Sorry for the format, Anon, but for some reason your ask arrived in my inbox in 150 point text and it was so obnoxious I had to do this instead.

The whole Sehun thing is frequently very overblown and overstated by fans, and frankly I've always found it a bit annoying.

It comes from GG's social media history, where he was seen posting about being an EXO fan as early as 2012 when they debuted. He also followed Sehun on social media. I don't think there's even any evidence he's ever said anything specifically about Sehun, it seems to just be a conclusion fans have drawn.

There are a lot of turtles who seem to think DD looks a lot like Sehun, and somehow they eat the idea of GG being a Sehun fan as some kind of candy, which I find odd. It really doesn't make sense to me. They're basically saying that DD is a substitute for Sehun, and that's supposed to be a romantic idea? 🤔

It's true that early Sehun, circa 2014, looks a lot like White Peony DD in some photos, and I think some turtles imagine GG drooling over Sehun and then falling for the White Peony, but I don't personally find that an appealing theory. I doubt very much that DD would like that theory either. 😅

The whole Sehun thing used to be a much bigger deal in the fandom, but has sort of fallen off over the past few years. I hope it's not about to make a comeback. GG loves DD because he's DD, not because he looks like a Korean idol he once followed.

A Christmas to Remember

Christmas Day had finally arrived, the day you'd been eagerly waiting for all year. It was your favorite holiday, and the excitement bubbled inside you as you jumped out of bed, quickly ate breakfast, and showered. You couldn't wait to see what this Christmas would bring.

You picked out a cozy, light grey knitted sweater dress, paired it with black leggings, and slipped on your favorite pair of black flats with white polka dots— a gift from last year. As you got dressed, your phone chimed with a new message. A smile tugged at your lips as you read it and quickly typed a reply, almost breaking a record for fastest texter.

Setting your phone down, you turned on some Christmas music. The sweet melody of EXO's "Christmas Day" filled the room as you hummed along, hurriedly finishing up. By the time you were ready, you turned off the music, stuffed your phone into your pocket, grabbed your jacket, wrapped a long white scarf around your neck, and rushed out the door, feeling the excitement grow.

The world outside greeted you with a magical sight— freshly fallen snow glittering in the sunlight. "It must have snowed last night," you thought, locking the front door and heading to your car. As you climbed in, you smiled at the sight of couples heading to their gatherings, all cheerful and festive. You silently prayed for everyone's safety as you drove, singing along to the Christmas music on the radio.

Arriving at the back of an apartment building, you parked your car and grabbed your purse and two gift bags. As you stepped out, eleven familiar faces appeared in front of you, all rushing your way. "Merry Christmas, guys!" you called with a grin.

"Merry Christmas!" they all chimed in unison as they followed you inside.

"You didn't take long," Suho said, locking the door behind them.

"Well, I was excited to see my favorite people," you replied, setting down your things in the cozy living room.

The apartment was decorated beautifully with Christmas lights, festive figurines, and a wreath on the door. The staircase sparkled with garlands, and a six-foot tree stood in the corner, its ornaments twinkling under soft white lights. You added your gifts to the already overflowing pile beneath it. On the coffee table, mugs were ready to be filled with hot cocoa, eggnog, warm apple cider, and plates of cookies and treats.

You closed your eyes for a moment, savoring the cozy atmosphere—the crackling fire, the delicious scents wafting from the kitchen, and the gentle sound of classic Christmas music playing in the background. This place truly felt like home.

Suddenly, the sounds of laughter filled the room as the guys piled in. You'd known EXO for almost three years now after a chance encounter during Christmas shopping. That day had changed everything, leading to an unbreakable friendship with the group—and a romance with one of its members, Jongin. The two of you had been inseparable ever since.

Every year, you spent Christmas with the guys, and it had become a cherished tradition. The festivities, the warmth of their company, and the joy of being together made this time of year extra special.

"Blondie, can you help us pour the drinks?" Sehun asked, setting down a tray of beverages.

"Sure, who wants what?" you asked, grabbing a mug. Each year, the guys seemed to pick something different, except for Jongin. He always chose the same drink.

After serving everyone, you prepared the hot cocoa for you and Jongin. You added crushed candy canes, whipped cream, and a sprinkle of cinnamon to the mugs. As you set them down, you looked around.

"Where's Jongin?" you asked, noticing he was missing.

The guys smiled knowingly. "He went out to grab a couple of things. He should be back any minute," they assured you.

Right on cue, the front door creaked open, and you started to rush toward it. But before you could take a step, Xiumin grabbed your arm, stopping you.

"Not yet," he said with a teasing smile.

The guys led you to the center of the living room, stopping when they were satisfied. "Now close your eyes and promise not to peek," Luhan instructed.

"You wouldn't really blindfold me, would you?" you teased, half-smiling.

Lay held up a bandana. "Yes, we would."

"Okay, okay. I promise I won't peek!" you said, closing your eyes tightly and covering them with your hands.

The guys whispered and shuffled around you, their movements too quiet to make sense of. After what felt like an eternity, they told you to open your eyes.

You blinked, letting your eyes adjust to the light, and then gasped in surprise.

Jongin stood before you, smiling, with his body forming a heart shape. He was wearing a red ribbon tied around his neck like a bow, a snug black sweater, and black jeans.

"Merry Christmas, Blondie!" he said, his deep voice making your heart flutter.

