The Sealer - Chandelle “Dell” Flamme

She can change her shape and size. Her color also changes as she concentrates on her work; from a pale blue to yellow to orange.

She runs out of wax after staying up all night for weeks. Her body is usually solid and has a nice scent. It easily softens and melts at heat.

Her work mostly consists of sealing poisonous substances in bottles with her wax.

Don't know if I've ever put my girl on here, but I'm heavily considering entering the tf2 oc tourney by @tf2shipswag sometime today so it's time to Meet the Rookie!

Meet Darnell, the Rookie Engineer! She's in her mid-to-late 20s & uses she/they/he as her pronouns!

As far as general info regarding them goes:

This specific Darnell works for the BLU team & works as Dell's apprentice! While under his instruction, Darnell learns the basics of engineering, such as building machinery, shooting a shotgun, & keeping a look out for spies.

Before being recruited, Darnell originally wanted to be an artist, so that helps a ton when it comes to making designs! As of now, they're better at making designs for machines rather than actually building them (though he's really trying her best!)

She is determined & committed when it comes to her job even if she is only an apprentice, though they can get a bit frazzled, clumsy, & distracted at times.

I like to think of Darnell as being on the asexual spectrum & being either trans, nonbinary, &/or genderqueer!

Darnell has a huge crush on Dell, but wants to be a good engineer for her team as well as herself, so most of her story revolves around balancing her skills as an engineer while also painfully longing for Dell, knowing well that her job comes first.

As far as general info regarding other Rookies go:

(This headcanon goes for my personal Rookie oc, but I'll put this here too just in case) The rookie was hired by the Administrator after witnessing one of their 'cleanups' from a mission. Although Miss Pauling was ready to shoot the Rookie, The Administrator decided to hire them instead, thinking that they could use them to gain insight on the other team (also cause it was a great blackmail opportunity).

Since being hired, the Rookie works hard to be a good Engineer, but always wonders why they were hired & for what reason. (funds were most likely low for Mann Co. to hire good recruits)

The Rookie wears a bandit mask to hide their identity! No one on their team knows who they are or what they look like! (The only ones who know are The Administrator & Miss Pauling ofc) The rookie may seem docile by nature, but try to take off their mask & you'll be dead where you stand.

**(Note: The Rookie class in general doesn't have to look exactly like the ref listed above! Originally, my Rookie Darnell was gonna be a self-insert [& she still kind of is!], but then slowly became her own character while still inheriting traits from me! So if you'd like to make your own Rookie oc using these concepts, feel free! [oh & plz tag me if you do, I wanna see this Rookie out in the world!!!])**

OK SO I've been wanting to draw my pokemon trainer self insert with all of her pokemon for a while but...it's just not doable LOL I decided to do a group pic for the pokemon she has for each region!

For example, these are all the Pokemon she has that were first discovered in the Johto region. Most people would start with Kanto, butttt, her first journey was through Johto, so I decided to start there.

Her outfit is based on my FIRST outfit design for her (it's not her current one). She'll have a different outfit every pic! At the end I'll try to make some kind of nice ref for her.

Petal—Meganium—♀— Calm Nature Caught in her sister’s garden in Celadon City as a Chikorita. Very mellow and prefers to go with the flow. She isn’t one for crowds and prefers opens spaces with plenty of flora. She enjoys spending time in the nearby meadow looking after the local Pokémon that live there. Petal is a great mediator and often helps settle various disputes.

Ash (Ashen)—Typhlosion—♂—Timid Nature Obtained from Prof. Elm in New Bark Town. He was supposed to be a starter for new trainers, but wasn’t suited for it due to his high anxiety. With a specialized treatment plan, his anxiety is mostly under control. He’s, overall, quite timid. He rarely interacts with others and spends most of his time sunbathing or battling whoever challenges him.

Blitz—Shiny Pichu—♂—Rash Nature The child of Dia’s Pokemon: Lightning (Raichu) and Vanilla (Alolan Raichu). Born at the same time as his cousin, Flux (Pichu). As a fairly young Pokemon, he doesn’t make the best decisions. He’s quick to start fights for fun but also quick to run when it doesn’t pan out. He wants to be a great battler like his dad someday, but hasn’t seemed to do well thus far. Special notes: Shiny palette comes from GSC.

Flux—Pichu—♀—Timid Nature The child of Dia’s Pokemon: Duskio (Umbreon) and her sister’s Pokemon: Thunder (Pikachu). Born the same time as her cousin Blitz (Pichu). As a fairly young Pokemon, she still clings closely to her parents. She’s very meek and tends to avoid most other Pokemon. However, she usually tags along with Blitz in an attempt to keep him out of trouble. She seems to have a good instinct for battling, even though she isn’t particularly interested in it. Special Notes: Spiky-Eared Pichu!

