(Happy happy birthday Noelle (@frankenstein-ate-my-left-shoe) thank you for all your amazing fun facts which are the source for this little ficlet. I hope you enjoy <3)
For some reason, The Party had decided to rent Friday the 13th for their upcoming movie night at Steve's house. With all the shit they've been through, Steve thinks that maybe it's a strange choice, but he knows better than to question the kids.
"What a nice choice," Robin says sarcastically as she looks over Steve's shoulder at the tape. She hasn't quite grasped how defensive the teens can get, but they seem to respect her more than they respect Steve. Figures.
"Isn't it?" Dustin snarks back as he grabs the tape from the counter.
Max rolls her eyes and adds, "I said the same thing."
"Yeah, because you want to watch some shit like Cinderella," Mike whines.
"Does it ever hurt your tiny, sexist brain to think of those weak insults?" Max asks with her eyebrows raised.
Lucas tries to hide a laugh as Mike glares at him.
"Alright, alright, this is the Family Video. Take it outside if you guys are going to bicker," Steve says with a sigh as he moves to restack some tapes Dustin had nudged just to be annoying.
"You and Robin bicker all the time," Dustin says defensively.
Steve gives him a look. "Do you want to lose Harrington house privileges?"
Dustin sighs, looking like he really wants to argue before he turns around to the group and announces defeatedly, "Alright, let's get snacks before tonight."
As they're filing out the door, Dustin runs back to the counter and adds, "I almost forgot. Is it fine if Eddie comes?"
Steve shrugs, trying to look unphased by the question. "Sure," he says, voice cracking a bit.
Dustin instantly lights up. "Great! I already invited him, so that would've been awkward. See you later!"
Robin comes up to him and lightly shoves his shoulder. "Sure," she mocks him. "You're so smooth."
"Shut up," Steve says with a sigh. God, Robin will never let him live down what he thought to be his deathbed confession of his crush on Eddie. In reality, he was just put on so many painkillers in the hospital that he had gotten confused when he woke up in a hospital room.
And yeah, maybe the crush still hasn't gone away and Robin definitely knows, but he refuses to acknowledge it.
"You're going to be at the movie night, right?" Steve asks.
Robin groans. "I've already told you, I have my parent's anniversary dinner tonight."
"So, you'll be at my house tonight," Steve jokes.
"I wish."
Steve nudges her shoulder. He's already seen the obnoxious pictures of Robin and her parents from every year of their wedding anniversaries lining the walls of one particular hallway. It's endearing really, but Robin hates it.
"You better call me later if anything new develops between you and Eddie," Robin whispers although there's no one in the room.
Steve just nods, feeling the blood rise to his cheeks as he still refuses to verbally acknowledge the ridiculous crush that maybe fills his stomach with butterflies and all those obnoxious things.
He sighs and turns to Robin. "How am I going to survive tonight without you?"
"The world may never know," she says dramatically.
And really, the world may never know. At least, that's how Steve feels.
-:-:-:-:-:-
Okay, maybe Steve is a little bit of a mess.
Sure, Eddie has shown up, and Steve has been playing it cool, but it's like he can't take his eyes off him. He's made so much eye contact, he's sure that he's creeping Eddie out a bit or giving away his huge crush.
But he’s Steve Harrington. Like Steve “The Hair” Harrington. Inventor of the Harrington charm. All that stuff. And… Eddie has absolutely melted him into a puddle of goo. Christ.
By the time the movie starts, Steve’s head is practically buzzing with all his thoughts of Eddie is sitting next to me. What do I do? The kids are here, so I can’t make a move. But I don’t even know if he likes me.
Then, Max’s question breaks through the thoughts as she asks, “When is the next Friday the 13th this year?”
“Well, fun fact, any month that starts on a Sunday will have a Friday the 13th,” Eddie says with a proud grin.
Steve ignores the kids’ responses asking when that month is and the subsequent response from Eddie saying he doesn’t know, but he just knows the fact.
But for some reason, the fact is absolutely blowing Steve’s mind.
And yes, maybe it’s because it came from Eddie, but truly, when Steve associates fact with something, it is never fun. But this truly is a… fun fact.
He must have a look on his face because Eddie eyes him and asks, “What?”
Steve just shrugs and says, “I just… really thought the fact was… fun.” Jesus, did his Harrington charm just evaporate or something?
But he thinks the honesty of it works for Eddie who smiles softly at him. “Yeah?”
“Yeah, how did you know that?”
Eddie swings an arm casually over the back of the couch and leans in. “I’m full of fun facts, Harrington.” He gives him a winks before leaning back.
Steve leans into his space, trying to close some of the distance between them. “Tell me another one.”
Eddie laughs, “I’m going to max out my fun fact limit to one a day.”
“That doesn’t seem fair.”
Eddie tilts his head toward him. “It’s fair if it gives me an excuse to talk to you every day.”
Okay, yeah. That was blatant flirting. Which Steve is about to match, until the kids decide now is the best time to interrupt and yell at them to be quiet as the movie starts.
As the movie goes on, Eddie and Steve drift closer together while trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible in front of the kids. They haven’t talked about it, of course, but Steve’s pretty sure neither of them want to scar the kids. Or maybe, Steve just doesn’t want the kids to very accurately point out his feelings for Eddie and force him to deal with them.
Unfortunately, this also means that Steve doesn’t get a moment alone with Eddie to further flirt with him or try to push him for another fact. But maybe it’s not such a bad thing. Especially since Eddie gave him an excuse to talk to him tomorrow.
-:-:-:-:-:-
“What’s another fun fact?” Steve asks as soon as he hears Eddie on the other line.
“Christ, I just woke up. Give my brain a few seconds,” Eddie groans into the phone, voice rough with sleep.
Steve smiles. “Good morning by the way,” he says sweetly.
“Good morning,” Eddie replies back, sounding a bit less grumpy. There’s a bit of shuffling on his side of the phone before he says, “It’s illegal to feed pigeons on the streets of San Francisco.”
Steve’s jaw drops. “There’s no way!”
“Go ahead and feed a pigeon there then,” Eddie says with a laugh.
“Maybe I will. If you come with me and promise to bail me out.”
Eddie hums on the other line. “I don’t know. I think it would be fun to spend a night in a jail cell with you. Maybe I’ll join you in your crime.”
“Scratch that, I’m bailing you out.”
“That’s sounds about right, Bonnie.”
“Bonnie?” Steve questions, feeling like he’s missed something.
Eddie gasps on the other line. “Like Bonnie and Clyde!”
Steve doesn’t respond, waiting for Eddie to fill him in.
“Okay, this doesn’t count as a fun fact because this is just a story of one of the greatest crime couples to ever exist,” Eddie says excitedly, rambling on about the two.
Steve sits back, cheeks hurting from smiling a little too hard as he listens to Eddie and tries not to linger too much on the fact he compared the two of them to a real life couple.
-:-:-:-:-:-
The phone calls continue every day, but the fun facts really are just a starting point to a long drawn out conversation about whatever’s on their mind.
Robin has pretended to get tired whenever Steve calls her right after Eddie has to hang up or spends hours talking about Eddie during their shift at the Family Video. But he knows she’s secretly just as enthralled about the fun facts as he is.
“Did you know that the Statue of Liberty wears a size eight hundred seventy nine shoe?” Steve asks Robin, still in disbelief over the fact.
“Sounds like you’re talking about me,” Eddie says, somehow coming into the store without Steve noticing.
Steve’s heart beats a little harder as he turns to him. “All good things of course,” Steve says with a wink.
“I was scared you were passing off my facts to Buckley as if they were your own for a second there,” Eddie says, leaning across the the counter.
“And what if I was?” Steve challenges, leaning on the counter.
“Then, I would have to revoke my daily fun fact.”
Steve’s jaw drops. “You’d never.”
Eddie shrugs. “Maybe you’ll just have to see.”
Steve just laughs and shoves his shoulder lightly. “What are you doing here though? Coming to deliver my fun fact in person?”
Eddie blushes and looks down. “No, I was actually just… wondering if you wanted to hang out tonight.”
“Sounds good,” Steve says automatically, not even stopping to think if he has any other plans.
“I’ll see you after your shift then?” Eddie asks, tilting his head a bit.
“I’ll see you then,” Steve confirms with a smile.
Eddie nods and turns to leave.
“Oh, wait!” Steve calls out.
Eddie turns around.
“You haven’t told me your fun fact for today.”
Eddie smiles. “You’ll just have to wait until tonight. After all, it’s a pretty good excuse to make sure you come over.”
Steve scoffs, “As if that’s the only reason.”
Eddie just pulls his hair in front of his face as his smile gets a little wider. “See you soon.”
“Bye,” Steve says, waggling his fingers at him.
“Holy shit,” Robin says, startling Steve. “I thought you said your crush was hopeless.”
Steve just shrugs. “It’s Eddie, he flirts with everyone.”
“Not like that.”
Steve pauses and thinks back on their conversation and all the flirtatious banter leading up to this moment. Maybe she’s right, but also he remembers… “Did you know that bubble wrap was invented by accident?”
Robin runs a hand over her face and says, “You two are going to be the death of me, I can already tell.”
Steve just smiles and thinks maybe they will be.
-:-:-:-:-:-
A few hours later, he shows up at Eddie’s, trying not to overthink things too much.
They were just hanging out. Just… two people… hanging out… alone… who flirt all the time…. And one definitely has a major crush on the other.
Eddie opens the door to the trailer immediately after Steve knocks only a single time. “I heard your car pull up,” he explains as soon as the door is open.
“Been lingering at the door for long?” Steve teases.
“Hours,” Eddie replies dramatically. But there’s a hint of nervous energy that Steve can’t help but pick up on. “Come on in.”
Steve steps inside and is hit with the smell of spaghetti and breadsticks. “Did you make dinner?”
“Nah, I picked it up from Enzo’s,” Eddie says with a smile before closing the door behind him and gesturing to the couch where two plates are laid out. “I thought we could… watch a movie while we ate or… something.”
“Yeah, I’d like that,” Steve replies with a smile, noticing the way his response relieves some of the nervous energy that is consuming Eddie.
“Perfect, right this way madam,” he jokes as he leads Steve to the couch with his hand resting on the dip of his lower back.
Steve sits down and can’t help but ask, “So, what fun fact did you make me wait for?”
Eddie freezes and curses, “Shit, you were supposed to ask that after all of this.”
Steve’s eyebrows furrow. “Why?” He asks nervously.
Eddie fidgets with his rings and mumbles, “Okay, you can do it.” Then, he turns back to Steve and says, “Fun fact… I’ve been dying to ask you out for a while now, and… I was hoping that this could be a date? And further fun fact, I will absolutely shut up forever if I read things wrong, and I’m so sorry if I did. Oh shit. Did I? Because really, I thought-”
“Eddie,” Steve interrupts him quickly, placing a hand over his. “I think it’s finally time that I share a fun fact with you.”
Eddie nods, eyes wide and scared.
“Fun fact,” Steve says and takes a deep breath, “I’m really upset that you beat me to asking you out because I’m a damn chicken. And fun fact, I’ve liked you since I saw you interacting with Dustin for the first time. And you can confirm the fact with Robin who I told while I thought I was on my deathbed.”
Eddie’s expression slowly morphs from fear to relief to happiness. “And that’s really all a fact?”
“Yes. Fun ones I hope.”
“Very very fun,” Eddie says with a laugh. He worries his bottom lip before saying, “Fun fact, I really want to kiss you.”
“Fun fact,” Steve echoes cheesily. “I would love to kiss you.”
And he does exactly that.
(Later on, Steve calls Robin from Eddie’s house and yells, “Fun fact, I just kissed Eddie!” Into the phone so loudly that Robin complains that his “fun fact” is giving her ear damage. But she also lets him know that she’s happy for him, as long as he doesn’t keeps phrasing everything as a fun fact.
Only, Steve can’t help it, when everything involving Eddie becomes the best facts he knows.)

