aaAAA GOSH!!! I'm sorry it took 500 years to respond to this, I HAD TO GATHER MY THOUGHTS!! 🥹 You have no idea how much this means to hear!! Especially because Alan has also had such a significant and profound impact on my own mental health. Every step of the journey to see him, I planned and saved for myself, including the likes of learning to drive, getting an independent job, applying for a passport, and saving the money. I've had really bad anxiety throughout my life, especially with regards to learning how to drive, so this trip spurring me on to finally tackle that fear is very important to me. 😭✨️ And that's to say nothing of what his music, his demeanor, his presentation and just... what the whole Alan has done for me, along with the other Animals! Providing me with so much inspiration for artwork and a whole new appreciation for the process of archiving, especially for the sake of cataloging those positive moments between a band that the popular consciousness thinks didn't get along. All of that, working in tandem, has given me such a great sense of purpose... I'll always have my own mental struggles and issues, but it's nice to have a special interest to turn to that lets you lose yourself in so many layers of complexity and comradery 🥹🐾✨️

All of that to say, hearing that Alan has helped you, in a similar manner, is incredibly meaningful to me, knowing just how much he's helped me during some incredibly difficult times... and the fact that my art was the catalyst for that?!?! wAHHHHHH GOSH - it's hearing things like that... it makes it all worth it, I swear (and I'm sure Alan can agree) 😭😭😭 THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SAYING ALL OF THIS!! 🙏🎹✨️

when i tell youve ive had emotional breakdowns bc of color... the company i work for is usually really ok about having fun colors and design, but some of our clients *love* to say they go for a more sober/elegant aesthetic, while having a _grey + yellow combo_ as their main colors. sometimes i give up and desaturate everything so it looks like mud, and they love it. sometimes ill wage war email wars over our right _as humans_ to have fun with color. sometimes i win, sometimes i lose. i looooove (/s) companies that say they have a clean, sophisticated and subtle aesthetic while having the most boring ass branding. it doesnt mean good taste, it means anxiety. theyre afraid of competition, they wanna blend in and say theyre oh so serious and competent. there *are* stablished companies that are bold, damn, even government branding can be fun, and burocracy is their middle name lol. and i know weve been through the great flattening, corporate memphis. ive beneffited from that and still do. but we gotta move on, for our own emotional health lol

story time! a couple weeks ago i was kinda tired and almost burning out, and then my bf showed me the nintendo alarmo announcement. i was so upset, so enraged, so sad, my whole day was ruined lol why? bc _the switch has no personality_. disclaimer that i dont own a switch, but i was messing witha friend's switch a couple months ago. and it *baffled me* how the only themes were black and white, the mii feature was basically hidden, it had basically no sound, and the main ui basically looks like netflix.

i didnt grow up with consoles, i mostly played on pcs. and i got my first console ever, a ps3, on 2012, and then i bought a 3ds on 2015. maybe it's the fruitiger aero of the time, i dont know, but they had a soul, you know. i was taken aback by how neutral the ps4 was but, granted, i didnt play on it much. but nintendo. nintendo, who had a decade of design soul and passion from the wii to the wiiu, releasing the switch with the barest bones ever, and then asking people a crazy amount of money for _a clock, with themes, that couldve been on the switch_? i never had a nDS, and i did some finaggling with my 3ds so now i can download dsi apps. i get that the ds and the 3ds were a lot of people's first smart devices and they dont need those anymore, but seeing the animal crossing clock for the dsi, as cute as it could be, *for free*, and the alarmo basically on the same week made my head in. why didnt they add the alarmo to the switch then???????????? i understand that most people wont have it on their bedrooms like they would have the DSs. but. this is beyond the alarmo, it's beyond the switch, it's color and life. i spent years feeling butthurt i didnt have a switch, and coming to learn that it doesnt have nearly as much heart as the previous decade, ive finally taken the copium that im ok without it lol even the most basic OSs like microsoft, linux, browsers, even the most simple apps will allow you to change the background. the switch doesnt even allow you that. and then nintendo shows up with a clock with themes??????? i *hope* that that means the wii u trauma is over, and that the switch 2 is gonna come back from the aesthetic comma...

"are you not entertained?" side note: my parents moved to a new apartment in 2018, and made loads of renovations. a friend of mine met me there once and said that our living room looked like a hospital waiting room. *and it does*. a friend of my mom's, an architect, designed that. my civil engineering mother approved that. a lot of people say _oh but we're bombarded by color all the time, so much advertising, everybody wants to sell me everything_, and yet the kardashian clan made a whole empire of greige. and people ate that up. minimalism doesnt need to mean the end of color, the end of fun, it can be about harmony. as we're reaching the mid2020s, i really, really hope that companies stop being so afraid of color, of boldness, of life. i hope that we as *people* stop being afraid of color. we all know the political/economic climate is difficult, but when has it not :/ the colors we choose for our homes, our workplaces, our personal belongings all reflect that. and we're tired of griege, and we're actively doing things about it, and that makes me feel less insane. and i know not everyone will care about this, but i can sisyphus my work until it's fun lol

A new research group used machine learning to track color changes in common materials and items, below is their findings for all color changes over time, they used 7000+ items from the 1800s to now to determine color changes in the most common items.

Below are the colors of cars by year, notice how the majority of cars are grey, white, or black compared to twenty years ago.

These aren't data points, but they are comparisons between the 'modern' homes of the 70s and 80s compared to the modern homes of today.

Carpets have equally had the same treatment of grey added to them! The most common color of carpet is now grey or beige.

Just some rambles:

So basically, I finished the entire first season. I don’t have much to add accept that I like dissecting the first season the most.

For the manga, I’m on the part Daichi starts to appear but my ADHD brain can’t handle much at once so I took a break on it to focus on the anime. It’s been neat though, and it honestly reminds me of PokeSpe’s beginnings a bit!!

