with the awkward worker.
“You said nine minutes, come on.” He said, implying for you to hurry up.
“Relax,” you said calmly, a small but sly smile taking over your face followed by a, “got it.”
The laptop made a noise. Wheaton, NJ, the location that you two needed to go to, popped up on the screen. Steve squinted to see it, “You know it?” You asked, looking at him.
“I used to,” he told you, “let’s go.” He grabbed the hard drive from the laptop, shoving it in his pocket.
The two of you walked shoulder to shoulder out of the store. You kept your head down and Steve did the same minus the occasional look around to see who was around. It didn’t take him long to understand the situation you were in.
“Standard tag-team: Two behind, two across, two coming straight at us. If they make us all engage you hit the self escalator in the metro-” He tried to plan as you both kept walking at a faster pace with your heads down, but you interrupted him.
“Shut up and put your arm around me, laughing at something I said.” You instructed calmly.
“What?-“ He asked, confused at your plan.
“Do it.” You said quickly, losing patience at his plan to fight his way out of the mall.
Just as the two men in front of you were about to walk past, you and Steve put your heads together, he pretended to laugh at something you said while putting his arm around your shoulders.
The pair of men walked past you without even sparing much of a glance in your direction. Steve looked behind you as they passed, watching as the agents kept walking, trying to find you two.
In a couple of strides, you and Steve had stepped onto the second-floor escalator that was headed down to the first. You, standing on the step ahead of Steve, looked down ahead of you and saw Brock Rumlow, a known HYDRA agent, step onto the escalator from the first-floor going up to the second.
Reacting fast so your cover wouldn’t be blown, you turned around, catching Steve’s immediate attention, “Kiss me.”
“What?” He asked, once again caught off-guard by your strange way of staying hidden in the crowd.
“Public displays of affection make people very uncomfortable.” You explained.
“Yes they do.” Steve agreed.
Without giving him time to think or register what you were doing, you stood on your tip toes, hooked your hand around the side of his face and brought his lips down to meet yours, kissing him.
Out of the corner of his eye, Steve saw Brock turn away with a look of disgust on his face and continued up to the second floor without any suspicions of you and him.
Noticing that Rumlow was no longer looking your direction, you detached your lips from Steve’s and turned around, returning to the position you stood in when you first got on the escalator.
“You still uncomfortable?” You asked, not bothering to turn around and look at him, knowing that he was in-fact very uncomfortable.
“It’s not exactly the word I would use.” He responded, and you both walked smoothly off the escalator and out the front doors of the mall.
Despite the shock of the kiss, Steve had to give you credit- it was a great idea, and you were a damn good kisser.

We recently had an interview with the CEO of one of the largest Support Coordination Agencies located in NJ, about the current COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it is having on their business, employees and the families they serve. The CEO & his partner, who is also a managing member of one of the largest Support Coordination Agencies, are continuing to serve families during this difficult time.
In recent weeks Coronavirus has triggered the nation’s largest work-from-home experiment. Companies and employees are learning to adapt to working conditions where people all over the world are being forced to socially isolate. For Social Services Agencies and their Support Coordinators, whose work revolves around home visits and building strong relationships with their patients, this is proving to be a challenging time. Upon interviewing the CEO we found that a combination of early planning, strong state support, and the use of appropriate technology can largely overcome the difficulties of running a “relationship-based business” during a time of social isolation and it helps us take a better look at how technology is enabling them to work from home.
FieldWorker: Hi, Thanks for taking the time to discuss the current situation and how the COVID-19 pandemic is currently impacting your business, Support Coordinators and the families that you serve. First, how are you doing personally?
CEO: We’re doing well, thanks. I’m working from home on the first floor of my house and my wife is working on the third floor.
FieldWorker: Glad to hear that you’re doing well. We were thinking of you guys and how things must be a little crazy right now. Will your partner be joining us as well?
CEO: I don’t think so, she’s been on emergency calls and if I get bombarded with calls, I might need to drop off as well.
FieldWorker: That’s perfectly fine, and we understand. We’ll try to keep this short so you can get back to helping families!
FieldWorker: How are you doing as a company? Both Management & Support Coordinators in the field?
CEO: We are doing well. We got out ahead of this, we were concerned about the safety of our employees and asked our Support Coordinators to start working from home in early March to keep our staff out of harms way. It’s been pretty hectic trying to keep up with all of the calls and emails, but we’ve been using technology to stay connected.
Fieldworker: How are the families you serve managing and coping in the current environment?
CEO: it’s a difficult time for the Parents since they closed all of the day programs, parents have to stay home to look after the children but the state is doing a good job and allowing Parents to become Self-Directed employees to ease the financial burden.
FieldWorker: If & how has the State of NJ or the federal govt. changed/adapted to work with Support Coordinator and service provider agencies to make sure that the needs of the families are met?
CEO: The state has done a good job, they have deferred face to face and home visits and allowed us to use technology to do video calls for now.
FieldWorker: What are you as a business finding difficult at this time?
CEO: Ours is a relationship-based business, we want to meet people face to face and that is not possible, we are making do as best as we can.
FieldWorker: Is there something that you wish you could do differently that would have been able to make things better?
CEO: I wish that there was a pandemic protocol and plan in place already, instead we have had to scramble and rush and do things to continue to provide the level of service we like to provide.
FieldWorker: How are the Service Provider Agencies that you work with adapting to this new environment?
