Fic idea: Hualian went on a “short”(for an immortal) honeymoon trip where they took human forms and wandered around for a while. One mission forced Xie Lian to take a female form for whatever reason, and on that mission, Hualian end up meeting JFM and fucking around in lotus pier for a while. (Xie Lian stays in female form when around others to avoid suspicion, even if it makes him a bit uncomfortable. Hua Cheng is apologetic that he wasn’t the one caught as a girl since he wouldn’t really care.) Of course, once people start making Eyes at Xie Lian, Hua Cheng is like, NOPE, we are OUT, and drags them both out of there.
Hualian being hualian, Xie Lian ends up pregnant and gives birth to their little Xie Ying! He goes by Wei Ying around others though, a little joke Hua Cheng chose when they were asked for their names(Wei, as in character for ghost)
Anyway, Hualian being Hualian are so wrapped up in themselves when not caring for A-Ying that they forget to tell the other gods, having cut them off at the beginning of their honeymoon for the sake of privacy. And so, when they head out for a quick fight with a ghoul, leaving their A-Ying in an inn, no one is there to stop the ghoul from escaping once it steals their memories.
Hualian, minus the last five years of memories, head up to the heavens none the wise of the lost time and their forgotten child. No god wants to even BEGIN to ask for DETAILS about their honeymoon(Ew!) so it’s a long time before anyone notices anything wrong.
Idk this could be played really seriously and sad, for all the years they lost and all the pain their son went through…
Or…
Tumblr media
Xie Lian and Hua Cheng can just storm Cloud Recesses and kidnap their child back…

I've been thinking of a soulmates style au wherein hualian discover they are soulmates after XL saves HC as a child.
In this AU meeting your soulmate is incredibly rare and very auspicious, so even though HC is a commoner he is recognized as XL's future spouse and taken into the care of the royal family, but sequestered away from XL to maintain decorum. They see each other now and again, and interact during events and gatherings, but otherwise are kept separated. HC is delighted and pines and generally dreams of the day he gets to officially marry XL and be his wife.
(I like to personally use the term 'wife' in danmei specifically to mean 'the spouse that marries into the home of the other', so as he is marrying into XL's home, he would be the bride in this scenario.)
XL ascends, as in canon. Unlike in canon, when a soulmate ascends, so too does your soulmate, and HC ascends with XL.
XL also descends and falls from godhood, as in canon. Ever so magnanimous, JW ~kindly~ allows HC to stay in heaven upon XL's request, as HC didn't break any rules. HC is, however, bound to the heavens, unable to descend to seek out XL.
Centuries pass, and HC becomes known as a God of constancy, faithfulness, and marriage. He is regarded with both awe and pity. Poor HC, who remains loyal to a faithless god of misfortune. Isn't it incredible, how much he is willing and able to endure to uphold the sanctity of his marriage vows? He has a large faction of worshippers, mostly brides and wives in arranged, unhappy marriages, who pray to him for strength.
Few, if any, remember that Xianle fell before HC had the chance to marry XL. That all this time he has remained steadfast and true to his fiancé, rather than his husband. The gods that do look upon him with scorn and judgment. No one expects him to remain loyal to the likes of XL, so who does he think he is putting on this show for?
It doesn't matter what those gods, or even what his worshippers think of him, however. HC is loyal to XL out of love, and devotion. He is not suffering out of obligation. His only pain is that felt by his fiancé, and the pain of separation forced upon him.
And despite what the gods and his worshippers assume, he is not a long-suffering bride who sits and pines for his beloved. While he yearns for the day he can reunite with XL, HC spends his time playing the long-con. After all, is the keeping of house and home not one of the primary roles of any good wife? And the heavens are so steeped in filth. Certainly not worthy of his husband to be.
As for XL, he strives and toils to regain his godhood under the weight of his lost worshippers and the scorn of the gods who once praised him.
More than that, he worries, often, about HC, and his misplaced loyalty. Every now and then XL hears another tale of HC's endless, unshakeable loyalty, but with those tales also come stories of that devotion being nothing more than a shackle. Nothing is ever said of HC's love for his husband, or HC's happiness, only his impressive endurance in the face of obligation to a worthless husband. XL fears that HC is little more than a long suffering would-be bride, held back by XL's mistakes and the fate that bound them together without either of their say.
So XL does his best to regain his godhood, so that he may re-enter heaven and finally free HC from himself for good.
When, after 800 years, XL finally ascends once again, nothing is as he had expected it to be. There is a crowd, but no one is casting judgment or disparaging him. Instead, it seems as though he has ascended amidst the start of a lavish celebration.
