It's nice to see Seiji calling on Taiyo to fulfill a mission. After evaluating him with that fake interrogation, Seiji seems to have decided that Taiyo is worth trusting with missions, to the point of giving him solo missions. Or maybe he just figured that this would be an easy mission for a beginner like Taiyo. Either way, it's great that he's decided to start putting his trust in Taiyo, even if it's for a pretty routine mission.

Love that Seiji also thinks Kyoichiro is a creep ajkdhjahkdbjak. Even Kyoichiro's friends think he's a total dirtbag.

What is going on with Seiji's eye??? It looks a huge bulging yokai eye. Looks like there's some scarring around it, and it looks like it might be fake, maybe?? Maybe it's a glass eye that he purposefully uses to scare people. All I can say is that it is DEFINITELY not normal o.O

What I like about Seiji is how straightforward he is. He sees injustice and he deals with it—through legal means if possible, but if there's a drug cartel that keeps evading the law, or a corrupt businessman who's convinced the police to turn a blind eye, well, he isn't going to wait for the official channels to magically become workable. He seems to see himself as a knight templar, someone who dirties their hands for the sake of a greater good. It's a refreshing character type compared to the other characters we've seen, including the Yozakuras themselves, who accept work indiscriminately and eschew morals in favor of whatever the client tells them to do (hell, we just had an entire mini-arc about this very topic!)

I feel like Senji's total inability to lie is a side effect of his straightforwardness. Sure, he can say things that are untrue, but his natural inclination toward bluntness means he can't say it convincingly. He's the kind of guy who prefers getting straight to the point. But like I said: who needs lying when you've got a hammer?

Gotta love a wet noodle man who has no sense of lying or deception <3 He's good with a hammer, why should he bother learning to hide his intentions?

Gotta love that the interrogation room is clearly just some crumbling backroom, complete with folding chairs and trash bags lining the sides. I'm sure realistically interrogation rooms can be dumpy like this, but I like to think it's a subtle hint that this is all a set-up—Hotokeyama didn't want this going on any official records, so he picked a random spare room and set up shop.

People say that their blorbos look like wet noodles all the time, but Hotokeyama is the first character I've ever seen that literally looks like a wet noodle. He looks like a soggy paper bag on the parking lot pavement. He looks like a piece of paper you absently shoved into your purse and then left out in the rain. He looks like Inspector Gadget's grimy older cousin. He looks like—*gunshots*
