gonna be honest here. i never really understood the appeal of the whole 'my baby aww arent they so precious they're a baby they're baby'/'my son/daughter' thing... maybe i'm a little too far on the spectrum or maybe i'm just too much of an older brother but even when i was in circles where it was more common i still didn't get it. like what's the appeal of calling this character a baby or your son/daughter idgaf. they have parents of their own they can deal with their own damn issues. stop infantilizing them...it feels so weird and fandom-mom-y

Huh lol, speaking of obsession, sorry this got buried in my inbox. No I had not seen it, and its wild that we can both read the same thing and my brain goes - Wow Dream is so lonely in prison, how long has he been in isolation at this point? - And theirs goes - Dream is so obsessed with Tommy… like I’m gonna be real I don’t even see it. Forever is a long time and I think Dream did in some way see Tommy as a friend.

It makes me think about my theory [here] actually, about Dream’s plan to put himself in Pandora’s Vault, being about rehabilitation, reconciliation and being able to be friends and to join society again. Because these transcripts really highlight ‘one day maybe I’ll just walk out’ and ‘maybe you just visit once a month’… and that kinda sounds to me not that Dream is obsessed but perhaps Dream just wants to fix their relationship and become better in their eyes to the point they let him out.… forever is a long time after all - is he truly past the point of rehabilitation?…
