sehun was your netflix binging partner before he was even your friend

okay ... he was your netflix binging partner before you even knew his name

you guys were in an ethics class together

and it was one of those common classes everyone in uni had to take no matter their major, so it was like 60 of you in a huge ass classroom

so you resorted to the only alternative to keeping you awake during 2 hour long, powerpoint based, boring lectures: 

yoy got the best out of your netflix subscription plan

god bless airpods bc you could just hide them with your hair and nobody ever noticed anything

except for sehun

who conveniently sat one seat to the left on the row above you

so he had the perfect view to your laptop screen

and had watched the whole fifth season of peaky blinders with you

of course he never told you bc that... that would have been kind of weird

so he just kept to himself and tried his best to keep on being your anonymous netflix partner

he had even started to buy himself some snacks to munch on during class and was truly living his best life

until you finished peaky blinders ... and were about to start watching crash landing on you

sehun just ... sehun loved that show, okay?

so when he saw the intro pop on your laptop he started choking on his shrimp chips, creating a commotion

like ... even the professor stopped talking and asked him if he was okay, causing everyone to turn around and face him

red-faced, choking him

even you, who had paused the show and turned around in your seat so quickly he thought you’d cracked your neck

and in that moment, sehun did the only thing he could think of

which in that case meant bolting straight out of the classroom coughing like a madman

and just like the concerned netflix partner classmate you were, you had walked out right after him

“yah! don’t run, let me help you!”

and tbh ... sehun had never expected to turn around and come face to face with you, holding a bottle of water for him to sip on

that alone helped him stop coughing

he reluctantly accepted the water while turning beet red in the face

so the two of you sat down on a set of stairs that were near the classroom while sehun drank his water

he was trying his best to zone you out, eyes set on the floor and only focusing on the bottle in his hand

bc that had been ... embarrassing, to say the least

and he had asked you, in the smallest voice possible to please wait until class was over to pick ur things up bc he didn’t wanna go in and then interrupt the lecture again

so you granted him his wish

and when people started piling out of the classroom, you were like well

and sehun didn’t even say anything to u before he walked back inside, took his backpack with him and walked away

so you were like ???? as you stashed your laptop in ur bag and walked back to your dorm

you didn’t see him the next class

and since the room was so big you were like wtf did he sit someplace else

you couldn’t even watch your show in peace that day bc ... what had you even done to him

the lesson after that ... you were resigned

whatever was his problem you wouldn’t mind

but then someone placed a blue thunder gatorade on your desk with a hot pink post it pasted on the cap

“spare airpod ???”

and sehun was sat on the chair next to yours, drinking from his own gatorade bottle while he waited for your response

so you fished the earbuds from your bag and extended your hand, one of them resting on your palm

sehun took it

and the two of you watched the third episode of the show together

the two of u didn’t speak much though

he’d muttered a soft “thank you” when returning the airpod when class was done and that was it

but then he sat next to you the following lesson

and the next one

and the next one

a couple of weeks after that he started giving you bags of chips and cookies alongside the gatorade

until you had finished a couple of dramas

... and the semester

the two of you were quite bummed the last day of classes

bc neither of you had seen the other one in any other classes so you were sure you weren’t in the same major

and sehun had only said “it was very nice meeting you” after the last class was over

and that was it

or u thought

until half-way through the summer, you had finally found enough willpower to clean your backpack

and had found a cute little note on the bottom of it

from none other but your cute, tall classmate

“maybe we could hang out and actually talk sometime?” alongside his phone number

and at first you were like oh a month has gone by, he won’t remember me

but then you wrote a simple “hey, it’s (y/n) from ethics”

and sehun almost ... choked once again when he read it

bc he though you just weren’t going to text him at all

and so the two of you started talking

he was very funny and easy-going, so you became friends pretty fast

you texted all through-out the summer

and ofc sehun told chanyeol, his best friend and roomate, about it

which prompted chanyeol to tease him 24/7 abt how he should just ask you out

and sehun was like “it’s not like that”

but everyone could see it was like that

so sehun was like ... okay i might

and he was like “so i was thinking ... maybe we could go to the movies”

and you were like !!!!!! red code !!!!!! alert !!!!!! oh my gOD 

bc you had been like ... crushing on him ever since the chip incident

and answered him like “yeah that’d be nice” 

a few days after you went to the movies

and were both a mess at first but the date actually turned out pretty well bc you went for dinner afterwards and everything ran out pretty smoothly

sehun was like OOOOOOH YEAH I’M UR BOYFRIEND NOW ... right after he walked you to your door

but you weren’t complaining bc you liked him a lot too

SO NOW

onto the relationship

ngl you are like low-key done with him the week after you start dating bc he is ... a little shit

like if he feels he isn’t getting enough attention he’ll go like “(y/n) that’s so unfaiiiiiiiiir”