As XL stands amidst a sea of joyful revelry, a procession slowly makes its way towards him, and at its end, a bridal sedan.
When the sedan stops before him and a hand moves aside its curtain, XL reaches out to grasp it without thinking. Gently, he leads the bride off of the sedan and onto solid ground.
XL looks up at a veil of opaque crimson silk. He cannot see the face behind it, does not even know, after all this time, what HC would even look like... But in this moment he knows, unquestionably, that this is not just any bride, but his bride.
Part of XL recalls that one of his main reasons to rise to godhood again was to let HC go, to finally allow him freedom from the weight of being tethered to someone like XL. And yet, any thoughts of breaking his vows to HC dry up in his mouth. He has thought of so many ways to say it, so many ways to cut HC loose of him without bringing HC any more pain, but he cannot bring himself to say any of them.
The hand in his grasp turns, and laces their fingers together. His bride's hand is strong, XL observes as though from a distance, unflinching and sure.
"Hello, gege," HC says. His voice is deeper than XL remembers, richer and more vibrant than anything he has experienced for decades, if not centuries.
"Ah, San Lang, I'm sorry, " he manages to force out through his shock. His laugh is pitchy and uneven even to his own ears. "I'm afraid I'm not quite prepared...!"
"It's okay, gege." A thumb carasses his knuckles tenderly, and XL's throat tightens. "I already have everything ready for us."

(Unedited) Land of Tender + Post Marriage Hualian interaction
(There's no title either lol)
Fragment:
"M-my Lord!! I have been loyal to you, the rest of my girls just didn't get it!!" She weeps. "My Lord, it's true that I tried to poison you the first time we met, and... Several other times, but I've changed!! You, you, YOU GAVE ME A HEART!!" "Didn't you say I 'broke your heart' just moments ago?" Hua Cheng points out bemused. "WELL IT DOESN'T MATTER, I-- I LOVE YOU!!" Xie Lian turns around with a dangerous expression. His face is full of black lines as he finally steps forward in front of Hua Cheng and slashes with his bare hand. Not an ounce of spiritual power was needed to turn that demon into a literal pulp. Xie Lian shakes his hand to get rid of the substance—that can't be called blood—and turns around to face his husband. "Now I see why this business was so urgent. I'm glad to have come personally." He says plainly, but the detachment makes it sound dangerous.
"Your Highness, you're here." Hua Cheng turns around, making the silver jewelry ring lightly.
"Of course, I--"
"Wait. Cover your mouth and nose. You can use Ruoye." The ghost interrupts.
"Oh, ok but why?-" Xie Lian tries to ask, when Hua Cheng turns suddenly.
His eye shines even in the middle of the dark of the cavern, and his next steps are cautious.
His gaze narrows, and when Xie Lian turns to look in his direction, a field of red flowers is seen ahead.
"Oh, what is-?"
An arm stops him from moving forward.
"Be careful, Your Highness. These aren't regular flowers." Hua Cheng warns through the communication array.
What could possibly be so serious as to warn me through that method? And he's even calling me by my title. Xie Lian thinks.
But his concern is quickly answered when the ground shifts, like something was moving underneath.
Roots rise from the ground, and one of the flowers blooms into a beautiful tall woman.
Her skin is pale and tender, long dark hair cascades like a straight silk all the way to her calves, and she is dressed with nothing but a soft pink lipstick to enhance her face.
Long dark nails adorn the hands that are placed in her hips.
She frowns slightly, her notably sweet voice tampered with irritation. Or fear.
"L-lord Chengzhu!! What are you doing here? We already paid our debt!!" She rages, using an imposing tone.
"Of course, I know. I'm not here for that. But I'm expecting you didn't forget about our agreement?" Hua Cheng replied icily.
Xie Lian had barely ever seen the ghost king speak like that. What kind of deal could they have?
He blushed slightly and shook his head. If he doesn't visit brothels, why would he make THAT kind of deal? He scolded himself. ...Unless that's the reason why he doesn't visit such places.
"Of course I haven't forgotten. We pay our rent, unlike anyone else in ghost City, maintain order, and are forced to stay here to wait until you feed us." Her naturally alluring voice contrasted with the current stern tone, gives her an air of elegance.
FEED THEM!!?? Xie Lian automatically recited sutras internally to erase any impure thoughts about the exchange. Imagining Hua Cheng like that... Xie Lian gripped the hem of his robes.
"And what happened this time?" Hua Cheng arched an eyebrow.
"What do you mean? We have been following your rules, however unjust they are." The woman proceeds to cross her arms.
"Admirable," Hua Cheng sneers. "You can keep that attitude even after one of them snuck to bite my residents."
