DRABBLE GAME | MASTERLIST

You were in the kitchen of your small apartment when some commotion caught your attention. You turned around and screamed from the top of your lungs when you saw a dark figure by your open window—which was not opened by you.

“It’s just me!” An urgent, familiar voice assured.

“Oh Sehun!” You cried as you placed a hand over your racing heart. “You scared the hell out of me!”

“You should really lock your windows,” he reprimanded as he closed the one he entered from, before coming into the light of the kitchen. He was dressed like a soldier, his dark hair cut short, exposing his beautifully sculpted face.

“I live on the fourth floor,” you informed him, trying not to get too distracted by his beauty.

“Still….” He leaned against your counter that sat between you both.

You go back to the ramen you were cooking, trying to ignore the tall man behind you.

You’ve known Sehun for five years now. It was a rather long story, but you had gotten yourself tied up in some scary illegal government stuff, and he had helped you out of it. Helped you get back to normality.

Unfortunately, normal was a word he never could get used to himself. He was a soldier, a defender for both this world, and one he no longer inhabited, apparently. It was all very inconceivable. All you truly understood was that he ended up stuck on Earth fighting some evil force, and he and his other friends may or may not have superpowers.

Yeah, very inconceivable.

“Ramen?” You asked.

“Yeah,” he was quick to agree. You put the pot on the counter, handing him some chopsticks. He didn’t waste any time digging in.

“You’re dressed for war,” you mentioned, noting the camo outfit and boots.

He scratched his head. “Suho found a lead. We’re heading out to investigate in the morning.”

“Oh….”

“You scared for me?” He questioned with a smirk, teasing you.

You rolled your eyes. “I should know by now that you don’t need the concern. But…. I feel like somebody needs to. You guys are always putting yourself in danger. Whenever you leave, I always wonder if….”

You were revealing too much, getting to emotional. He caught onto that, and gently asked you to continue.

You inhaled some courage. “I wonder if it’s going to be the last time I’ll ever see you.”

His eyes took you in. You watched as they bounced around, locking with every point of your face.

“You have nothing to worry about,” he finally answered. Not going to lie, you felt disappointment from his reply. “It’s our job. Why we were created.”

“But you have lost people,” you reminded him, thinking about the Luhan fellow he brought up occasionally. The best friend that wasn’t able to escape the hell they endured when they first landed onto this planet. “You are capable of dying, you know?”

“We’re stronger now. And we’re always careful, we know what we’re doing.”

“I know,” you said, dropping your gaze to the little bit of broth left in the pot. You shook your head. “Never mind. Pretend I never mentioned it.”

He went back to quietly observing you. This was what your relationship mostly consisted of. He would pop in out of nowhere and watch you, as though he was trying to understand how humans worked.

He pursed his lips and walked around the counter to stand before you. As if he weren’t completely sure what he was doing, he slowly lifted his glove-covered hands to your face, pulling it up so that you were looking at him. Your breath got caught in your throat at the contact, he’d never touched you before, not like this. It was…intimate.

“Thank you for your concern,” he said. “It makes me feel good, knowing someone cares if I’m dead or alive.”

“Is that why you always come back?” You questioned, sounding a bit more bitter than intended.

He grinned down at you. “You’re my person. You’ll always be the one I go to.”

Your eyes widened from his confession. His person. It was the most romantic thing he’d ever said, but you weren’t sure if that’s what he meant it as or not. Maybe you were reading too much into it. His eyes glimmered with something though, something that led you to believe he was indeed being romantic, in his own little way.

You smiled up at him. “You’re sure it’s not just because you saved me all those years ago?”

“I’ve saved a lot of people,” he told you. “But I don’t check up on them.”

“Just me?” You breathed.

He nodded.

“Okay.” You blushed and glanced away, growing shy. “Well, before you go, I should give you something. As a thank you for saving my life.”

“You don’t owe me anything for that,” he declined.

“All the same.”

You stood up on your tip toes to press your lips against his. It was quick. He didn’t even have time to react before you were falling back to your feet. When you pulled away, he leaned down, returning the gesture. You share a few more kisses, his arms going around your waist, yours to his covered forearms.

When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours. “I’ll need that again, I think.”

You giggled. “Whenever you’re back from your mission, I’ll gladly give you however many more you want.”

He hummed and gave into the urge to kiss you again, this one lingering. Once you slowly broke it, he left you—out the door this time.