Mascot
Elena's first time getting to be Alexia's mascot.
(a/n: I feel like I'm on such a roll with these lol. Hope you all enjoy! Feel free to send more requests if you have more of Elena you want to see before I settle in to work on my next bigger project I have planned :)
Alexia had gone into the gym to do a few extra exercises after training, just to get a few reps in before the important game the next week. It was El Clásico in Barcelona once again, the day before her birthday in fact. She wanted to be prepared, she wanted to be sharp and focused. She was still coming back from her ACL, she was still yet to get back to the form everyone expected from her.
The mental load was beginning to take a toll on her, and her birthday wasn’t really helping anything. Yet another reminder that she was getting older, that everything would get more complicated as tried to play whilst she aged.
She was so focused on her reps that she doesn’t realize that Elena is standing in front of her until there is a tiny tap on her thigh, and she looks down from the weights she is holding to see that the three year old is peering up at her rather shyly.
“Pequeña! What are you doing here my little love?” Alexia said sweetly, carefully setting the weight down before she sat down, scooping the baby into her arms and smothering her with kisses. The little giggles and laughs that Elena let out relaxed her whole body, and she felt herself smiling more genuinely than she had in days.
“I…um…uh…I had a….a question!” The little girl explained, leaning back slightly as she reached up to shove some of her hair away from her face. It was sort of braided back, but a lot of the baby hairs that framed her face had gotten free, and now flowed freely in the slight breeze through the gym. Alexia followed her little hand with her larger ones, running it soothingly over the little girl’s forehead.
Mapi and Ingrid’s daughter seemed nervous for some reason, and the midfielder furrowed her eyebrows a little bit, wondering what was making the usually outgoing and bubbly little girl so anxious. She looked quite concerned for someone who was only three years old.
“What is it Elena? It is okay, you can tell me,” she promised, her voice gentle. This seemed to settle the green eyed girl for a moment, enough for her to ask her question.
“Walk out with you?” She asked carefully, her words clearly well thought out. Alexia’s eyebrows shot up into her hairline with surprise. Mapi or Ingrid usually never let their daughter walk out with anyone else, and she wasn’t sure if she could say yes.
She hesitated for a moment, knowing what her heart wanted, while also wanting to respect her friends' boundaries.
“PSSSST!”
The blonde turned her head to see that Mapi and Ingrid were peering around the corner, the Norwegian’s head over her wife’s as they leaned into the gym while not wanting to go into the room completely.
Both of the defenders reached their hands up to give thumbs up, citing their clear agreement with the situation. Alexia felt her smile grow as she turned back to Elena, who was looking at her hopefully.
“Yes! I would love for you to walk out with me!” She agreed easily, picking up the little girl and twirling her around, inciting another round of laughter and squeals as she hugged the toddler.
Suddenly the game seemed a little bit more exciting, and a little bit less overwhelming. At the very least, she had something to look forward to.
—
“Where is my baby!” Alexia announced as she all but ran into the changing room, throwing her bag down when she caught sight of Elena.
“Tia!” She cried, running over on her little legs and running directly into the midfielder. The laugh that came out of the Barcelona captain’s mouth was more natural than anything, as she bent down to peel the toddler off of her legs and to lift her up into her arms, dancing her back and forth.
Elena clapped along with the bopping the midfielder was doing, horribly out of rhythm but still joyful all the same.
“Tía, Tía, look at my shirt!” She announced, pulling at the little Barcelona jersey she was wearing. Alexia assumed that it was one of Mapi or Ingrid’s shirts, but when she turned the little girl around it was her name and number plastered on the back.
“You have my shirt! What, do you love me or something?” She teased in an overly exaggerated attempt to hide the emotion that bubbled up inside of her, and when Elena nodded enthusiastically, she tucked the girl into her to give her a big hug. Little arms wrapped their way around her and held her tightly, and she found that her nerves had dissipated for the most part, at least for now.
Elena was passed back to Mapi for a while so that Alexia could get ready, and before she knew it they were getting ready to head out.
Elena was passed back to Alexia, who held her hand very securely as they walked out into the tunnel, preparing to go out onto the field. The little girl was oblivious entirely to Alexia’s nerves, and she babbled about everything and nothing at all to her Tía.
When Elena looked over at the Real Madrid team, she quickly noticed a familiar face in line, and before anyone could stop her she had turned her body entirely, calling out with a force that was rather surprising from a three year old.
“HOLA TÍA MISA!” Elena called out as though Misa was not ten meters from her. Mapi and Ingrid were standing further back in the line, and the Norwegian had to hide her laughter in a cough while the Spaniard smacked her forehead with her palm.
The goalkeeper was known for her focus before matches, and for her stony expressions when she was in the zone, so Alexia looked over almost in panic when Elena called out to her. She wasn’t sure if Misa not responding would make Elena sad or not, and what she was supposed to do with an upset toddler when they walked out for the match.
But to her surprise, Misa’s expression broke at the sound of her name, and her whole body softened as she turned slightly, offering a small wave to Elena, her gloves strapped securely onto her hands.
Elena’s whole face lit up in excitement that Misa remembered her, and she turned back to Alexia with a bright smile on her face.
“That’s Misa!” She explained cheerfully, and Alexia pretended to be surprised, looking up at the Real Madrid goalkeeper, following Elena’s instructions.
The toddler managed to keep them preoccupied until they were ready to walk out, and Alexia held her hand carefully as they made their way out. She had been sure to inform any photographer she could find that she really wanted pictures of walking out with Elena, and she could hear the snap of the shutter as they walked out to get ready.
The crowd roared around them, and as Elena took it in while they lined up, she found herself hiding behind Alexia’s leg a little bit. She was clearly a touch nervous, and found safety in the Barcelona captain.
It was one thing to know her goddaughter and love her, but it felt like another for the little girl to find safety in the midfielder. It had this ability to make her feel such warmth inside, and like suddenly football mattered just a tiny bit less.
The blonde looked down at the little girl, her forehead creasing in concern.
“Are you okay pequeña? It is okay to be scared, I know they are loud. But they are just excited for the game!” Alexia whispered loudly, pretending that she was telling the curly haired little girl a big secret. Elena looked up at her, seemingly holding onto every word she said as she watched her godmother, nodding slightly.
She reached her hands up as soon as Alexia stopped talking, and the Spaniard easily picked her up, popping her onto her hip and adjusting her little jersey down over her stomach with a practiced ease.
“Do you want to wave to the crowd?” The captain asked, and Elena’s smile spread as she reached her hand out, waving at everyone in the stands.
There will be a picture for Alexia to frame, of the toddler with a big smile on her face as she waved at the crowd, while the midfielder laughed at her, gazing down at the little one adoringly.
It’s only after the coin toss, which Elena helps with, that the little girl has to part from Alexia, so that they can play the game. The green eyed girl is passed to Patri, who begins to take her from her fellow midfielder before Elena calls out, causing Alexia’s steps to falter.
“Tía Ale! Tía come back!” Elena all but wails, and for a second the game becomes obsolete to the Spaniard, who instantly turns back at the sound of the little girl’s clear discontent.
“What? What is it?” She replies as she jogs over, and the curly haired girl reaches her hand up to her mouth before she runs over to Alexia, exaggerating a kissing motion off of her mouth and then pressing her hand to the Spaniard’s knee.
“Good luck kiss! Score a goal!” Elena nods her little head at Alexia before she runs after Patri, who scoops her up and jogs them both to the bench so they can start the game.
The Barcelona captain looks down at her knee for a second. The one the toddler had tapped was her bad knee, and even though Elena couldn’t know that, it felt a little symbolic. Her resolve to win strengthens as she sets up to play the match.
—
Elena squirmed in Mapi’s hold as the game wound down, the Spaniard’s daughter knowing full well that it was nearly over. She had been subbed off about twenty minutes prior, and had collected her daughter from Patri to sit together on the bench, but all the little girl wanted today was Alexia it seemed.
“Just one more minute!” Mapi laughed as the little girl let out a big huff, clearly displeased with that answer. She continued to twist and turn until the final whistle blew, and finally the center back released her, allowing the green eyed girl to take off as fast as her little legs would allow it.
Ingrid was standing in between her and Alexia, and she bent down to receive her daughter, only for the little girl to drive by her completely, clearly not in search of her. Mapi, who had been trailing after her, laughed easily at the semi-annoyed look on her wife’s face.
“Gosh, when did we become old news?” The Norwegian shook her head with a slight frown on her lips, but the brunette could tell her wife wasn’t really annoyed, not when they turned to see where their daughter was headed.
Alexia was headed for the little girl just as much as Elena was running to her, and she bent down just as Elena made it to her, so that she could feel the toddler bury herself in her arms as she wound them around her in exchange.
“You did it!” Elena announced happily, because the captain truly had.
Alexia had scored a goal in the 79th minute of the game, and with the very leg where she had received a good luck kiss from the curly haired girl right before the match.
“I did! And it was all thanks to you and your magic kisses, thank you so much!” Alexia gushed happily, pecking kiss after kiss to Elena’s little cheek as she held her tightly. The squeals and giggles released in response were well worth it, and she found herself leaning into the kisses that the curly haired girl offered in response, pressing wet little kisses to her cheek before she nestled herself further into Alexia.
“Love you Tía,” Elena announced as she fisted one of her little hands in Alexia’s kit, and the midfielder was absolutely positive that her heart doubled in size at the words.
“I love you too pequeña, always,” she promised as she pressed another kiss to the top of her head, holding the little girl securely to herself, rocking her back and forth.

I love the idea of Thundercracker and Screamer having civil relationships with their humans and then we have Skywarp
"I think mine might be feral. What are the symptoms of rabies?"
"You're holding it upside down-"
They’re both feral honestly.
Swearing and 18+ below the cut
Stop Talking Pt 2
Skywarp x Reader
• “If you don’t stop that, I’ll stop you,” Skywarp snarls as you scream at him from the far corner of his berth where he’d left you. For such a tiny, fragile thing, you have surprisingly little survival instinct. Just screaming he can understand, but you’d been swearing at him and defiantly screaming demands to be let go since you’d woken up and saw him. You are scared despite the act, though. You must be to have pressed yourself so tightly into the corner as far from him as you can get. The threat combined with thumping his fist on the berth so hard you nearly fall works and you lapse into sullen silence, trembling as you glare up at him.
• It’s like a bad sci-fi movie as you try to keep out of reach of those huge hands, wishing you had actual clothes not just the swimsuit you’d been sun bathing in, because it’s freezing wherever he’s taken you and you’d feel less vulnerable if you weren’t half naked. If big, purple and scary didn’t seem as uncertain as you are, you probably would have just huddled in the corner crying. Instead of cursing him out like you’re too stupid to live. But he’d flinched when you’d screamed the first time upon waking up to him leaning over you and prodding you with a servo. He’d reared back, grimacing. Like the shrill screeching scared him, so you’d leaned into it, because if he’s going to squish you like a bug, he can look you in the eye while he does it. “Go fuck yourself.”
• Not entirely sure what that means, only that it sounds like an insult, he tries to figure out what to do with you. He’d just assumed all humans would be as docile as Star’s had seemed. And that messing with you would be fun. That temper, though. It’s almost cute. You have to realize how small and helpless you are against him, but you still refuse to back down. Refuse to submit, even as it spreads through him with the temptation to prod at you just to watch you lash out. “If I were your size, I’d be a bit more respectful.”
• That tone is almost teasing, definitely mocking as you flip him off. “And if I were your size, I wouldn’t be a huge, kidnapping dick.” Apparently Skywarp, as he’d told you to call him, doesn’t know that word either. The gist, though? You almost laugh when he very slowly flips you off right back. “I hope the military nukes your ass,” you taunt, surprised when he grins crookedly at you. Not getting angry, but seeming amused instead. Because apparently, he’s as dysfunctional as you are. Enjoying snarling right back at you.
• “I hope you get caught in the crossfire,” he snarls, struggling against a grin. Because you aren’t scared or at the very least you’re pretending not to be. Refusing to take any attitude from him and how long has it been since he had someone to argue and pick at? Thundercracker had never cared for squabbling with him, but Starscream had before he’d become obsessed with power and climbing higher. Leaning into your space, you crane your neck to keep glaring at him. Standing your ground. And he freezes as his spark flares, heat rushing through him in a flush of hunger at that defiance. His spike stirring because of a stubborn, little organic with a mouth. Shocking him into shoving back, away from you and that deviant urge. Because something is very wrong with him.

on the flip side (twst bully!au) part 4
sorry this didn't get out sooner; my sleep issues are really upset (might be daylight savings?) and i spent most of the past few days feeling like a zombie. i'm better now though! it's also a bit shorter than i'd like, but i didn't want to leave you guys hanging. also two fics? in one day?? crazy!
part 1 part 2 part 3 genre: gn reader, angst trigger warnings: bullying, yandere has officially escalated word count: 897
“Child of man,” Malleus said. Even his voice felt suffocating. “Lilia has informed me that some… pests have been bothering you as of late.” He must mean the others. Did he really not know? Well, you supposed it wasn’t too farfetched, since he didn’t have any friends and everyone was afraid of him, especially after his Overblot. “You need only have let me know and I would have… taken care of them. But worry not. You’ll be safe here, where no one would dare to harm you.”
Oh no. Oh no no no. It was finally happening. Malleus had lost his mind. It felt a little nice, you’d admit, knowing that at least one person still cared for you. But that didn’t mean you could accept being trapped here for who knows how long. You still had to take care of Grim and attend classes. Not to mention you hated feeling trapped.
You knew you couldn’t count on anyone to save you. Lilia was the only one who might be able to make him see reason, but he seemed to be fully complicit in the matter. The dorm leaders might be somewhat capable if they worked together, but they’d have no motive for that, other than to torment you further.
Getting angry and yelling wouldn’t solve anything here. You had to be smart about it. “Tsunotarou, I can’t stay here. You know that,” you reasoned. “I have responsibilities to take care of. Besides, wouldn’t you grow tired of me? Everyone else did, after all.” You surprised yourself with how true your sentiments were. Maybe you harbored more negative feelings about all of this than you’d realized.
Naturally you were pissed that everyone turned on you, but you’d never really stopped to think about how lonely you’d been. Even your professors would hardly give you the time of day. You didn’t even know what you possibly could’ve done to set them off. Grim and the ghosts were the only ones whose attitudes never changed; but it wasn’t the same.
Malleus was pouting; there was simply no other way to describe the look on his face. “Surely you don’t mean that; not after everything they’ve done,” he quipped. Was he serious? In what way did he think you’d enjoy being trapped inside one tiny room for who knows how long?
“Yes. I do. And I don’t appreciate you taking away my freedom like this. If you really cared about me, you’d respect my wishes.” You hoped appealing to his emotions would work, no, you needed it to work. If it didn’t, you weren’t sure how long your sanity would last.
“I do care about you, Child of Man,” he objected. “Can’t you see that’s why I’m doing this? It isn’t safe out there. You’ll get hurt by those vile beings you once called friends.” He spat out that last word, like they were undeserving of the title. You didn’t know how to feel about that.
There was one thing you did know, however: this man was delusional. He’d gone paranoid with worries for your safety, even though he knew nothing just hours ago and was fine. He’d always been a little possessive, you’d noticed, but you’d brushed it off as him being afraid of losing his one and only friend. Now this? This was a whole new level.
Ah, but then you remembered. Malleus knew about most of the bullying, but not all of it. You doubted Lilia would’ve tattled on his own dorm members. You smiled, catching him off guard. “But am I any safer in here? I bet you don’t know, after all. You don’t know how Sebek would beat me in the halls, how Silver watches me everywhere I go. It’s creepy; I don’t like it. And I’m sure Lilia didn’t tell you how he tries to poison me with his cooking,” you listed calmly, as if you were having an ordinary conversation.
“They WHAT?!” Malleus shouted. “LILIA! SILVER! SEBEK! GET OVER HERE THIS INSTANT!” You flinched; he was usually so calm, you didn’t expect him to suddenly yell like that. It was good that he believed you, not that you were lying. You didn’t have a backup plan.
As the unfortunate trio entered the room, you made your way over to the door. You thought you’d managed to slip out unnoticed, but Lilia shot you a wink. Did that mean he’d keep his mouth shut about your escape? You could only hope.
You ran through the halls, Malleus’s shouting covering up the sounds of your footfalls. You knew this place like the back of your hand, so you weren’t at risk of getting lost. The only question was how long the lecture would last. If you were lucky, Lilia would buy you some time, but you wouldn’t count on it.
And then, at last, you were safe, on the other side of the portal. You were totally winded, after having had the run of your life. Everything seemed great, but then you heard a voice.
“Oya? What do we have here? What were you doing in Diasomnia, prefect?” Jade asked with a definitely fake smile like he didn’t know exactly what you were doing in Diasomnia. Oh, great. Azul was with him too. How… lovely. Staying with Malleus was starting to sound like it wasn’t so bad after all. No, nevermind. It was definitely worse.