"SHE'S A YOUNG ONE!!" The flower excuses. "And that wouldn't have happened if you fed us more generously."
"Maybe I'd feed you better if you paid in time."
The woman scoffs. "Are you gonna kick us out?"
"You know the rules. I'm the only one who is willing to shelter you, and the only one that can feed you without either falling for your tricks or running out of power."
The woman winces. Just then, another one of the flowers blooms into a young beauty, and swings her claws towards the prince.
Xie Lian has a perfect instinct for danger, and dodges effortlessly. When the young one swings back for a second strike, the ghost king grabs her by the arm and lifts her up in distaste.
He turns to the first woman and arches an eyebrow.
Her face is finally showing her distress and she kneels to the ground.
"PLEASE LEAVE HER ALONE!! THIS ONE HAS FAILED TO EDUCATE HER PROPERLY AND IS WILLING TO TAKE HER PUNISHMENT INSTEAD!!!" She begs.
"This is the third time, Lady. A couple innocent passerby, the brothel in my city, and attacking my honoured guest." He swings the lady to the rest of the flowers, releasing her without the risk of getting attacked.
She lands lightly on her feet and rushes to hide behind the tall woman.
"You know the Land of Tender attacks in groups. I don't think I can believe your honesty so much after this." Hua Cheng warns, stroking for once, the hilt of E'ming.
"W-well, if I need to fight you to protect my girls, I will!!" The woman snarls.
"I knew it was a terrible idea to believe you had a heart."
"Maybe I'd still have one if you didn't break it." The flower rages.
She jumps forward, summoning a vine to whip at the ghost.
"Nonsense. All you've ever felt has been thirst of lust." Eming flies forward and it's countered by a third flower woman, who uses a thorn-dagger to fight back.
He lets Eming have fun on his own as he snaps his fingers to summon his silver butterflies. In the light of the room, it's revealed the red vastness of the place, who is just a field of flowers. Many more bloom into raging and laughing women.
Some of them lung towards Xie Lian, praising his looks and themselves, explaining that they would be the perfect match.
He fights back perfectly fine, but the sweet words seem to strike a nerve on Hua Cheng.
He turns around just in time to hear Xie Lian saying "Ruoye!!"
Your Highness, remember it's already covering your mouth!! The ghost king warns.
Right. Thank you, San Lang. Xie Lian answers, and a wall of butterflies covers just in time before one of them scrapes the prince.
"You worry too much. Look at how resilient your 'honoured guest' is. He didn't need you to count this as a 'third incident.'" The lead woman rolls her eyes as the vine strikes a group of butterflies shielding Hua Cheng.
"That's not the point. I will not tolerate anyone who disrespects my husband."
The sharp gaze of Hua Cheng strikes her as much as his words, and her already pale face turns into a paper sheet white.
With that reaction, the rest of the flowers seem to lose focus, and the butterflies easily reduce them to sap.
"The only reason you managed to survive this long," Hua Cheng starts, stretching his arm to receive E'ming back, "is because you took my energy. The only reason you're alive is because I allow it."
The flower falls to her knees once more, looking pitiful.
"M-my Lord!! I have been loyal to you, the rest of my girls just didn't get it!!" She weeps. "My Lord, it's true that I tried to poison you the first time we met, and... Several other times, but I've changed!! You, you, YOU GAVE ME A HEART!!"
"Didn't you say I 'broke your heart' just moments ago?" Hua Cheng points out bemused.
"WELL IT DOESN'T MATTER, I-- I LOVE YOU!!"
Xie Lian turns around with a dangerous expression.
"Gege, I--" Hua Cheng's voice trembles.
"Are you immune to their scent?" Xie Lian asks, pointing out that Hua Cheng has nothing to cover himself with.
"No. I just don't breathe."
It makes sense. Xie Lian nods.
"I see." Xie Lian rubs his chin and proceeds to place his hands where his lips are covered by the silk. "How did you transfer spiritual power with them?"
The prince asks honestly, but Hua Cheng can't help but panic. "Not like that!! Gege, there is an array inside this cave. I don't even need to enter to give them the energy they need to survive!!"
Xie Lian hums, and Hua Cheng proceeds to explain further. "They made it sound dirty, but actually, the deal was for them to 'pay for the damage done to their victims and don't attack anyone else.' They had to stay here for me to protect and feed them, and the money wasn't for me. Let's just say... Some of the residents of my city were not originally ghosts."
Xie Lian remains silent for some time, looking up at his husband with what could only be described as an incredulous look.
Hua Cheng proceeded to panic further. All because of some stupid attempt at being merciful to some heartless demons.
Xie Lian turns around and crosses his arms.