You stood in that kitchen, shaking and praying that he would return unscathed.

Always You (Chanyeol x Reader// Baekhyun x Reader) One

Summary: She never intended to fall in love with her best friend knowing that doing so will hurt what they already have. But what she never wanted was to hurt them both in expense of her feelings (to edit if i think of a better summary than this crap)

It was late at night and the only sound was the screeching of vehicle from the movie playing in the TV. Y/N watched eagerly, completely engrossed in the movie. She sat on the couch in between Chanyeol and Baekhyun who she hadn’t turned to nor paid any attention for the last hour. That was until she felt Chanyeol lay his head on her lap.

“Umh, Chanyeol? What are you doing?” Y/N asked, surprised at his actions.

“Umh, sleeping? What do you think it is?” Chanyeol replied, opening his eyes, making eye contact with Y/N. They stared at each other for a while, Y/N feeling a weird feeling that she couldn’t understand. Y/N blinked down at Chanyeol when he suddenly flashed her a grin.

Y/N got taken aback and threw her pillow down at his face. Baekhyun let out a laugh and Y/N turned to him, giving a confused look.

“What the-!” Chanyeol exclaimed, throwing the pillow away from his face. He gave Y/N a playful glare before shutting his eyes close. Y/N stared at him, her stomach doing somersaults. The longer she stared at him, the faster the butterflies in her stomach erupted. She felt herself unable to look away from him, her eyes scanning every nook of his face.

Y/N gulped, unconsciously bringing her hand to his hair, playing with it as he slowly snoozed off to sleep. Despite sleeping, his lips still remained its grin and Y/N felt her heart squeeze at the sight of him. She had completely forgotten about the movie and all she could focus on was Chanyeol’s sleeping face.

‘Was he always this attractive?’ Y/N thought to herself as she continued on playing with his hair. Her cheeks start to redden and a smile slowly etched on her face. Something about Chanyeol made her feel weird in a good way. It was a feeling she had felt about from other boys, just never with Chanyeol. And now that he suddenly had this effect on her made her flustered, still denying whatever it was she was feeling.

Y/N turned to look at Baekhyun to notice that he too, was not watching the movie anymore but the scene of his best friends being a little too intimate in front of him. Baekhyun searched her eyes, his face inscrutable. Y/N grinned at him, her cheeks pink and Baekhyun felt his stomach drop. He couldn’t believe it, but he was sure of it. Y/N liked Chanyeol, but he was not so sure about the latter. Baekhyun can’t help but feel terrible. Something about it just didn’t sit right with him, he just don’t know what is so wrong with it.

“Y/N…” Baekhyun trailed off. Y/N looked away from him and led her eyes back to Chanyeol. A strand of hair fell on her face, slightly blocking her view. She gulped again, stopping herself from playing with Chanyeol’s hair any longer.

“Baekhyun-ah, help me get him to his room” Baekhyun stood up with no protest and took Chanyeol away from Y/N, slinging Chanyeol’s arm on his neck. Y/N did the same with the other and together, they led the heavy tall boy back to his room.

Once he was tucked in on his bed, Y/N sat beside Chanyeol’s sleeping figure while Baekhyun remained standing, watching Y/N. Y/N stared at Chanyeol, the butterflies in her stomach still going on strong. After a few seconds, Y/N stood up and left the room without a word. Baekhyun glanced back at Chanyeol before following Y/N. That night was never spoken of ever again.

Y/N was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard her name called out by her groupmate. Saying a quick sorry, Y/N focused back on helping her groupmates solve one of the given problems given by their calculus teacher.

When finished, her thoughts went back to Chanyeol’s 17th birthday which was the night Y/N realized her feelings for him. That night was already months ago and they had already became 12th graders. Y/N suddenly realized that she had been liking the boy for quite a while now, her eyes unconsiously drifting to Chanyeol who’s talking to his groupmate, laughing about whatever they were talking about.

Y/N watched as Chanyeol laughed hysterically, smiling to herself knowing that the boy have the tendency to laugh at everything with his over the top actions. Her trance was once again broken when she felt someone lighlty smack her on the head.

Y/N looked up to see Baekhyun shaking his head disapprovingly at her “What?” Y/N asked, frowning at Baekhyun.