I found a thread discussing Beyblade Rising though, and am absolutely FASCINATED by the events — new things, critiques both good and bad, our old characters re-appearing. On the thread, they linked Takao Aoki’s official website with the promotional art… I can’t stress enough how much I love love love seeing cute art of the characters in the manga style!!! Aaaaaa

For G-Rev, some parts are super super blurry in my mind (or I flat-out dunno what happens) bc I referenced a lot of what other Bakuten Shoot fans mentioned of events that caught my interest + watched episodes according to events and battles I like. So I have the basic outlines: Stuff like the tag-team style tournaments, BEGA with antagonists like Brooklyn, Garland, Ming Ming etc., how our main team split up, Hiro’s appearance, nerfed characters (the White Tigers, Tala etc.), big battles (mainly ones where Kai or Tyson are involved), and so on.

I look forward to watching G-Rev thoroughly in chronological order though, but getting through V-Force has been tough.

Which brings me to V-Force!!

I think a lot of criticism on it is a bit exaggerated, as it can be enjoyable too. But I can understand how story-wise, it’s seen as the weakest of all 3 seasons. It’s not bad to me, per say. It’s just super super slow where I’m at. I’m struggling to get myself motivated enough to get through it. Which I don’t fully blame, as the anime writers had to come up with filler or decrease the pace of things so the manga could catch up. It just feels like plot progression is much much slower than the 1st season.

Also watching Hilary/Hiromi and Tyson/Takao bicker feels like hell :/. It’s super repetitive ahahah. Also IDK if it’s just the dub being wonky, but Tyson’s personality isn’t pleasant for the most part (the whole issue with the “world champion” fame getting to his head). But IK the English dub made Tyson super arrogant versus sub Takao who has moments of humility and kindness, so again, it could just be a dub issue.

I admittedly wasn’t a huge huge fan of Hilary’s introduction, and she doesn’t add a lot to the story. She seemed in comparison pretty chill though in G-Rev! Maybe a character that mellows out later on?

G-Rev has my favorite art style of the 3 seasons, and fits the series in the best IMO. But I dissent with the common opinion here on the V-Force art style bc I think the characters look really cute! I do agree though that they were drawn to look too young.

Also the dub changes/censorship in this season sucks. I’ve heard from sub watchers on key lines we miss out on and saw on YouTube funny scenes they cut. The 1st season’s dub could be hilarious and goofy (err, hilariously goofy) but the V-Force dub cuts out so many funny scenes.

On key lines, there’s moments like when Kai gets out of the butler’s car driving him to his dorm. In the sub, they briefly mention his father (which is a curious question since it’s a wonder what the anime version of Susumu is like??). And the butler guy basically goes ‘You shouldn’t be so cold to your dad. You barely said anything to him’ — which indicates Kai’s relationship to his dad is rocky in the anime too. But in the dub they change it to the butler asking him about his Dranzer blade not being in the luggage. And ofc, the change in event when Wyatt goes mad instead of the kids who Team Psychic are involved with dying, and Kai living with the guilt of his friend’s death.

But I do find some of the attempts to censor kinda hilarious. Like in Episode 15, where they send out Jerry (IDK the sub name???) to test out the cyber bit beast. Now basically it explodes and the kids die, so the Team Psychic lackies in black suits rush out, grab the kid, and drive away. It’s obvious Jerry dies but the dub adds the lines “Are you okay kid?” “I think so” as they carry him limply. The censorship cover up there was so bad it was a bit funny.

He’s an absolutely encouraging sweetheart to anyone else/a beginner at whatever their passion is, though~. And either way, he’s your best cheerleader~.

Of course he still just doesn’t feel himself without his magic, or ability to do potions. I don’t think he’d find the witchcraft in our world would suit him very well.

If he was really stuck for good, of course he’d make the best of it. But if he could go home, especially if you wanted to go back with him, he’d jump at the chance. And always be on the lookout for the chance.

But that being said, I think, aside from all the world’s problems, of course, he’d find it interesting just how similar, and vastly different, things are here.

There’s these neat new tails people made for cosplay, that can move around on their own, if he’d like one to help him not miss his old one so much~!

I had to really think about what the heck he’d even do for a job, cause he’s so grumpy to everyone, retail’s just OUT, lol. And I don’t think he’d be that great at something like youtube, either ajdhsjjd

It’s hard for him to not just lay around all lazy, rather than think of stuff to do for it/actually get up and go do it. Let alone all the meetings, and interacting with fans, and the like.

So maybe actually being one of the zookeepers would be a good fit for him~. He’d be obligated to actually go, and he’d get to be around lots of different animals~. Might help him feel more at home, too~. I think he’d be pretty good at it, and the animals would probably be drawn to him~ 💛

He’d also absolutely challenge the authority here (or anywhere else that has appalling governments, especially if they’re not run by women). The state of things, and the way women and minorities are treated by white men around the world, and men in general, would absolutely appall him. He so drunk on that respecc women juice, he just can’t wrap his head around what the hell the problem is with those rich assholes in power. Put him in power, and he’ll ruthlessly show them what-for! ALL the others behind him would be women! Good grief, humans!

All in all, he doesn’t mind it here, but would also prefer to be home, where he can sleep more, and Ruggie can run around for him most of the time, lol

He absolutely loooooooves going anywhere to see wolves. He’d probably really love the wooded mountains in Europe, if you ended up there, or in Oregon/Washington if you ended up here in America~. Definitely Canada, or Alaska, too~! Just give him huge trees, snowy winters, and nearby mountains, and he feels right at home~.

Idk if he’d miss his magic a whole heck of a lot, tbh?? But he WOULD miss his friends and family! It’s just not quite the same here, though he thinks it’s beautiful and interesting to see where you came from~. 🤍

His favorite thing to do with you would probably be to go hiking, and stay in a little cabin in the woods, for a week or two~. Somewhere in one of the previously mentioned places~.