Out of respect, the butterflies are already gone, so he can no longer see his face.
The only reason his pulse isn't rushing at top speed is because he deliberately stopped his heart and kept it that way to avoid the poison from flowing in his veins.
Xie Lian snorts. His shoulders are shaking, and then he bursts out laughing.
"!!??"
"HAHAHAHAHA-- SAN LANG, I MEANT IT HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Xie Lian turns back around to his husband and looks at him in the eye. "I'M GLAD I CAME PERSONALLY!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
"Gege?"
"Hahahaha-- sorry, did I surprise San Lang?" He smiles through the bandages, wiping away a tear in his eye.
Hua Cheng doesn't dare to even move, acting like a real corpse.
"Sorry, I would never doubt you. I did get mad at the flower tho..." He looks at the mess on the floor, guiltily remembering how good he is at stepping on flowers.
"I see. Gege saw an opportunity and took it." Hua Cheng smiles.
Xie Lian's face brights once more, glad about the reception of his husband.
"You deserved it for the marriage joke!!" The god pouts.
"I already said sorry for that!!" Hua Cheng whines.
Xie Lian lets a couple of dice fall and roll on the ground, hugging his beloved. As soon as they're transported into their bedroom, Xie Lian tears Ruoye from his face, and the silk rushes out of the room, sliding beneath the door instead of opening it.
Xie Lian tips on his toes to kiss Hua Cheng. He's greeted back without complaint, and the kiss depends with a sweet scent.
When the god retreats, he asks "San Lang, are you ok?"
"Hm?" Hua Cheng asks innocently. "What do you mean?"
"You're all red."
"Well, I am Crimson Rain Sought Flower."
"No~ this means something else." Xie Lian taps the border of the bed to invite Hua Cheng to sit next to him.
"I am in love with Gege," he says, obediently following his beloved.
Xie Lian blushes and denies with his head. "Yes, but that's not what I mean."
The prince's eyes are dazed and he tugs at the left arm of the calamity, revealing a gash on the skin.
"You're poisoned."
Both of his eyebrows rise. "I already told Gege not to worry. I can prepare an antidote to expel the poison without getting affected."
"Hm, that would work if your blood wasn't rushing again," Xie Lian pointed out, looking at the wound.
The blush on the ghost king's cheeks means that blood is rushing underneath. The poison is moving inside, and soon it'll become a problem.
Xie Lian pulls the arm close to his face, and starts to suck the poison.
The ghost's eye widens at the familiar scene, but he feels as if his soul just left his body when the prince swallows.
"GEGE, YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!!" Hua Cheng cries.
A soft light shines next to him and then, he's pinned to the bed with the sight of His Highness donned in his fine royal attire from XianLe. A particular set that he will never forget.
Xie Lian's eyes are already lewd, and he whispers "My good soldier, I am poisoned with the Land of Tender. Will you help me out?"
Immediately, the ghost king grabs him and turns around positions. Now his own self is wearing the soldier garment from the same kingdom, and E'ming is sent flying out of the room.
The prince rips his robes in the same way he did hundreds of years ago, and lifts his arm to caress Hua Cheng's cheek.
"My beautiful, brave San Lang." Xie Lian whispers.
"Gege."
The hand proceeds to pull the bandages loose, revealing a red eye.
The soldier obeys a non verbal sign to lower his head, and the prince kisses his eyelid.
"My beautiful, brave Hong'er." Xie Lian smiles.
"Your Highness."
They look at each other with blushed faces before kissing again.
Notes:
As I previously said, this is unedited, so I'm going to clarify some things here:
- The Land of Tender (at least here) is all a single entity. Hua Cheng decided to give it an opportunity to prove being innocent, but in the end, it wasn't.
- Xie Lian heard there was an affair Hua Cheng had to handle personally, and decided to tag along as soon as he was available.
- Hua Cheng started calling Xie Lian "Your Highness" kinda out of reflex because he remembers the Land of Tender and Xie Lian being involved as a prince 😭
- The demon had permission to get away, but it would no longer receive 'food' nor shelter from Hua Cheng. Since the resented souls of her victims still lingered on, it didn't want to get out.
I'd like to post this later on AO3, and I might make an extra chapter of the aftermath if this gets enough attention. 😏
- She wasn't in love with Hua Cheng. It was just a trick.

Okay so
Because
I need to actually do shit here (and the bingo is going and I need to start my shit)
Tism4Tism QuanYin
I mean Autism Hualian I see fairly often and I think we can all agree that Yizhen is definetly not neurotypical in any way. He just lives textbook five year old white boy autism.
However. I refuse to believe any of the cast of that book is neurotypical so I hereby diagnose Yin Yu with just as much autism.