Volt (Voltaic)—Laturn—♂—Calm Nature Dia fished him out by the bay in Cherrygrove City as a Chinchou. He was happy to join her and her Pokemon. Volt enjoys sunbathing, taking relaxing swims. and naps. He's not much for activity and just tends to go with the flow. Although laid back, he's the first to rush out and help anyone in trouble. Volt's a certified Pokemon Lifeguard.

Dom (Dominic)—Espeon—♂—Hasty Nature The child of Dia’s Pokemon: Navy (Vaporeon) and Syntha (Leafeon). A prankster with little impulse control. Dom likes to drag his brother Damian (Jolteon) around on mischievous adventures; usually harmless pranks are involved. He often visits Violet City because he enjoys teasing tourists with at Sprout Tower with his wild Pokemon friends.

Duskio—Umbreon—♂—Impish Nature The first Pokemon that Dia ever caught! He had been corrupted in early Shadow Pokemon projects and released into the wild. Never fully a shadow Pokemon, Dia was able to unlock his heart and return him to normal. He’s very loyal and sees himself as a protector, especially now that he has a child: Flux (Pichu). When he’s not guarding/on patrol, he greatly enjoys playing with the younger Pokemon or spending time with his partner Thunder (Pikachu).

Dell (Dellutio)—Shiny Umbreon—♂—Bold Nature Given as a gift to Dia by her father when on a trip to Orre. Even as an Eevee, his goal was always to become as strong as possible. He’s very bold, ambitious, and stubborn. He cares deeply for his partner, Escalus (Flareon) and would do anything for him. Special Notes: Shiny palette comes from the GameCube games.

Cress (Crescent)—Teddiursa—♀—Rash Nature She originally belonged to the daughter of a berry farmer. Cress desperately wanted to leave the farm and see the world, so she ran away. Dia found her and brought her back to her original trainer, but, the daughter agreed to let Cress join Dia on her journey. Cress is a hotheaded and passionate gal. Most other Pokemon shy away from her due to her personality and she has trouble making friends. Despite this, she’s actually excellent at taking care of eggs and younger Pokemon which she does at a Violet City Daycare center along with a few of Dia’s other Pokemon.

So this is actually from my 2023 NaNoWriMo project; our protag Hadley has accidentally summoned a demon and decides to introduce it to her best friend, Beth.

Hadley rubbed the back of her neck anxiously. “No, but it’s…” She wracked her brain for something to say but there was no way to explain it without sounding like a crazy person. “Just, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” 

“Alright then. You can show her.”

“Show me– achk!” The choked off shriek that came from Beth was about what Hadley expected, although she was grateful that the girl hadn’t screamed outright.

She turned back to her roommate and held up both hands in a placating gesture. “Okay, okay, so I can sort of explain but the most important thing is that it’s not going to hurt us.” 

“Probably not.” Avorsael said. 

“Oh how is that helpful?” she demanded, watching the panic and mixed emotions play out across Beth’s face. 

“Who said I was trying to be helpful?”  

💕 What is your favorite fic that you’ve written?

Omg this one is basically impossible. I think my favorite would have to be 'Gentle Repose', since that one started out as a very short scene idea and turned out into a really sweet, fully formed fic. But it's hard to pick one favorite, even the cringey ones I posted at 12 y/o have a special place in my heart.

🦋 Which character is your favorite to write?

Really Bailey? I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count. 😂

Of course it's Ahsoka Tano.  I've always said that I basically grew up alongside the character, but looking back at my writing, I can see that the version of her in my fics "grew up" too. I'm able to convey a lot more nuance and depth of detail (I think) that was really challenging as a young writer. 

📚 Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend?

Gods, there are so many amazing writers out there and I am continually blown away by the talent and passion, people writing entire novels simply because they love it.

🔮 Any advice for writers working through burnout or writer’s block?

Write badly. Be self indulgent, be cliche, dig out your OCs from middle school that were really just thinly veiled self-inserts. Write absolute utter nonsense and then rewrite. Writing is just dragging the ideas out of your head kicking and screaming, rewriting is where the real magic happens to turn them into a story.

🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

Well if someone made fanart of any of the fics I've written for my D&D character, Maggie Marigold, I'd probably lose my mind and frame the damn thing.