He’s the ‘good’ kind, though. He’s learned his lesson since his overblot, and he won’t outright kill people for not paying him back, or introduce drugs, or anything like that.

He’ll help people obtain what they want as legally as possible... But that doesn’t mean he still won’t be sly as hell about it, haha~.

He’ll protect loyal/good customers and the areas they live in, too~. In fact, he’d probably reDUCE crime from doing so.

He just learns all the dirty ins and outs of everything about how things run here. And as much as he’ll fight for change as the others would, because there’s no way any of that is an acceptable way for you to live, he’ll work dirty in order to take advantage of the system, to do so. What better way, right? Make the dominos fall from the inside out.

He’s a good business man, he knows doing so would also benefit him, too.

All the polution absolutely breaks his sweet little heart, and that’s one of the first things on his list to fix. Dealing with trash back home was much easier... you could just zap it all away at big trash fields. But you don’t have that luxury here.

Being that he doesn’t really like his ocotpus form (bbyyyyyy 😢💔), he probably doesn’t mind the permanent legs. At least he doesn’t have to constantly take a potion to keep them, anymore.

But it’s still awkward to get used to. And he can’t stand that he can’t breathe underwater anymore, or go too far down without dying from the pressure.

He’ll dive as often as he can~. And loves to dive, or snorkle, or just swim~, with you, if you want to join him~.

He does miss his home, if only for the beauty and familiarity it had, despite a lot of bad memories around it. But there’s no doubt he’d thrive here, in a way only he could~.

He totally believes your own version of mermaids exists, and gets excited over anything that could prove it to be true 😅

Plus, he’s just obsessed with how marine life works here in general~. If he can juggle being a freakin maffia boss, and a marine biologist just out of the pure love for it, I have no doubt he’d do it~.

Humans most likely evolved from creatures in the water?? That’s amazing~! So the ocean feels like a distant memory of a second home~! He’d love to bond over that, the romantic~ 💜

The Great Precure Watchening Part 3: Heartcatch 2 Electric Boogaloo

OKAY SO as of about 10 minutes ago I finally got through Heartcatch Precure, meaning I’ve now watched 11 seasons of Pretty Cure! GOPRI IS NEXT I’M SO EXCITED AAAAAA

Like I said in the last post, Doki Doki was...fine. It wasn’t my favourite season, but it could’ve been a lot worse, and I really liked Alice and Sebastian! (In this house we stan one (1) hypercompetent anime butler named Sebastian and it’s not the edgy bitch from Black Butler lmao.) I thought the mascots were annoying at first, but they kind of grew on me, except Raquel who was just sort of meh. I was also less than thrilled with Cure Ace because I don’t like hypercompetent child characters, but her character arc was pretty good.

Also? I adore Princess Marie Ange. I love her. Also there’s a character named SIR JOHNATHAN KLONDIKE which cracks me up every time I remember we’re supposed to take that seriously. I do wish he hadn’t been as...unintentionally creepy as he was? Like he was absolutely not meant to be a creepy weirdo but when his introductory scene ends with him, an adult, calling a middle schooler “my sweet heart” (I know that’s the name of her attack but still), that’s creepy as hell! I’m glad they changed that for the Glitter Force dub.

Speaking of GF, I still didn’t watch a full episode of GF Doki Doki, but what I did see I liked better than the original GF. The voice acting wasn’t nearly as grating and (most of) the dialogue sounded more natural. (We did still get a Very American VA trying to say “doki doki” with a straight face, so...RIP.) I might get around to actually watching it eventually but I have so many other things to watch/read that it’s pretty low on my priority list.

OKAY BUT LIKE WHY DO THEY KEEP ACCIDENTALLY CODING THEIR CHARACTERS AS LESBIANS. Rikka is so fucking gay for Mana it’s ridiculous.

Anyway.

You might have noticed the title of the post. So uh. About HaChaPre, huh?

Idk man, I just feel like if it had been made by another company I’d be calling them out for trying to rip off Heartcatch Precure. We have 4 main girls in pink, blue, yellow, and purple. The pink girl has a ponytail and is very passionate (this one is admittedly a stretch). The blue one is her best friend who loves fashion and is loud and overbearing. The yellow one is incredibly kind and is associated with kindness and sunshine. The purple one is a more experienced Cure with a family member who was lost to the bad guys as part of her backstory and winds up fighting her at some point. Also there are 3 generals, 2 men and 1 woman, who are eventually purified and revealed to be living normal human lives at the end. There’s a Dark Precure who was made to be the dark reflection of one of the Cures (granted she plays a MUCH bigger role in Heartcatch than HaCha). The fairies have very similar designs and produce the season’s collectable item from their body at the end of every episode. The main monsters are created from random civilians, whose bodies are trapped in a prison while the monster made from their hearts fights the Cures. Hell, Heartcatch was one of the first to really delve into the concept of there being more Precure aside from the protagonists, and one of the main concepts of HaChaPre is that there are Precure all over the world, all fighting the same threat!

I’m not saying that Happiness Charge was just trying to be Heartcatch again. What I am saying is that there are enough similarities that every time I noticed a new one I got more and more annoyed. It doesn’t help that I don’t like this series all that much? It’s perfectly serviceable, I guess, and I like it more than Yes5/Gogo, which is admittedly a pretty low bar. And sometimes the art direction was FUCKING AMAZING, like the part towards the end where they’re all fighting Seiji and their silhouettes are drawn overtop of scenes of the five of them together? ASTOUNDING. STELLAR. AWARD-WORTHY. I love that shit. Eat it up with a spoon. And I liked that Megumi got to cry about Blue? It was a very human, emotional moment and I liked it.