Stu Macher smut where readers a little bit sassy yk? And Stu gets a little upsetty which leads to smut (Sorry I suck at this idk I’m nervous)
Aww sweet anon don't be nervous! I like the idea! I hope you like what I did with this!
Warnings: Smut! 18+ MDNI! oral (male receiving), p in v sex, facial, name calling, swearing, tiny bit of angst(reader is overthinking), stu calls reader sweetheart. And good girl but only twice. Thigh riding. I think that's it.
Pairing: Stu Macher x fem!reader
Accept my apology?
It was exam season at university. So of course you were busy studying as well. Most people understood when you blew them off because you wanted to pass. The only person who didn't seem understand was your boyfriend Stu. He was done with his exams already. Now he was bored and you were not nearly paying enough attention to him. In his opinion of course. You've already spend the whole last day with him, giving him all your attention.
He has been annoying you for a couple hours now and your patience has been running thin.
"Come on Babe I'm bored as hell. Why can't you put your stupid notes away for a while and we can do something fun." As he said this he wiggled his eyebrows.
You were so done with his bullshit but still you continued. That was until Stu had enough and grabbed your flashcards.
"HEY!" You were not amused at all, other than Stu, who was grinning ear to ear.
"Give them back Stu!" You were tired and stressed.
"Mh what do I get if I give them back?" His pointerfinger was at his chin pretending to think.
"My gosh Stu can you for once act like an adult? This exam is importsnt for me and you are ruining everything because what? You are bored? Newsflash! You are not five years old! There are plenty of other things that you could be doing right now instead of keeping me from studying!" After your little rant Stu's eyes hardened, so you won't see the hurt in them. He threw your cards on the ground and left your dorm without another word.
With a sigh you knelt down to collect your cards. Were you too harsh? But he never respected your boundaries. And this exam was important.
Later that night after you were finished with studying and after taking a nice relaxing shower, you tried calling Stu. But he never picked up. After the third time you grew a little worried. Have you hurt his feelings? After trying for the fifth time you gave up and went to bed. You had to apologise tomorrow somehow.
That is why you ended up in front of Stu's door. A Pizza in hand as a form of apology. Your exam went well, you realised afterwards now how rude and mean you were to Stu. He didn't deserve that.
You kept knocking at his door without an answer. With a sigh you sat down next to his door. If he was there he had to come out at one point right? And if he wasn't, well at least he would see you when he decided to come home. You looked at your clock. It was 14:30. Another sigh left your lips. The guilt for treating him the way you did, eating away at you. Your mind going to all different kind of places. Thinking that he will be grumpy for a few more days, to even worse scenarios, like what if he wants to break up with you now? You don't know how you would handle that. He is the love of your life, and you thought for him it was the same with you. What if you were wrong? What if he was with another girl right this moment because for him this relationship was already over?
Your mind kept spiraling. An hour after you showed up here you almost gave up hope. Standing up and taking the now cold pizza you turned to leave. Stu came around the corner right this moment. He was a little startled to see you here.
Without thinking much, you threw yourself at him, pizza box almost smacking Stu in the face.
"Whoa there sweetheart, I am happy to see you too." Stu chuckled a little, but he was confused.
"You didn't pick up your phone, so I thought you were still mad at me for yesterday...And then my mind kept thinking of how this might be the reason you are breaking up with me..." You mumbled into his neck, standing on your tiptoes because he was unbelievably tall.
"Why the hell would I break up with you over something silly liken that? Sure I was upset, because you can be really mean you know that? I am a sensitive guy after all." That made you giggle a little. He might say this as a joke but deep down he could be sensitive even if you were the only person seeing that side of him. Made it all the more special.
"Don't know, you know how my mind can get."
"Fuck yeah I do. You are way too far in your own head sometimes, sweetheart." He tapped his pointer finger against your head for emphasis.
"I was actually hoping to make it up to you." Your breath was tickling the skin of his neck and you could feel goosebumps raising on his soft skin.
"Oh yeah how were you planning on doing that?" His voice took on a different tone, deeper, raunchier. And not more than a whisper, making excitement bubble up inside of you.
"I am taking you like my ways of apologising?" Looking at him still grinning.
He closed the door behind him caging you against it. "Fuck yes I do. Especially the part about the Pizza." He gave you a cheeky grin.
You playfully rolled your eyes at him. But before you could say anything he leaned down and kissed you passionarely. Letting out a satisfied hum against his lips you pulled him closer. Your lips melted together in perfect sync. He tasted faintly of sweets, chocolate. You couldn't have him close enough to you. Not even a sheet of paper would fit between the two of you right now.
Stu bit and nipped at your bottom lip, it was almost painful, but you knew that he liked drawing blood from time to time. Heck he always eats you out when you're on your period too. It helps with the pain.
Parting your lips you let his tongue into your mouth. Your tongues dancing together, a bit of spit drooling out. Again Stu likes it messy.
He began rutting into you as the kiss progressed. Panting against each others lips.
You could feel him hardening against you, and with a little more effort you pushed him away a little bit.
His eyes were hooded over with lust, pupils blown wide. His cheeks had a nice rosy colour and his lips were swollen from the kiss. You were certain you didn't look much different.
Moving him around so he was pushed against the door now you dropped to your knees, before he could pull you in for another kiss. You opened his pants and pulled them down to his ankles. You could see the outline of his cock in his briefs. Yourn mouth began to water and you gave the tip a kiss through his boxer briefs. Stu let out a shaky breath above you. Smiling to yourself you began to mouth at his cock through his boxers. You were fairly enjoying yourself. The anticipation of having the real thing in your mouth soon, making wetness pool between your legs.
It wasn't often that you could tease Stu like this, so you were thrilled he let you go on this long. His whole boxer was wet now where his cock was. Deciding that you did a good enough job in riling him up now, you pulled his boxers down, his cock springing free. Stu hissed a little as the cold air if the room hit his heated up dick. But he didn't have to complain, because your mouth was wrapped around him in seconds. Normally you'd love to admire his pretty cock. How it is shaped slightly upwards, how deep pink his tip got and the precum leaking out of it, the vein that was running along his whole shaft. Truly you loved whorshipping his cock.
You knew Stu says the same thing about your pussy. 69 a favourite position of yours. But right now you could do as you pleased with him. And you were just as eager to get him inside of your mouth as he was being inside of it.
Everything about him was big, so his dick wasn't the exception. You always needed your time to take him into your mouth, but you were so eager that you almost didn't care, pushing your limits a little. He still wasn't completely in. That would be sheer impossible, but with the speed you took him in right now, it leaves Stu breathless. His head dropping against the door as he let out a string of courses. His fingers weaved into your hair. Letting out a satisfied hum at the salty taste on your tongue you began to work your magic. Bobbing your had up and down, jerking him off with your hands on the part that you couldn't fit into your mouth.
Stu was not disappointed. You were really making this messy. He could already see drool running out of your mouth, the sounds you were making only added to his aroused state. Gargling and gagging when you went a little too far. But again you were eager.
Sucking at the sensitive tip from time to time too, which you knew always drove him wild.
"Fuck aren't you the best girlfriend ever? Look at you? So eager to suck my cock. Fuck you look so good. You always do. But right now? There isn't a better place for you."
You keened at his praise. Another thing about Stu? He could never shut up. Not even during sex. One time he really tried to have a whole conversation with you, while he was railing you over the couch.
You kept moving your head, relaxing your throat to take more and more of him. Tears were running down cheeks, mixed with make up. You had him almost down completely but you knew you were at your limit. More spit kept drooling out of your mouth as you kept going. Stu's grip on your hair turned harder and with a push forward you had his entire length inside of your mouth. Your eyes widen and you looked up at him. More tears streamed down your face.
"Fuck yes. Look at you. Looking like my personal whore. Fuck college, you should do this professional just for me." Your cheeks warmed at that. "And then you wouldn't have to snap at me that I am behaving like a child. Humiliated by my own girlfriend. You know that is unacceptable."
With that he kept thrusting his entire length inside of you. You were gagging and crying but honestly? Your panties were drenched by the way he was talking to you and treating you. Holding onto his thighs for dear life. He was really enjoying yourself.
"What would your professors think if they saw their good little student like this? I know you are best in your classes. Surely they would expect you to be such a whore for your boyfriend." His voice was so deep and sounding strained, turning you on moreHe was reaching so deep, you were sure your throat would be sore for a few days, but it was so worth it. Your cheeks burned in shame. But it came from a place of arousal.
You knew he was getting close, you could feel him pulsing. Looking up at him he quickly pulled out of you. Your mouth opened on instinct and you helped him jerk himself to finish over you. The first spurts of his cum hit your face and you closed your eyes. Deep groans came from Stu as he gave you every last drop.
Once he was finished he kept looking at you. The thing why he loves cumming on your face is because it makes you look like his. Sure he knows you are his, but there is a primal part in his brain that wants to claim you like this. Mark you as his, so that any other male or female knows you belong to him.
Opening your eyes carefully you looked up at him with big eyes. Stu's eyes haven't lost their hunger. Quite the contray, they looked even more intense now.
Not breaking eye contact, you lifted your hand to scoop some of his cum from your face and put it in your mouth to suck it off. Another deep groan escaped Stu as he saw you doing this and fully enjoying yourself. Again another primal part of his brain getting pleased. He kicked his pants and boxers off and took of his shirt.
He gripped your arms after you sucked the third scoop off of your finger, lifting you to your feet. You were a little wobbly, your knees hurting from the hard wooden floor.
"Not even the Mona Lisa looks as pretty as you now." Stu rasped, making you blush even more. He dragged you over to the couch and sat down on it.
"Bring me something to drink, would ya?"His legs spread wide you got a little distracted by him.
"Sweetheart you know I don't like asking twice." With big eyes you scambled to the kitchen, knees still weak. You returned with a glass of water and a beer, as you didn't know what exactly he wanted. Returning, you saw he got really comfortable on the sofa. Upon seeing the two drinks in your hands, and the fact that you haven't cleaned yourself off he gave you a genuine smile.
"Aren't you a good fucking girl?" He took the water and chucked it down, opening the beer afterwards. "Here is how it's going to go sweetheart. You are going to ride my thigh until you cum, then I am gonna fuck that disrespectful attitude right outta ya. Understood?" You nodded quickly.
"Good. Now undress for me. Slowly. I wanna enjoy myself."
Who were you to decline him. Removing your shoes and socks first to have them out of the way. You lifted your shirt, slowly of couse, revealing more and more skin to Stu, who was watching you like a hawk. He let out a groan as he saw you were wearing his favourite bra of yours. You gave him a happy smile, glad that he appreciates it. Then you turned around, shimmying out of your pants, bending down, giving Stu a nice view of your ass. You heard a breathy "fuck" as he noticed you were wearing the matching pair of panties to your bra.
Slowly, with your back still facing him you unclipped your bra and took it off. Cupping your boobs with your hands you slowly turned around.
"Come on show them to me." His voice was demanding and he took a swig of his beer. Slowly you peeled your hands off of them. Stu's eyes immediately dropping to them. Your nipples standing proud and internally he was dying to wrap his lips around them. But that would have to wait. You still had to remove one item.
As you took of your panties, Stu could see a string of your arousal connected to them. There was actually a big patch visible on them that Stu hasn't noticed, because he was distracted by your tits.
Still feeling confident, you threw your pantis at him. Stu took them. Then he did something you wasn't expecting. He actually sniffed them. Biting your lip, you could feel your pussy clench. Your eyes widen as you saw him licking the wet patch of your panties. His eyes closing and him groaning, like he just tasted the best thing in the whole world, which to him was the case. He kept doing this a few times and you were growing wetter by the second.
Stu threw your panties to the side and patted his thigh, signaling for you to come over and start.
You scrambled over to him and took your seat on his thigh. You could feel the muscles underneath it.
"Don't be shy. Start. Show me how desperate you are to cum for me."
Slowly you started to moved your hips against his thigh. It took you a little to find a good angle that was catching your clit, giving you some much needed friction. You let out breathy moans, closing your eyes and getting lost in the feeling. Stu gave your thighs a soft slap. "Keep your eyes open. I want to see the desperation grow in them." Nodding you complied even if it was hard.
You started to grind harder on him, quickening your pace. Sucking Stu off has already riled you up so much, you just wanted to cum at this point.
"You really are a whore huh? Making a mess on my thigh. Look at you. So needy." Stu flexed his thigh and it catched your clit in a way that made you dizzy. Your pace became erratic, your legs were burning at this point. You needed to cum so bad, you wanted to gush all over his thigh. Stu took another swig of his beer, watching how your eyebrows creased together. He knew you were close. Another swig and he put the beer away, gripping your hips to make you halt.
You looked at him confused and flushed.
"Change of plans sweetheart. The only way you deserve to cum and make it up to me is on my cock." You nodded dumbly, your mind already fuzzy from how close you were. Standing up again you almost drop to the floor, but Stu held you firmly, helping you take your seat in his lap. You could feel his hard cock pressing against you. With as much strength as you could muster you lifted yourself up a little, gripped Stu's length and sank down on him.
Your mind was reeling at finally being full of him. It was quite the stretch, but you were so wet he easily slipped in. Stu let out a dark moan. Your warmth enveloping him completely.
"You take me so well all the time sweetheart! Fuck. Swear this pussy was made for me." You only mustered a nod, already fucked out. Stu began to thrust up into you, making you fall forward onto his chest. Whimpering as he drilled into your pussy. He was determined to fuck the attitude out of you just like he promised.
You were holding on for dear life as he didn't let up. Your pussy juice coating the both of you. Stu pulled your face up to give you a heated kiss, that you couldn't hold for long as you desperately needed the oxygen. Stu grinned at that. Your face was still covered in his cum.
"God I should take a picture of you like this. So I always know what a good little whore you are for me when you piss me off." You could only moan in response.
"Need a whole stack of them, cause I sure as hell would ruin them just like I am ruining you right now huh?" Gosh he really wasn't shutting up ever. But you couldn't really focus on anything he was saying. The only thing you could concentrate on was how he was stretching you out, his tip hitting your Gspot every single thrust. You were seeing stars at this point.
Your release came without much of a warning. It came crushing through you and you were a moaning babbling mess, feeling yourself clench around Stu hard.
"Fuck that's it sweetheart look at you. What a sight!" Your ears were ringing and Stu still kept thrusting into you.
Lucky for you and your poor abused pussy, Stu didn't take that much longer before he came inside of you with a deep thrust. He kept grunting for you to "take everything I give you." And you didn't have much of a choice than to oblige. Not that you wanted to.
The both of you were sweaty and Stu moved you both so that you were lying on top of him on the couch fully now. Panting, you could listen to his heartbeat which helped you calm down slowly.
"You're amazing. You know that?" Stu's voice was rapsy. You lifted your head to look at him, giving him a soft grin. "Oh I know." He chuckled and gave you a big kiss. You hummed. Enjoying the post orgasmic bliss and cuddling for a while was one of your favourite parts. Stu drew patterns on your skin.
Then after a while, it was getting cold by now, he slipped out of you, making you whine. He sat you onto the couch, drapping the blanket he had here, thanks to you, over you so you could cover yourself up. He went to the bathroom and emerged, with new boxers on and a wash cloth. Sitting down next to you he started to clean off your face.
"Almost a shame cleaning it up..." He mumbled and you softly pushed against his shoulder, making him let out a soft laugh.
After he was done you stood up and waddled to the bathroom yourself. When you came back to him you put the blanket down, as you now wore one of Stu's favourite shirts. And it was only his favourite because you looked so good wearing it all the time.
Stu patted next to him and you plopped down. He gave you a glas of water which you eagerly took and drank. You really needed it. He turned on the TV and pulled the pizza onto his lap. Opening the box, the pizza inside gone cold a long time ago. But neither of you cared as you ate and enjoyed whatever it was that was on TV. Neither of you keeping attention to it really as you kept talking about your days. Stu asked you how your exam went. Everything was forgiven by now. And if this was the outcome? Maybe you should piss him of more times now.