but then he’ll start playing around with vivi and you’re standing there like okAY

and if you tell him he’ll get all sassy and go like “i knEW u just can’t live without me”

but then when you spend enough time with vivi and he starts running to you instead of sehun ... he goes like “wAIT (y/n) he’s MY son wtf”

but inside he’s like “that’s OUR son oh my god” 

gets low-key jealous of all the lead actors of the dramas you watch together

like suddenly you’ll turn around and he’s pouting 

but he forgets about it halfway through the episode

even though you two aren’t in the same class anymore he likes studying together

and is always buying snacks for your study dates

he’ll study for like 15 min and then will start pouting bc he wants kisses

wears a lot of hoodies and sweatpants but will also clean up somedays bc he wants to look nice for you

will very subtly leave his hoodies at your dorm

he thinks it’s romantiquè

and you’re very grateful for it bc he’s very tall and thus his hoodies are very cozy

you kinda want to kill him sometimes but he’s definitely the kind of guy that calls you at three am just because he wants to talk to you“i just wanted to hear your voice”

and he’s just laying in his bed smiling like a fool while you tell him about your day

you both end up constantly falling asleep over the phone but neither of you mind

and then chanyeol enters the apartment and sees him passed out on the couch with his phone in hand and your name on his screen 

it’s safe to say sehun’s not going to live it down

i don’t think he’d be a big fan of pda

so in public, you kinda only hold hands

he might give you a little kiss from time to time but that’s pretty much it

oh but in private ... he can’t keep his hands off you

and your butt

he gives the best hugs ever??? and it doesn’t help that he loves hugging you

definitely takes advantage of his height

for that, and for placing stuff on high places so that he has to help you on getting them down

you had your hair up in a bun and both of you were lounging in sweats

you had been playing around with snapchat filters and accidentally took the sweetest photo ever

so he asked you to send it to him

and he set it up as both his lock screen and his home screen

yours is a mirror selfie you took when you were watching him practice

you were taking a photo and when sehun noticed he came to give you a kiss on the cheek

and it was the sweetest thing ever

he literally sends you each and every selfie he takes

and sometimes goes like “hey does this look okay?”

and sometimes it’s more like “your boyfriend is so hot wth”

and just as he takes so many selfies so he can send them to you

he also likes taking photos with you

literally everywhere you two go

he either takes a selfie or asks someone to take a picture of you

and everyone he asks always thinks you’re the most adorable couple ever

bc the love you two have for each other is like so obviously there

and he gets so soft whenever people tell him that

even when it’s chanyeol who says it

truth is chanyeol loves you because of how happy you make sehun

he once told you when you got back home from a club

and hearing him say that only made you feel like you were walking on clouds even more

so the Kims have like a shitload of money

he has an older brother and Suho has watched enough dramas to know that the older ones are most likely to inherit the family business

anyways, let's get back to his horrible shopping habits

this is very important because this is how you come into the picture

he was out one day with Sehun, walking around one of the major shopping centers

just as they were leaving

there was a protest outside one of the department stores

the CEO had like 50+ charges of sexual assault and he was just let off

and wow

these people were angry

so where do you come in?

you….. you were in the front….

with a loudspeaker….

saying some things that…. no one should be saying with children present….

anyways

you were one of the people who’ve organized the event

because this asswipe was still working and got off with a warning from all of these assault charges????

you were not going to let this go

hence why you’re in the front, with your loudspeaker—spitting facts and roasting this man in front of his business

yeah, y’all were a bit of a smallish crowd

(a group of about thirty people)

but anyways

Suho saw you and

wow

his interest has been piqued

you were cute—yelling into your loudspeaker and your fist in the air

you have so much passion

Sehun has obviously noticed Suho had been staring at you for quite some time 

it’s hard not to notice

just as Sehun was just going to push Suho in the order direction, that shitty CEO steps out

and……. in front of you……

you remained calm, letting his douche canoe spit as he rambles on about how these women were all over-reacting and that you were an idiot for spending your free time here and that you were nothing more than a liberal snowflake

at this point, people were all recording on their phones but this man clearly didn’t care and just went ham on you

and as he pauses to breath, you take your chance: “I’m the snowflake and yet you’re the one who needs to chill”

you see the anger just explode in his eyes and, as he continues to yell, he raises an arm

just as he was about to swing at you, Suho steps in

right between you and the CEO, blocking you and grabbing his arm

Suho: “and what is it that you think you’re doing?”

CEO: “let go of me”

Suho: “and let you hit this stranger? aren’t you just embarrassing yourself even more?”

for the first time, you can see him flush with embarrassment as he realizes the eyes and the cameras that are on him

but then he snarls at Suho: “who the hell do you think you are?”