They are just on wholly different extremes of the spectrum. Or well. Yin Yu has the anxious highly masked version where Yizhen has the entirely unmasked version.
Where Quan Yizhen misses every social cue to ever exsist Yin Yu overanalyzes your facial expression until he is able to half read your mind.
Where Quan Yizhen takes your every word at face value Yin Yu sat up at night when he way young to study irony.
Yizhen either does not look at you or he stares right into your soul for a solid minute. Yin Yu wears a mask. Yeah sure its to hide his identity but also nobody can ever tell exactly where his eyes are looking and its pure bliss. He has strategies tho. To mimic eye contact with minimal strain.
They both struggle to work with others actually. Yin Yu just goes about it more politely because he studied the big book of social interaction he wrote and observed as a child. He hates tho. Whenever he works on a task with someone he struggles because they never do it *right* and its silently driving him insane that he has to correct a bunch of little things that bother him (that would 90% of the time not actually affect the end product or goal they just bother him extremly because its not the way he does it) in secret. Meanwhile Yizhen will just say "You're doing it wrong." straight to your face. Unless you're Shixiong. Then he will assume he does it wrong because Yin Yu obviously knows what hes doing.
Yizhen has very high pain Tolerance where Yin Yus is rather low. Dont know if this actually connects to Autism but whatever.
Yizhen has no idea what personal space means (if he likes you so this goes extremly for Yin Yu) and will invade on a regular basis. Meanwhile Yin Yu will feel symptoms of physical pain if you inniciate contact. Was very hard to train Yizhen to wait until Yin Yu says its okay. Once they figure that out Yizhen can cuddle a lot tho. It just needs to follow Yin Yus very specific procedure first so he can be comfortable.
Yizhen doesn't even do things hes told to do. Yin Yu will cry if orders are not specific enough and Hua Cheng does keep a mental list of things that need to be mentioned in every task he gives. (What time? Is there a specific Method he needs to use? How high is it in priority compared to other tasks? At what level of struggle does he report back? Such things. He needs to know or he will suffer breakdown and nothing gets done. We know how his breakdowns look.)
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh I cant think of any more right now. So yeah. Bye.

REVIEW: Heaven Official's Blessing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WARNING: Contains numerous SPOILERS, so CAUTION!
Tumblr media
<< REFERS TO THE UNREVISED VERSION >> This is the author's third work and also her longest. TGCF, unlike SV which seems to focus more on the emotional and MDZS which focuses more on themes such as forgiveness and overcoming, seems to pay more attention to the feelings and relationships between the characters. The fact that the MC, Xie Lian, has lived for just over 800 years is definitely not something that can be easily overcome. Having lived, felt and related to numerous types of people over such a long period of time, it's completely natural that he would end up making extremely difficult decisions or be driven to almost irreparable psychological damage. In fact, I still find it incredible and truly admirable how he managed to overcome and move on even in the midst of many things. Even if there were moments in the current timeline when you can see that some of those wounds were merely treated, but never truly and completely healed. Most of his relationships in the beginning are completely in ruins, and don't seem to have any chance of recovery. But even with all that, he has still managed, not to mend, but to patch up many wounds that have emerged over the years. The other characters were also written and developed in a very human way, which was an unparalleled point of attraction in my opinion. What really stuck with me was that no one in this story can be described as entirely good or evil. Everyone walks a fine line between these two sides, fighting and doing the best they can for themselves, their loved ones and for a hope of happiness. All their decisions, actions and emotions are extremely relatable if you simply put yourself in their shoes without having any kind of prejudice in mind. They show that we can all reach a point of no return if we are pushed to the limit. Moving on, another crucial point in this story is undoubtedly the romance. It was developed in a very sweet way. So sweet that you end up melting with every interaction. HuaLian really is that fairytale couple, who have an enviable and perfect love, with a true sense of eternity. It's completely impossible to look at them and not feel like you're floating or have that warm feeling in your chest. To tell you the truth, I think they're the couple with the cutest vibe out of the three by this author. I'd say they're like that teenage romance or the taste of first love. That love that burns, that warms you, that won't let you forget it. A gentle love that makes you feel complete and totally welcomed. With this person, you feel like the whole world could turn its back on you and everything would still be fine. Because that person, that person alone is enough. That person you know and feel will never, ever abandon you and will always be there for you, supporting you no matter what. That's how HuaLian makes you feel. That's how they are. A simple, sweet and engaging definition of the word love. TGCF is also a very good story in terms of holding your attention. There are lots of things happening all the time, well-developed schemes, backstories to be discovered, new characters and a whole range of extremely attractive contexts that you can't take your eyes off. Everything was very well written and crafted, with nothing that seemed tedious or unnecessary throughout. MXTX, for me, is an author with a real talent for writing. Everything is very captivating and can hit you hard if you choose to give it a chance. Well, I'll stop here, as I feel I have nothing more to say. I hope you give this baby a try!