CEO: The service provider agencies that we work with are excellent and have very committed people. They have had to adapt even more since a lot of the day facilities that are operated by Service Providers are now closed, and they have had to go in the field to provide these services. They are doing a very good job as well.
FieldWorker: What message do you have for the State?
CEO: Governor Phil Murphy, and the state are doing a very good job, they have adapted, the DDD and DHHS have been sending emails, webinars, materials and keeping us, Service Providers and families informed of the changes.
Despite the difficulties they had been facing, the CEO was calm and hopeful. He spoke about how they hoped this pandemic would create a sense of urgency across all industries to create “pandemic protocols and plans”. They also kept emphasizing how theirs was a relationship-based business, and when it came to resources and technology, video calling was only the tip of the iceberg. They are often overwhelmed with paperwork and taking notes for all of their meetings, where technology can step in in the form of dictation tools. Moreover, there is a huge requirement for online data banks and document archives in order to appropriately store and retrieve important information for patients.
As a result of distressed families and parents, the CEO and his partner are also taking more calls and checking in with their patients more often, sometimes even responding to emergencies. This reality makes all of us at Fieldworker think about how we can adapt our Field Service Management Technology to serve the new demands of support coordinators. In the current situation, we all find ourselves asking each other, how can we make our businesses and jobs pandemic proof by using technology? One thing we know for sure is that such technology must enable support coordinators to spend the most amount of their time taking care of their patients, and the least amount of time worrying about paperwork, document archiving and note-taking.
Upon asking the CEO and his partner what advice they would give other Social Services Agencies they said:
Look out for your staff, and the families you serve, provide the staff with the resources they need and the materials so that they can do their job well and access the information they need at all times.
This answer reaffirmed our mission to create easy-to-use software that ensures daily heroes, like the CEO and his partner, can continue to do their job well.
We would love to have you join our no cost pilot program – Let’s schedule a 15 minute window to talk – Schedule a call here
If you have any questions, please get in touch at [email protected] or visit our website https://fieldworker.ai
Best Regards,

↳ summary all of my ‘under 5 feet’ ladies, rejoice, in this fic, we are talking about major height differences in a couple and the shits we are going through that tall lads don’t, no shade, i love you tol, but sometimes we petites gotta remember to love ourselves, as we are
↳ notes lumière [lymjɛʀ] french, meaning light or shine
↳ warning extreme self-roast *hi i’m 1.49cm tall*, loving a tol person despite all odds, terrible cuteness beyond imagination, heart fluttering-smile inducing-read, a piece written from self-induced depression to prove that bad things can be beautiful

↳ special mentions @fangirlaholicxx this was a gift to you, and i guess, for us little people, to love someone as tall as namjoon is a far fetched dream *toss aside all our other tall biases* and you of all people know how much it bothers me, for the way i whine about the parking buttons being too high, and not able to reach the pedals without adjusting my car seat, or how things i wanted to purchase is always placed so high, complaining as to why namjoon isn’t here yet to help me; this is for you, in the midst of your exam week, thanks for being patient & being my friend :)
↳ song ed sheeran ‘Tenerife Sea’ ; that sweet-sweet part where he sang ‘lumière, darling.’
Everyone thinks having a major height different with your beau is the cutest thing in the world. Easy for you to say, if you're not the one going through it endlessly, day-by-day.
Standing at 181 cm, Namjoon is one lanky dude. That's what your cousin told you when she first met him. Several years later, he is still too tall and it's either you're getting shorter or he's getting taller. You swore by the stars in your eyes, that it's the latter.
Crumpled sheets, waking up next to him is not as romantic as the movies depicted. You'd wake up, hair frenzied, and slapping his bicep because he is hogging the blanket all over to his side. His limbs drape over you, and it feels like a tree log that falls over after a typhoon. Not to mention that it is incredibly impossible to wake up and not trip over those legs. You fall flat on your face and that's your version of a wake up call. He curls to his side and invade your side of the bed when you wake up. Almost everyday, you fall to your back on the floor at the side of the bed to give him more space.
Cute? The sore disagrees.
Not when your morning work up includes jumping in place to get that shower head down to your height and failing. Do you know how dangerous that is? Wet floor, wiggling fingers to grasp air and have it finally toppling over your head, eliciting a tiny 'Ow'.
Shoulder and neck gets treated with a warm run of the water from the shower head, tips to keep living with a long lamp post beau. It soothes the strains, those knotted capillaries relaxes at the contact of warm water. Stepping out of the shower, drying the tips of your hair that managed to get wet, only to huff tiredly at the sight of the hair dryer place on the top shelf every time Namjoon uses them. Shutting your eyes and sighing in agony, the morning workout is endless. You do what you usually do: climb over the sink counter and get the hair dryers. You walk outside, and see him seated on the bed, gathering the blankets around his waist, eyes still shut. Adorable. You pushed his bangs away and grant him a simple brush of lips on his forehead. When else can you do that if not now?
Namjoon is a makeshift ladder sometimes, for changing bulbs and cleaning ceiling fans. It is never not funny because he always hanging his mouth open to watch you clean and the dust gets eaten by him. He'll choke and stagger in his stance, then you'll drop on the couch as he gathers himself. However, the situation worsens from here on end. Because? Height difference are so much apparent in public settings.