Suho smiles, but it’s as fake as this man: “I’m heir to the Kim business, I could make you disappear in two phone calls, would you like me to show you?”

he freezes, before yanking his arm out of Suho’s hand and walking off

muttering something about millennials

he finally turns to you, as the crowd starts to disperse

later that day, he may or not have used some of his family’s money for something other than meaningless shit

he was looking you up—you’ve done a lot of things and you have so many achievements

as well as enemies

he’s seen a lot of these people at the Kim’s charity auctions

and at business meetings

and the parties his family throws at their party mansion

oof—this is not looking good for him or these people

and their microplastic beads that’s polluting the ocean

and the high water demand due to the large amount being used in their products

jesus you have retweeted so many scholarly articles

and they’re like 40 pages long

Suho doesn’t think he’s read this much since college

(well his family paid their son’s way through, but you get what I mean)

he makes a note to shop there on the way sometime next week

just do he can see you again

the next week passes, more slowly than Suho had thought

as it comes, he goes ham on his shopping trips—he’s going to ALL the makeup department stores

never really buying anymore because he’s too busy on the lookout for you

he says it’s a “business trip”

(ignoring Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Jongdae + Sehun’s side eyes)

these people are really kissing up to his asses

literally getting up to his face and trying so many products on his faces

it’s like the spongebob episode when all those perfume people are spraying shit in his face 

yeah... imagine that 

his vision is getting blocked and his face is getting caked with every passing hour he spends

just as he was about to give up

the days roll around 

and he finally spots you outside the shopping center with your loudspeaker and protest signs

you’re in a group circle, talking with some other people 

who Suho is going to assume are other organizers

he manages to kind of sneak over as y’all are discussing 

you were discussing the main points and what the game plan was

Suho was just…. there…. 

you didn’t even know until everyone was dispersed to their positions

Suho: “so what can I do?” 

your eyes narrow at him: “pretty boy?” 

he smiles, so stupidly bright: “yeah” 

you eye him up and down: “are you lost? don’t you have a department store to get to?” 

Suho: “this is a department store” 

You: jesus christ 

You: “okay, in case there was another misunderstanding on my abilities, I can handle this” 

Suho: “I understand, I just want to help” :) 

you nearly growl at him, what an idiot 

you don’t realize you’ve been staring at him for a while, until a friend of yours steps up next to you and give you a little nudge 

your friend whispers to you: “he’s a Kim, his involvement would mean more exposure” 

you let out a deep sigh and shoo her away to deal with the stragglers who’ve just joined 

You: “do you know why we’re here?” 

Suho: “false claims of the makeup being cruelty free?” :)

You: “lucky guess” 

You: “okay fine, we’re gonna be here for a couple of hours—he’s arriving soon and then he’ll leave, just as he always does and we’ll have to rally in case he gets aggressive”

Suho: “okay, got it” 

he gives another smile and is so compliant, you figure he’ll be here for a bit and then leave 

but, to your shock, he’s there the whole you’ve been there

which is like two hours longer than the others were supposed to be there 

and even after the whole thing, he asks you what else is coming up 

with another push from your friend, you reluctantly share the information with him from your organization’s website and facebook group and all this other stuff

but let’s be real, Suho already knew some of this stuff due to all of his internet stalking

it doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate you sharing the information tho 

anyways 

he comes to the next one—just as you told him from last time 

and the other one

and another one

eventually, he just makes it part of his schedule to come and help out

at first, you didn’t really think he would show up

and when he does, you asked why

Suho: “I have a lot of free time”

somehow you don’t doubt that

the more he’s been coming, the more interested you were

not in the sense that “oh he’s so attractive for fighting for these causes alongside with me” interested

it’s more of the “what does this sneaky motherfucker want” interested

so you do some digging and it only confuses you more

shouldn’t be fighting his brother for that heir position for the Kim Incorporation?

why is he so interested in being part of this fight that involves… well, him?

isn’t he worried we’ll start attacking the Kims?

a lot of the other organization members notice it as well

because I mean, have you seen him?

(he is very attractive)

but also because this big name hot shot is at these small group protests, when he should be in a meeting or something

it doesn’t mean his efforts aren’t appreciated

he always gets the group things like food and supplies for strikes that last for longer than usual

for instance, you and your organization went to join teachers who were striking for a better contract with the school district