Could we get a part 2 of Birds of a Feather?
Oh yeah of course! Can never have too much parental g/t! Decided to have a sick tiny because why not? (Also fluff) so I hope you like it! And I’m so sorry that it took so long to answer- I re-wrote this too many times to count but figured this was the best one!
Word Count: 3.6k
Cw: None!
Birds of a Feather (2)
It had only been a week since Gabriel found out about Lizzie and I. I would say that it’s been interesting. Lizzie goes out more often, and it seems like the house isn’t as quiet anymore. It did kind of help with the anxiety a little bit. I never really liked the silence. Just meant that I couldn’t tell where humans would be.
Now? When Gabriel is home Lizzie always tries to bother him with questions and if she could be held or picked up. She was still just a kid but I didn’t trust Gabriel. That’s why anytime he gave us food I still checked it for poison even though some part of me doubted that he would poison us. What were the chances of that ever happening? I also will never let him hold me. Never. Not even touch me. I always just ran away, hid, or grabbed my needle as fast as I could. That didn’t mean he stopped trying or asking, though he did say he would respect my personal space. It’s just… how was I supposed to trust a human after hiding from them my entire life? It didn’t seem easy to just blindly trust one after all of this time. Sure, he gives us food and all of that, but that doesn’t mean I’d just put my life in his hands! Literally!
Today was a snowy day. It was cold in the house, meaning that the walls were even colder. Normally I would have just borrowed some cloth, but since Gabriel knew about us I couldn’t do that. I was too afraid he’d just be mad. There was no telling what he would do to me! I shuddered just at the thought. As long as it’s not my sister…
Lizzie couldn’t wait for Gabriel to wake up so she could go with him. She always tried to convince me to get out. To really do anything now that we were free to walk around without the fear of being noticed, but again, she didn’t know how terrifying it was to now be out in the open. How could she know? She was too young to ever go out borrowing so she didn’t know how scary it was. Though I should probably teach her sometime soon. Not today though. I felt sick all over. My head felt hot, I was coughing, my body felt weak, I could barely keep my eyes open. I haven’t been this sick in a few years.
I still forced myself to go out and borrow a few things. Like at least try to get a few more “blankets” for us. Lizzie said she would ask but I told her no. I can take care of us on my own. I don’t need help from a human. Even if it hurts just to move.
Lizzie hadn’t caught on that I was sick, or at least I think she hasn’t, which was good because then she would’ve definitely told Gabriel. The last thing I needed was for him to find out. Who knows what he might do? He might take his chance to finally kill me, or even just get rid of the both of us now that I could barely move. Not like he could do that already though.
I cautiously watched as Lizzie ran over to the living room, where Gabriel was. Lizzie never seemed to be scared for some reason. What goes through her mind when she’s “playing” with him? Gabriel too! I was surprised that he hasn’t hurt her. Not even once. The entire situation was strange to me, but as I watched from afar, I kind of found myself wanting the same attention that Lizzie had. Gabriel actually seemed happy that she came to keep him company instead of annoyed. Every story I heard with humans always ended up with us dying, but this? It was entirely new. Even if Gabriel seemed like a murderer and was so intimidating, he hadn’t done anything to hurt either of us. It was so much more different here, and I had no idea why Gabriel was different, not that I was complaining. It actually made my borrowing trips easier. He left cabinets slightly open for me, left food out in case whatever he gave us wasn’t enough, or if we didn’t like it. Everything was so much easier, but I didn’t want to entirely rely on him for help. I can take care of both of us. I have been for a while now so what’s a few more years?
I gripped the hook in my hand, weakly limping over to the side of the counter. I was craving crackers for some odd reason, and there was no way in heck that I was going to ask Gabriel to get me it. No matter how sick and weak I felt. I threw my hook up onto the side of the counter, my muscles already feeling strained. I know you’re supposed to rest when you’re sick, but I couldn't. I have my sister to care for and right now my main focus is getting something to keep her warm and maybe those crackers that I was craving. She was already complaining last night that it was cold and I couldn’t do anything about it at the time.
With a few tugs to make sure that it was secure, I started climbing, my muscles straining under the pressure and my head spinning a little bit. When I reached the top, I took a few seconds to catch my breath. I rested a hand over my burning forehead. Of course I had a fever. A bad one by the looks of it. My eyes didn’t even want to stay open anymore. I didn’t know how I would get back down, but I’ll figure it out when I get there.
I sniffled, rubbing my eyes before walking around the counter in search of an unused piece of cloth or just something until I could find an actual blanket. I would kill for a nap right now, but maybe whenever I get back. That seemed like the safer decision. This sickness will pass eventually. I just felt absolutely horrible right now.
There wasn’t much to be offered on the counter today. Except for the extremely tempting crackers that were sitting in a basket like usual. Since Gabriel was home, I had to be extra quiet, but I could already tell that the plastic would give me a hard time. Just another borrowing trip… it’s not like you haven’t borrowed from him before. Of course I did get caught and the events that happened afterwards left me in complete shock, but that wouldn’t happen again. Hopefully. Maybe.
I trudged over to the basket, struggling to pull one that was hanging off the side. I looked over to see that Gabriel was still busy entertaining my sister. I should have plenty of time to get this, right? Obviously he would know that it was me who stole it but I just had to keep thinking that he wouldn’t do anything to me. I mean, he probably does care about Lizzie more than me. Since she actually spends time with him… But I just can’t see how. He’s not our parent, and I couldn’t just accept the fact that he’s actually helping us. There has to be some trick right? He’s just building up to gain our trust and make our lives more miserable. Well I wasn’t going to let that happen.
As I started to take out some pieces, feeling selfish for not being able to find something for Lizzie but I was hungry. I didn’t bother to eat last night since I had already felt bad before this morning, but I wasn’t expecting to feel so weak and sick when I woke up. I just sighed, coughing a little bit before sitting down and still struggling to take out a piece of the peanut butter crackers I usually don’t like to eat.
Suddenly I heard someone getting up, and out of my instincts, I hurried to take out a piece and hid behind the basket, clutching the cracker to my chest and having trouble breathing. My head already felt dizzy and my arms weak but I could get out of this just fine, right? I could barely keep myself on my feet for any longer but it was only a few more minutes until I could go home. I could just use my hook to.. My hook. Where was it? I glanced back at where I came from and there it was, still hanging on the side of the counter. Panic surged through me as I stepped to go and grab it, but it was already too late.
A shadow loomed overhead, observing my hook and turning directly towards the crackers I was stealing. He was going to get so mad at me. I was going to die. Where was Lizzie then if he was coming over here? I hadn’t heard for a while. Did he already… No. He wouldn’t, right? There was no way. I winced at the thoughts, struggling to stay as quiet as possible.
“...Andrew? Is that you little guy?” I didn’t even have enough energy to be angry at the new nickname. But I was more mortified by the fact that he already knew it was me. Of course he did. I was the only one who could’ve been climbing up here if he was with Lizzie, not that she even knew how to climb yet.
I sucked in a shaky breath, almost tripping over my own two feet when I came out of my hiding spot. I had no idea what he would do if I didn’t listen. I was trembling and tried to hide it but of course I did a terrible job at that. I looked down at my hands, quickly hiding the piece of food that I stole behind my back. I closed my eyes shut and hung my head in hopes that he wouldn’t hurt me. That all he would do is take my food away. I’d just have to try and find something else to eat then, but the fear crept slowly throughout my body.
“Are you okay? You look sick, kid.” He asked concernedly to my surprise, not even acknowledging the fact that I was very obviously borrowing things from him. I didn’t feel okay actually. Everything in my body just felt off. I could think straight but not at the same time? I somehow felt cold and hot all over and had coughing fits every now and then. I don’t think that’s okay but there was no way I’d be admitting that.
I nodded my head, getting a little light-headed from the simple movement. He quirked an eyebrow up like he didn’t believe me and sighed, leaning against the counter. I took a few shaky steps back, eyes wide and ready for whatever punishment I was about to receive, “So you’re up here taking my food again?” A slight smile on his face but I just jumped and held out the piece I was hiding, “I-I’ll put it b-back. I’m sorry.” I apologized.
I had expected him to say yes to putting it back, but to my shock he just shook his head, “No, you can have the entire thing if you want.” He started, moving the package closer to me. I flinched a little, cursing myself for showing that I was scared. Of course he already knew that though with how I reacted to him noticing that I was taking some food. Nothing would happen though, right? He’d just leave me alone now and go back to my sister, right? Just grab whatever he needed from here, and leave me the heck alone. I was practically pleading for that outcome at this point.
Gabriel studied me for a bit longer, a suspicious look on his face, “Are you lying about not being sick kid?” He asked again. Could I even lie to a person like him? If I said yes, who knows what would happen? It was hard to tell if it would be a good or bad outcome. I couldn’t tell. I sucked in a sharp breath, nearly coughing from the air hitting the back of my throat. If I said no he’d just keep asking, but all I’d have to do was escape by then, right? I would feel better in a few days anyways. Maybe.
I shook my head, trying to calm my racing heart as he lifted himself off of his arms. I nervously started messing with my hands, trying not to show him just how terrifying he was looming over me. Everything just seemed so much more terrifying when you’re sick for some reason. I felt smaller, more insecure, vulnerable under his gaze.
“You’re a terrible liar.” He sighed, hand slowly reaching for me. I didn’t even register that he was going to grab me before his fingers were nearly halfway wrapped around my skinny frame. I scrambled backwards, tripping over my own two hands several times while trying to grab my needle, but of course I forgot to grab it before I went borrowing. Great going me! Before I could get up and run, I was picked up in a fist. I kicked and pushed at the fingers, struggling so much and already feeling tired after just a tiny bit. I hate being sick. I was too weak to get myself out of this situation, I forgot my only weapon, and the worst part about this is that I quite literally sank into the warmth his hand provided. I mean, this was just because I was sick, right? I wouldn’t have done this if I were in my right mind. No way. I would’ve fought back and climbed back down to the safety of my cold… lonely home.
I pushed and kicked as much as I could, trying my hardest not to stay comfy even though my eyes felt so heavy and my body was warmed up within seconds, “Let me go!” Tears started forming in my eyes, trying not to think about what could happen to me. Before I could kick away his fingers one last time, his thumb gently, yet firmly, was placed over my face. That’s all it took. Just one simple movement. I could be dead right now. I started crying softly, barely hearing the words that came out of his mouth, “Calm down little guy. You’re gonna make yourself even more sick.” And I obeyed. He practically already threatened me, and it’s not like I could speak either. I hated the new nickname, I hated being this helpless, and I hated just how much I wanted him to keep me in his hands so I could be warm. No! That’s so stupid. Why would I want that? It’s just the sickness talking…
Soon enough we were moving, his thumb moved away from my face as I stared up at him with wide eyes, red and puffy from the tears that were still falling. I tried to wipe them away as much as I could until I felt myself being moved. I was no longer in a fist and I wasn’t moving anymore. I staggered backwards as much as I could before hitting his fingers and flinching, covering my head with my arms, “I-I’m s-s-sorry.” My voice barely came out as a whisper, and I doubt Gabriel even heard it.
“Kid, I'm just trying to help you feel better. Here.” He handed me one of the crackers I was going to eat. I looked up, feeling a little too weak after all of that adrenaline to even move. It felt like my head was throbbing and my muscles screamed to stop moving. And honestly, after all of this, I wasn’t even hungry anymore despite the fact that I haven’t eaten for some time. I shook my head, getting light headed once again. Everything in my body begged me to just lay down and close my eyes, but there was no way that I would be doing that. I’m not trusting him even for one bit. Lizzie might- Wait. Lizzie?
My eyes searched frantically for her, the extra adrenaline making it possible to move my limbs again as I looked over his hand, spotting her lying underneath a piece of cloth and asleep. She… fell asleep? Around him? Did she really trust him that much? Well, I guess it made sense. She’s spent more time with him than I have, but I still think that all of this is just a trick… Oh who am I kidding? He’s genuinely a nice person. I’m so sick and tired of always being on edge and barely being able to stay alive. I’m tired of struggling just to get basic living needs. Gabriel was offering all of that and so much more and I can’t just accept the fact that he’s just trying to help, no matter how afraid I was, I think I would just have to trust him in this. That none of this was a trick and that he’s genuinely trying to help us stay alive.
“You have to eat something. You’re not going to get better otherwise.” He gestured to the food again. I shook my head again, wincing and holding my head from the throbbing pain. I nearly fell over hadn’t his fingers been there to support me. His eyes softened, slowly bringing me closer to him, but at this point I could care less. I felt so much worse than before even climbing up onto the countertop. To know all of this would happen in just one week. Getting found, then getting sick and being forced to be taken care of by a human. I didn’t even have enough energy to care anymore.
“Okay, I’ll be right back, stay there.” He ordered before tilting his hand slowly onto the couch. I let out a yelp of surprise before hitting the cushiony surface right next to Lizzie. Stay here? Where was he going? Was he going to leave me alone? Just abandon me? I couldn’t stop the tears that formed. What did I care if he left me? I would be just fine on my own… Right? I could barely even move my limbs anymore from thinking I could just go borrow with barely any problems. Turns out all I ended up facing were problems. I didn’t want to be left alone either.
I turned back to my sister, wiping away the loose tears as I heard Gabriel coming back. For some odd reason I was actually happy that he came back, though I couldn’t help but struggle to move myself backwards. He just stared at me a little shocked, “I had really expected you to try and escape.” He sighed, slowly sitting back down and moving something in his hands. It looked to be some sort of cloth, though what could he need it for?
“Well here, if you’re not going to eat then you could get some rest. I’m sure you're exhausted if you can barely even hold yourself up.” He dumped the cloth in front of me. For… me? I cautiously reached out, pulling the soft piece towards me. So warm… I snuggled close, but didn’t lay down. I could stay up… I didn’t need sleep. I needed to go home and rest. Even if it would be so much colder there than staying out here.
Gabriel sighed, his hands covering his face like he was frustrated with me, “If you needed help why not come to me?” I scrambled backwards, pulling the cloth over my entire body. Was he mad at me for it? Was he going to hurt me because I didn’t ask for help? My chest tightened at the thoughts, closing my eyes shut as I waited to be lifted off from the ground in one sweep, but when it didn’t come I sheepishly peeked my head out.
“I didn’t mean to sound so angry, I promise I’m not,” He started, sighing, “Listen, you’re what? Thirteen, fourteen? You’re just a kid. You should be having fun and playing with your little sister. Not struggling to survive and get food everyday.” His eyes softened, turning towards me. I bit the bottom of my lip. But how else was I supposed to live? My sister and I would’ve died countless times had I not been the one struggling. Heck, there were even times when I thought I wouldn’t make it. Getting caught in a spider web, nearly getting trapped in a rat trap, tangled on my rope. I had to grow up if I was going to live. It’s not like I wanted to.
“I-I had to if I was going to live. I d-didn’t want to die.” I looked down, hoping that he would get it. I wonder what life would’ve been like if our parents hadn’t died. They would’ve taught me so many more things before I was so abruptly forced to go borrowing. I could’ve still been a kid, maybe just barely moving out, but at least I’d know what I was doing! I’m terrible at borrowing!
Gabriel nodded his head, “That’s understandable,” He turned his head and smiled down at me, “Now just get some rest. I’ll take care of you and your sister, don’t worry about it.” I nodded my head, wrapping the blanket even more around me as I coughed, groaning from how scratchy my throat felt. I forced myself to lay down, wincing from the simple movements.
I really didn’t have any other choice. I was too tired to stay awake, too weak to move, too sick to do anything but hope that I was trusting the right person. He would take care of us. I wouldn’t have to fight for survival anymore. I could actually be happy again. That was all I could really ask for. ——————