But uuuuugh if there’s one thing I’m tired of it’s love triangles. And also implying that romantic love is the strongest/best/whatever kind of love. WHAT ABOUT FRIENDSHIP, DAMMIT. Also I don’t think they should have had Seiji be in love with Megumi at all. I think it would’ve been nice if they’d just been really close friends, because it just kind of fed into the whole “boys and girls can’t be friends without at least one of them Developing Feelings” bullshit narrative that I’m so sick of. (Had an ex tell me that to my face once. There’s a reason he’s my ex. That and I’m a lesbian now lol oops)

Cure Honey/Yuuko remains as my favourite, though. I adore her. She was perfect. Girl just wants to eat good food with her friends! She loves cooking! And dogs! And eating! And making candy! Plus her yellow overalls with the heart pockets were super cute and I want them.

Oh shit there’s another similarity between Heartcatch and HaChaPre: the yellow Precure is the best one /jk

Just finished watching a walkthrough of Tales of Zestiria, and I must say it is as HYPE as its opening.

My favourite parts:

Sorey and Mikleo bickering — actually, every sormik scene

I swear 99.9% of Mikleo revolves around Sorey, the other 0.1% is him getting teased by everyone (this could be his biggest writing strength and flaw depending on who you ask)

The whole ‘we’re married’ scene when they get to Rolance, and the whole joke of Sergei continuing to think Rose and Sorey are married

It’s like the writers of Zestiria were like Hmm. How do we explore the dark elements in this game by showing how people in Age of Chaos possess immense malevolence in their hearts and align it to the main story, and then went, Got it. Assassins. (Story of how Shepherd Sorey went gallivanting around with a princess *cough cough redactedbecauseshedoesn’texistinthegame* and an assassin~~)

Overall I must say the Zestiria cast is awesome, I really like all the characters and how they are fleshed out very neatly with their own quirks and goals. Edna being god tier with her monotone sarcasm (she is QUEEN....), Zaveid being that dumbass that looks like a stripper (HIM.... baby...), Mikleo being ultimate waifu and how his comedic moments shine with Edna and everyone else when he’s being teased, Sorey being so pure and cute when he geeks out with Mikleo and how his character arc is just such a refreshing take on the hero archetype, Dezel with his stoicness Imma Get Revenge but also his cast knowledge and love for animals, Rose for exploring the side of reality in the malevolence in people’s hearts and her :3 smile and her determination to get things done and how she’s so different from Sorey which only brings out her charm, Lailah with her awful puns and eccentricity and quiet compassion. And uh, Alisha for being the bait-and-switch heroine but a decent character with her own personal goals that are separate from the main character. Sergei and Lucas are also very lovable.

As for the setting, Rolance and Hyland as two kingdoms seem a little small scale compared to lets say if they added one more kingdom, but seeing as this is a 2015 game I think the exploration map is pretty good (then I compare to Xenoblade Chronicles which came out in 2010 and just change the subject). Love the outside game mechanics Giant’s Fist, Wind Stepping and Water Shield (when Mikleo protects Sorey with that!!! And Sorey calls him out by saying he’s been practicing it for a long time... And you recall every time Mikleo asks Dezel and the other older seraphim to teach him stuff so he can get stronger to help Sorey and how 99.9% of his character revolves around Sorey). ‘That spinny mist thing sure gets the job done’ haha.

Yamato Hotsuin? For the character ask?

An ask about Devil Survivor 2! I’m so happy! :DDD

First impression : a silver haired character, yay! (I have major weakness against characters with black and silver hair, dunno why) ...wait, why are you throwing my character (Hibiki) to the dungeon!? D: too fast kinky boy!

Impression now : he is one of my favorite characters (second only to Hibiki actually. Hibiki is still my favorite troll in SMT series) and one of the characters with a tremendous character development from his time in the original Devil Survivor 2 and the Triangulum arc of DS 2 : Record Breaker. He goes from someone who didn’t even expect anything from his subordinates and the people he and his family had sacrificed their lives to protect and unable to trust anyone to someone who sacrificed his existence in the world in order to protect his best friend and trust that his friends will be able to defeat the enemy that they can’t defeat on their own. That is really major development. Yamato who had only saw civilians as helpless lambs who needs protection from the dragon (his family), had began to open his mind about the possibility that human beings had after meeting Hibiki, who had surpassed his every expectation and become his sworn friend. He also admits that he didn’t know anything about how civilians live their life, so he trusts Hibiki to show him that unknown world. His wish to explore the world after Triangulum arc just makes me want to cry, because he finally found a reason why he wants to protect the world other than just his family responsibility. His social skill other than to lead people in time of crisis is zero and it’s just so funny seeing all the innuendos he keeps throwing to Hibiki (and my man Hibiki accepted them with straight face lol). So yeah, one of my all time favorites.

Favorite moment : Hibiki feeding him takoyaki. His reaction to junk food is so adorable oh my god. Not to mention it immediately became his favorite and he ordered his chefs to cook the best takoyaki on their last day for Hibiki and his team is just aaaaaa--- but I also love the scene when Yamato said that he is going to explore the world and Hibiki offered to come with him. His happiness when he heard that is just so pure Yamato stop you are giving me heart attack.

Idea for a story : I do have a fanfic in mind about a crossover between DS 2 and Persona 5, but I have to replay DS 2 so I won’t mistake anything. It’s been years since I last played :’D

Unpopular opinion : I hate DS 2 the Animation. Oh my god they do Yamato so wrong and out of character there, or more likely, they never gave him a chance to develop at all unlike in the game. While I love Yamato, I didn’t really like his merit system. Not that I like Ronaldo’s ending too. But still the the merit system felt too forced in his ending. Not to mention that in the ending Yamato would never learn to enjoy his life at all. Sure it’s great if people can be rewarded due to their own skills and hard work without nepotism, but the strong people aren’t always the kind ones. While human kind will be able to advance even quicker than before, it also will be a greatly competitive driven one.