Suho came running with more posters, loudspeakers, shakers, coffee, sandwiches

the district teachers absolutely adored him—they even took pictures with him 

but, you will admit that it’s nice to talk to him, despite the differences in social class 

he likes talking to you too 

(maybe more than he likes to admit) 

it’s just 

you have this fire in your eyes 

the passion in your voice is clear 

and you know what you want and you go for it, without any mercy for anyone who gets in your way 

but you have that sensitivity and awareness and drive to help others that’s the whole point of you even being here 

he wishes he had that

but, these last few weeks

he actually feels good to help you out

whether it’s running for supplies or providing donations for causes you’ve told him about  

he feels purposeful

he feels good that he can help all these people and that his time is actually useful

and now, your organization is getting more exposure, which is nice

…. until the media gets involved and starts to paste Suho’s face on it

and that’s when you realize what he’s been doing

the Kim family had been using this whole thing as a reputation tactic

you feel stupid letting him into this

what you wanted to do was make a change for those who couldn’t advocate for themselves

and now all your hard work is being passed in the hands of some rich guy with way too much time on his hands

so, you did what you did best: dig some dirt on some filthy rich people

turns out there was a previous scandal with the family

they underpaid their staff

lots of people were getting low/little income and they were at a disadvantage because they were in a position where they couldn’t quit

when word got out, they said they would raise the wages

but some people say that these people didn’t

so you’re gonna find out—you snuck around their estate, talking to the staffers about the incident

most were unwilling to talk, but there were a couple of people who shared with you

they talked about they had medical bills, student debt, disabled family members, etc.

they had to work here and have to continue

apparently it was said that they would receive raises, but it isn’t livable—they only had 10 cent raises, but only after working for 5 years at a time

office workers obviously were higher up, but the servant staffers at the estate were taken advantage of

even after it was exposed, they didn’t really do anything about it

while you spent a couple of weeks snooping around

Suho had been at home

his parents were clearly upset because he’d been spending too much with the lower class

Mrs. Kim: “it’s good for our reputation, but you can’t keep spending your time with them”

Mr. Kim: “why can’t you be more like Dongkyu and spend more time in the office”

Suho: “I’m not even inheriting the company, why bother working?”

Mr. Kim: “of course you’ll inherit the company, alongside with your brother—it’ll be an even split”

Suho: “what if… what if I don’t want to inherit the company?”

Mrs. Kim: “what else are you going to do, if not a businessman?”

he doesn’t know why, but your face flashes in his head at that moment

in fact, you might get along with him better if he lost the inheritance

he wouldn’t be able to donate anymore

or get any supplies

maybe his support would be enough

the only question is to whether or not his family would cut him off

so, he speaks the truth

Suho: “I… I don’t know”

it’s been a couple of weeks since he’s seen you, so when he comes to the next meeting…

he was a bit excited

but when he comes

that fire is in your eyes once again…  but it’s towards him

Suho: “hey” :)

You: “so when were you going to tell me that you’re an absolute douche-bag”

Suho: “what?”

You: “your face is all over our hard work and now you get all the credit?”

You: “not to mention, you don’t say shit about all these people who you work with”

You: “also your family is garbage—really? underpaying the staff and lying about it?”

he’s…... speechless

on one hand, you’re right

and on the other…. you’re right

what is he really doing here?

is he actually making a difference?

you, on the other hand, you’re….

you’re amazing

you have been able to draw attention to all these issues

and you’ve been able to make these changes

you might not be filthy rich, but it doesn’t mean you don’t have any influence

Suho can’t really say anything other than…

Suho: “I’m sorry”

You: “you think that’s enough?”

Suho: “no, it’s not enough, I just don’t know what else I can say”

to be fair, you should be really pissed—you are pissed

but he looks so dejected

you remembered talking to him about his family ties and their family history… is not pretty

so you soften up a bit

just a bit

but only because it’s him

the one who always comes with a smile on his face

the one who comes with more than enough supplies because he wants to make sure everyone is comfortable

the one who hangs around you because he knows how tired you are

the one who stays and listens to you rambling for hours about a million different social issues

you put a hand on his shoulder

You: “you don’t always have to say it, sometimes it’s a matter of doing”

thanks to you, he decided to do something

for another couple of weeks he doesn’t see you

but you?

you def saw him

on the news

he got busy

he went on his usual schedule (like his parents wanted)

but this time

he wasn’t quiet about it

I’m talking about pointing out the environmental drawbacks of these products

calling out the people during the “charity” events

cutting of trade with those who don’t give fair wages

he’s even actually been trying to actually raise those wages for the servants in the Kim house 

(of course with the request of your help)

and wow

the news are just having a field day and eating it up

so that ultimately means his parents are seeing all of this

and what happens?