While it is easy for other couples to take cute selfies by the park, standing up. It is almost impossible for you to be in the same frame as Namjoon is, because he was too tall.
Either you took a picture of his tummy next to your face, or he takes a picture of his face next to the top of your head, with your eyes and forehead nowhere to be seen. It's annoying when you see the pictures he had taken with that huge smile of his and the strand of your hair. One thing about being in a relationship with major height difference, is when you hold hands, to walk together but he ends up walking too fast anyways, even when he didn’t mean to. So you've given up.
There once or twice he’d lost you in the crowd, and having to result to drastic measures to find you. Because no height is too tall for you, you fit in almost any places. Namjoon had made it a rule for you to walk in front of him so it's easier and no one gets lost. What he didn't figure out is that, he'd be so endorsed to keeping you safe, that he doesn't see the tree branches you walked under to be in his exact height and slap him in the face. Smack!
Once or twice, or several times, he gets knocked over by certain ceilings that you walked under unscathed. In underground train station, he has to tip his head to the side going down the escalator because his height is above average and no one cares about him. Your warning comes in a single word: Head, and it is only declared when the ceilings are too low. Your warning often comes too late. Provided his long legs and your comfortable stroll. Even signboard are as tall as he is. Sitting by the bleachers to cater to him is common. You enjoy it sometimes, but when you see the look in his brimming eyes, your smile disappears and cooing begins. He might be a really big man, but to you, he’s just a big baby.
In the outsiders eyes, you two are quite a mismatched couple. And some call you two, adorable. There's nothing adorable having to tiptoe every time you wanted to kiss on the sidewalks. Craning your head back and puckering your lips, knowing fully well that he could just walk away in three long strides to the next block, leave you hanging. Surprise kisses are out of the window. There's no surprise kisses when he is standing. Watching yourself in the full length mirror is a pain because you look like his child. He ruffles your head with ease and his cap covers half of your face. There's nothing you can share with him, at least physically. All his clothes are yours, yes. But all your clothes, are his handkerchiefs. Literally.
Things gets worse when you both are fighting. For a couple who can only be eye-to-eye when seated or lying down, heated arguments are not welcomed.
It's easy for him to ignore you, he'll act as if you aren't there. Your height makes it impossible for him to keep a straight face. The weight of the discussion is dismissed almost every time. He'll just have to avert his eyes elsewhere when you're talking about something important to you. And it calls for drastic measures from your side. That include standing on the edge of the bed, or dragging the dining chair to where he is to get to his eye level. His jaws would twitch and his lips tug into a smile, and then your hell breaks loose.
It frustrates you to the point that you would stomp the floor, balling fists on your sides. And that leaves Namjoon no choice but to manhandle you out of arguments, against your will of course. If things took turn for the worst, like when you're sulking, or giving him the cold shoulder, he tightens all the jar overnight so you can't open them the next morning. All your mugs and cereals are magically placed on the top shelf. But you're a tough cookie, so climbing over kitchen top is your forte.
Still think it's cute? Not when you’re aging.
As a counter attack, you hide his charger in the smallest space you could find in your house and unplug his computer knowing he can't fit in the small desk without knocking everything down. It doesn't end there. You put pillow forts between him and you when you watch TV sitting on the couch, in the living room. All he have to do is swat his hand over the fragile fort to get you jumping over him and choking him. He stands up and drape his limb over your entire body, smothering you with kisses, holding you in place while you watch the program, defeated, confined in his body prison unable to do anything. Fighting over the last jelly is fruitless. Namjoon would just put them above your head and you're left hopping in place. A punch on his stomach will make him cower. It usually work, even for a kiss. The lines between pleasure and pain are a blur.
You can never reach the train handle, to fix that, Namjoon holds the train handle for you, and place your hand on his biceps. Or you could wrap your arm around his waist. His stroll at the park feels like a jog to you. To make things easier, he carries you on his back. Or get a tandem bicycle, the bicycle with two seats. He'll cycle, you'll just have to place your feet on the pedal without doing anything but eat ice cream. A lot of time the seat needed to be adjusted so you could climb on and off, with ease.
Taking pictures in standing booth is definitely a challenge. You'll get upset at the view of the screen where only half of your face is showing, so he bends his knees and carry you a bit. Your legs on each of his sides facing him, the camera captures you cupping his face as he gaze up to you with his dimple showing. You share lip lock in the fun moments and the photos printed out the sequences is almost always satisfying. Sitting on the bookstores floor, leaning your head on his as he reads to you something from Hamlet's screenplay. Turning the pages, and your head moves together, blurting out the sentence on the same page. Falling asleep on the two seats at the back of the bus, your head linking on each other.
He makes it easier. But both of you are homebodies for all the good reasons. Where you could be you, and he could be him.
Where reading books, laying your stomach over his thigh is your version of a date, too endorsed in the words to notice how uncomfortable the position is. Where working out together means you sitting on his back, counting him down with every push up and repeating certain numbers to get on his nerves. Where dancing in his t shirt and your hair down while he fake sings pretending a remote is a microphone is your kind of fun, with music blasting in the background. Prancing around, wiggling butts, making your own concert at home is your favorite past times. Napping in different positions, with the opal curtains down. Watching movies with you sitting between his legs, leaning your back on his hard chest. He passes a few kisses atop of your hair, answering your questions about the movie with muffled yeses. Feeding him cheeseballs; one for you, one for him. Him falling asleep midway through the movie, and watching him instead, until you yourself lay your head on his chest, your face in the crook of his neck and drifted as well.