“He might as well melt by the way you’re looking at him” Y/N blushed at Baekhyun’s word, swatting his hand away from her. Baekhyun knew about her feelings towards their best friend, having asked her right away that night Y/N realized she like Chanyeol. Baekhyun wasted no time and Y/N was slightly glad that at least someone knew about her feelings. Because if no one knew at all, she felt like she would’ve exploded.

Baekhyun grabbed the seat next to her and sat down, placing his arm on her shoulder and whispered “Why won’t you just tell him?”

Y/N scoffed at his words and replied “It’s not that easy and besides, he doesn’t like me that way”

“How are you so sure he doesn’t?” Baekhyun prodded. Y/N gave Baekhyun a look “Because he’s my best friend. I don’t want to do anything that would ruin that”

It was sad but it was the truth. Y/N and Baekhyun looked at each other, Y/N giving him a look that pleaded with him to understand while Baekhyun scanned her eyes. He knew and very much understood. It’s just that it was painful for him to see her look at Chanyeol with so much adoration yet wallow herself in pain of Chanyeol never knowing how she truly felt in fear of breaking their already strong friendship.

Baekhyun longed for the old days where there was no drama, only the three of them being the good best friends they are. But it wasn’t like that anymore because of feelings that somehow grew in their group that threatened their friendship.

It wasn’t like everything is different. The three of them are still best friends and are still the way they are before. If anyone saw them, they would not notice anything out of the ordinary because everything was still the same. But at the same time, their relationship was already strained, though only two of them noticed that strain as Chanyeol was completely left out on the dark.

Their calculus class ended and it was already lunch time. Baekhyun dragged Y/N and Chanyeol to the canteen and then to their usual spot under the tree. Chanyeol chatted away a story that happened to him that morning as Y/N ate her food and Baekhyun respond whenever a funny moment was told.

“Hey hey, you two free this Saturday?” Chanyeol asked, his voice excited and his eyes wide in anticipation.

“Yeah, why?” Y/N asked, gathering their trash and putting it inside a plastic so that it wasn’t messy.

“You guys remember Mi Soo?” Y/N stopped in her actions, her eyes wide as she turned to look at Chanyeol. Mi Soo was Chanyeol’s crush since 9th grade. Baekhyun and Y/N had supported him back then and even rooted for him when he decided to confess. But unfortunately, he was rejected as Mi Soo had a boyfriend back then. Chanyeol promised that he would forget her and she was never mentioned again since then.

Baekhyun mirrored Y/N’s face. He looked at Y/N and gulped, worried as to what Chanyeol had to say.

“H-Han Mi Soo?” Y/N stuttered and Baekhyun cursed profanities in his head, giving Chanyeol a slight glare.

“What about her?” Baekhyun asked. Chanyeol gave his attention to Baekhyun, his eyes glistening in glee.

“You see, remember when I got detention last week? Mi Soo was there too! At first, I didn’t pay any attention to her but we got to sit next to each other and began chatting about this and that and we became friends” Chanyeol explained, almost laughing at how happy he was.

“And?” Y/N asked, Chanyeol turning to her to finish his story

“We began to chat everyday. I didn’t tell you guys at first because I knew you would be against it and I did only want to be friends with her. But, my feelings was slowly starting to go back and well, I asked her out! And this time, she said yes!” Chanyeol looked as if he wanted to jump around, his wide grin reaching up to his eyes.

Y/N stared blankly at Chanyeol, unable to react. Chanyeol noticed this and got confused, waving his hand in front of her face “Y/N? You alright?”

“You-!” Baekhyun started but caught his tongue. This got Chanyeol’s attention and was opening his mouth to speak but Baekyun continued “-should have told us!”

“I know, I’m sorry” Chanyeol apologized, regretting that he should’ve told them sooner. Baekhyun looked worriedly at Y/N who had her head down, refusing to look up and meet Chanyeol’s eyes.

“But anyway, Mi Soo and I are going to the amusement park on Saturday and I want you guys to properly meet her!” Chanyeol beamed. Baekhyun opened his mouth to refuse for the two of them but Y/N beat him to it and said

“Sure, we’d love to meet her” Y/N held a fake smile that made Baekhyun shiver. Her expression all over blared alarms in Baekhyun’s head, as if a warning that Y/N was planning something, something not very nice.

After dismissal, Baekhyun dragged Y/N to the library and went to the most secluded section. Stopping, Baekhyun looked around if anyone was around to hear them. After he was satisfied that no one would hear them, he held Y/N in the shoulders and looked at her intensely “Why’d you say yes?”