Favorite relationship : Yamato/Hibiki all the way. As lovers or friends, these two are too precious aaaa--- the way these two trust each other, how both helped the other to grow and develop as a person (more to Yamato than Hibiki because Hibiki is a blank main character, but due to Yamato giving him chances to develop as a leader Hibiki became the great force of mankind he is), and the way both acted as foil to each other. Hibiki always treat things jokingly (I mean, have you seen his dialogue choices? “I will call it dead meat.” “Rainboowwwww.” “Nicaeaman!” “*pants Daichi*” “*gasp* Pervert!” “Yamato said that he loves me.” my god this troll), but most of the times when he had a meeting with Yamato he was completely serious. Hibiki is probably the only person alive that dared to joke around with Yamato and Yamato actually think it interesting. Yamato always praised Hibiki whenever he did his job well, even amused if Hibiki replied arrogantly. In return, Hibiki teaches Yamato to enjoy his life. He promises to teach Yamato how civilian live and even asks to accompany him on his world trip. Also, whenever Yamato acted selfishly (like threatening to kill Hibiki’s friends if Hibiki didn’t choose his ending so that Hibiki would ‘come to his senses’) Hibiki won’t let him walk all over him and smacked some sense to his stubborn head. The two of them changed to better people because of each other and that’s just one of my favorite dynamic in relationship and I’m dying of thirst because I had already exhausted all contents for this ship in pixiv, tumblr, AO3, and even fanfiction.net aaaa---

Favorite headcanon : Yamato’s Cerberus is his most loyal and oldest Demon, so even when he had stronger Demons, Cerberus will forever be in his Demon lists even if he didn’t use him as team member. Since he is more experienced with Demon Summoning app, he knew all the secrets that he never told Hibiki until Hibiki finally found out and got annoyed. (Equipping passive skill anti-fire on summer so he didn’t feel too much of the heat? Hibiki is appalled that Yamato saw him sweating buckets and didn’t tell him about it. So that’s why he could still wear those heavy trench coat in summer. Damn you, Yamato.)

My favorite media (songs, novel, manga, anime): definitely the novels!

My favorite novel’s volume: AAAAAA I have my top 3. Last place is for Summertime Reload, second place is for Over the Dimension and the first place goes to The Deceiving. I should re-read them, though.

My favorite manga’s volume: the whole storyline of Haruka and Takane. I have to admit it, I don't like the manga as much as the novels but I prefer the manga version of their backstory.

My favorite episode of MCA: the 6th! I liked seeing the Yuukei Quartet, even back then when I didn't know basically anything about the series. Even though I've always hated the way they handled Takane at the end of the episode.

What I liked the most about MCA: probably the voice acting. I think their voices were pretty spot-on. Even recently when I watched Kagerou Daze - in a day's - I still liked the voice acting.

What I disliked the most about MCA: I know KagePro is a series that covers songs, novels, manga and only at the end of it you should watch the anime, but it was the first thing I saw about it and I think they could have handled it better. It's just confusing and I think it was too rushed.

How did I find out about KagePro: I found the MV of Summertime Record and I fell in love instantly, then I discovered the anime was right about to start and I gave it a try. But what made me get really into it were the songs, definitely.

How did I get into the fandom: I don't think I remember exactly? I would say I got into the fandom for real just recently, because I usually enjoy things alone and the only thing I look for are the fanarts!

What I like the most about KagePro: the characters, without any doubt. They became so important to me and everything about the series means so much now. It made me grow as a person, it made me go through a very, very hard time but I think I wouldn't be who I am now if I didn't find out about KagePro in that exact moment of my life.

What I like the most about fandom: again, I'm not that into it even now but the first things that comes to my mind are the many, many talented artists.

What would I tell Jin if I’d met him (and know Japanese): thank you so, so much, Jin. You helped me find friends in these characters and I'm so glad I found out about Kagerou Project.

How did I survive August 15th: oh well it's coming up soon, and if it will be this hot tHAT'S WHAT WILL KILL ME.

Random headcanon: mmmmmh ok, so, I will say this and I know I will get a lot of hate but I think Kano and Kido don't see each other as siblings? I mean, this doesn't necessarily mean I ship them or that everybody should ship them immediately, but I just believe that the relationship Kano and Kido have with Seto individually and the one between each other is different. This could mean lovers or it could mean best friends, you decide. But that's what I've always gotten from them.

1. What is your hobby? 

I draw and do cosplay! And I guess making Myu reviews counts too?

2. What is your special skill? 

I don’t really think I have any special skills?? Unless you consider my (most of the time) fast reflexes and how my left index finger makes a little click when I bend it :0 .

3. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

I guess my strengths are in my artistic abilities and my way of speaking?? Like the way I handle words and such. And I think giving advice is also one of my strengths. My weaknesses I guess are my wavering faith/belief in myself and how self deprecating I can be at times. Yeah I think that’s all :0 .

4. What is your favorite color?

I actually don’t have one favorite color so I’ll just list colors/color combos I like:

-Red, blue and white -Pink, blue/teal and purple (with either gold or silver accents) (and maybe white)

-Midnight blue

5. What is your favorite animal? 

I really like birds but sometimes dolphins are pretty neat :^ .

6. Which food are you into lately? 

Ice cream and cup noodles (not together) I think...I’m not really sure, I eat too much R.I.P .

7. What is a thing you never lose to anyone?

I think it’s my pride/dignity. I know, it’s a pretty bold answer but I honestly can’t think of anything else? And I can’t really think of a time where I crashed and burned so hard that I lost either one of those things. 

8. What is your most treasured item? 

I have too many treasured items but I’d think letters I received from friends and my parents are my most treasured.

9. What is your cooking specialty? 

I don’t really cook so I’m not really sure :^( .

10. What is the thing you want the most at the moment? 

To de-stress and to be happy/enjoy myself.

Death...

12. What is the thing you were happy about this year? 

I’m happy that I got to become closer to some people and I was able to make new friends!! I’m also happy that I got to step out of my comfort zone at times and I got to experience a whole lot of stuff this year.