Hi! So when I was looking at the established buddy names I saw under nightlight's fan fact she is afraid of moths. So I was wondering how she get that fear?
Originally, I thought about giving Nightlight a fear of bats, but ended up choosing moths in the ned.
Hope you enjoy!
Nightlight and Moths
SFW, Platonic, Slight Angst, Fear of Moths, Cybertronian reader
TFA
Nightlight thought she was familiar with the wildlife on Earth, at least in Detroit.
It was a peculiar sight to see only some animals out and about during the darkness.
Her favorites so far were the little family of bats she found and an old owl who had made its residence on top of one of Detroit’s older buildings.
Yet, she had managed to stay clear for months of a particular insect.
The team was not ready to meet her reaction to the tiny insect.
Well, there was one team member who knew that she did have a fear.
No, it wasn’t Ratchet.
It was Optimus.
It slipped when she was listening to Prime’s story about Sentinel and Elita-One, now known as Blackarachnia.
Nightlight: “Prime… you do know that it wasn’t your fault, right?” Optimus huffing: “It is.” Nightlight: “It’s not.” Optimus: “Yes it—” THWACK! Optimus: “OW! What was that for?” Nightlight: “Oh hush that was a tap. The point is, for what it seems, everyone was at fault for this mess. You’d be a fool to take all the blame.” Optimus sighs a bit: “You wouldn’t understand.” Nightlight: “… I loss some bots too. Lost them to an organic creature on a rescue mission. Only difference was that I found them… offline.” She shuddered a bit remembering their faces. Nightlight: “On occasion, a nightmare or two will come around.” Optimus gently places a servo on her shoulder. Nightlight straightens up a bit taking a deep vent. Nightlight: “What I’m trying to say is Optimus, you’re not alone with these sorts of fears. You can always talk to me about them or tell the team.” Optimus smiles tiredly: “Thanks Nightlight. That… that helped.” Nightlight pats his shoulder: “Any time Prime, but seriously what made you think this whole thing was your fault?” Optimus: “Umm—” Nightlight: “What did Sentinel and Blackarachnia tell you?” Optimus: “… Nightlight—” Nightlight’s optics went wide, and servos curled into fist. Nightlight: “Where is Sentinel Prime?” Optimus: “I am not going to—” Nightlight: “Never mind, I have his coordinates. Optimus go recharge.” Nightlight gets up and starts heading to the door. Optimus tries to stop her but instead was getting dragged across the floor. Nightlight: “I just want to talk with him, diplomatically Prime.” Optimus: “You and I both know that’s not going to happen!” Nightlight: “You’re right, violence is the next option.” Optimus: “No!”
Nightlight never specified what had snuffed out the sparks of those bots, nor did she want to.
It was something Optimus could respect.
The incident happened during movie night.
The entire Plant’s lights were turned off to watch the new movie that Sari had picked out.
Everything was going well, just like every other movie night.
Except this time someone had forgotten to close the window.
In the living room… Everyone was sitting down watching the movie. Sari: “This is the best part!” Bumblebee: “Shh!” Nightlight chuckles a bit at the interaction. A moth suddenly flies to the screen. Sari: “Eww! A moth!” Nightlight went stiff. A couple more flutters on to the screen. Bumblebee: “Where do all these bugs keep coming from?” Prowl: “Don’t kill them!” Bulkhead: “They’re kinda cute! Like those butterflies, but dustier!”
Ratchet huffed but took notice in Nightlight’s sudden silence.
Optimus also took notice, but he was too late to connect the dots before one of the moths had landed right on her face.
Nightlight screamed bloody murder, reaching for a smoke bomb and threw it at the ground.
Everyone coughed at the sudden smoke.
Nightlight was not in her place when the smoke cleared.
Ratchet waved off the younger bots worry and checked her signal.
Several signals popped up at once.
One of her contingency plans had been activated, one of the more annoying ones in Ratchet’s opinion.
Ratchet: “Give her a while alone.” Optimus: “Are you sure? She didn’t sound alright.” Ratchet: “She was just spooked by a bug. That’s all. I can even bet she’s still in the Plant.” Optimus looking at one of the locations on Ratchet’s monitor. Optimus: “I need to go outside for a minute.”
Optimus was gone for more than a minute.
In fact, both Nightlight and Optimus were gone for a while.
It was starting to worry the rest of the team to the point where Ratchet was starting to consider checking the signal points.
Then the two bots came into the Plant.
Sari running up the pair. Sari: “Where did you guys go? The movie ended already!” Nightlight looked tired. Nightlight: “I’m sorry Sari, I’ll make it up to you I promise.” Sari looked a bit unimpressed. Bumblebee: “What was that all about?” Prowl: “And the smoke bomb?” Bulkhead: “Why did you leave?” Ratchet: “Quiet everyone!” Nightlight sighed a bit in relief. Ratchet: “Where. In the Allspark did you—” Optimus stepped in between them both. Optimus: “That’s enough.” This motion surprised everyone on the team. Optimus: “It’s been a long day. Everyone go recharge we have a big day tomorrow.” Nightlight had already made her way to her room and slightly slammed the door. Sari looks up to Optimus: “Is she okay?” Optimus: “I hope so, but right now she needs some space from everyone.” Optimus looks at Ratchet. Optimus: “That includes you too Ratchet.” Ratchet grumbles under his breath, but everyone can see the concerned look on his face passing by her room. Maybe tomorrow she would tell him.

Ouran's Giant Host Club Chapter 2
Chapter 1 Next
Yeah, I can't think of a good title RIP.
I just got a reblog that mentioned the instant coffee bit. I have tragic news: I forgor. The instant coffee bit is not here :( I am so sorry, if I come across an opportunity to include it in the future I absolutely will. Anyway, enjoy, part 3 will be here on Friday.
-------------------------------------------------
“Well, first things first,” the twins said with unnatural synchronization, “we need to get rid of this grubby outfit.” Hikaru nudged Haruhi with a finger that was nearly as tall as she was.
“What? What’s wrong with my clothes?” Haruhi may not be able to afford the fancy uniforms the other students had, especially with the extra fees that came with getting it custom sized, but her button-up and sweater worked fine for her, at least it was comfortable.
Tamaki shook his head. “The very first rule of being a host is that you must look presentable.” He pointed at Haruhi. “We simply cannot let you walk around in those unflattering clothes.”
“We don’t currently have any uniforms that would fit you.” Kyoya added, typing away on his computer. “We could put in a custom order but it would likely take a few days to arrive.”
“Oh! Oh!” Honey raised his hand, waving it in excitement. “We could dress you up in doll clothes! That would be super cute! Right, Takashi?”
Once again, Mori didn’t respond past a slight nod.
Tamaki squealed, “That would be adorable!”
“Yeah, then you really would be like our little doll!” The twins laughed. Without warning, they grabbed Haruhi, holding her right up to their faces. “Believe it or not, there are plenty of people here that collect dolls, I’m sure we can score something for you, little guy!”
“Now, now, you two, hold on a minute.” Tamaki rushed towards them. “Our goal here is to teach this young man how to be a gentleman. We must lead by example!” He declared, holding out his hand. The twins reluctantly handed Haruhi over to Tamaki, who promptly held her cupped to his chest. Despite what Tamaki had said, she didn't find this any more respectful than how the twins were holding her. “Sorry about them, I'm sure we can find somewhere to get you some decent clothes as soon as our club hours end.”
“On the contrary,” Kyoya turned his computer screen towards the others, though Haruhi couldn’t see it from where she was. “It seems the school was more prepared for an arrival like yours than I thought. It says here we can order him a uniform and pick it up as soon as tomorrow morning, so there’s no need to waste our money on other clothes.”
Tamaki pouted a little on not being able to dress up this cute little guy, but quickly got over it. “Well, that settles that. Now, as the king of this host club I order you to go home and get some rest, we’ve got a big day of training tomorrow, so be ready.”
Haruhi felt faint. Is this really happening? I don’t know if I can handle this.
The next morning, Haruhi arrived at the school, and once again, Tamaki met her at the gated entrance, this time holding a little box.
“Haruhi! Your uniforms arrived!” he cheered, setting the box on the ground next to him, and although the box was small to him, it was huge to Haruhi. Easily a few times bigger than she was. She walked over to the box and tried to open it, but its sheer size made it very difficult for her to open. She found herself getting frustrated as she pushed with all her might, only for the lid to stubbornly stay in place. She was simply too outsized.
Tamaki, on the other hand, hid a grin behind his hand at the adorable sight of Haruhi struggling to open the box. Taking pity, he reached down and opened it for her, making her stumble.
Straightening herself back out and clearing her throat, Haruhi peers into the box, revealing a few tiny uniforms.
After Tamaki took her to a changing room, Haruhi put on the academy’s blue uniform, surprised by how perfectly it fit her. How did that weird guy with the glasses get my measurements? She thought to herself, running a hand over her uniform to feel the fabric. Wait, isn’t this the male uniform? I guess they really do think I’m a boy. Oh well. She couldn’t care less honestly, she had much bigger problems to deal with.
As soon as her classes ended, Tamaki once again brought Haruhi to the club room. Instead of staying with Haruhi, this time Tamaki dropped her off with Honey at his table. “Today, I’m thinking it would be good to pair you up with Honey-Senpai, and he can show you the ropes on how to entertain guests with your cuteness.”
Haruhi looked up at Honey, who smiled wide back at her. “Tamaki-Senpai,” she looked back to the taller man, “I don’t think-”
Tamaki cut her off. “Of course, it won’t be the same playing field for you. While you are both appealing, Honey more so fits into the ‘boy-lolita’ category, and you are utterly adorable in a completely different way!” Haruhi groaned quietly, but Tamaki kept going, “Despite that, I still think Honey-Senpai has plenty to show you about how to captivate young ladies! Have fun!”
Tamaki’s appointments went by quickly. He was busy entertaining a few girls, spinning colorful compliments and poetry-like responses meant to woo any young lady. One in particular, Seika Ayanokoji, interrupted another girl’s swooning to start a conversation.
“So, Tamaki, I heard that the host club is keeping a little kitten without a pedigree.”
Tamaki laughs, “I don’t know that I’d call him that, but speaking of, our newest member is actually here right now with Honey-Senpai. I thought pairing them up together would be good for our guests looking for something to coo over. I can introduce you if you’d like.”
Ayanokoji smiled. “That would be lovely.”
The two headed over to Honey and Mori’s table, where three girls were currently busy fawning over the tiny human.
“This is Haru-chan, isn’t he cute, ladies?” Honey asks while squishing Haruhi right up against the side of his face. As a chorus of “awww”s came from the girls, Haruhi wanted nothing more than to get out of this kid's grip and back on solid ground.
Mori, seeing her discomfort, gently took Haruhi from Honey and placed her back on the table. Honey was a bit surprised, but ended up just shrugging it off and going back to talking with the girls.
Thank goodness Haruhi thought.
Just then, Tamaki arrived at the table, waving at Haruhi. “Hey there little piglet, I wanted to introduce you to someone.”
What? Piglet? Haruhi was getting a bit sick of these weird nicknames.
Tamaki gestured to the woman standing beside him. “Haruhi, this is my regular guest, Princess Seika Ayanokoji.”
“Charmed, I’m sure.” the woman said with a strange smile. Haruhi tried to hide her scowl from the lady’s odd tone. Is this girl really a princess? Haruhi kept a neutral look on her face as she greeted the giant, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, ma’am.”
“I’ve taken the little one under my wing,” Tamaki announced with a smile, “with my gracious guidance, I will make sure this young man becomes the finest gentleman he can be!”
Ayano giggles to herself, “Oh, Tamaki, now you’re taking the joke too far.” Haruhi couldn’t help but feel like the laugh was condescending. “He might be cute, but someone of your importance doesn’t need to associate themselves with little commoners like this. It’s not a good look.” She then looked back down at Haruhi, her expression making it seem like she had forgotten the human was there, though Haruhi was smart enough to know it was fake. “Oh I’m sorry,” Ayanokoji continued, “I’m sure you understand.”
Hardly, thought Haruhi, why do all these damn rich people insist on talking about me like that?
Tamaki hardly takes note of the interaction, going right back to conversing with his guests. Haruhi can feel her eye twitch a little from annoyance. These damn rich people…
Suddenly, Haruhi is snatched from behind and carried across the room “Wha- hey! Put me down!” She is set down on an empty counter. “Hey! You can’t just grab people like that! It’s really-!” She turns around and jumps, it’s Kyoya.
The scary one.
“Apologies, but I needed to speak with you in private.” He said. As intimidating as he was, Haruhi still felt like she had to say something. “Yeah well, next time you can just ask!”
His expression is unreadable. “Alright. I wanted to give you a word of advice. You are paying for Tamaki’s time by working for us but, as you’ve likely noticed, Tamaki is a very big draw for the club. His request rate is 70%.” Haruhi furrowed her eyebrows, not sure where this was going.
Kyoya suddenly leaned over Haruhi, his hands on either side of her. Seen from this angle, he became a huge, shadowy figure. She couldn’t stop a shiver of intimidation from running up her spine.
“That means,” he continued, far too close for comfort, “you will have to work very hard to get your request rating high enough to be worth his time. And you may think that just because you’re small, we won’t be able to keep tabs on you. But know this-” he leaned even closer, his face mere inches away from Haruhi. This close, his eyes take up her entire vision. She clenched her fists tight to her side to slow her shaking. “-my family alone employs a private police force of 100 officers. There is nowhere you can go where we won’t find you. So you’d better make your involvement here worth it to us, and especially to me.”
“W-what are you implying?” Haruhi shakingly asked, taking a few hesitant steps back.
Kyoya whispered, “If I were you, I would put in a lot more effort than you are right now.” He then straightened back up, and walked away as if nothing had happened. Haruhi’s legs felt like jelly, but she managed to stay standing anyway. What is that guy’s problem?
“There you are, my little nerd!” Tamaki greeted her, using a fingertip to ruffle up her short hair.
Not noticing his approach, Haruhi jumped back with a gasp as his finger touched her head. Trying to steady her breathing, she ran her hand through her hair to straighten it back out. “Please don’t do that again.”
Tamaki took a moment to look her up and down. “Hmm…That uniform is a good start but we really need to get you a makeover, otherwise people will eventually get bored of your itty-bittyness, and then no girl is going to look twice at you.”
Haruhi can’t stop herself from rolling her eyes, which, thanks to her glasses, Tamaki doesn’t notice. “Yeah, well, I’m not trying to get girls to look at me.” Honestly, the thought of being constantly stared at and prodded by a bunch of giants didn’t seem appealing to Haruhi at all, no matter what gender the giants were.
“Are you kidding me?” Tamaki replied, shocked. “It’s the most important thing! You have to learn to be a gentleman and please the ladies, like me.” He said, striking a princely pose. “That is, of course,” He stared back down at Haruhi, “if you want a chance of paying us back for my services.” He winked at her.
Haruhi almost rolled her eyes again, before she remembered Kyoya’s barely concealed threat. Clenching her fists behind her back, she sighed. “Fine. What do I need to do?”
“Well,” Haruhi jumped at 2 voices coming from right behind her. How do these massive guys keep sneaking up on me like that? “We can start by getting rid of these awful glasses.” One of the twins (Hikaru) said, and attempted to pinch her glasses with 2 massive fingers. The glasses were far too tiny for him to grip, but he did manage to make them fall off of her face, nearly knocking Haruhi over as well.
“Hey! Stop! You’ll break those!” She tried to pick the glasses back up, but the twin swept them off the table and into his hand before she could. “Give those back! I lost my contacts before school, I need those glasses!”
Hikaru stared at the glasses in his palm nearly in awe. He poked at the pair with his finger, noting with fascination how much his fingertip alone outsized them. Pushing that out of his mind, he looks back at Tamaki, surprised to see a shocked expression on his boss's face. That look was matched by the other club members as well. Hikaru looked back to Haruhi, his eyes going wide.
As tiny as Haruhi was, and as difficult as it was to see her eyes from more than a foot away, her eyes were beautiful.
Tamaki suddenly snapped his fingers, taking everyone out of the trance. Their attention on him, he commanded, “Kyoya, look up the nearest human eye doctor, and get this man some contacts.” Kyoya immediately started typing on his computer.
“Mori, find some human hair supplies.” Mori obediently rushes off.
Tamaki pointed at the twins, “You two, take this man and do whatever you need to do to make him look the part.”
The twins’ faces brightened, “You’ve got it, boss!” They grabbed Haruhi and ran over to the changing room for supplies.
Finally, Tamaki turned to the last remaining member. “Honey-Senpai,” Honey’s eyes lit up. “…go have some cake.” Honey’s face fell, and he defeatedly walked back to his table.
After a non-specific amount of time, Haruhi was back on the table, all done up. Tamaki’s eyes were sparkling as he looked at her. “Cute! You’re as pretty as a girl!” he squealed, hands on his face as he was nearly overcome with awe, “Adorable!” Haruhi looked down at herself. Oh right, they think I’m a boy….Whatever.
Honey-Senpai smiled wide, “Wow Haru-chan! You look great!”
The twins held two thumbs up. “If we’d known that’s how you really look”-”we would have helped you sooner!”
“Who knows,” Kyoya added, adjusting his glasses, “looking like that he might actually draw in some customers.”
Tamaki jumped in. “Speaking of which, I’d say now is a good time to make our deal official,” he pointed at Haruhi, “if you can get 1,000 customers to request your service, we’ll consider ourselves even.”
So this is really happening…