Y/N looked at him, as if innocent, and replied “Because he’s our friend. And he want us to meet his almost or maybe already girlfriend” Her voice turning bitter as she said the last few words.

“Are you insane? Or are you maybe a masochist? Y/N, what the hell?” Y/N chuckled at him, removing his hands on her shoulder. She put a hand on his shoulder and said

“Don’t worry, Baekhyun-ah. I won’t do anything rash” His eyes told her he didn’t trust her yet and so she continued

“Baekhyun, I said yes because if we didn’t go, it would be only them and that would be a date! And if we’re there, they wouldn’t do much and if they would, we would be there to stop them” Y/N said almost enthusiastically.

“That’s wrong Y/N” Baekhyun told her, his voice pleading. Y/N gave him a small smile “I won’t do anything wrong, Baekhyun. You’re there too. I trust that you won’t let me do anything stupid”

“I won’t always be there Y/N” Silence followed after Baekhyun said this. After a few minutes of just standing there, Y/N nodded, pulling him with her as she started to walk away “Come on, I’m sure Chanyeol’s panicking right now, looking for us” She said with a slight chuckle.

They went back to the classroom where Chanyeol sat alone with their bags. Y/N grabbed hers and Baekhyun’s to give him his. And together, they went out and went home. Walking together as they always had.

19. In complicated narratives how do i keep track of outlines, characters, development etc

OKAY I WANNA TELL U THIS.. like idk maybe try this.. for my series.. i lowkey have a notepad filled with plots and all the story lines and the characters! I have a page dedicated for the characters development then one page of setting time and outline.. another page of dresses and omg yes i drew it so bad but just for the sake of explaining it.. and then i have the crest (coz its royalty) and i have one page for each chapter!! I write down the quotes I want to use.. specific words or sentences for characters.. i couldn't show u the pic coz it was super messy it's reallly me jotting down all the ideas when they're in my head. I left the notebook in my home country sorry can't show u that.. but basically write everything down.. later u can see which part u wanna cross out. I did this and yet i still end up with writer' block lmao but i am quite proud of this...it works for me so maybe try it! (I still do this on my earlier writing projects.. but oneshot.. i don't do this hahaha)

4. Fav character I've written.. tbh it's my OC Scarlet and (y/n)!! No jokes (y/n) is the only one with diff personalities lol! Okay i love to write Baekhyun (i think i can suit him in any role) , Yuta, and Renjun (because i cannot write for kyungsoo.. renjun is similar) sometimes Jaehyun is fun to write too.

5. I answered this.. i am surprised i wrote a fanfic starring Jisung and Kun! Like wow i could never do that again (or could i?)

6. Something i'd go back to change but too late coz its too complicated in my story now.. hmm definitely my series in wattpad.. ahh too much to change i couldn't even decide if i should delete everything or several scenes... Silver spoon.. i should've deleted Luhan.. no forced marriage.. just banned love for loving sehun (their knight) and i should've deleted the kidnapping part in Daughter of silence 😅

He gets super worried as he ushers you to come closer to him, he then asks why you were crying when you told him that you have a nightmare of him leaving you, he suddenly kisses your forehead, “Sweetheart, remember that it’s just a dream, I would never leave you,”

He would pull you closer to him, wrapping his arms around yours waist as you rest your head at his chest, sobbing. “Baby shhh, there’s is nothing to be scared of, okay?”

“Honey, what’s wrong?” He could see your eyes, bloodshot red as tears roll down to your face, he then quickly gets a glass of water and gives it to you so you could calm down.

He would talk to you nonstop just to make you smile, he then smiles widely at you, “It’s good to see you smile,” he reassures you as he caresses your cheek.

His hand would make it’s way to your eyes, wiping the tears away, his hands then went to your lips, tracing it as he softly spoke, “I love you Y/n, don’t cry or else I’ll also cry.”

Tao would make jokes, even if they were really bad until he hears a giggle from you, he chuckles will do aegyo to you just like Xiumin so that he could hear you laugh instead of crying.