It seems like the only time you can be a real couple is when one person is lying down, or at home. In the pool. Like your little secret universe. A best kept secret.
Pushing him into the pool. The first time he went to the pool with you when you started dating, he made sure the world knew he couldn’t swim when you bolted at him to fall in the pool, wailing, screaming his head off, literally crying. He only stopped when you told him to stand straight because the pool’s height was less than six feet. You checked. He was so embarrassed, he couldn’t look at you in the eye. While you float on your back in a relaxed manner. Then he got really comfortable. So comfortable with you.
Pushing you after you pushed him in the water, before joining you. Kissing underwater. Lots of kissing underwater.
Floating on the surface of the water in floats while he directs by guiding your float. Never able to sit on the float together because he is too heavy. So he takes out a larger one with a smug smile. Basking under the sun with colored sunglasses, on the floats. Him lifting you up by the waist so you could seat on the brims and hand him his drink while his face crumpled in disgust at the taste which was actually red ginseng that you put inside instead of the strawberry cordial he was asking for. Your pranks are endless. But hey, it was for his health. And stamina. He is going to need that, having a lover as small as you.
But one thing rings true: Slow-dancing is not romantic when you come at the eye level of his titties.
However it is cute when your chin touches his chest to look up at him, and he reaches down with his protruding lips before he even get there. House chores are always fun together. He takes on the outdoors, sweeping away the dried leaves and hosing down the entire balcony with water. You are vacuuming indoors, separated by only a sliding glass door. Mid way handling those tasks, Namjoon would bother you by knocking on the glass door to gain your attention. He waits for you to come near and place his large palm flat on the glass, for you to place yours. He gets contented by this. And you don’t mind playing along. It’s a form of intimacy. That most people out there don’t understand. Or care to understand. The smile he has on, right after, is always so rewarding.
Intimacy is expensive. It is priceless. It is when he thumbs your lips and pinches your chin so he could kiss you. It is when he trace his index finger on the outline of your face when you're sleeping. It is when he stares into your fluttering shut eyes, love in his heart--something he had trouble comprehending in the past. It is when he lays on his stomach, wondering what you're dreaming of and secretly hoping that it's him.
Motioning closer with his elbows digging the mattress, he presses his lips on the tip of your eyebrows and letting them linger, he prays that you know how much you meant to him. There’s so much meaning, silence could carry. And they are not always bad when you’re together. He could speak endlessly about his theories, his political views, what he thought about the galaxy, but when it comes to you, there are so little words. When words couldn’t compensate his emotions, actions takes place. More holding, more touching, more kissing. More. It baffles him how the feeling is like faith. Love, the only thing in the world science couldn’t explain. It just...exist.
He lived a life without you, and as the days goes by, he often wonder how he managed to go through that phase alone. After that glimmering, goosebump worthy moment of the first kiss you shared, Namjoon never want to go a day without it even if you’re fighting, and not speaking to each other. The little breath you took as if you’ve been waiting for him, the relief felt like the weight lift off his chest.
Kissing, touching, holding you becomes his favorite hobby.
So in love, to even realize the shortcomings you have. In the past, you begged him to leave you because you have brought so much difficulties in his life, your stern self loathe didn't scare him one bit. A full blown argument about this arises so many times than he care to count. Cornered with your own negative thoughts, hounded by the things you don't have rather than what you have. Shuddering in your sentences, and once it gets too much, he throws you over his shoulder and shut the bedroom door behind him. To simply talk. To simply sit you down in the middle of the bed while he knelt at the bed listening to you. Tears would spill mid sentence, the fragile strength is gone at the sight of Namjoon soft gaze. He thumbs your tears away, squeezing your cheeks between his hands till your lips look like a puffer fish, pulling you into a kiss. Action speaks louder than words.
Before parting to do his project, Namjoon always resorts to a sudden roll a few nights before. That involves bothering you while you work, read or in the midst of watching drama, telling you to hurry up because he is impatient and needed you there and then, in breathy voices and sloppily placed kisses. He becomes straightforward with what he wants and the reason behind that hurried lip lock is because he needed to be away in his studio, soon. That was the only way that works which guarantees that he won't be having you sulking because he got too busy. And it always gets super spicier when it has been awhile. Hungrier, wilder, sweatier.
Suddenly, height isn't such a major problem. Not when satisfaction is met. Must be your voice, or your touches, or the way you look at him; it has to be something unrelated to physical proportions because he swore on his ancestors graves that he has everything he needs in you.
In the morning when the parting comes, he made sure to whisper in your ear when he leaves. Peppering kisses down your cheek, jaws, neck and shoulder, then trailing down your arms in a hurry, promising that he won't be long as you moan tiredly in return. He says he'll call, he'll text. With the guarantee that you'll be at the receiving end because there's nothing he hates more than to be away from you and not hearing from you, as frequently as he needed to. It's not an exaggeration to say that his sanity depends on it.
One of his favorite thing to do when you're away, is to remember how he could feel your quickening pulse when his lips pressed on the skin next to your windpipe. It happens to be one of your sweet spot, as lucky as he was to find out about that. It becomes an indicator to you that he wants some time together when he kisses that area. In desperate, pressing moments, he'll add a swipe of his tongue, nibble and bite on them. Guaranteed to send you to an overdrive. He likes the thought of it and frequently imagines it when he can't be with you, due to work. It sends tingles down his spine, flutters on his lips and his brain spinning in a euphoric high that he will claim the moment he sets foot on the doorstep.