I would love to see anything from 'The Forging' or specifically the scene of Ahsoka and Barriss sharing a cot in 'That joins the Sky and Earth' because I put as much sapphic energy into that as humanely possible.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE DAYCARE ATTENDANT WHEN SAW THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME (IN GAME AND IN FANDOM) AND WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU REALLY, REALLY LIKED THEM?

okokokok so basically i was avoiding fnaf like the plague bc i am terrified of animatronics and horrible with jumpscares in particular! but my best friend is a long time big time fnaf fan and so since like 2017 i was consuming fnaf content passively through them, and even since the game came out i was seeing stuff about it i just never got into it bc it wasn't super appealing

i was really invested in afton family lore n such so i got into fnaf because of that but was avoiding most animatronic content bc weee big fear (a few exceptions of animatronics though i.e. ballora) I could not figure out why i was so scared of them but I FIGURED IT OUT!! more on that later-

so fnaf sb came out n ofc I was watching playthroughs on call w/ my friend (before i played it, i played it soon after) and when sun showed up i was very much,,,, not scared of em?? i could not figure out why?? but i didn't really *focus* on them cuz i wasn't super into fnaf outside of afton family stuff

my friend kept sending me sun and moon fanart bc I did not have an upset reaction to them which was abnormal up until that point, and so i started to actively think they were neat! not super into them to the extent i came to be though- but i did figure out that the reason i have no issue with them and do have an issue with outer animatronics is because of their eyes! even moon who has "pupils" doesnt have the horrible doll-like "realistic" eyes most of the animatronics have- which is what was so unnerving about them to me. absolutely hate dolls and stuffed animals with eyes i have no idea why but one day they were just BAD and as a kidd i threw all the ones i had away and never looked back for the most part,,, but anyways sun and moon's designs were very appealing to me as i've always loved clown/jester type designs, celestial designs, pantomime-esque designs, marionette/bjd type designs (every time i draw them they have ball joints even now), etc. i also love love play structures and i've also always lowkey wanted to work in early education or in a daycare so the very environment was appealing! the designs really hit all of my interests AND were free of what was terrifying about the other animatronics

ANYWAYS i think the turning point (like it was for a lot of people in this fandom) was bamsara's work/solar lunacy! up until that point i had specifically avoided and never touched self insert fics + art, but it's so well written it changed my initial views about the whole category entirely ! because of that i was able to appreciate/consume more of the dca fandom content, which has so many talented creators! aside from that i remember being really really invested in 8um8ble8ee's dca work!

the designs being so appealing to my interests is likely one of the main reasons though aya!! jesters! bells! glow in the dark! stars! sun and moon motif! they remind me of those porcelain pierrots- one of my interests is the history of pantomime/commedia dell arte! i really don't think there's one thing about them or one moment i can remember that i was like YOOOOOOOOO!!!! it kinda just took over my brain hdsjkhsad

anyways i do remember distinctly sometime last year going wait- wtf?? because i'd thought this was a small time interest! something small i'd only taken casual interest in for a month or so, like so many other things, but then realizing i'd been making ART (not just consuming media) of them since at least december of 2021??? which is kinda insane to me!! (/pos ofc) before that time i was going through a really messy and just bad point in my life, and one of the ways I was tracking time was by the way my hair looked- i'd gotten obsessed with mykull afton after all the bad stuff and impulse cut my hair into a mullet and re-dyed it my natural colour after having bleached it brown, but this "first" drawing of sun was BEFORE my hair changed?? which i had not realized at all?? somehow in my head it was bad thing->mykull->dca but it looks like i was consuming and creating dca content through it all

anyways hsjhsjakjas i forgot what i was saying but i think i just really really liked them since i first saw em- i just didn't realize how much they had infiltrated my life until later somehow?? so ~may 2022 was when but really it was more like ~dec 2021? they make me so so happy i have no idea what it is to be honest

so ye in-game wise it was sorta on sight, fandom wise it was bc of solar lunacy + 8um8ble8ee !!

i still think its really funny that i like em so much, considering some of my biggest fears are Animatronics, Jumpscares, and The Dark BAHAHAHA

(Ch. 2) The Blue Rose (pt. 2)

Black Clover Self Insert

Ethelrid wakes up, not on a bed.

Ethelrid's eyes open, but it remains dark.

She tries to get up, but a rope around her ties her to a chair.

"Where are we?" Nina's voice. It seems she's here too, wherever they are.

"Ugh, there must be something on that dinner last night. That stupid Knight probably put it there." From the sound of it, Geniva is struggling against her confines as well.

Then a sudden warmth surrounds the 3 as a flame disintegrates the ropes. The bindings and blindfold fall in tatters, and Amore brushes them off, along with the fire magic around her arms.

"Man, who would do this? I knew that steak tasted too good."