Kai/Kim Jongin

He knows that you were a fragile person, so he buys a lot of plushies or stuff toys for you beforehand so you would snuggle at the toys every night, preventing yourself from crying.

apparently, Yixing and Luhan are the nicest so you’ll bond with them the quickest

they’d be the least chaotic members, so you were advised to stay close to them lol

so this all sounds super cute and you are ecstatic to meeting them

and then the time comes for you to meet them

at first, the meeting is just………. kind of odd to you

because it’s at the exo house……………….

and just as you’re at the acceptance stage like

the house comes into view and y’all enter

Kyungsoo made dinner

they planned a game night

it was so much fun—you could really tell these boys were like family

and for a second you forget that you are isolated in the woods with 12 rowdy boys

and that this is not normal……. at least, not for humans

unless they’re some frat boy that can’t get over the fact that they peaked in college

anyways

after this meeting, it was more and more common for you to join those group meetings

you’ve met the others’ partners too—well, at least those who have them

despite you getting along with all of Chanyeol’s friends, which is great

there’s still something a bit off

and the thing is 

is that Chanyeol knows you don’t know that they’re wolves

so he made sure to tell the boys that 

one, you’re human 

and two, you don’t know that they’re wolves so they need to keep it lowkey 

but.......... exo is anything but lowkey and this was something you kind of picked up on 

not just with all of them being in an isolated mansion-like house

the main thing with the boys is that they let it slip that they own the land here

but what do they do as jobs to have the house?

and sure, Suho is like a mother hen, but like they also kind of do like a reporting thing

like………… some kind of boss…………..

and yeah, Yifan is the father figure……. but there’s some type of hierarchy thing that Yifan is “reporting” to Suho too……

it’s all really weird

and you can’t tell if it’s a bro culture thing or something, so you don’t really say or ask anything

and yeah, Chanyeol thinks he’s slick 

he is not bc 

there’s also a couple of things about Chanyeol that’s kind of off to you 

like he’s weird, but then there are some things that are just………. Weird

for example, he’s very affectionate, right?

but like, he seems to hold himself back for you

yeah, skinship is a thing for you both 

but 

let’s just say second base seems to be the farthest you’re going, even tho you���ve made it every clear you are willing to go all around and do a home run twice

there’s also another thing, which is fine, but like

weird

he really likes tummy rubs

and you’re just kind of like

and like sometimes, when he feels like it, he’ll eat really really rare meat

he doesn’t eat it in front of you but sometimes when you buy raw meat

goes missing

it’s just really weird

and then one day

you were at the exo house

at this point, you two have been together for about a year (?) now 

and you were chilling in woods with Chanyeol

he looks super super serious

Chanyeol: “I have something I need to tell you and I don’t know how you’re going to handle it”

You: “um, okay, sure—what is it?”

Chanyeol: “I am a werewolf”

You:

You: bitch what

You: “are we going that thing where we just talk in vines bc you’re not making any sense and you’re doing it wrong”

Chanyeol: “no, I’m serious”

you…… just laugh

like uncontrollably

because this is the most ridiculous thing you’ve heard

Chanyeol’s just kind of…… watching you lose it

in retrospect, maybe he should have thought this through

after you finish laughing, you wipe a couple of tears from your eyes

You: “phew, Channie, that’s pretty fucking funny”

Chanyeol: “(Y/N), I’m not kidding—I’m a werewolf”

then, what he says………………… sinks in

and now it’s your turn to look at him like he’s lost it

You: it’s not too late, maybe I can take him to a therapist

You: “um, Chanyeol, you know this prank isn’t very funny”

Chanyeol: “don’t say that, I can prove it”

You: oh no

he steps back and takes off his shirt

(to which you snap a mental image)

he climbs onto a higher rock, where he towers over you

You: “hey, Chanyeol.. you might, uh, wanna get off that”

Chanyeol: “I got this”

You: he’s gonna die

and then he jumps off

there’s a flash of light and he transforms, landing on the ground on all four paws

all you saw was a giant wolf that’s at least twice your size

you could only stare

you tried not to move

that’s not very hard considering how frozen you were

for a second, you think you’ve gone insane

but it’s there in front of you

the wolf moves closer to you, slowly and carefully

when it gets close enough, it bows his head to you in submission

and when it opens its eyes

you see the familiar, warm, brown eyes that sparkle at you

the gold specks in them shine a bit more

I want to say that you were able to accept it real quickly

but you don’t

it’s kind of a shock……

so you take a little break from all of this

while Chanyeol understands, it doesn’t mean he’s not upset

his other half is apart from him and he feels like his heart’s slowly being ripped out of his chest

it’s not that you had a problem with it

it was the process

yeah, he lied but like

it’s bc he’s a supernatural being

(that you can empathize with)

but that means other beings probably exist

what if that one waiter was a vampire who could have eaten you

or that one swimmer was a mermaid

this is just a collision of so many worlds

at this point, you were just trying to understand what actually happened

time passes and you don’t even know how much has

until Suho and Yifan end up at your apartment door

they both came with like a fruit basket or something (in their defense, they didn’t know what you would like)

Suho: “hi~ can we come in?”