That emotional bond is so much stronger than the longest legs of the most gorgeous models on the runway he used to fantasize about. That spiritual linkage is the thing that lingers when you're not around, that keeps him wanting more. When you're not within his grasp, he gets uncomfortable and unspeakably lonely beyond words. That explains why he rushes his work so he could go home to you. To lean his back on the headboard, linking foreheads. To talk about his vulnerability without judgement in your eyes. To share a kiss that begins with a simple caress on one side of the face, to savor the taste of his lips with closed eyes and a small smile that grows long after the kiss ended for him to see just how much power you gave him.
He didn't come home to a girl his own height, didn't come home for a comfortable hug and shoulder-to-shoulder nudge; he comes home to the devotion he couldn't find anywhere else, to the small petite girl he'd give the world to, perhaps even the galaxy--if he could get his hands on them. All the songs are about you. Every words, every wild night, every touch and every tantalizing moment, are for you.
Crumpled sheets, lanky legs and bruised foreheads. Strained neck, shoulders and swollen Achilles tendons. Tummy selfies, and eyes peeping at the corner of the picture frames. Standing on chairs, and tightening jars. Cheek kisses, hand holding, gazing into each others eyes. Perhaps the only way to counter attack a major height difference, is to have major crush on each other. Constantly. Without fail.

Small Business Spotlight Series: Best Boutique Wellness Studios in the NY Metro Area
Spring has officially arrived and with the change in weather often comes a newfound surge of energy, and opportunity for renewal. New York is arguably the capital of health start-ups that cater to self-improvement, and mental health is equally as important to physical health. In addition to the ever-growing fitness scene, wellness studios, which focus on mindfulness, meditation and well-being are popping up all over the city. We like to think of them as gyms for the soul.
No one knows this city better than our very own agents, so we asked them to tell us about their favorite wellness studios and spaces in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. While these small businesses offer an array of services, they all provide peaceful and energizing respites from our agents’ busy lives.
WOOM Center The Bowery, NYC
A studio that specializes in multi-sensory meditation, the WOOM Center is particularly popular for its sound vibration therapy. After a relaxing sound bath, you can head to the café for nourishing juices and superfood products.
Recommended by Katie Thurber of our Park Avenue office
Bodhi Holistic Spa Hudson, NY
From yoga and Pilates classes to a spa with massages and other healing therapies, Bodhi in Hudson is an oasis of relaxing and transformational services. In addition, there is also a functional salon as well as a shop where you can pick up bath essentials, body products, and more.

MNDFL Meditation Greenwich Village & UES, NYC Williamsburg, Brooklyn
“MNDFL is the home of warm, welcoming meditation studios perfect for everyone from curious first-timers to highly experienced meditators,” Mindy Feldman says. Recommended by Mindy Diane Feldman of our East Side office

You can often find Nikki Greenberg at Humming Puppy, her favorite place in New York. She describes it as a “boutique yoga studio offering mellow, dynamic, and unified vinyasa flow classes in a ridiculously stylish setting.” You can do your practice in a heated room to the sound of a hum, and then enjoy herbal tea, coconut water, and a hot shower afterwards. All equipment is provided free of charge, too. Above everything else, Nikki enjoys learning from “fantastic teachers in a beautiful setting that makes you want to come back every day.”
Recommended by Nikki Greenberg
Maha Rose Greenpoint, Brooklyn

From acupuncture and craniosacral therapy to crystal healing and hypnosis, Maha Rose is a wellness lover’s dream.
Recommended by Katie Thurber of our Park Avenue office
Powerflow Yoga Hoboken & Jersey City, NJ
Maria Oblow recommends wearing moisture-wicking exercise clothes to Powerflow Yoga because the rooms are heated to 95˚ and you’ll definitely sweat. “It’s a sweaty, powerful, and meditative experience that will help you turn down the noise of everyday life,” she says. The classes aren’t easy, but they’re upbeat and “get you out of your head and back into your body.”
Recommended by Maria Oblow of our Hoboken office
Core Pilates Flatiron District, NYC
Core Pilates offers both private and group sessions as well as specialty pre- and postnatal classes and classes for seniors. Richard Grossman, who has been practicing Pilates here for over 12 years, enjoys the studio’s low-key atmosphere, reasonable fees structure, and great instructors.

The Mercedes Club has all the conveniences of an indoor fitness club while also offering beautiful outdoor spaces. The fitness oasis boasts a 10,000-square-foot sunlit fitness floor, group exercise studios, sauna and steam rooms, and indoor and outdoor pools. “There’s a clubhouse feel to it,” Deb Miller says. “In addition to working out, you can have a sauna and steam, get a massage, enjoy a smoothie, sunbathe, and take part in movie nights and other social programming.”
Recommended by Deb Miller of our Harlem office
Kaia Yoga Greenwich, Darien, and Westport, CT
Kaia Yoga has four locations in Connecticut, and they offer a range of yoga classes for all levels that include: pre-natal, family, mommy-and-me, and hot yoga. In your own point of view and experience, what is the most interesting characteristic about each type?
(I am not sorry for the Star Wars gifs. Everything is SW, and nothing hurts.)