I love this idea sm!! I had a lot of fun writing it, I hope you like it :)
Trying to do at least one request a day, sorry to everyone if I take a bit to get to yours!!
Orc x Strong & tall AFAB!Reader
In which an orc develops feelings for a human warrior
The first time you had fought against him and won, it had been in front of his clan. He hadn't heard the end of it, and so, challenged you to a rematch.
That's where you were now. You, with a smug grin on your face, looking down at him as he gave three taps on your arm. You won again. There were cheers around you, and his friends were heard laughing.
Normally, he would have been pissed. Would have challenged you again right away. But instead, as you let go and he got up to brush himself off, he looked flustered. Embarrassed, yes, but also a bit in awe.
"..you are mighty, for a human." He says, ruffling your hair before lightly shoving you, making you laugh.
"Perhaps you are weak for an orc," you tease, making him huff in annoyance. Still, there was a twinkle of amusement in his eyes. His friends laugh at your playful banter.
You had been staying with this particular clan for awhile, after being seperated from your own human party. Orcs, you found, were not nearly as aggressive as the stories told- at least, not unless provoked. Sure, much of their society was based on strength and battle, but they were an honourable people.
The orc before you, Mauzk, bowed his head to you. A subtle gesture, but one that meant the world- it was a sign of respect, typically reserved for higher ranking warriors or chieftains. With a soft smile, you returned the motion. You thought you saw his cheeks flush, but he turned away before you could be sure.
The next couple of days, he avoided you, making you wonder if you had done something wrong. However, when you asked his fellow clan members, they laughed and told you that no, you hadn't done anything. So, you decided to confront him about it.
"Mauzk?" You peaked your head into his tent. He grunted in acknowledgement, focused on sharpening the blade of his axe.
"Reader." He tried making his tone sound disinterested, but he seemed a little nervous. You huff, crossing your arms.
"I assume," you began, "that there's a reason you've been avoiding me?"
Mauzk scoffs, continuing to sharpen his blade- refusing to look up.
"I've not been avoiding you."
Rolling your eyes, you walk over, grabbing the axe from his hands. He looks at you with a mixture of annoyance and hesitance.
"Yes, you have!" A sigh leaves you as he crosses his arms and averts his gaze. "What is going on with you? You're acting like a schoolboy with a crush!"
He cheeks flush a dark green. Oh. Pausing, you stare at him- putting the pieces together in your mind. Then, you grin.
"You like me, don't you?" You already knew the answer. His silence said it all. You could tell he was embarrassed, though, and a bit nervous of your reaction.
Sitting down beside him, you cross your legs, looking at him with a wide smile.
"So... how about a rematch?"

the bad kids ranked by how much I think Arthur Aguefort likes them for fun. mostly written before Junior year but I wanted to post before the penultimate episode tonight
6th Riz- I dont think Arthur dislikes Riz, I just think they don't exactly get on. Arthur is the ultimate authority at the school but also a rule breaker, while Riz is kind of a stickler for the rules which I think would cause some friction or at the very least I think the two of them are more neutral than anything towards each other. Riz has his feral and chaotic moments, but I don't think Arthur really sees them compared to the rest of the bad kids who are more chaotic instead of feral
5th Fabian- I also don't think Arthur dislikes Fabian, I think they don't really have much to talk about. I think one of the few conversations they had, Arthur basically gave him the okay to bring the hangman along on their spring break trip so I don't think there's bad blood between them, just again kind of neutral. I think Fabian is less cringey than Riz and Arthur is more likely to laugh at his jokes so he's higher on this list
4th Gorgug- Things with gorgug are weird, because he could go up or down on this list depending on the conversation. They have a weird relationship since there are times that just by questioning him Gorgug pisses Arthur off and he isn't afraid to say so. Other times he seems to respect Gorgug like when he says he did the right thing with Zelda in Sophomore years, which while creepy is respectful. He also seems to take Gorgug's advice to heart with Ayda and trusts Gorgug with his magic pocket watch. I think he respects Gorgug but would also hunt him for sport if the opportunity arose. I think if Gorgug had nemesis alert Arthur would be listed, I don't think he hates Gorgug by any means, but feels like it's the right thing to do in his own twisted mind.
3rd Kristen- She's another one who could go up or down on the list depending on when, seeing as she did bring Arthur back to life and snuck him in and out of heaven. She also pissed him off and made him go into a rant when she tried to say love was the most powerful magic of all. Still, he seems to at least like her a little bit so it's kind of a toss up. But Kristen is a crazy entity even within the bad kids which earns her extra points.
2nd Fig- I think Arthur really likes Fig, she's wild and crazy, which fits him just fine. I think the challenge to create a brand new creature out of nothing that could transport them around before they left solace/elmville at the start of sophomore year endeared her specifically to him. I think he is very happy that she is the one dating his daughter, however I think he takes his job as Fig's girlfriend's father very seriously and is ready to destroy Fig at any moment.
1st Adaine. I think Arthur Aguefort likes Adaine the most out of the bad kids. partially because she's a fellow wizard and his daughter's best/first friend, but there are other reasons. I think he enjoys Adaine's attitude most out of the bad kids, she isn't afraid to be savage and let out dark jokes when the mood suits her that even the other bad kids find appalling but suits Arthur just fine. While the bad kids are full of chaos gremlins, I think adaine is more feral than chaotic which is why I think Arthur would prefer her the most. Adaine also has the most the Seven energy of the bad kids and since sophomore year her bloodthirsty nature and lack of respect for authority and refusal to back down when she thinks she's right makes her the perfect student to him. I feel like if he was in his right mind and not dead the first day of school he would have seen this tiny shaking high elf in a hudol uniform covered in blood because she just killed the lunch lady with her own ladle, he would have been like, when she graduates, I'm going to be her best friend when she graduates and she would have no say. So to be clear, I don't think this is good for Adaine in anyway to be his favorite, I just think she is his favorite Bad Kid
And for the most part, I think Arthur genuinely likes the bad kids as students and as an adventuring party, but in a way that's not good for them. He respects their violent nature and drive to make a nuisance out of themselves to any villains that might be hatching or in the middle of an evil plan. Not to mention their refusal to obey rules and laws that they feel are unjust or annoying. It's why they're his favorite, it's why he knew it would be them who would understand his point behind the last stand-ard exam, he just loves them because they are everything he's looking for in adventuring students.

short oda blurb cuz i've been hurting recently </3 btw i mention putting rocks on graves, that's a jewish tradition for showing respect and that someone has visited ♡♡ divider by @/benkeibear
Ding, ding, ding! Wake up sleepyhead!
The goofy custom ringtone he recorded for you that usually made you smile had you swallowing thickly this morning, hands shaking as you fumbled to turn it off as quickly as possible.
Underwear on, one leg in pants, then the other. Slide both arms through your shirt sleeves, then pull it over your head. Brush your teeth, pull back your hair, swipe on what little amount of makeup you can manage as your coffee brews. Routine and redundancy makes things easier, especially when everything feels out of control.
You have a rule of keeping at least one picture of him in every room of your house, and in the bathroom you keep an old Polaroid of him offering a lopsided smile to the shaky camera as he offers it an ice cream cone. If only pictures could capture sounds, this one would’ve played a loop of you cackling behind the camera as the man tried his best to pose for your picture - he was somehow the least photogenic and most photogenic person you ever knew. Every picture of him was more strikingly handsome than the last, but he couldn’t pose worth a shit.
Today you picked up the yellowing Polaroid from where it was tucked into the corner of the mirror and gave it a watery smile, making a mental list of every last thing you’d give up just to hear his laugh one more time. To hear even one second of it. To see just a flash of that smile, to hear his voice say your name. Just once. You’d give up the world. You’d go broke, blind, lose your job, and lose your house. For one more second of him. If it meant subsequently giving up your life, too, you’d do it - because maybe then, you’d get to be with him again.
It’s a hot day as you walk down the street, your fingers swelling just a bit, but nothing and no one could pry that silver ring off your finger even if they threatened your life for it. You could stand some discomfort for the day. There was no engagement behind the ring, but it had no less meaning. Not when Dazai revealed to you that he had skipped lunch with him and the boys for weeks in order to save up for it. Not when it had two tiny stones sat next to each other, both of your birthstones embedded deep into the silver.
The tinkle of the bell as you open the door to the florist startles you - sudden and loud noises tend to do that these days. You pretend to peruse the different bouquets, all displaying different arrangements of beautiful flowers, so as not to seem strange for jumping right on the one you already knew you wanted. He would’ve just laughed at you, telling you you were too nervous about what people thought of you. The shitty part was that that part of you, that anxiety had begun to fade when you were with him. What people thought of you never mattered when he was by your side, and you always knew what he thought about you. He never failed to make you remember that, in his eyes, you hung the moon, the stars, mercury, venus, and everything in between and beyond. But now that he was gone, all of that fear came back.
When you finally decided it seemed like an appropriate amount of time examining flowers, you finally picked up the bouquet of your shared favorite flowers.
“Are these for your boyfriend?” the well-meaning florist says from behind the counter as she rings you up.
“Yes, they are,” you nod, smiling sweetly. “I’m actually on my way to see him right now.”
“Well, make sure to let him know he has a wonderful partner for caring enough to bring him flowers. I hope you two have a wonderful day together.”
“We will,” you chuckle.
The gentle breeze tousles your hair as you follow the cobblestone path to your destination, bouquet of flowers in one arm, and your latest read in the other. You liked to keep up somewhat of a book club with him, reading a few chapters aloud for him every time you visited.
Normally you had a bit of a routine every time you visited, brushing the accumulated dirt and grime off his name and replacing the rocks that had fallen off the top of the stone, but you didn’t quite have the energy for that today. Instead, you just laid the flowers in front of him, before sitting down on the ground.
“Today officially marks it, Saku. I’ve now… had to remember you for longer than I’ve known you.” Tears spring into your eyes once you finally admit it out loud, not quite realizing the gravity of it until the words took shape. “And to be honest, babe? I’m kinda fuckin’ tired of it,” you laugh, wiping your eyes. “I don’t want to have to remember you anymore. Remembering hurts like a bitch. I want you back more than I want to take my next breath. Doesn’t that suck?”

May I please request headcanons for the Sparda boys finding out about their daughter dating a bouncer who’s calm but tough and is good at fighting and cleaning up bars and clubs?
Lol pretty sure my dad showed me this movie scene before. Enjoy!
Sparda boys x Daughter!Reader dating a bouncer headcannons
¤ Dante ¤
-Dante's pretty chill with it all.
-He trusts his little girl, and yes, he is a little worried about her safety, especially if she'll be hanging around clubs, but her boyfriend seems competent enough.
-He tries not to forget that he was young once, and that your grandfather would have felt the same way over your mother dating him.
-So, he let's you go, but he's careful to call and/or text every few hours to make sure you're doing alright.
-Actually gets along with your boyfriend pretty well. While they'll probably never be bros or anything like that, but at least they're friendly to one another.
-You might find Dante paying your boyfriend a visit at his workplace, only to watch him kick ass, which results in increased respect.
■ Vergil ■
-Vergil is very doubtful and distrusting of your boyfriend.
-He just doesn't like him, he can't explain why. The man is edgy, edgier than he is, and carries this bizarre aura Vergil can't name.
-He won't oppose you being together; he's not so heartless as to ruin his daughter's relationship, but he makes you bring a weapon every time you go out, and to be very cautious.
-Happened to visit a bar your boyfriend worked at and watched him beat up some thugs almost effortlessly.
-From that point on, his respect for this man went up just a tiny amount, but it was enough to make him just a tad bit more welcoming.
-Who knows? Maybe someday, he'll accept him as family.
□ Nero □
-Nero was a little suspicious of your boyfriend at first. Honestly. Who wouldn't be? Your boyfriend carried this punk-ish attitude that really set Nero on edge.
-Then he remembered that he too is a punk, so he doesn't have much room to talk.
-He watches you guys closely for a while, then takes your boyfriend aside to "interrogate" him with some questions.
-What these questions were, you will never know. All you know is that your boyfriend passed the test, whatever that was, and is now greeted much more warmly whenever he comes over.
-Nero still advises you to be careful. He wants his baby girl to be safe.
-Nero once went to the club your boyfriend worked at, just to say hi, and ended up witnessing a fight that your boyfriend won. He didn't say anything, but inside, he felt relieved because he knew his daughter would be safe with this guy.