Yifan: “we just wanted to talk and check-in”

they end up at your place for hours

they really did come to check in with you and see how you were handling the whole thing

and took the time to explain how things worked for them

(the impact of full moons, the concept of soulmates, imprinting….. the whole package)

and they answer any questions you have had

they really were super sweet about the whole thing

and eventually, you ask about Chanyeol

You: “is… is he okay?”

Yifan: “he’s been acting like a kicked puppy since you left—oW”

Suho rolls his eyes at Yifan, not apologizing for hitting him

Suho: “yes, he’s upset, but he’s more concerned about you and where this relationship is supposed to go now?”

Yifan: “we’re not rushing you or anything, but he…. he’ll need an answer eventually”

Suho: “just think about and sort out your emotions, and when you’re ready…. you’re welcome anytime at the exo house”

it was real eye opening for you

when they left, they also left their numbers for you

Suho: “call anytime, a mate of an exo member is a member of ours”

later that night, while you in bed, you thought about it

you should really talk to Chanyeol, he deserves an answer

but, it wasn’t until another couple of days pass that you actually talk to him

it’s a rainy day and you were sitting on your couch, watching tv and eating cereal

all of a sudden, the sadness hits you

and you really miss him

and you really wanted to see him

so you do

you grab a pair of shoes and your keys—immediately heading out

you drive through the rain, thinking about what you were even going to do or say

next thing you knew, you were at the exo house’s door

you really should have thought things through, but

you didn’t really know what else to do

you knock on it, hoping that Chanyeol was there

Tao and Sehun open the door, seeing you standing there—soaking wet from the rain, in your sweatpants and with mismatched shoes

You: “uh, hi guys”

Suho pushes in between them and sees you there

Suho: “oh my god, (Y/N), come in, come in”

they get you in

Kyungsoo gets you some green tea

Yixing gets blankets for you

Luhan picks out some warm clothes for you

and Minseok dries your other clothes

the other boys and their mates keep you entertained for a bit

amidst the chaos, Jongin rests a hand on your shoulder

Jongin: “Chanyeol went out for a run, you can wait in his room if you want”

when you find a chance, you do—you go up the familiar stairs and hallway

and you just

wait

there’s a bit of a lull of silence and then you hear his voice

Chanyeol: “(Y/N) is WHAT?”

you can hear him running up the stairs and before you can say anything

he tackles you onto the bed

You: “CHANYEOL WE TALKED ABOUT THE TACKLING”

Chanyeol: “I’m sorry, I got excited” :(

you and Chanyeol settle on the bed and just………. talk

you get things sorted out and it’s great

after you figure out things, everything’s kind of back to normal (as much as it could be)

you lowkey kind of live in the exo house now

like your things are in Chanyeol’s room

anyways

werewolf!Chanyeol is a lot more fun than people would think

he’s a lot more relaxed about things

now he’s most likely to be lounging around in his half form, with the whole ears and tail thing

you give him a lot more tummy rubs

you scratch his ears too

the whole dog package

I mean wolf

you actually came to one of the full moon nights and it was super fun

Chanyeol spent the whole night right next to you

he’s also a lot more openly affectionate

I mean the whole package: hand-holding, lap-sitting, public cuddling

he knows no boundaries

he is super careful about his strength tho—always checking in with you and making sure you’re feeling safe and comfortable

and it’s safe to say that y’all are way past second base

I’m not saying anything else for the kiddos

other than the whole full moon transformation thing

there’s no real difference between the boy that tackled you and the wolf that you’re with now

and you can’t wait to spend the rest of your life with him as his mate

       "Ugh, this is so boring." Kris whined from his seat on the couch, pulling one headphone out of his ear.

       "No, it's not!" Suho said, shoving him lightly on the arm. "You're doing really well, I know we'll have a hit soon. You're the best musician I've ever met."

       "Says you." The man laughed in return.