i think the thing about tgcf/hualian that makes me the most feral is the way that it’s not sex-centric, but is more focused on the actual relationship between them.
i do love me some spice, my ao3 tabs are never going to be seen by another human ever. buuuut, the way that hua cheng is so devoted and will simply do anything he can to keep xie lian safe is beautiful.
it’s gentle. it’s delicate. it’s love in the most basic form.
hua cheng encourages xie lian to do things that makes him happy. things that hella cheng doesn’t necessarily agree with, but he’s never going to step in and tell xie lian he can’t do something. instead hua cheng will stand beside xie lian and keep him as safe as he can.
also, on that note, i really appreciate that even when xie lian does something that hua cheng doesn’t particularly agree with, hua cheng doesn’t guilt or lecture xie lian. they simply agree that it wasn’t the best way to handle something.
i hate slow burns, but this relationship and story is truly so captivating that i’m not even missing spicy scenes. i just wanna see them interacting and appreciating each other. they both have such a deep respect for each other.
i also can’t help but lose my mind at the fact that most power dynamics would have hua cheng treating xie lian like a baby, and he absolutely does not! it’s a breath of fresh air to see them both on equal ground regardless of one of them having significantly more power and money. hua cheng isn’t there to fix all of xie lian’s problems and i fucking respect the hell out of that.
yes, hua cheng has the thousand lights temple, and paradise manor and has invited xie lian to live with him. but it was a fleeting moment. hua cheng has even said that the puqi shrine feels most like home even though it’s an over crowded little shack.
and the use of spiritual power, even though hua cheng has a significant amount of power, he gives without question. and it’s never done in a showy way. he just offers the use of spiritual power when xie lian needs it.
also… the way xie lian is growing more comfortable in his relationship with hua cheng and gets more casual with touches and hand holding and what not. i truly cannot handle how soft they are with each other.
they are disgusting and i love them sm. 🥲

1. How many works do you have on AO3? |
Currently two!
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
8,934 if I added right. I've written well beyond that but it's not published or published to AO3.
3. What Fandoms do You Write For?
Currently Good Omens! Back about 10 ish years ago, I used to write a lot of Hetalia and Pokemon (if you were on DA/Quotev and read reader inserts in the 2010s, I'm sorry) and also had a short stint with Yuri on Ice. If we go for never published stuff, Inuyasha.
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! I try my best to at least - I really like interacting with comments and seeing what people have to say!
5. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Actually yes - quite a few times! Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they are still being stolen to this day by random Wattpad users (it was always fucking Wattpad). My fic "Just the Way You Are (BTT X Reader) [yes I was that songfic author - again I'm sorry] was stolen quite often, along with a few others. As a result I'm quite protective over my fics - used to do line editing so I could put my name extremely small in the text so when it was copy pasted my name showed up multiple times haha.
6. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No! I haven't actually - did some creative writing prompts between people in discord before and am part of an ongoing project but as of this moment I haven't. Have helped my girlfriend with her own stuff but that's for the most part her own thing.
7. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Fuck I have to pick ONE? Sweating rn uhhhh... I have two of equal measure I can think of off the top of my head: AziraCrow (Aziraphale x Crowley - Good Omens) and Hualian (Hua Cheng x Xie Lian - Heaven Official's Blessing).
8. What are your Writing Strengths?
If I go off what people tell me: heavily immersive and visual writing. And characterization. And short form story writing.
9. What are your Writing Weaknesses?
My inability to focus on a single project, along with my terrible habit of starting fics on a whim before abandoning it because I have no idea where the story was going in the first place. My ADHD makes my motivation come and go like the wind so I can go months without updating anything, and led to a lot of my old ones getting abandoned. I also have a terrible habit of dragging scenes out because I tend to want to explain a lot of things, which leads me to procrastinate a lot when I can't think of how to describe what I want. I'm trying to get better at it. Oh, and a personal pet peeve of mine is not being able to write a fic under 5k words, because I don't like publishing shorter fics, especially self contained ones. I admire people who are able to publish shorter stories a lot, I just personally get really anxious over putting out something that wasn't at least 5 word document pages long as a chapter.
10. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
If we count unpublished and never seen the light of day, it was Inuyasha. It was a fic called "The Golden Arrow", which was based off a dream I had somewhere in the early 2010's. The only one who saw anything for it was a school friend of mine, and while I generally remember the gist of it, it's been lost to time for the most part, as it was written on an app on an old phone I have but lost the cord to.