he gets cut off

he’s no longer inheriting the Kim fortune

Dongkyu is getting everything and he gets nothing 

but with your help, he’s a successful business consultant

turns out that business degree did do some good

he helps develop local businesses and the money he makes

not only goes to good causes

but also to help promote your organization

with the rightful faces on it

the effort he makes to recover from his blissful ignorance

you became friends with sehun quite quickly when you first started working at the shop

he had gotten there way before you did because the shop was his aunt’s, and working there had been his way of saving up a bit before college began

but somewhere along the many bouquets he had spent countless hours setting up, he actually started liking flowers

so he just kept working with them

but when his college schedule got a bit messed up, his aunt was forced to look for someone that could help and ease sehun’s schedule for a bit

and so in came you

you had, quite literally, ran into the flower shop’s flyer when walking home from class

some guy on a skateboard lost control and bumped in you, making you trip on the sidewalk 

and as you were getting up, your eyes locked on a bright-pink piece of paper that read “help needed !!!!!” in bold, capital letters

you were kind of discouraged at first when you saw it was about a flower shop

because you knew nothing about flowers

but after thinking about it for a bit, you decided the best way to learn about flowers was actually working with them

so you went to the shop and asked about the job

and sehun’s aunt practcially hired you on the spot

low-key because she had been trying to play match-maker with him for a while and knew, the second she saw you, that you’d make a nice couple

she literally didn’t care you didn’t know a thing about flowers

“don’t worry, my nephew can teach you”

and she told you to come back the next day

now, you wanted to make a good impression on your first day of work

given that you were kind of clue-less about the work you were going to do

so you dressed up quite nicely and showed up five minutes before your shift was supposed to begin

and no one was there

you kept looking at your watch and the “be right back!” sign on the door

until you were, once again, knocked off your feet by a moving figure before you even had the time to process it

“fuck, are you okay?”

you heard as a pair of white sneakers appeared in your field of vision

you merely nodded before you were offered a hand, and quickly got up as a thousand apologies rained on you

“shut up chanyeol, you did enough already”

turning to find the source of the voice, you encountered two tall guys, one that was looking at you in concern, and another, staring at you with eyes wide open while still muttering endless i’m sorry’s

and you mumbled an i’m fine, hoping that would make him stop

because as he kept apologizing to you, the other one grew anxious

and if they kept you on the street with their bickering, you weren’t going to notice the shop opening, and you would be late

or so you thought

“you sure you’re alright?”

the shorter of the two asked, fiddling with a key set and looking down at the time on his phone

“yeah, it’s not a big deal,”

and just before the taller one could go on another apology streak, the other one spoke

“listen, i can open the shop and you can sit down for a bit until your knee stops bleeding,”

and to be honest, you hadn’t even noticed you had actually gotten hurt, and it didn’t matter much to you, because had he said the shop? as in, the flower shop you were supposed to start working at?

you didn’t say anything as he unlocked the door and stepped inside, the scent of fresh flowers invading your nose

you walked in right after him and stopped at the counter as he made his way toward the back, leaving you in the front alongside his friend

“listen, i’m sorry, i’m still getting the hang of the board because i broke my bike and getting it fixed was way more expensive than buying the board, but i had never been able to skate and even when i’ve been practicing it’s still kind of hard for me, it’s probably because i’m so tall but -” 

“jesus fuck chanyeol, stop,”

he said as he returned with a stool in one hand and a water bottle in the other, handing them to you

“here, it’s not ice cold but you can use it to clean the wound,”

“do you work here?” you asked as you took the bottle from him

he answered with only a nod, tying up a black apron around his torso, protecting his clothes

“i’m supposed to start working here today, too,”

the taller one gasped, looking at you in surpirse

“i ... ran your co-worker over? fuck, your aunt is going to kill me”

“well ... more like skated me over, huh?”

and that had been the reason why you had spent your first day limping around the shop while sehun showed you around

he was surprisingly patient when teaching you about flowers

after all, he had once been in your place, clueless and learning as much as he could from his aunt

and so during the days when you shared a shift, you’d talk not only about flowers, but you’d start getting to know each other

and so you became friends

you even got along with chanyeol, the delivery boy

which was kind of weird because he kept on making deliveries in his skate board

but then sehun told you it was an extra job his aunt offered him so he could save up a bit of money

because the two of them had been friends since they were kids

and once chanyeol was able to put the incident behind and stop apologizing every time he saw you, you became friends as well

by then you’d already spent quite some time talking about movies and songs while sehun and you came up with arrangements

with chanyeol snacking on gummies or chips while he watched the two of you work

and it was during one of those ... sessions ? that your little competition began

you had been working on some bouquets for the shop’s displays when chanyeol started teasing sehun about how your bouquet was better than his even if you’d only been working at the shop for a little over a month

and it’s not that sehun minded

because it’s not like he hadn’t been crushing on you ever since he saw you fall down right in front of the shop

and it’s not like he wasn’t proud of how better you’ve become with flowers

but ... it was chanyeol ... teasing him

and so he made up his mind

he’d prove chanyeol he was the best florist

and if he could, impress you with the bouquets he could create

and so ever since that day you’d walk into the shop and find another one of sehun’s creation resting on the counter

he’d always include a card

some days he’d write something along the lines of top this or please tell chanyeol you liked it even if you didn’t

and you’d leave one of yours in return when your shift ended

you wouldn’t leave a note every time

but when you did, he always kept them

it didn’t matter how mundane and friendly they were

because sometimes they only consisted of you saying hi

other times you’d compliment his bouquet of the day

and those were the ones sehun really took to heart

because hey, that had been for you

even if you didn’t know

and to be honest ... he was fine with you not knowing

being your friend was enough for him, right?