       "Let's not forget, I'm sitting right here." Lay joked from his seat on the carpet. Everyone was gathered in the studio for one of their usual practice sessions. Honestly, they hardly ever did much practicing. They mostly wrote their own music, or messed around singing stupid songs on the equipment. They sat and talked, fantasizing about the day they would make it big.

       "Do you guys ever feel like something's missing?" Kai asked, looking up at the crappy popcorn ceiling showing through the cracks of the foam they'd put up.

       "Yeah, your brain cells." Chen snickered.

       "Shut up! I mean with the group. I don't know..."

       "You're overthinking it." Sehun sighed. "You don't have to be so philosophical all the time."

       "Maybe you're hungry." Luhan suggested.

       "That's always you." Kyungsoo reminded him.

       "No way, it's you!"

       "Should we actually play something today?" Chanyeol asked, looking them over. "I've heard that we might get to play at a few of those open air restaurants we applied to a few months ago once summer hits, it could be good to refresh our set, you know?"

       "Ah, my arm hurts." Xiumin complained. "I don't want to."

       "We're never gonna get any better with that attitude!" Suho chastised him, before noticing a buzzing from underneath him. "Oh, hold on," Pulling it out, he saw that it was indeed his phone ringing.

       "Who's it from?" Tao asked, head tilting.

       "Secret girlfriend?" Baekhyun suggested, wiggling his eyebrows and earning laughs from several of the other boys.

       "Shh!" Suho said as he went to hit the button. "I don't know, so behave!" Taking a few steps into an empty portion of the room, he held the phone to his ear, covering the other with his hand. "Hello?.... Yes, this is him." They all waited in anticipation. After a few hums of understanding, they heard him say, "Oh, you already have my email? Just send it there then. Yes? Yes. Of course, thank you." He pulled the device away from his face, clicking to make sure it was off and sliding it back into his pocket. He turned around, faced with 11 staring men.

       "So?" Chen asked. "Who was it?"

       "You're not gonna believe me." Suho laughed, looking over them.

       "Stop messing around!" Lay complained. "Who was it!"

       "It could have been my mother for all you-"

       "Suho!" Baekhyun shouted. "It sounded important!"

       "It was an agent from SM Entertainment." He said, smiling softly.

       "Woah, like... the SM Entertainment? Who does all the groups and stuff?" Sehun asked with wide eyes.

       "No, the other one." Xiumin rolled his eyes, hitting him lightly on the back of the head.

       "And what did they say?" Kyungsoo pressed, looking for any signs of the call in the man's face.

       "They... want us to come talk to them. All of us. About signing a contract. As a boy group." Suho finished. There was a moment of silence, before the room broke out into cheers.

       "We're gonna be a real band!" Baekhyun shouted, trying (and failing) to pick up Kris in joy.

       "It's like a wish come true!" Kai agreed, smiling much wider than he normally did, none of them concerned with looking cool.

       Y/N watched from the side of the room. She knew they couldn't see her. It wasn't her first time seeing one of them in passing. She'd seen Kai's wife, although she didn't really approve. She saw Kris move on to create music on his own, something she'd always known he'd be good at. She saw Sehun fall in his own bedroom once, that was funny. She even saw them as kids, experiencing moments that she had been there for... Except she wasn't there anymore. It was clear that they didn't remember her. She'd even seen this moment a few times before. She knew that the man from before had placed them in her path on purpose, although she wasn't sure how. His identity still remained a mystery to her.

       She wasn't sure how long she'd been stuck flitting about, and she knew it wasn't going to end anytime soon. When one is immortal, though, the years seem shorter and shorter in passing. Until time collapsed in on itself, somehow, she'd be there. And even then, she wasn't sure if she'd persist. Although, maybe she'd get to meet the man again. She was beginning to realize how he'd felt... bored. She tried to find entertainment in passing, in watching others, but it all went by so fast, it wasn't worth getting invested. Things were born, and then they died. She was abnormal in that regard. To come from nothing and then also not return to nothing felt unnatural. Maybe she would be nothing one day. But for now, she was content to see the smiles on their faces.

       She wanted to reach out and touch them, to let them know that she was there, that she still loved them, but in the blink of an eye, they were gone, and she was in a fourteenth century style French palace, a purple robed man in place of her friends. Sighing, she leaned back. It wasn't unusual. Still, she'd see them again. She just hoped they weren't having too much fun without her.