Blindfolds off, the girls can see towering hedges surrounding them with several paths, only one leading to possible freedom.

"Are we still even in the headquarters? I swear they didn't have this maze before," Nina chimes in.

"Well, good luck to you all," Geniva says as gusts of wind surround her form. "I'm already out of here."

The winds propel her upward, scaling the towering hedges, and she suddenly exclaims as her head hits... the sky?

"Of course. A magic barrier," Nina sighs.

Geniva hits the barrier in frustration with her fist, a shimmer on the barrier appearing briefly before descending. "Whoever put us here is probably already laughing their ass off."

"Nothing a powerful spell can't fix!" Amore pipes up. She breathes in deeply, and what comes out is a dragon's roar as an inferno rises to the barrier. The barrier gives, but just a little bit, with a hint of shimmer. The spell ends, and the barrier remains solid.

The rest of the girls' jaws nearly hit the floor. Who knew this sweet-tempered, cheerful girl was capable of that?

"Good try, Amore. But I think there's only one way out of this maze," Ethelrid comments.

"Ah, puzzles... I'm not very good with those."

"Should be easy enough!" then Nina mutters under her breath, "I hope..."

"Lead the way, then. Chop chop!" Geniva claps her hands together as if in a five-star restaurant.

"Oh! Me?" Nina nervously asks, "Alright, alright. Let's... go this way."

"No, wait! Maybe... this way? Okay, okay, this way. Okay, wait, hold on."

"I don't mean to rush," Ethelrid starts, "but I think we should just pick any path and work our way out from there."

"Why don't you lead the way, then?" Geniva says.

Ethelrid turns to Nina. She sighs in relief.

"Of course, of course. You lead the way, Ethelrid."

Ethelrid nods. But with the weight of responsibility now on her, her heart picks up a bit of pace.

"Hello? Earth to Ethelriiiid," Amore pokes Ethelrid on the cheek.

Just pick one!

"This way."

They take the path straight ahead and are greeted by more towering hedges, all similar-looking.

Amore sighs loudly, "I was not expecting to be tied to a chair in the middle of the maze first thing in the morning. I'm hungry; I want breakfast!" She whines.

"Eat grass if you'd like."

"You do it, Geniva!"

"I might just take you up on that offer." Nina puts a hand on her stomach. "Breakfast is the most important meal after all."

"Be my guest," Geniva sneers. "Graze like the sheep you are."

"Wow. Wooooow. And here I thought you were just joking around."

"Oh, I am, actually. Cause you all are a bunch of jokes."

"Heidi, I swear to god, I'll send you flying back to the barrier if you don't shut up." Ethelrid grits her teeth.

"Oooh, can you really?"

Ethelrid turns around. "Do you want to find out?"

"Oh, I'm sure your parents have, all that time ago. No wonder your father-"

"Be careful what you say next." Ethelrid's hand itches for the dark mana flowing through her fingertips.

"Go ahead then. Fight me, Rosenbluth. I'm sure Captain Charlotte is itching to send you away - again."

"Enough! Both of you! We don't have time to argue in the middle of what can only be a trial by the captain. We have to work together." Nina interjects.

"Maaan. But I already passed the Entrance Exam!" Amore complains.

"You know, I have a feeling they're testing me, considering I didn't take the Entrance Exam. I'll be sure to give them a good show." Geniva scoffs and flips her hair.

"You're testing me," Ethelrid mutters under her breath.

"So!" Amore starts, "where to next, captain?"

Before Ethelrid could reply, there was a rustling among the bushes, along with the snap of sticks.

"Who's there?" Ethelrid calls out.

No response.

"It's nothing. Let's get going, shall we, captain?" Geniva's comment is pooling with sarcasm.

Ethelrid wordlessly led the team right, then another right, then to the left, all of these directions noted in Ethelrid's mind. Then there was the rustling sound again, and suddenly, all four feel an appendage wrap around their legs.

"What the-" Before Ethelrid could finish, they are all aggressively yanked upward, screaming as they are held upside down facing a monstrous plant with its gaping pink maws on its several heads, a giant Venus fly trap.

"Ugh! I haven't eaten breakfast yet, but I feel like I'm gonna vomit!" Amore exclaims.

Dark Magic: Stygian Form!

Ethelrid's body disintegrates into black sand, and she is loosened from the plant's grip.

Nina summons her grimoire from her holster as she sprouts wings of metal, shining under the sunlight.

Metal Magic: Valkyrie!

With a swipe of a wing, she cuts off the plant's appendage around her leg and flies free from its grip. She flies towards the others, slicing off their tendrils.