until you were on a shift together

and a guy had walked into the shop, looking at the sunflower bouquet sehun had arranged for you

he had been working on an order for a wedding and didn’t notice at first how persistent the guy was with his questions

or how tense you looked when answering him

until she asked for the price of it

“it’s - it’s not up for sale, sorry,”

and you knew it was probably just because he thought you were cute

which ... who didn’t

and sehun was pretty sure he’d seen the guy around the shop before

but the way in which you were so hellbent in defending the bouquet ... 

that was something else

“it’s hers,”

he spoke up from the back, wiping his hands on his apron as he approached you

“it’s not on sale because it’s hers,”

“and how do you know?”

“because he made it for me,”

and he would’ve probably scream if he was alone

but this is more of a house they can go back to

they all live within the city/suburb

Chanyeol lives in the city since he works part time at a music shop

he likes the hustle and bustle of the city

despite the pollution, crowdedness and rude people that are there

but when he found the whole in the wall music shop

he absolutely fell in love with it

the owner loves him btw

(Chanyeol brings in a lot of customers)

anyways

I don’t want to say werewolf!Chanyeol is just a giant puppy

but that’s exactly what he’s like

he needs to go on frequent runs in his wolf form

someone always needs to come with him because he rolls around a lot in mud

oftentimes, he has to stop himself from peeing on trees

Sehun: “dude, that’s been marked”

Chanyeol: “yeah… BY ME AHA SUCKER I OWN THE WOODS”

Sehun: “oh god”

Chanyeol is also super hyper

like he’s got more stamina and energy than the other boys

which is why he goes on the most runs

pent up energy is a scary thing

(so the exo boys have learned)

that also means he’s one of the best fighters of the pack

(Kyungsoo is a near second, but he’s really good when he’s angry)

but I mean fighting when necessary

so Chanyeol’s wolf form is………. huge

since he’s really tall, his wolf form literally towers over the others

he almost looks like the alpha

this also gives him an advantage in fights bc intimidation usually works the fastest and results to the least amount of violence

anyways

so his fur is a light brown, mixed with white—there are some dark brown spots too, but you really have to squint to see it

you know how his ears are really big and stick out

best believe his ears are literally the same in his wolf form

they’re so big and fluffy and if his eyes don’t give away his emotions, his ears do too

his paws are also big

but that’s also bc his hands are big

Kyungsoo: “what did you eat as a child?”

Chanyeol: “jealous, shorty? no one can be as tall as—oW sTOP HITTING ME”

they can hit him all they want

bc by the end of the day, he, Sehun, and Yifan are the only ones who can reach the top of the cabinets

despite his tall stature and formidable fighting skills, this man is the clumsiest

he causes the most accidents in the exo house

in his apartment building

but he hasn’t had an accident in the shop

(not yet anyways—Jongdae and Baekhyun have a side bet going as to when that’s gonna happen)

it happens a lot in the city too

but it’s not his fault

he….. just has really long limbs and don’t know how to control them 100%

it’s fine tho because he was able to meet you through because of his clumsiness

okay so mates are a thing for supernatural creatures

including werewolves

while some mates are wolves too

so Chanyeol was on the street, walking back to his city apartment

he was with some of the other guys (Baekhyun and Jongdae)

and then he smells something

something sweet

and alluring

so he follows it

in fact, he runs after it down the street

(with the others chasing him)

he’s running past all these people and he’s getting closer and closer

that’s when he runs into you

and I don’t mean the cute kind of running into you

I mean this man full on tackles you

obviously, it’s by accident but

it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt less

while you were curious to what just happened

he was completely enamored

he’d heard of finding one’s mate

mate meetings can happen in wolf form

and others in human form

the main thing was that your body would just know they were the one

he had no idea how he was going to meet his mate, but this is was definitely not how he pictured it

meanwhile, all you knew was that you were walking back to your apartment

and next thing you knew, you were on the ground

and looking into a pair of brown eyes that sparkled down towards you

Chanyeol: “hi”

You: “hi”

Chanyeol: “I’m Chanyeol”

You: “hi, I’m (Y/N)”

Chanyeol: “that’s a nice name”

You: “thanks”

Baekhyun: out of breath from running after Chanyeol’s long ass legs

Baekhyun: “hey, as cute as this is, maybe you should get off of them?”