13. What is the thing you were sad about this year? 

Oh there’s a lot but, I don’t wanna mention that on here.

14. What is the thing you regretted this year? 

I guess I had some missed opportunities but there are just too many things to mention.

15. What is the thing you were angry about this year? 

Too many to mention.

16. What is the job that gave you a sense of fulfillment this year? 

I’m still a student so I don’t have a job but, I joined my school’s diplomatic services so I guess that’s it!

17. What has changed about you since you entered the com-myu-nity? 

I think my confidence has gone up, especially with making new friends. I think my writing and observational abilities got a bit better too since I started making Myu reviews.

18. Which character would you play in myu? 

For an Inner Senshi, I’d love to play Jupiter or Venus. For an Outer Senshi, I’d love to play Pluto or Saturn. As for villains, I’d love to play Zoisite or Black Lady. But to be honest if I were given any role I didn’t mention, it would be pretty interesting!!

19. If you were to form a collab now, who would it be with? 

Uhhhhh I’m not sure if this is meant for the com-myu-nity or not but if it is then I’m still not sure because I’d love to collab with anyone!!

20. What do you love about Sera Myu nowadays? 

I love how it’s still ongoing and how it never fails to charm people. Sure some people prefer the older Myus than new or it’s the other way around but, I think most people get a certain charm from both sides which makes the world of Myu so fun to be in.

21. Which cast member catches your attention the most at the moment? 

A cast member that always catches my attention is Hikari of course but at the moment it’s any of the actresses I follow on Instagram. I don’t really have one in particular because every time they post, it definitely catches my attention.

22. Which cast member would you want as your significant other? 

AW GEE I WONDER WHO. My forever love Hikari of course ;v; .

23. If you were to marry a cast member, who would it be? 

Same answer as mentioned above :^) .

24. If you would go to a deserted island, which cast member would you like to go with you? 

Wow these questions are so specific. I honestly don’t know?? I mean, I would say Hikari but I feel like I’m putting her in too many random situations with myself lmao so maybe I’d bring Momoko (Okuyama). She’d be super fun to be with!!

25. If you were born again, which cast member would you like to be? 

Hmm, I’m not really sure. Maybe Anza?? I wanna see how it feels to have a nice voice and to do all sorts of dance moves and of course, how it feels to be Sailor Moon!!

26. Which Sera Myu production would you want to be a part of? 

Maybe Saturn Fukkatsu? Because of all the circus stuff?? But maybe a Stars Myu like StarsK or Le Mouvment Final because Stars is such a fun and emotional arc I just, aaaaaaaaaaaaaa. If you haven’t noticed by now, I’m very indecisive on most of the questions.

27. If you were to create your own kingdom, what kind of country would you want it to be? 

A peaceful one where all people get along and see each others as equals. One where people can enjoy their lives to the fullest.

28. What is an interesting book or manga you read recently? 

The Promised Neverland!! Still not done reading it though.

29. What is an interesting movie you watched recently? 

I haven’t watched any movies recently :^( .

30. What is your favorite Sera Myu song at the moment? 

I haven’t listened to much Myu music as of recent but I always love listening to La Soldier. :>

31. What is your favorite Sera Myu song choreography at the moment? 

I never really had a favorite choreography but the one I keep thinking of now is the one for Honoo no Messenger because of that one TLC clip lmao.

32. What is your favorite Sera Myu costume at the moment? 

Eternal Sailor Moon (both Bandai and Nelke).

33. What is your favorite Myu at the moment? 

I’ve only seen the First Stage so far (and I still have to watch EienK aaaaaa) but my favorite is Stars Kaiteiban/StarsK!!

34. What is your favorite Myu cast? 

Stuck between Saturn Fukkatsu and StarsK...

35. Is there something you say a lot recently? 

Frick, yeehaw, o and heck.

36. What would you do if you could plan a Fan Kansha? 

I’m really not sure of this since I’ve never planned events except for birthdays. I think I’d just keep it as it is?? Well in terms of what’s in the event at least. But maybe I would add in some stuff for engagement with foreign fans? So at least they’ll be able to participate/enjoy the event somehow.

37. What do you hope to see Sera Myu doing in the future?

I hope to see them branching out more to their international audience. They’re beginning to do that with the Super Live but hopefully they do the same with other productions. And I hope they have more audience engagement like Bandai Myu’s Fan Kanshas.

38. What kind of person do you want to be in 5 years? 

I want to be a person that I’d be satisfied with. I hope that I’ll be happy where I am and I have some kind of fulfillment. 

39. What has been a memorable concert or event this year? 

I’ve only been to one concert in my entire life but I think the most memorable event I’ve had so far this year was my very first sleepover with my friends!!

40. What do you want to do in your private life this year? 

Relax I guess?? I don’t know, I haven’t thought about it especially since I hardly get to do anything because of school.

41. What kind of job would you like to do in the future? 

I’d wanna be an animator or a psychologist! And if those don’t work out then I just wanna be a freelance artist :^) .

42. Do you have a hairstyle you would like to try in the future? 

I’d really wanna try and get an undercut.

43. What Sera Myu merchandise would you love to have?

Hm, maybe the Bandai Myu box sets? Or maybe just DVDs in general. Oh and posters too!! I also wanna get a light stick :0 . A.K.A I want too much ;v; .

44. Where would you want Sera Myu to come to? 

It would be really nice if Sera Myu was a global thing but, I really hope they come here to the Philippines!! Whether it’s at a con or an actual stage performance, I just really wanna see one/see the cast ;v; .

45. If you could have a holiday with any cast member, what do you want to do?

Fictober Day Twenty-One: Impressive, Truly

Anime: Little Witch Academia

Pairing: Hannah England x Akko Kagari

“Impressive, truly,” Ursula said, tears in her eyes.