Sanji has arachnophobia but like. The type of arachnophobia that makes you have panic attacks even if you only see a little, tiny spider around you. And I just know Usopp would love to have a pet spider. They go to an island and Usopp finds a hurt spider and takes care of it because of course he would, and decides to keep it because of course he would.
So, uh, Sanji doesn't like his boyfriend's pet. It's not like he's going to tell him, because what would he say to him? Sanji hasn't told him his fear of spiders is that bad (he definitely knows, though). And he doesn't want to get in between Usopp's excitement of keeping her. So the spider stays and at least Usopp is aware that Sanji doesn't like her, so he doesn't let her go close to him (she's very polite so it's okay).
But Usopp loves having her around. On his shoulder, his head, his hands-- The guy brings her with him everywhere. And the little thing is smart and somehow seems to understand what Usopp says. They're happy. It's cute. Luffy absolutely loves her. Robin is literally thrilled to study her behavior. And Sanji can't even look at her because he will start hyperventilating the second he notices her.
He'd try to get over his fear of her because Usopp wants them to get along but he won't force it on Sanji. Sanji just knows he wants them to be friends. The spider lives in Usopp's terrarium, which he keeps in his workshop, and so Sanji goes there without telling his boyfriend.
And he tries. He really, really tries. He's shaking when he sees her there, even if she's inside the terrarium. He's barely able to breathe when he tries to get her out of there. Again and again repeating the words Usopp constantly tells him "She's more afraid of you than you are of her" (which is bullshit, in Sanji's opinion) and "She only wants to be your friend! She likes you because I like you" (something extremely romantic but Sanji's brain doesn't process it that way).
He's about to call it a day and try to calm himself down before he actually stops breathing for good. But. You know. The terrarium is on the edge of the table that's already full of Usopp's stuff and the tablecloth is long and- And the terrarium falls and breaks and the spider ends on Sanji's foot-
He doesn't want to do it and it happens in instinct and regrets it immediately, but he kicks the spider. He doesn't know where she lands and he doesn't react immediately to it because he's too focused on trying to learn how to breathe again. He sits on the floor around broken glass and dirt and doesn't realize what he's done until he starts looking for her again. It's not even because of Usopp anymore. She's just a spider. She hasn't done anything but... Existing. She shouldn't be blamed for that. Even if Sanji is afraid of her.
Sanji looks around for her without getting up and finds her alive and well and crawling around avoiding the glass, but also trying to stay away from Sanji as much as possible. That breaks his heart because he might not know what she thinks the way Usopp does, but he knows when someone is scared.
At least she's okay. She's alright. That's a relief.
"I'm sorry, I-" He feels a bit stupid talking to her like this, but he knows she gets it. He hopes she does. "It's not you. You're- He loves you, okay? You're a good girl. I just- I just can't."
He feels his chest tightening when she approaches him ever so slowly, but he knows she won't do anything. His heart doesn't share the same sentiment, but he quiets it down. She looks almost apologetically as if she was the one reassuring Sanji and not the other way around. "It must be tiring." He holds his legs close to his chest to make space for her to walk next to his feet. He feels like he's about to pass out, but she's respectful. And nice. And kind of cute, even. And she's Usopp's. Sanji thinks she tilts her little head confusedly. Thinks, because he isn't quite sure if they do that. "It sucks, right? People being afraid of you all the time. I- I can't say I'm not scared but- But you haven't done anything wrong, little one."
She stays there and doesn't move much for a few seconds, until she ends up crawling up and resting on top of Sanji's shoe. The same way she does when she spends her time on Usopp's shoulder. Sanji isn't that afraid anymore. He's overwhelmed and exhausted and really, really anxious, but he trusts her. Somehow.
Sanji looks around the room, his heart clenching with blame. "I'm sorry- For your home. I'll build you a new one. Well. Not- Not me. I don't know how to. Usopp will. Shit, he'll hate me after this..." But before he can start dwelling on it, the spider moves a little on his leg. And It isn't as bad as he thought. If she's going to murder him in his sleep it's a bit deserved after all. But she won't. He hopes she won't. "You know, you're kind of cute." She tries to crawl up to his knee, but it makes him jump a little. "Don't- Not really ready for, like, upper body touching. Please?" And somehow, she listens and goes back to her position. "Damn, you can understand what I say, can you? Smart girl."
And she doesn't say anything, but Sanji takes it as a yes. Both because he likes talking to her and also because he doesn't want to feel so damn stupid.
A few hours later, Usopp goes back to his workshop and finds Sanji asleep on the floor, lucky he didn't touch any shards of glass, and the spider rests on his foot happily. Or at least it looks like that for Usopp.
He'll ask what happened later, for now, it's time to clean the mess without waking up his boyfriend. He's been brave enough for a day.
#i mean not really CANON but this is canon#i've talked about this before i know idc#i saw a spider today i thought about this#and also i have arachnophobia so sanji does too#'spiders can't be happy or empathetic to human-' i do not care she's my friend now#she loves her dads that's sanuso's child#please imagine a cute little cartoony spider#cutest thing ever. sanji makes her food for spiders with. idk. whatever spiders eat#honestly i know nothing about these little bastards i'm too afraid to look for info if i see a picture i'll start sobbing uncontrollably#sanji falls asleep talking to her bc being afraid and crying is exhausting#she can't sleep but she's there supporting protecting him yay#one piece#black leg sanji#usopp#sanuso

what about makoto naegi with a male or GN reader (whichever you prefer), where the reader is a huge fan like they’d defend him tooth and nail if anyone ever insulted him?? and they both secretly have a crush on each other
Love Makoto was so hyped reading this request >:))
Makoto Naegi X male reader who had a huge crush on him
SFW, headcannon format, fluff, tiny bit of angst, masc pronouns, romantic LGBTQ relationship, killing game setting
━━━━━━━━★━━━━━━━━━
•You found him respectful, surprised that he wanted to introduce himself to everyone like a gentleman. Him also being really cute definitely helped his case
•When he came up to you he was more nervous and a bit awkward similar to the way he was talking to Sayaka that day. You found it fluttering how nervous he seemed unlike talking to the rest of the class making you feel more confident talking to him
•You started hanging out with him when you had free time (which was a lot of the time) finding him the more safest option of students to mingle with
•You found him quite funny, he’d be very clumsy at times tripping over his own feet or would accidentally speak his mind when socializing, you didn’t know why people in his past found him “bland” and “boring” he was supportive, caring, optimistic, opinionated, brave when he needed to be and very selfless
•He also had a very open mind wanting to get to know everyone and how they lived their lives, even people like Toko or Byakuya he wouldn’t give up on anyone including you making you feel like you had someone at least somewhat looking out for you
•You found him very inspiring and someone to look up to, someone who you could trust, could be vulnerable with even in a place like this. Theses thoughts transformed into romantic dreams, red cheeks and sweaty hands all because of him
•You wanted to ask him about his sexuality but you were too scared that you would make him uncomfortable. He probably saw you as his “bro” I mean it was obvious that he liked Sayaka before she died. Would he stop hanging out with you? What if he found it too weird having you around him after asking him? The only thing you could do was pray that he liked guys even just a little… you prayed that he liked you
•When the trials started to happen, you made sure he had someone in his corner backing him up, he’s done so much for you and helps out everyone, he needs someone to do the same he deserves it
•You’d investigate with him, shut down any lies or insults thrown his way and of corse comfort him after the long and horrific day you all had to endure
•Even when you felt you were in the darkest place in your life, he always gave you hope to keep going, the courage to fight back and the kindness to pick yourself up even if you felt you weren’t worthy of it
•You were sitting down having dinner with Makoto talking about middle school and your guys experiences when he brought up crushes he’s had
•”I couldn’t even get near Sayaka let alone ask her out. She wasn’t the only one though there was this guy on the soccer team I thought was cute, I even joined the team to try and get closer to him. I quit three days later but at least I tried!”
•He laughed showing off his beautiful smile, you forced a chuckle while you mentally prepared to ask him the question you wanted to blurt out since he came up to you that first day
•”Oh are you?… I’m not freaked out or anything, I mean…. not being a straight guy myself, that would be hypocritical.” You nervously laughed trying to soothe the tension in the air
•After confessing to you, hope was in the air of the romance you’ve dreamed about for so long cooped up in this school. Taking a breath of strength, you also told him your own confession
•”Well, at least my lucky title counted for something. I um, really like you too Y/N and I would be even more lucky to be your boyfriend.”
•You spent the night in his arms, holding each other tight in comfort as you talked for hours about anything that crossed your guys mind. You two were anxious about how the rest of the class would respond to a gay relationship, there was enough tension between everyone and you didn’t want yourself or him to be anyone’s new target. If you had him and he had you though, the both of you were unstoppable 💚