I may go with the unexpected. Things the online profiles don’t prepare you for.
ESTJ: their perverse sense of humor. You expect an ESTJ to be some hard-assed fascist dictator and instead they crack you up with a story about their first day on cop duty how they accidentally tasered someone in their privates. It’s that low-order Ne, man. It’s hilarious but not in a mixed company sort of way.
ISTJ: how much they actually can admire rule-breakers and how considerate they can be. I have sat through movies with ESTP protagonists who you’d just expect the stoic, sensible ISTJ to look at them and go, “Geez, what a loser, he takes too many risks,” and instead… they walk out with the ESTP being their favorite character. Shadow function envy? Also, they tend to be really hard on anyone who tries to shame other people and/or refuses to allow the other person to be their true self.
ESFJ: the stereotype is the class cheerleader, but a lot of the ESFJs I know are more serious (and often successful) business owners who build up a trust system with their clients which makes everyone feel warm and invited. I’ve met a few ‘intellectual’ ESFJs who are free spirited, who have globe-trotted (without a plan, I might add), who got married on impulse (and made it last), who have a ton of different interests (and a huge amount of knowledge about all of them), and are fine with ‘any lifestyle’ provided it is not cruel toward others.
ISFJ: tend to be much more strongly opinionated than you might expect, and a lot of them want to foster a sense of independence and respect. They tend to hunger for ‘more’ and to push away from tradition as they get older. And, contrary to stereotypes, I have actually seen many of them change their minds over a relatively short period of time given time to orient themselves in an idea. If you can prove to them how it works better, they are happy to use it.
ESTP: how totally chill a lot of them are and how, contrary to profiles might suggest, many of them are not thrill-seeking psychopaths, but instead good-natured neighborhood dudes who sometimes enjoy popping a beer in the backyard with some friends and just having a good time. Unfortunately, a few bad ESTPs (fictional and real) have given them a bad reputation for being hotheaded jackasses, but a lot of them are just… chill. And not inclined to speak with their fists first.
ISTP: how low-key mild mannered and considerate they can be. They are not the gushy, affirming types, and they are not Sherlock Holmes; a lot of them do seem to work in computer programming jobs, but none of the healthy ones I know go out of their way to earn praise or attention, and many of them actually make friendship decisions to protect their friends’ feelings and not overwhelm them with needs. Yet, they need encouragement much of the time.
ESFP: you would expect them to be the party hard type, and instead what I often find is witty, funny and intense people who care about their job performance and in making good impressions, and who have razor sharp insights into people that are not often delusional; they take people at face value, they make judgment calls on their behavior, and a lot of them are not into those notorious tert-Te smack-downs you hear about; most of the ones I know would rather let you keep their borrowed pants forever than charge into your closet and take them back.
ISFP: some of the purest, most sincere people I have ever met, but also those who show the most frankness in expressing their views. They tend to be thoughtful but also have a sharp sense of right and wrong, and are not going to back down on it, but a lot of them hate confrontation so will not ‘provoke’ anything. They tend to be very hands on people, and I’ve seen them know the people they care about most better than their loved one does themselves.
ENTJ: I never expected the ENTJ to be the most emotionally mellow, and considerate, person in his work office, but… he neither takes anything personally nor especially judges the people he works with, for their emotional outbursts; he simply sits and listens to them, a bit puzzled perhaps that this incident caused this torrent of emotion, but he is generous almost to a fault, and if he’s going to blow his money on something, it’s usually on his friends.
INTJ: online profiles would have you think INTJs are egocentric robots, who have almost uncanny insights and never change their minds… so imagine my surprise to run in their circles and find intense, thoughtful, dry-humored people who take a long, long time to make up their mind and form careful arguments (which, yeah, can be unshakable unless you bring solid evidence). Some of them (weirdly enough, often the men I’ve met) tend to have an emotional storm inside, and no way to get it out.
ENFJ: I’m not sure where the idea of ultra-extroverts came from, if it’s a hold-over from their friends the ESFJs, but ENFJs seem to need less socialization and constant stimulus due to their aux Ni function. Many of them will step back and allow the sensors to dominate the floor, because they simply do not need that kind of external sensory fulfillment. Many of them tend to be far more spontaneous than you might expect from an NJ, and a lot of them just trust that they can seize the right moment when it comes and do not waste a lot of time worrying about it. Things will just… work out. They know it. And, most of the ones I’ve met think they’re introverts half the time.
INFJ: you expect Ghandi and find someone who is genuinely weird (I mean that in a nice way) and eclectic and occasionally says peculiar, abstract things right before they go back to psycho-analyzing Hannibal Lecter for 6 hours while they plan the Star Trek story you’re co-authoring with them in their heads. True story. I was blessed. And also slightly terrified.
ENTP: you go looking for Benjamin Franklin, and instead you find a brilliantly moronic maniac who puts just as much thought into figuring out what drives the villains in Star Wars as they do abstract systems and proving people wrong. Far from the stereotype of an absent minded professor, these ultra-thinkers will actually engage you in the most loony nonsensical conversations you have ever had in your life and either leave you thoroughly entertained or very confused right before they turn around and suggest they’re an ENTJ instead.
INTP: you expect a college professor, and instead you wind up with Terry Pratchett, someone who quite enjoys poking holes in every theory, mocking all that is sacred (for his amusement and yours) and is often… surprisingly, not that offensive while doing it. You expect a certain level of jackass from inferior Fe but I’ve seen INTPs go out of their way to avoid offending people!