If we wanna talk actually published to the internet, I'm pretty sure it was Pokemon.

Hello...Have you watched Haikyuu movies? It's great....And we got lots of Kuroken moments and "that"one Kagehina moment.... So, as Kagehina shipper, have you ever ship Hinata or Kageyama with other character? For me, I have read Kageyama with Oikawa fic (I enjoy it but not really into that ship, all the time thinking of Iwaoi) and Hinata with Atsumu fic (one of my friend love that ship, wrote a fic and asked me to read them). And as much as they're all good, my otp will always be Kagehina. Like they were made for each other and it has to be them...
Do you also have other ships that you love from MDZS and TGCF? Sorry, if you asked me this, I have at least 8 ships in total from those two series, all of them are non canon (Xuexiao, Xiyao, Zhuiling, Beafleaf, Fengqing, Quanyin, Peihuang, Xuyue)....
Sorry for this random and long ask, hope you don't mind....
hello, anon!! sorry i am late for this, hope you understand. life has been crazy, haha. anyway, let us go: i did watch the haikyuu films and recently in was at the cinema with a friend watching the dumpster battle, let me tell you i was OVERJOYED!!! heavens, i could not control my anxiety. though my friend also likes the anime, she isnt as obsessed as me and didnt even finish the last season when we talked about watching the brand new release, so i had the OUTSTANDING experience of rewatching it with her so we could buy the tickets after!! i lost count of how many times i watched it and how many times i made other friends try it out (at some point, i recommended it to even one of my students during a totally unrelated discourse, hahahaha, hope he shares his opinions once this winter break finishes).
since i watched haikyuu about... five years ago? i must have rewatched some seasons more than ten times. its my comfort show! love every film also. about the ships, kagehina is my endgame, but i definitely love kuroken, iwaoi, bokuaka and sakuatsu (though i consume kagehina content much more). of course every ship is valid, i cannot judge anyone, however, i personally cant see hinata or kageyama with anyone else and do not read stories too focused on other relationships :) i can comprehend why fans see something with oikawa and kageyama, or even oikawa and hinata (considering their interaction in rio), but i do not settle with it in my heart. its just profiles and options, anyway! dont mind, dont mind.
i agree with you. for me, they are soulmates through and through. perfect for each other. one is the promise, the other is the anchor. they might be one of the couples i have seen anywhere that matches each other's vibe the best.
about mxtxt works, my favorite side ships are moshang and beefleaf. i can see the appeals in each one you mentioned, but i just never quite got interested to the point of reading about it, sorry!! some of them maybe its because they did not have a finale extra shot, or at least they were not as spoken/seen together as they were individually. for fengqing, though i like them as a side couple in hualian fanfics, i never quite got engaged in their story together, many times they just annoyed me (god, im scared of saying that and people coming at me, but there you go). but i know they have their values and some interactions i could almost forget my light, petty resentment for their actions and laugh along. beefleaf though? mobei-jun and his creator shang qinghua? heavens, i wanted to see more of them.
so, this is it! do not worry about asking whatever and whenever you want to ask. i love coming here to answer them when i have the time. thank you!! hope you can spot a nice sunset and take a relaxing shower today.

Finally obtained the elusive volume 7 of TGCF(It was a calamity and a half trying to find it anywhere in any bookstore when I already had volume 8 for ages (3 months). I binged read everything where I left off from volume 4. I'll be rereading at leisure when I have better time.
Warning ⚠️ Spoilers ahead. Go read the book if you haven't.
Anyways I'm here to gush about the weird roller coaster that was TGCF. HuaLian shall forever have my heart when it comes to best romance journey excluding all the weird add-ons and hanger-ons that was the heavenly court and JW's overall mindf*ckery that he calls favor.
Note: no time to quote anything doing this by memory since I've already stashed my books in the depths of the overly cluttered cabinet that is my bookshelf. Some other time.
The giant mecha fight between divine statue XL and the Heaven Capital was so out of field I felt like the book just added a new genre late into the story. But it was awesome all the same I think my favorite part was when HX's bone pets came to their support.
I just can't get over the fact how profound and all-encompassing HC's love for XL is and that clear moment when XL realized HC's identity(WM), that he was seen so completely in not only his highest but also his lowest most self-loathing destructive moments did XL knew that HC is the one and only person who he can wholeheartedly surrender himself to and love. XL also knows that HC is probably the only one who would ever forgive and accept every part of him even the part that he can't forgive and thinks unworthy. HC would probably say there was nothing to forgive in the first place.