Take Your Time | Choi Yeonjun
Summary: Yeonjun asks out his Noona the first time he speaks to her and she surprisingly says yes. Pairing: fem!reader x Choi Yeonjun Word Count: 3.4k~ Warnings: Tiny bit of suggestive language and four year age gap but that's about it. a/n: Requested by one of my lovely anons. Sorry it took me so long to get it out! But trust me, there will definitely be a part two ;)
Growing up I never was one to stand out from the crowd, let alone the one anyone batted an eye at. I always thought of myself as being average, just a face in the crowd and I was okay with that. No one has ever really taken a special interest in me, so why do I find myself being chased around by a young guy named Yeonjun?
He's one that some might classify as "popular" but titles like those don't hold as much weight in college as they did in high school. No matter where I turn, if I find myself sitting in the library, eating lunch out in the sun, spending time with my small group of friends or even walking to my classes I can always see him coming. Doesn't help the fact that he's at least a head or two taller than most of the students here so it's kind of hard not to notice him.
We do have similar majors I'll give him that so we share a couple of classes and because of that I'm bound to run into him but why has he taken to me so strongly? He hasn't asked me to tutor him so he must not want to use me for my brain. Nor has he tried to hit on me, he just seems like a genuine guy who for some reason has become somewhat infatuated with me.
Maybe it's our age gap that he finds attractive, and the fact that there isn't much competition he would have to deal with. Guys like him do seem like they would want to go for older women, ones that are more experienced so to say. Little does he know that this Noona he's chasing after isn't much more than she seems.
"Noona, you dropped this!" I hear someone say and I turn to see Yeonjun holding up the pen I had just been using. "Oh thank you Yeonjun" I say and take it back getting hit with a faint jolt of electricity when our hands touch. "You know my name?" he asks clearly surprised. "Well yeah I'm your TA for this class so it's kind of my job to know everyone's name" I say laughing at his confusion.
"Oh yeah, I guess you’re right. How are you?" he asks clearly trying to find a way to continue this conversation. "I'm fine thanks, how are you?" I ask returning the sentiment. "I'm doing great. I just wanted to see if I could ask you something" he says and I can see the tips of his ears turning red which could really only mean one thing.
I hum in acknowledgment and wait for him to continue. "Do you think that maybe you might want to go on a date with me sometime?" he asks now looking down at his feet. "What was that?" I tease, hoping to ease up the tension. "Will you go on a date with me?" he says making eye contact after taking a deep breath. Looking at him a bit closer I can see how young he is and how honestly adorable he looks. He is an attractive guy so I guess one date might not hurt.
"Sure" I say with a soft smile. "Wait, really?" he says now making hard eye contact with me, searching my features to see if I actually meant it. "Yeah why not? Don't tell me you're backing out on me already" I chuckle, loving the reactions he's giving me.
"It's just that, I didn't think you would actually say yes. Does Saturday work?" he asks quickly solidifying our plans. "Saturday is fine, do you have a car or would you like me to come pick you up?" I question knowing that it's not common for a college student to have a car where we live. "I could just meet you there! I don't want you to go out of your way" he says, cheeks blushing at the thought of me picking him up instead of the other way around.
"It's okay Yeonjun, just send me the time and your address and I'll come get you" I say and hand him my phone so he can put in his number. He takes it with two hands, clearly still showing respect for my age which is a good sign and saves his name as Choi Yeonjun keeping things formal, to which I change it to Junnie making sure he sees it.
"Junnie? No one has really called me that since I was a kid" he says scratching the back of his head. "Oh it's okay I don't plan on calling you that, I just like to have cute nicknames in my phone for my friends" I say saving it and putting my phone in my pocket. "Friends huh?" He says looking a little disheartened.
"I guess we'll find out after that date" I say and ruffle his hair before I make my way to my next class. "See you later, Junnie" I say giving him a kiss on the cheek before I leave. I glance back and see that he's still facing the other way with his hand placed on the cheek I had kissed and laugh a bit at the sight. He's a cute kid.
I get a text later on in the day from Yeonjun telling me the time but for some reason he wont tell me where we're going.
'Can you at least tell me how I should dress?' I send shaking my head.
'Comfortable but not too comfortable. Some sort of jeans and t shirt combo would be good' he replies simply.
'Oh and you might want to wear a black shirt or something because we might get a bit dirty ;)' he finishes and gives me no more information after that. I huff in semi annoyance but I'm actually quite excited to see what he might have in mind.
"Hi Noona" Yeonjun greets hopping into my car, he makes an effort to lean in towards me resting his arm against the console to balance and gives me his cheek. "What are you doing?" I giggle feigning innocence. "Noona you gave me a kiss last time" he lets out, pouting slightly at the thought of being denied the kiss that he was clearly hoping for. "Settle down and put your seatbelt on" I say laughing at him and he does as he's told but while he's busy doing so I lean in and give him a quick peck on the cheek as I had done before.
"I-" he says again placing his hand against the spot where my lips had just been, clearly catching him off guard again. "So are you gonna tell me where we're going or what?" I say sitting back in my seat and then offering him my phone to pull up the directions which he fumbles with for a second and then hands it back to me.
Once we pull up I'm surprised to see that we're in front of a pottery studio, "Really?" I say teasing him, pretending that I'm uninterested. "What you don't like it? I thought I heard you talk about the ceramics class you had last year that you really liked so I-" "Yeonjun I'm kidding, I love it!" I say grabbing his hand trying to show sincerity.
"Loosen up a bit love, I like to tease people a lot" I say giving his hand a squeeze and pulling him into the shop. "We’re gonna have to have a talk about you listening in on my conversations though" I say pretending to scold him. "I'm sorry I just wanted to make sure to take you somewhere you would like to go. Not some lame movie date" he say looking down at his shoes.
"Jun" I say hoping to bring his attention back over to me. "You really don't have to be shy with me, I promise I'm just playing around" I say hoping he'll understand me a bit more. "I'm sorry it's just, well I've never gone out with a girl that's older than me so I wanted to be respectful and we don't know each other well yet so I wasn't sure if I should be formal with you or not" he explains and I notice again how red his ears have gotten.
"Take a deep breath with me okay?" I say and encourage him to follow while we wait our turn in line and a few seconds later breathe out. "We're on a date right?" I question him to which he nods. "So let's drop some of the formality, still be respectful but you don't need to walk on egg shells around me. Got it?" I ask hoping now he'll start to loosen up. "Got it!" he says giving me a bright smile that I know is about to become one of my favorites.
As we start our pottery lesson I notice that the instructor keeps on making eyes at me and it's very apparent that Yeonjun does as well. The instructor seems to take a special interest in me and makes sure to compliment me and come to my aide when I'm struggling. Honestly isn't it unprofessional to try to flirt with customers so openly?
"Hey Yeonjun come here" I say with the intention of asking him to 'help' me. "Do you think you could help me out? My hands seems to be getting pretty shaky so it's hard for me to get it to look as nice as yours looks" I pout trying to make him feel a bit better showing him that I need him.
"Sure Noona how did you want me to..." he questions not really sure how to go about it. "Oh if you want to get behind me and place your hands on top of mine to guide me that might help" I say sneakily creating the 'Ghost' scene. He awkwardly agrees and helps me just like I asked him with his chest up against my back and him whispering in my ear praising me for getting it down so quickly which honestly has me feeling a bit flustered.
"Thank you love" I say placing another kiss on his cheek "I think I've got it from here" I say and send him back to his station and make it a point to send a tight lipped smile to the creep, making sure he saw our interaction. Even if Yeonjun and I aren't in a relationship I want to make him feel secure in himself and see that I really wanted to come on this date with him and he's the only guy I care to pay attention to.
"You okay?" I ask as we make our way out of the studio, taking a hold of his hand while we walk back to my car. "I didn't like the way that guy was looking at you" he says clenching his jaw a bit, now being given a bit more freedom to express his emotions.
"Hey, I made sure the guy knew that we were together and he did back off a bit after that so don't worry. Plus I made sure to talk to the manager about him so I don't know how much longer he'll be working there" I finish, walking over to the drivers side of the car.
"You're literally the coolest person I know Noona" he says amazed at my simple actions. "I know" I say smiling at his sentiment and get in the car and again hand him my phone for him to put in the next address for the second stop on our adventure.
"How did you know I like rollerskating?" I question, finding his attention to detail adorable. "Well I thought I saw a bumper sticker on your car a while ago that has a pair of roller skates on it so I figured you might want to go!" he says with a bright smile, happy he was right.
"Plus it gives me an excuse to do this" he says and places his hand in mine. I find myself a little flustered at the action as this is the first time he's initiated some sort of physical touch and it somehow gets my heart racing. I guess since it's my first time going on a date in a while, him making moves on me might effect me a bit more.
"Come on let's go!" he says cutely, excited to get started and I trail along behind him with my hand still firmly in his grasp. As we get inside I reach for my bag to find my card so I can pay for the entrance and skate rental, "No it's okay Noona I'm paying!" he says proudly swiping his card before I even have a chance to find my wallet.
"Are you sure? You already paid for the pottery class" I say feeling a bit unsure of if I should let him pay, especially since I'm older than him. "Yes I'm sure, I asked you on a date so it's my responsibly to take care of you" He says and guides me closer to the counter so we can both get our hands stamped, showing we've paid the entry fee. He takes a hold of my hand after that and leads me towards the skate rental counter to pick up ours for the day.
"If I would've known we were coming I would've brought my skates" I say laughing at how chipper he seems. "But that would've ruined the surprise!" he says, stating the obvious. "I'll let you know next time..." he says trailing off leaving it open ended trying to see if I would want there to be a next time. "Okay, next time" I say squeezing his hand hopefully showing my sincerity.
He smiles down at me and it's just now that I'm taking into account our height difference and for some reason it has me starting to feel shy. Our eyes lock for a moment and I see him start to study my features and he glances down at my lips for a moment before the kid at the counter hands us our skates.
We sit down to start putting them on and before I can say anything he's kneeling down in front of me helping me tie my laces. "Hey you don't have to do that!" I say laughing at his clumsiness with the extra long laces. "I know, but I want to" he says and looks up at me now almost being eye level.
My phone buzzes and I mentally groan at another interruption and check it but before I can protest he's helping me put on the other skate. "Who was that? If you don't mind me asking" he questions tentatively. "My boyfriend, he's wondering why I haven't been answering his calls today" I say rolling my eyes and throwing my phone in my purse after putting it on silent.
Much to my amusement Yeonjun ends up choking on air and almost toppling over from his crouched down position but I end up reaching out in time to help steady him. "Boyfriend?" he says between coughs. I smile at him and see how pink his cheeks have gotten clearly embarrassed by what he believes to be new information about me. "Yeonjun, what did I say about lightening up? Of course I don't have a boyfriend, it was just someone liking my story that's all" I say rubbing his back waiting for him to stop coughing.
"Okay good" he says clearing his throat. "Now come on handsome let's get your skates on too! This is my favorite song!" I say happily standing up to stretch a bit before kneeling down and doing the same for him. "Noona you don't-" "Shhh you helped me now let me help you" I say simply and once done I stand up to reach for his hand and take him towards the rink where 'Oh shit...are we in love?' by Valley is blasting through the blown out speakers.
Once I step onto the rink I notice Yeonjun's hesitation to do the same, flinching a bit watching someone wipeout on the polished wood. "You're fine, come on I'll teach you" I say reaching out for his hand which he reluctantly takes.
"Have you never been roller skating before?" I ask while I guide him to the railing running across the wall that encases the rink. "I have but umm-" he's interrupted by almost slipping before I help him regain a bit of his balance, "it's been a while" he says awkwardly laughing at his efforts of recovery. We go around the rink a few times and he starts to get more comfortable with each completion.
"You think you got it now?" I question, confident that we won't have any Bambi on ice moments again. "Okay you stay here and I'll go skate to the other side and wait to see if you can skate all the way to me without using the wall. You think you can do that?" I ask hoping he's gained some confidence. "I think so" he says giving me a nervous chuckle.
I nod and skate over to the agreed upon area and wave him over to me. He struggles for a moment or two but then my mouth drops seeing him skate towards me like a natural, even turning around and skating backward and makes a circle around me when he catches up.
"Yeonjun! That was amazing!" I say and punch him in the arm which he grabs instantly and rubs it afterwards. "Hey what was that for?" he pouts, acting like I actually hurt him. "That was for lying to me, you are really good at skating. Maybe even better than me, maybe" I say smirking at him a bit before punching him again.
"Noona!" he whines this time actually feeling a bit of pain, "and that was for yelling at me" I say crossing my arms over my chest. "What else was I supposed to do? You caught me off guard when you punched me" he says still rubbing his "injured" bicep.
"Aww do you want me to blow on it?" I say leaning down to blow some cool air on it before I feel him grab my jaw and bring my face back up to his. "I could think of something else you could blow" he says dropping his voice and octave. Now I'm the one choking on air.
"Yeonjun!" I say scolding him to which he just laughs, watching me try to catch my breath. "Look how the tables have turned, two can play at this game you know" he says with a devious smile, now having flipped a switch. "You've just been playing the role of the quiet nervous boy haven't you?" I say making my way to get out of the rink to go sit back down.
"Who said I was playing? I really was nervous and I still am, but you're really cool and I like the way you joke around with me so I wanted to fight back a bit. Did I escalate it too much? You just made it too easy" he says brushing a strand of hair behind my ear.
"N-no that's fine, I don't mind, you just caught me off guard that's all" I say admitting to my shock. "Okay good. Are you tired? I was thinking that we could go and get something to eat and then maybe go to the drive ins?" he says clearly excited at the prospect of continuing the date. "No I'm not tired but I'm definitely hungry! Did you wanna get something from the snack bar or…?" I question trying to see what he had in mind.
"I actually had a place I wanted to take you to, is that okay?" he questions giving me the option. "Sure, you're two for two on the places you've taken me to so I would say that I trust your judgement" I say smiling when I see how happy he is after hearing my praises.
"Shall we?" he says dramatically putting his arm out to escort me to the car after having returned the skates. I shake my head and smile at him while I grab a hold of him, "You're adorable you know that right?" I say looking back up at him. "Let's see how much longer you'll be calling me that" he mutters more to himself. "What was that?" I say tilting my head catching onto what he might be implying. "Oh nothing don't worry about it" he says and opens my door for me once we're back at my car.

Part one
When I was a child, before the civil war, my tutor told me stories if I was good at my lessons. There was one about a tanial, or something very like it. A river maiden who sang and cried so beautifully that the soldier who’d taken her shining silver cloak from the riverbank was compelled to give it back to her.
Evidently not all shape-turners have that quality, though, because by the time we had hiked to the nearest port and booked passage to the Southern Continent, I was heartily sick of our taniel’s tears.
No amount of reasoning or comfort from me or from Aspen, who he’d previously been on the best terms with, helped. He spent the days in sullen silence, and more than once I felt his eyes boring into my back, only to turn around and find him glaring at the ground, that glossy black hair that always looked faintly wet falling all over his face.
Once we were about the ship, though, he stopped glaring at me and spent most of his time lying about in human shape and pitiful poses, retching miserably. The ship was shabby but respectable, and the captain had accepted my false name and hastily-constructed story of business interests in the South without a problem.
On the fourth day of the voyage, the mate took me aside. He was a man in his fifties with a lopsided frown and weathered hands covered in tiny scars. “My lord,” he said cautiously. “How… much do you know about your servant? The sick one. Has he been with you long?”
“Tani? Oh, about six months,” I said. I leaned on the railing, watching the waves off the bow. “I’m sorry he’s been taken so badly, I didn’t realise the sea would disagree with him this much.”
It surprised me a little, but I supposed he was a river creature, not salt water. And he was probably unused to being on a boat for long stretches.
And to be honest? It felt cruel saying so, even in the privacy of my own head, but part of me thought he was playing it up a bit. Or at least, that his misery was at least as much in his head as his stomach.
But I was sorry he was seasick.
The mate hummed thoughtfully. “Not long, then. Do you know what he did before he came into your service?”
“No,” I agreed. I pushed back a memory of an iron cage, the marks of a yoke across bare shoulders. Muddy green eyes fixed on a bucket of water in my hands. “Not long. Why do you ask?”
I’m better than that. He has no call to look at me like…
The mate rubbed a hand through his greying beard and looked uncomfortable. “Begging your pardon, my lord, but… there’s something… uncanny about him.” He cast me a look as if he expected me to wave him off but was determined to say his piece regardless. “I don’t mean to overstep myself, mind. But I can’t in good conscience let you keep on without saying anything. He’s not human.”
I turned to give him my full attention. “Why do you say that?” I asked. I’d thought Taniel’s disguise was good. I certainly couldn’t see anything.
The mate shrugged his shoulders. “Was just a feeling at first. But he’s always cold to touch, had you noticed? His hands? One of the boys went and took a closer look at him last night, and his hair’s growing in with weeds. Waterweeds, like.”
Weeds? Cold hands seemed a bit flimsy to condemn a person for, I’d been about to say, but at that I frowned. I’d never seen anything odd in Tani’s hair, other than it seeming to stay damp longer than it should. “Interesting.”
“Seen it before. He’s some sort of water fairy for certain, and I’m not sure what he wants with you or this ship, but...” The mate took in my lack of shock, and his frown deepened. “Did you know already?”
I inclined my head, but didn’t outright agree. “Uncanny or not, I’m confident Tani isn’t dangerous. He’s on the ship because he’s working for me, you don’t need to worry about your crew or ship. He won’t eat anybody.”
“You have his bridle, then?” the mate asked. “Or his stone, or whatever…”
“He does what I say.”
The mate sighed and rearranged his cloak, huffing. He tried his best to hide it, but it was obvious he thought this was even worse, and he was now obligated to talk a fool out of his foolishness.
“My lord, this is more dangerous than you know,” he said.
“I know what I’m doing,” I said.
“He might play helpless for now, and I don’t doubt he makes himself useful, but he’ll be looking for any opportunity to stab you in the back. Depend on it.” The mate shook his head. “Better to throw him and his trinket into the sea with weights. Might not kill’im, but it’ll slow him down long enough to…”
“I’ll consider it if I have any problems,” I said. “So far, I’m not worried.”
“You should be,” he said. “You’re not the first bright young lad to think you can outsmart a shapeshifter, but -”
“Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention,” I said, putting steel into my voice. I straightened up, and made sure I met the mate’s eyes. “Nobody is to bother him. He’s under both my protection, and my control. Am I clear?”
“Aye, my lord,” the mate said, with a long-suffering look. “As you say.”
I don’t know how the mate thought the tanial was going to get up and devour crewmembers when he couldn’t even keep bread down or walk in a straight line, I thought as I went to check on him in the tiny cabin I’d rented for us.
I dropped to my haunches beside him, in his nest of blankets, to examine his hair more closely. At first it just looked like normal hair, black and slightly curled and finally looking dry. And then I saw it. A frond of something deep green and frilly that was most certainly not hair, interspersed with the rest.
I resisted the urge to touch the pouch that hung around my neck. Tani wasn't dangerous. Not now, and I didn't think ever.
He shifted enough to look at me with one red-rimmed eye. Once he saw it was me, his expression shifted into a scowl. He threw his arm over his head. “Leave me alone.”
“When did you start growing pondweed?” I asked.
His hand went up to his hair and combed through it until he found the frond. He groaned pitifully. “Oh. Ugh.” His fingers followed it up to the scalp, uprooted it, and threw it down to the deck in apparent bad temper.
I frowned at it, equally curious and distasteful. “Doesn’t that hurt? Has something changed? You didn’t have those before.”
“Go away.”
I held my breath and let it out while I counted to ten, as I’d been taught by my tutor to control my temper. “Tani. Manners. Answer me.”
“Nothing’s changed except I forgot, okay?” he mumbled into his arms. “I pull them out when I’m in town. I forgot. Been too sick.”
I sighed in exasperation. “Well, don’t forget. People have already noticed.”
“I’m sorry,” he snarled. “Is imprisoning me causing you social awkwardness, your highness?”
“I’m not imprisoning you. We have a deal, I - ” I discarded that line of reasoning; he was deaf to it. “Do you want to get thrown overboard? I don’t think you’d enjoy it.”
“Go ahead! I can’t be seasick at the bottom of the sea! And at least you wouldn’t be there!”
He’ll come around. It didn’t take him long to become comfortable with us in the first place, it’ll happen again. He’ll get his freedom in the end, like I said, and everything will be fine. It will be worth it in the end.
The soldier, I recalled unwillingly, had drowned in the end of my tutor’s story. But he was a character in a story, and Tani and I weren’t.
Everything would be fine. I just needed to get the Cup and my throne.
#Prince Arin viewpoint!#just having fun with this concept for now#Tanial#angst#shapeshifter character#tanial is a madeup name btw it isn't a real creature#he is something like a water horse