ENFP: have a reputation for being inconsiderate, self-centered flirts, and instead can run themselves into exhaustion trying to help you out of every mess you find yourself in, because their Ne cannot bear to leave you as you are, in a hole, when there are so many ways to fix this!! A lot of them tend to forgive easily. Maybe because within 10 minutes, they forgot your name. ;)
INFP: have reputations as being the most easily hurt of all the types, but considering I’ve seen INFPs walking around giving no damns what anyone thinks of their appearance, their interest, or the BB8 following behind them, I think that’s a myth. I’ve also known a fair few to be quite fussy and even to undertake the “mothering” role toward those they love in ways that put ISFJ stereotypes to shame.
- ENFP Mod

The Girl Who Cried Wolf- C23
{A.N: BEFORE YOU START READING THIS, JUST KNOW THERE IS SENSITIVE TRIGGERING CONTENT. SO IF SELF HARM ISSUES TRIGGER YOU, PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS CHAPTER! AND IF YOU EVER NEED TO TALK, MESSAGE ME! IM ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU!}
{March 14th, 2014 Wyckoff, NJ Nick/Mel's Residence Nick-21|Mel-19}
It had been a crazy few months since the announcement that the band had broken up, it was like everyone's world had flipped upside down. Nick had up and left, going and traveling the world. Melissa had applied for the community college back home, so she was busy with classes.
Kevin and Dani were busy taking care of their newborn babygirl that had made her entrance into this world in February; Alena Rose Jonas.
But back home, Melissa was not in the right space mentally, without Nick home, she couldn't function by herself. And for the past few days, she had been ignoring any call that lit up her phone and didn't answer the door as Kevin and Joe came to check on her.
Everyone sadly had forgotten about the smallest factor of why Melissa would be acting like this, and that is her depression... her mental state that changed the way she saw the world. The way she saw herself... ——— It had been about 3 weeks now that she had been at home by herself, didn't respond to anyone, except for a time here or there that she answered when Nick called her.
She leaned back against the plush couch, staring off into the distance. Letting herself dive deep into her thoughts was probably the worst thing she could do. The thoughts, the horrible, powerful thoughts that consumed her daily.
Why does Nick stay with you? You're useless. Nothing goes right when you're around. Why do you even keep yourself going? End it!
The last thoughts made her heart stop, as she hadn't had life-threatening things take over her in such a long time.
Nothing was stopping her, no one could stop her. The small, empty house only helped the thoughts consume her more and more.
Soon enough the emptiness that was overtaking her all became so much that she needed to fill the void.
So there she was, sitting on the cold, tile floor... in nothing but one of Nick's t-shirts and shorts. Her head pounded so badly, that she needed some type of release.
She had no idea that Nick was currently on a flight back home... or that Nick had enlisted his older brothers to come and make sure the "honorary" Jonas was okay.
Melissa had a razor blade placed in her left hand, it trembling in the small hand. There were already 8 small cuts on her right wrist. The lines glaring back at her with hatred. The glistening red liquid splattering down on the white floor.
"Hey, Popstar!" Joe called out, making his way upstairs, stopping in his tracks as he saw the scene that was unfolding. "MEL! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Joe exclaimed, standing in the door way, as she looked up to see his horrified brown/hazel eyes.
"Joey..." was the only thing that could come out of her, without her breaking down completely. Melissa unconsciously squeezed the blade, that caused another wound, this time on the inside of her palm.
"MELISSA! Stop! KEV! I need your help!" Joe cried out, jumping into action, "YOU'RE HURTING YOURSELF! STOP!" the 24-year-old ran to her, immediately taking the blade out of her shaking hand and threw it across the room. His voice sounded extremely panicked, something Melissa had never heard from him.
"THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO HAPPEN, DUMBASS!" she exclaimed, sobs immediately taking over her small frame.
At that moment, Kevin ran in, repeating what his younger brother had just done seconds ago. "What the fuck??" he yelled, grabbing the blade that was right in front of his feet and washed it off. He closed up the blade in the protector, then placed it in his back pocket for safe keeping.
"Wait... Mel... what are you talking about? You don't possibly mean..." Joe paused, tears falling from his worried eyes.
Melissa looked up at him, "I-I..." she couldn't get anything else out properly, she just let the sobs take over her entirely.
Joe sighed deeply, and took the young girl in his arms, clutching onto her as tight as he could. "It's okay love... we can take care of this, we can fix you. I can fix this, okay? You just need to trust Kev and I." he said softly, but with a touch of seriousness laced in his voice as he looked straight into her eyes. "can you do that for us?"
She whimpered, nodding slowly, "we're gonna fix you up, then we will talk before Nick gets home. Come up with a game plan..." he promised, and that was when Kevin jumped into action to clean her up, placing bandages on the small cuts and wrapped a gauze bandage around her palm.
As Kevin was doing that, Joe sat back glancing down at all the blood surrounding them. "Totally okay... not gonna faint... it's just a little bit of blood." he kept repeating to himself, taking deep breaths.
Melissa's heart was racing faster than normal, it felt like all the air in her lungs was leaving her body... but there was nothing anyone could do about it.
"G-Guys.. do... d-do you hate me now?" she stuttered out, her eyes gazing at the two older Jonases. She honesty was afraid to hear the answer from the both of them. She couldn't live without them... especially Nick.