You giggled in surprise. "Jongin, what are you doing?"

"I'm giving you your present... me!" he replied, gently holding your hands in his warm, familiar grasp.

Your heart melted. "This is the best Christmas present ever."

"But that's not all." Jongin's voice was playful, and you tilted your head in confusion as he reached into his back pocket.

He pulled out a small rectangular white box tied with a light blue ribbon and handed it to you.

"What's this?" you asked, looking up at him.

"Open it," he said with a grin.

You carefully untied the ribbon and opened the box, revealing a silver ring with a tiny key hanging from it. Your eyes widened. "What is this?"

Jongin chuckled. "It's a key. A key to this apartment. Blondie, I want you to move in with me. Will you?"

The room seemed to go silent as the weight of his words settled over you. The guys were watching eagerly, but you could hardly believe what you'd just heard. Did he really just ask you to move in with him?

You took a moment, collecting your thoughts, before placing the key back in the box. You looked up at him, and in that moment, you knew the answer.

"Jongin, yes! I'll gladly move in with you."

His smile lit up the room as he gently picked you up and spun you around, then pulled you into a tight hug. The guys cheered and clapped around you.

"This is the best Christmas ever. Right next to the Christmas I first met you," he whispered, hugging you even tighter.

You returned the hug, feeling at home in his arms, and joined the others as they began to open presents, drink their mugs, and nibble on the snacks.

As you sat down with Jongin, passing out gifts and sharing laughter, you realized how truly blessed you were. Surrounded by the family you loved, in the place that felt like home, this was a Christmas you would never forget. It truly was magical.

I came, I saw, I tried to rock hard during Trigger the Fever and I stepped on somebody's feet (I'm so sorry T_T).

The boys were cooooool, Jaemin was his cute self, Heachan was THROWING LOOKS, Renjun tried to say something in German and failed miserably, Jisung said "sorry for making you wait in such a cold weather" or something, Mark was like "yoooo wassup Berlin, put your hands up!", Chenle was like "SAY MY NAME!" and we tried but half the crowd said "Chenle" and the other half said "Zhong Chenle" so he was like "O_o???? I said SAY MY NAME!" jhfkdjk I don't know what Jeno was doing but HE WAS DOING IT.

During the Candy encore, Renjun DID THAT THING on the ground, and then I think Mark joined him too. The crowd exploded. Also during My first and my last they DID THAT THING too and it was super cool.

the idea seems to be a favorited way to people’s hearts, not that sehun is complaining — even he would be bribed successfully into doing absolutely, almost anything should things be offered to him for free. as long as it doesn’t come out of his pockets, he can run with it. but in some cases, like sori’s, he’s the one that has to do the baiting. and it worked quite well, if he could say so himself. sehun bought a bit of everything from candies to chips; unsure of what the other might like in specifics. by the looks of it, she’ll take whatever she can get.

“what? really?” it’s genuine surprise for someone like him who’s been pretty certain that people their age would be all the more likely to explore places like this for some kind of documentary or the chance for their findings to be published as a movie. huh. “you’re the first person i’m doing ghost hunting with, in my entire 24 years of living.” and in a way, it’s an accomplishment to be able to find the will for it. ( though, it doesn’t make it any different from people saying they want to see aliens in area 51. )

in front of you? sehun gets an idea — a really, stupid idea — pivoting on his foot to face sori with what seems like an imitation of an angry person, arms raised and all. “boo!” … then the embarrassment comes as a strong wave instantly, and he lets appendages fall back down to his side with the demeanor of a kicked puppy; clearing his throat, ahem. “okay,” he brushes it off, proceeding further into the place — a sound of something tumbling down rings in his ear that did not come from either of them, surely, and sehun whips his head back in sori’s direction. “did you hear that?”

a smile, cheeky in nature — is offered in response. “top tier survival skills, right?” he jests. though, he’d be lying if he said he didn’t watch at least a dozen of videos on "what to do if stuck alone" at least a few nights prior to this day. sehun is more physically prepared than he is mentally and emotionally. “no,” not many of his friends are the type to spare time for these kind of hangouts, neither are they easy things to bring up around them; a barrier sitting between interests. “have you?” he returns the inquiry with equal curiosity while steps trails towards the door, squeezing oneself past the open gap. an act of precaution, so there’s not a sound which disturbs, or alerts, save for a soft creak upon wooden floorboards. sehun pauses, a gust of wind hitting his face from somewhere, stirring the leaves on the ground and rustling through the trees outside. “i don’t think homeless people would choose an abandoned house to live in…” slowly, he turns back to sori. “stick close to me, okay?”

sori doesn’t mind the snacks, she’s actually happy he brought them along. chances are big that they won’t find any ghosts, so it might feel like their time in here is wasted, but joining sehun today isn’t wasted for sori, because she’ll be getting free snacks. it’s an easy trick to get sori to come along, her friends do it when she doesn’t want to join them in something, ‘we’ll buy you dinner’ or ‘we’ll buy you snacks’ are words that will most likely get sori to follow you.

she shakes her head, “i’ve never gone ghost hunting, it doesn’t really feel like something people our age would do” she shrugs. maybe she could’ve gone ghost hunting when she was a kid, but ghost interested her as much as a kid as they do now, so, basically not at all.

“you never know where an angry homeless person will be, they just randomly pop up in front of you”. she nods “i’ll stick closely to you, so you stick closely to me too, okay?”.