You: “I agree with the short one”

Baekhyun: “RUDE”

Chanyeol gets up and pulls you up along with him

when he gets a hold of your hand, he gets that feeling

that feeling that he never wants to let it go

unfortunately, when you do, a part of him cries on the inside

(that’s the big puppy coming out)

Chanyeol: “I’m sorry about ramming into you like that”

You: “apology accepted”

Chanyeol: “can I make it up to you…?”

You: ???

Chanyeol: “like…. a… dinner?........ date?.... if you want……”

you don’t know why, but there’s something in you that makes you say yes

maybe it’s bc this gigantic dude who towers over the crowd

looks like the softest lil marshmallow with his red cheeks and big ears

so you go on the date

and you actually have a great one

he takes you out to a drive in movie theatre, along with dinner

it’s simple

but it’s perfect

so you go on a few more dates and next thing you know

you’ve been in this relationship for like seven months

he’s great—he’s super supportive and radiates optimism

but like there’s something kind of weird...... 

like there are periods of time when he says, “sorry, I’m gonna be busy that night :(“

and that’s fine, but he tells you like… a couple of months in advance

you wanna mind your own business

but you’re also kinda curious bc he never tells you what for

and things kind of get weirder when you officially meet his friends for the first time

you already knew Jongdae and Baekhyun from the first meeting

and you met them a couple of times after

but now you were going to meet the whole group

you’ve heard horror tales of Kyungsoo and Minseok

(courtesy of Baekhyun, but Jongdae says to ignore it—something about Baekhyun being annoying lmao)

you’ve also heard a lot about Jongin and his alarming chicken consumption

along with stories about Sehun and Tao

(and their inability to agree to anything—they’re like babies that way, at least that’s what Chanyeol says)

Suho is like a mother hen and Yifan is like the father bear

apparently, Yixing and Luhan are the nicest so you’ll bond with them the quickest

they’d be the least chaotic members, so you were advised to stay close to them lol

so this all sounds super cute and you are ecstatic to meeting them

and then the time comes for you to meet them

at first, the meeting is just………. kind of odd to you

because it’s at the exo house……………….

so he takes you into the woods to go to the house…………

but listen

if a man took you into a deep part of the woods

where you are very unfamiliar with—wouldn’t you be concerned about being murdered?

yeah, Chanyeol didn’t really think this through bc..... 

that’s exactly where YOUR head space is

lowkey you were like

hahahahaha pls don’t kill me

and just as you’re at the acceptance stage like

okay, this is fine—I’ll just die

the house comes into view and y’all enter

Kyungsoo made dinner

they planned a game night

it was so much fun—you could really tell these boys were like family

and for a second you forget that you are isolated in the woods with 12 rowdy boys

and that this is not normal……. at least, not for humans

unless they’re some frat boy that can’t get over the fact that they peaked in college

anyways

after this meeting, it was more and more common for you to join those group meetings

you’ve met the others’ partners too—well, at least those who have them

despite you getting along with all of Chanyeol’s friends, which is great

there’s still something a bit off

and the thing is 

is that Chanyeol knows you don’t know that they’re wolves

so he made sure to tell the boys that 

one, you’re human 

and two, you don’t know that they’re wolves so they need to keep it lowkey 

but.......... exo is anything but lowkey and this was something you kind of picked up on 

not just with all of them being in an isolated mansion-like house

the main thing with the boys is that they let it slip that they own the land here

but what do they do as jobs to have the house?

and sure, Suho is like a mother hen, but like they also kind of do like a reporting thing

like………… some kind of boss…………..

and yeah, Yifan is the father figure……. but there’s some type of hierarchy thing that Yifan is “reporting” to Suho too……

it’s all really weird

and you can’t tell if it’s a bro culture thing or something, so you don’t really say or ask anything

and yeah, Chanyeol thinks he’s slick 

he is not bc 

there’s also a couple of things about Chanyeol that’s kind of off to you 

like he’s weird, but then there are some things that are just………. Weird

for example, he’s very affectionate, right?

but like, he seems to hold himself back for you

yeah, skinship is a thing for you both 

but 

let’s just say second base seems to be the farthest you’re going, even tho you’ve made it every clear you are willing to go all around and do a home run twice

there’s also another thing, which is fine, but like

Chanyeol’s just kind of…… watching you lose it

in retrospect, maybe he should have thought this through

after you finish laughing, you wipe a couple of tears from your eyes

You: “phew, Channie, that’s pretty fucking funny”

Chanyeol: “(Y/N), I’m not kidding—I’m a werewolf”

then, what he says………………… sinks in

and now it’s your turn to look at him like he’s lost it

You: it’s not too late, maybe I can take him to a therapist

You: “um, Chanyeol, you know this prank isn’t very funny”

Chanyeol: “don’t say that, I can prove it”

You: oh no

he steps back and takes off his shirt

(to which you snap a mental image)

he climbs onto a higher rock, where he towers over you

You: “hey, Chanyeol.. you might, uh, wanna get off that”