"What? Why would you think we'd hate you Mel. We could never do that... but, babe. You need to tell me, what changed? Why are you suddenly hurting yourself?" Kevin asked, looking into her eyes as he finished cleaning her up, and softly took her into his arms to take them to the couch downstairs.
"What happened to you since the band broke up? Why haven't you been answering any of us? Have you even left this house since Nick left?" Joe continued on, knowing they were throwing a million questions at her, but it was needed.
Melissa sat there, pulling her knees up to her chest, realizing that the two of them had no idea of her past with self-harm and hatred... "I've always been like this... you guys just didn't know it. Nick knows that I did it in the past, I had gotten a little bit of therapy, but because the band was always so busy, the therapy was put on... on hold." she sighed.
As they kept on waiting for her to speak more, her anxiousness started to get the better of her, "and no... Nick didn't do anything... he treats me like the most precious thing on earth, which I don't understand why.... I don't know what h-happened... I just... I-I... I don't know okay?!" she cried out, her head spinning as she tried to keep calm.
"Hey... hey babe, it's okay. C'mon, deep breaths. Talk to me, yah? There's clearly something going on, and if you don't want to talk to us about it... can you at least confide in Nick?" Joe begged, reaching out and grabbed a hold of her hand. "You need to get those thoughts out of your head before it consumes you completely again." he sighed, looking into her eyes.
Wait... was he going to tell Nick about what just happened? Fear began to bubble up inside of her trembling body.
"YOU CAN'T TELL NICK!" she cried out, her body being thrown into overdrive again, and she broke down, her fingernails digging into Joe's hand.
"Then talk to me... to us." Joe reasoned, they both just wanted her safe.
"I-I just needed to feel something... anything to get the voices to stop." she sobbed, chewing on her bottom lip. "Yes, I love Nick, and I love being with you guys... but I just... I don't want to be here any longer..." she stumbled on her words, "life isn't easy being me."
"How long has this been going on? The voices?" Kevin questioned, his phone in hand, ready to dial Nick's number if need be.
"The depression and anxiety has been practically my whole life... but the self harm has been going on for years. This was the first time I've relapsed since my parents' divorce." she said slowly, like as if she was watching her words.
"You need to tell Nick about this relapse... just think what would've happened if we hadn't found you..." Joe mumbled, realization hitting him hard and he had to force himself to wipe away the tears that fell.
"I don't want to tell him. You know if he knew I was cutting again... he'd get so protective over me... more so then he already is. And I would never be able to leave him, never have my own air to breathe. Please don't make me tell him."
Everyone was so wrapped up in the conversation at hand that they didn't hear Nick walk in to the house, "tell me what guys?"
Melissa's head shot up, and she cried out, "fuck."
So the next few hours was spent talking everything out, and everyone cried even more than they have been.
She tried to reason with Nick, tried to convince him that she was fine... but it didn't work. He told her that she'd stay with him, even though he was done traveling and clearing his own head for now.
The night ended with everyone heading to Kevin and Dani's house and having a movie night. Nick didn't let go of Melissa practically at all, he was too afraid that if he let her go, something would happen to her all over again... and he would die before he'd let that happen again.
They were laying on one of the couches, Melissa snuggled into Nick's chest, "I love you." she mumbled, peeking up at him.
"I love you more angel." he replied, moving her closer, if that was even possible.
"I know... that we can get higher... there's levels to your love... there's levels to your love, and I keep on climbing up." he sang softly to her, as he watched her drift off to sleep.

A Dream, Being Alone, and Andrew Bogut: AN ANGEL. LOVES KIDS, CATS & POLITE WIOTHER DOGS.AVERAGE RATED tD-3ブ948,-@-g-YF )UNG, 68 LBS. N AGC TO BE KILLED - 8/15/2018 SUKI IS AN ANGEL ON EARTH, AND SHE’D LIKE TO STAY THAT WAY, PLEASE! <3 She’s simply an angel on earth, a chubby, cuddly, super sweet senior who lost her home when her parent became homeless. With them SUKI lost many friends, including the 14 year old child she loved, the cat she adored the many dogs who she used to play with in the neighborhood. Now, this affectionate, perfect 9 year old senior lady is hoping with all her gentle heart that a family will give her a new retirement home. There is not a person on earth who doesn’t fall instantly in love with SUKI the minute they meet her. Wiggly, relaxed, easygoing, mellow (and her parent said, “nosy” 😊 ). she is a dream dog. Her resume is sterling – house trained, she knows many commands, never pulls on the leash, and well behaved home alone. Her parent also said that Suki never cared if you took away her treats or food or toys – in fact, she would just sit and beg to try to get them back. got all COVETED 1’S ACROSS THE BOARD on her SAFER (the best you can get) and a platinum AVERAGE rating. She also was a polite greeter in doggy playgroup so would not mind having a polite and calm doggy friend as a housemate. She does have hyperthyroidism, that will need to be managed with the appropriate drugs and diet, but it’s such a small price to pay for so much love in return. If you are the type who has made a list of all the qualities you would love to have in a dog, we know that SUKI would not only tick off all your boxes, she would come to the table with so many other gifts, ones you never thought of, but will be grateful all your life for. Suki is a gem of a dog, a companion for a lifetime, and no one deserves happiness or a rescue more than her. Please consider stepping up for this sweet lady.