"You kids did a bang-up job," Croix said, raising a glass in honour of the cast and crew. She was giddy enough for everyone to question just what was in that glass of hers.

The cast and crew raised their own glasses in celebration, kicking off the after party. The play had been a tremendous success, going off without a hitch. The stage production was impeccable and the actors were flawless. Hannah and Amanda had given their best performance yet ("The definitive Beatrice and Benedick!" Croix proclaimed), and the audience swooned and sweated at the romance and drama between Akko and Diana's Claudio and Hero. Their practice sessions had eliminated the problems in their performances, but the resulting side effects couldn't be ignored.

Diana could see a gap between Hannah and Akko, as well as the tension that filled that gap. She approached her roommate and shook her from her absentminded state.

"Is something on you mind, Hannah?" she asked. "Or perhaps someone?"

Hannah squinted at Diana suspiciously.

"I apologize for my atrocious timing the other night," Diana said. "I interrupted you two at a critical moment—"

"W-w-we were just practicing," Hannah stuttered.

Diana chuckled. "I've walked in on your "practices" before..."

"Hey!" Hannah blushed furiously. "Don't bring that up! Especially not around Akko!"

"Naturally. That matter is between you and Barbara." She took a sip from her glass. "Very private. I can see why you wouldn't want Akko of all people to know..."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means that you recognize that Akko has the same capacity for jealousy as you do," Diana explained. "Tell me, are you still jealous that I'm the one tutoring Akko rather than you?"

Hannah pouted, downing the rest of her drink before answering. "Why do you ask?"

Diana frowned. "Have you given up on our little competition? I expected more from you, Hannah."

"I... I haven't... I..." Hannah had been too focused on Akko to think of a way of usurping Diana's place in Akko's heart. She may have beaten Diana for the lead role, but her rival had stolen the role opposite Akko. But Akko practiced with me, not her, she remembered. I'm getting closer to Akko. And there's also... that...

It was as if Diana was reading her mind. "I suppose you've made some progress," she said mildly. "After all, I've never kissed Akko under any circumstances..."

"D-Diana!"

"Oh, there's no need to get so flustered over a kiss that resulted over a dare. Are you still feeling awkward over that?"

Hannah her head away. "Not saying."

Diana chuckled at her friend's childishness. "When was the last time you said a word to Akko that wasn't written by William Shakespeare?"

"B-before we practiced the other day..."

"By the Nine Olde Witches," Diana sighed. "Go talk to her, Hannah. Or I swear I'll tell Amanda about your short-lived crush on her."

Hannah didn't need to be told twice. She made her way over to her friend. "Um, hello, Akko," Hannah said shyly. "This party sure is lively, huh?"

Akko nodded. "Do you wanna... go somewhere quieter?" Her tone implied "somewhere we won't be overheard."

"Sure." Hannah tentatively placed her hand on Akko's arm, and once she was sure Akko wouldn't shrug it off, she led Akko to a nearby room the cast had been using to change in and out of their costumes as well as storing them. The pair sat down on a bench near a closet used to store the costumes.

"You were great in the play, by the way," Hannah said, desperately reaching for something to talk about. "Really fantastic."

Akko laughed bashfully. "High praise from the leading lady. I couldn't imagine anyone else in the role."

Not even Diana? Hannah thought. "I've never really thought of myself as a leading lady," she said. "I've always been more of a side character." She wasn't just being modest; she had long felt unable to escape the confines of Diana's shadow.

"You're more important than that," Akko said. She realized as the words left her mouth that she ought to have said "no one is a side character," but what she said felt right.

"Th-thank you." Hannah wasn't sure what to think about that comment.

They smiled at each other and silence fell between them. Not an awkward silence, a pleasant one. They held each other's gaze until they were overcome by embarrassment, their eyes diverting to rest on each other's bodies—costumes. Hannah thought Akko was dashing. Akko thought Hannah looked beautiful.

"See something you like," Hannah joked. Not that Akko would be looking at me in that way...

"I-I was just looking at your dress," Akko lied. "Croix really outdid herself with your costume."

"It may look pretty, but this thing is a nightmare," Hannah said. "Akko, would you be a dear and help me out of this dress?"

"What!?"

"What?" Hannah was confused until she saw the look on Akko's face. "I mean can you unlace it for me! I didn't mean—" Hannah was too embarrassed to say what she didn't mean.

"Oh, um, right." Akko got off the bench, kneeled behind Hannah, and began unlacing her dress. A shiver ran down Hannah's spine as she felt Akko's fingers against her back. She slipped out of the costume, thankful for the slip she'd been wearing underneath.

"Thank you, Akko."

"N-no problem." Akko fidgeted, unsure of what to do when there was a pretty girl sitting in front of her wearing a tiny wisp of a dress. She frantically searched for something to distract herself. In true Akko fashion, she managed to do the exact wrong thing to divert her attention.

"Your hair is a bit messed up," she said, reaching out to brush it back into place.

Hannah was about to stutter out thanks, but she realized Akko was actively playing with her hair. She ran her fingers through the auburn tresses, toying with the ends. "A-Akko!" Hannah wasn't sure if she wanted Akko to stop or not.

"Your hair is so soft," Akko said idly, twirling her fingers through Hannah's hair. She became aware of what she was doing and started messing it up on purpose.

"S-Stop!" Hannah giggled. She ought to have been mad at Akko for tangling up her hair, but she could only think about how it felt to have Akko's fingers on her, trailing through her hair... "I'm going to get mad, you know."

"Haha. I'm sorry." Akko straightened Hannah's hair out again, stroking the strands back to normal. She brought her fingers down to the ends of her hair, accidentally brushing the bare skin of Hannah's shoulders, eliciting an embarrassed squeak.