You: he’s gonna die

and then he jumps off

there’s a flash of light and he transforms, landing on the ground on all four paws

all you saw was a giant wolf that’s at least twice your size

you could only stare

you tried not to move

that’s not very hard considering how frozen you were

for a second, you think you’ve gone insane

but it’s there in front of you

the wolf moves closer to you, slowly and carefully

when it gets close enough, it bows his head to you in submission

and when it opens its eyes

you see the familiar, warm, brown eyes that sparkle at you

the gold specks in them shine a bit more

I want to say that you were able to accept it real quickly

but you don’t

it’s kind of a shock……

so you take a little break from all of this

while Chanyeol understands, it doesn’t mean he’s not upset

his other half is apart from him and he feels like his heart’s slowly being ripped out of his chest

it’s not that you had a problem with it

it was the process

yeah, he lied but like

it’s bc he’s a supernatural being

(that you can empathize with)

but that means other beings probably exist

what if that one waiter was a vampire who could have eaten you

or that one swimmer was a mermaid

this is just a collision of so many worlds

at this point, you were just trying to understand what actually happened

time passes and you don’t even know how much has

until Suho and Yifan end up at your apartment door

they both came with like a fruit basket or something (in their defense, they didn’t know what you would like)

Suho: “hi~ can we come in?”

Yifan: “we just wanted to talk and check-in”

they end up at your place for hours

they really did come to check in with you and see how you were handling the whole thing

and took the time to explain how things worked for them

(the impact of full moons, the concept of soulmates, imprinting….. the whole package)

and they answer any questions you have had

they really were super sweet about the whole thing

and eventually, you ask about Chanyeol

You: “is… is he okay?”

Yifan: “he’s been acting like a kicked puppy since you left—oW”

Suho rolls his eyes at Yifan, not apologizing for hitting him

Suho: “yes, he’s upset, but he’s more concerned about you and where this relationship is supposed to go now?”

Yifan: “we’re not rushing you or anything, but he…. he’ll need an answer eventually”

Suho: “just think about and sort out your emotions, and when you’re ready…. you’re welcome anytime at the exo house”

it was real eye opening for you

when they left, they also left their numbers for you

Suho: “call anytime, a mate of an exo member is a member of ours”

later that night, while you in bed, you thought about it

but, it wasn’t until another couple of days pass that you actually talk to him

it’s a rainy day and you were sitting on your couch, watching tv and eating cereal

all of a sudden, the sadness hits you

and you really miss him

and you really wanted to see him

so you do

you grab a pair of shoes and your keys—immediately heading out

you drive through the rain, thinking about what you were even going to do or say

next thing you knew, you were at the exo house’s door

you really should have thought things through, but

you didn’t really know what else to do

you knock on it, hoping that Chanyeol was there

Tao and Sehun open the door, seeing you standing there—soaking wet from the rain, in your sweatpants and with mismatched shoes

You: “uh, hi guys”

Suho pushes in between them and sees you there

Suho: “oh my god, (Y/N), come in, come in”

they get you in

Kyungsoo gets you some green tea

Yixing gets blankets for you

Luhan picks out some warm clothes for you

and Minseok dries your other clothes

the other boys and their mates keep you entertained for a bit

amidst the chaos, Jongin rests a hand on your shoulder

Jongin: “Chanyeol went out for a run, you can wait in his room if you want”

when you find a chance, you do—you go up the familiar stairs and hallway

and you just

wait

there’s a bit of a lull of silence and then you hear his voice

Chanyeol: “(Y/N) is WHAT?”

you can hear him running up the stairs and before you can say anything

he tackles you onto the bed

You: “CHANYEOL WE TALKED ABOUT THE TACKLING”

Chanyeol: “I’m sorry, I got excited” :(

you and Chanyeol settle on the bed and just………. talk

you get things sorted out and it’s great

after you figure out things, everything’s kind of back to normal (as much as it could be)

you lowkey kind of live in the exo house now

like your things are in Chanyeol’s room

anyways

werewolf!Chanyeol is a lot more fun than people would think

he’s a lot more relaxed about things

now he’s most likely to be lounging around in his half form, with the whole ears and tail thing

you give him a lot more tummy rubs

you scratch his ears too

the whole dog package

I mean wolf

you actually came to one of the full moon nights and it was super fun

Chanyeol spent the whole night right next to you

he’s also a lot more openly affectionate

I mean the whole package: hand-holding, lap-sitting, public cuddling

he knows no boundaries

he is super careful about his strength tho—always checking in with you and making sure you’re feeling safe and comfortable

and it’s safe to say that y’all are way past second base

I’m not saying anything else for the kiddos

other than the whole full moon transformation thing

there’s no real difference between the boy that tackled you and the wolf that you’re with now

and you can’t wait to spend the rest of your life with him as his mate