Geniva hovers down gracefully, but Amore freefalls and is nearing the ground till Nina swoops in and draws Amore to her chest bridal style.

Amore feigns a damsel in distress. "Oh, my hero!" Nina can only blush and chuckle in response.

"This will be quick." With her grimoire floating beside her, it shimmers, and gusts of wind surround Geniva as she prepares her spell.

Wind Magic: Scatter Arrow!

A single gust of a wind arrow shoots towards a corner, and as it hits, 3 more shoot out, repeating dozens of arrows scattering around the monstrosity with pierces and slashes. It roars in pain, but as the spell dies down, its appendages regrow and its cuts piece back together.

"Well, there's only one thing plants can't heal from!" Amore inhales deeply, almost sucking in most of the surrounding air, and lets out a roar of her own as she spews out a pillar of immense flame, encompassing the Venus fly trap's whole form.

It wails as the flame consumes its body, and in the end only ashes remain.

"Good job there, Amore." Ethelrid claps Amore by her shoulder.

"Thanks!" Amore beams.

"Hmph. I'm sure I made that dent over there." Geniva pouts.

Ethelrid looks to the ashen remains, "What dent? You mean the dent on your head when you bumped into the barrier?"

Geniva looses an arrow, and it hits nothing but black sand.

Nina sighs, "You two, seriously."

As the flames die away, behind the ashen remains of the plant, a path also ridden with flames opens up.

"Seems to be the only part of the hedge that burned off," Nina comments, "this must be the way."

"Let's go." Ethelrid marches up to the newly opened path, and the others follow.

The group continues moving this way and that, confidently striding considering they have not encountered a dead end yet.

The maze requires more from its inhabitants than navigation skills and combat.

My my, that WOULD work. Cici's a quick thinker, it seems. Although the thought of her becoming possessed is hilarious.

The mischief idea (for a fic because I need to share my insanity with others and you were the closest person here) was to have Silver (my beloved OC) and two other characters use Pecharunt's poisonous mochi to drug an entire party for the lols.

Funny you say Cici's a quick thinker, considering she's a self insert and I have the brain processing speed of a 2005 Dell laptop. 😂 Which is probably why she got herself possessed in that little scenario! Thought of the plan fast enough, but thought of the consequences too late. (I like to think that if that were really what happened, after everyone comes to their senses, Arven remembers nothing...but he does mention that, for some reason, he tastes...strawberry lemon...? Cue Cici hastily shoving her chapstick towards the bottom of her bag fjshf)

Also I feel honored that you chose me to share with! I honestly, wholeheartedly take "you just happened to be here so I'm sharing this" with a little pride. I love sharing stuff. Even if I don't understand it 100% I will still nod and give you thumbs up and tell you your ideas are great fjdgk

That being said, that does sound like some fun shenanigans 👀 I mean that's just your average house party, isn't it? Show up, do some stupid dances, eat the nefarious edibles that makes you do what the funny little purple thing tells you to, steal the charcuterie plate, get to second base in the host's bathroom. Y'know, normal party things.

Zayle:

“I should be good and help you out since I am guessing, your jeans is getting so very tight,” he whispered and kissed Dell with passion after the turned their head. His hands moved forward to grab and squeezed the male’s cock through their jeans a few times as he kissed the male. He enjoyed the kiss and he wanted more. The more he took the other’s scent the more he wanted and he was going to get the other. 

He undid the other button of their pants and zip before pushing it down and also their boxers leaving them naked from the waist down as he himself undid his own zipper after breaking the kiss and licking his lips. His eyes red as he looked into Dell for a moment before going back to kissing the male’s neck as he slowly inserted himself into them. 

“I promise next time I will get you wet and don’t worry, after I bite and mark you you will be nice and wet and produce slick,” he spoke as he slowly pushed himself into Dell and biting the male’s neck with his fangs breaking the skin. He knew this type of bite will bring so much pleasure.  ------ Dell Dell's voice got husky and he chuckled a little. His eyelashes fluttered just slightly, in the warmth of Zayle's presence. "I mean- it is 95 percent your fault. The other five percent is that I haven't actually gotten to see you naked yet-" he teased a little. "I do believe the- if you help me I'll help you rule is definitely enacted here."

Dell moved just a little, crooning into the kiss. He found himself pinned where the bar top was and his leg crooked up on a barstool. He brought his hand up, carding his fingers through the other's hair.

Dell bucked and felt Zayle exploring his hard-on. Damn, he though. I am gonna cum in these jeans. He hissed at the thought with pleasure. As though he had no self control. And maybe where Zayle was concerned, he didn't.