"Aah! I'm sorry!" Akko yelped. "I should probably change too." She removed her own costume—an arduous affair due to its similarity to Croix's outfit. Underneath her costume she had been wearing her sleeping outfit, a t-shirt and shorts. However, the only thing Hannah registered was—

"...legs..."

"Wh-what?" Akko realized that Hannah was currently mesmerized by her legs.

"Y-you have... really nice legs..." she absentmindedly stroked Akko's calf. "Do you work out?" Akko is... actually kinda hot, isn't she?

"I mean, I did a lot more sports and physical activity before I came to Luna Nova, and—aaaaaa! Hannah!" Akko wriggled as Hannah prodded and pinched her leg. "C'mon! That tickles!" she laughed. "I'm warning you!"

Suddenly the girls heard the sound of approaching voices and the girls realized that the two of them were alone in a room together, half-dressed with Hannah's hands on Akko's leg.

"Someone's going to see us like this!" Hannah said, panicked.

"Quick," Akko said. "In here!" She unceremoniously dragged Hannah with her into the closet that held the extra costumes. No sooner were they hidden than the door slammed open and two people entered. Unfortunately for Akko and Hannah, they were stuck standing between two dresses, face-to-face and altogether too close for comfort—but moving posed the risk of making noise which would tip off the interlopers.

"I just want to talk," Diana said.

"Yeah, well maybe I don't want to talk, Cavendish," Amanda replied.

"Then what do you want, O'Neill?"

"Who says I want anything?"

"You're being obtuse."

"And here I thought I was being acute."

"You really are impossible. What I'm trying to say is—" Diana spotted Hannah and Akko's discarded costumes in front of the closet and her famously brilliant mind connected the dots.

"What?" Amanda demanded. Diana deftly directed her frenemy's attention to the abandoned costumes with her eyes. Amanda smirked and winked at her.

All of this occurred without Hannah and Akko's notice.

Diana and Amanda proceeded to argue about seemingly nothing for an exhaustingly long time. Akko and Hannah didn't so much as suspect that their friends knew they were hiding in the closet. They were distracted by their proximity to each other, their rising temperatures, their hot breath dancing on each other's skin...

"How long are they going to do this?" Akko whispered. "I can't stand here much longer..." Hannah's too close! she thought. I can see everyone of her little freckles! Even the ones on her shoulders, and... I need to get out of here fast!

"Just hold on, okay," Hannah hissed. "We don't want to get caught in this situation!" I can feel my legs brushing against hers, but I can't move! she screamed internally. Those legs of hers just aren't fair! She slipped her hand in Akko's and interlaced their fingers to reassure her.

Eventually, Amanda and Diana stormed out of the room, high-fiving once they were out of earshot.

"Thank the Nine," Hannah breathed. "I thought they were going to argue forever."

"I thought we were goners." Akko sighed with relief and relaxed, leaning against Hannah, who squeaked at the sudden contact.

"A-Akko!" The closet was sweltering and by then the two girls were beginning to sweat. They were in no state to be this close. She's too close! I can't handle this!

"I just need a second," Akko said slowly. "I'm a little light-headed." Why are my knees so weak all of a sudden? She rested her head on Hannah's shoulder.

"Oh, okay," Hannah said weakly. Her head was swimming as well. I can't turn Akko down... She squeezed Akko's hand gently, rubbing her thumb over Akko's.

Akko blushed. Hannah's so sweet. She drew away from Hannah. Even in the darkness, with only a sliver of light from between the closet doors, Akko could see that... "You're really pretty, Hannah."

"Wh-what are you saying all of a sudden!?" Hannah knew she was pretty. Lots of girls were pretty. But hearing it from Akko—especially right now—was more than she could bear.

"I mean it Hannah," Akko insisted. "You're really, really pretty." She looked almost hypnotized, her eyes clouded, her lips slightly parted. She looked at Hannah as if she was the only girl in the world...

"D-don't look at me like that," Hannah said, voicing the absolute opposite of her feelings. She didn't want Akko to look away from her. She didn't want Akko to look at anyone else. "If you keep looking at me like that I'm going to..."

"You're going to what?" Akko asked, already knowing the answer. Hannah was making the same face she was during their practice, their near-kiss. She let go of Hannah and placed her hands on either side of Hannah's face so she couldn't look away. "Hannah..."

"Akko..." She couldn't resist any longer, and Akko offered no resistance herself. She did the only thing she could do; she closed her eyes, threw her arms around Akko's neck, and kissed her full on the mouth.

Their first kiss had come too soon, like taking a bite from unripe fruit. At that point their fledgling feelings had yet to develop into conscious desire; the kiss had only confused them and pushed them further into denial.

They had no such inhibitions now. Hannah kissed Akko passionately with the intent of permanently burning the impression of her lips into Akko's memory. She wanted all of Akko's attention, and Akko was only too happy to comply.

Akko was besides herself with joy. She had somehow charmed Hannah from an enemy into not only a friend, but someone who couldn't look away from her. She never would've imagined she'd be making out with Hannah, but since when did her life ever go according to expectations?

The two girls said nothing, thought nothing. They gave themselves over to their repressed attraction and enjoyed the ride. Akko's kisses were tentative at first due to inexperience, but she quickly got over that. Hannah kissed her relentlessly, pulling her close to her body as Akko tangled her fingers in her hair. Their was little finesse to their kissing, but it wasn't that kind of make out session anyway.

They emerged from the closet half an hour later, when the heat and stuffy air became too much to bear. The girls were slick with sweat until Hannah gracefully magicked it away and cooled them down. Without saying a word, Hannah and Akko changed back into their uniforms, stored their costumes properly and returned to the party.

They were beyond flustered at this point; they were comatose. Once the emotional high wore off, the logical parts of their brains tried to process what had just happened and hit a wall. They were incapable of articulating a response or acknowledging what had just happened. The only indication that something had happened in the hour they were missing from the party was the way they clutched at each other's hand, strained with nervous tension but unwilling to let go.