HC dispersing after the final battle just broke my heart for XL. 😭 Dear MXTX knows how to write angst and stab in our vitals where it hurts. There reunion was so heartwarming I'm running out of appropriate adjectives. They should never been parted like that ever again. I would have loved to see more of their fresh reunion interactions where XL utterly spoiled and gave into anything HC wanted.
The extras were also too funny I could barely read them straight with how mortifying some of it was.😂 Nice to know every divine statue got their partner 🤭😏. Happy to have finished this close to HC's birthday.
I was hoping XL coffin trauma would be addressed at some point but I'm happy we got something in the extras, not as lighthearted as I thought the extras would be 😭
The art in the last volume is the best so far 🥰😍. Anyone else screamed upon seeing the blatant HuaLian kissing and domesticity. I sure couldn't not with my mom in the same room 😅. But I really wanted to, it felt like HC got a hundred times more sexy with his prince taking kisses in his arms 🤭🤭🤭
Too many thoughts on the matter! I'll circle back to this in the future I've still got 2ha, Thousand autumn to follow and I haven't finished MDZS novels to my great shame 🙏😖
Next time my dearies.

i see "hualian invented love" so often & every time im like these are the standards you're setting? either unattainably high (not all of us can be ghosties AND sculptors!!) or kind of a weird low bar depending on your point of view
trueeeeeeeeeeee yeah on the surface they have some interactions i really like and i do enjoy elements of the devotion and hc's ride or die nature can be charming when hes not being immature about it but theres not much underneath that it is just fantasy wish fulfillment and in that sense i really do get it like yeah it would be pretty awesome if a hot guy showed up and you liked hanging out with him and he already knew all the dark things about you that you were ashamed of but he loved you anyway and would defend you against anything. but also then you find out youre his entire reason for living and thinks you can do no wrong. and maybe youre like okay cool but also he doesnt really have anything else that he cares about so you never really feel like hes choosing you over anything else it kind of feels more like he has no choice at all..... and if you love him back i feel like eventually that would make you kind of sad like i wouldnt actually want that and in reality its a lot of pressure being someone's only or most significant relationship even if you really love them. also yeah they dont really ever develop or change theres a vague question of what hc's intentions are but xl isnt ever really worried about that and then they get together. its cute! but instead of them really going through anything together i feel like the backstory reveals take the place of any character development they go through because of each other. and yes hc actually does a lot because of xl but thats in the past and xl didnt know about any of it so idk its not very satisfying to me like oh it already happened.... and theres nothing from hc's point of view which could really have helped a lot. i guess it's nice that hc never loses faith and hope in xl but it might have been better if he did and then found it again. thats kind of what happens to xl and its way more interesting and its the heart of the story!!! yeah as a romance theyre fun and cute i do like them and i think they make sense in their context but there's a lot left to be desired

KamuShin HCs: the Beginning
so, my 1st ever kamushin post. yea, its a crack ship considering they only interacted ONCE in the Rakuyo arc but i feel like they have the potential to be an interesting ship
funnily enough, they kinda remind me a bit of hualian. anyways, HCs!
It started out in the 2 year timeskip.
Wanting to keep in touch with shinpachi, kagura writes & sends letters to him. Out of curiosity & seeing an opportunity to tease her, Kamui steals a letter to deliver it himself
He's surprised to find the address leads to the glasses boy
They've met once back at Rakuyo & fought together in the Liberation War but he had bigger things to worry about than this plain looking human. Still, he delivers the letter but when he's about to leave, Shinpachi invites him for tea
With nothing better to do, Kamui stays
Seeing it as a way to tease Kagura about the letters as well as getting free food or refreshments, Kamui keeps coming back. at one point, he saw Shinpachi train at the dojo and they fought. of course, Kamui easily defeated Shinpachi and Kamui lost interest in him but regained it when Shinpachi got back up to fight again
Kamui beats Shinpachi every time but he finds it interesting how Shinpachi never gives up even against a much more powerful opponent. Eventually, they end up fighting & training together almost every day since then
So Kamui ends up staying on earth. Partly because he wants to know why his family loves it so he gets to know the customs & the people. Slowly, he starts to understand why his family loves earth so much even with its imperfections & physically weaker race
from there, KamuShin slowly becomes friends. They spend their days either training together or learn about earth
Shinpachi falls 1st & it twists him up on how he fell for his best friend's older brother or that his heart could race for someone other than Otsuu-chan
It felt like a betrayal
But shin is helpless to stop it, no matter how hard he tries. Even when tried to convince himself that its just admiration & gratitude for helping Shinpachi become stronger, his feelings refused to be denied. Eventually, he resigns to the fact that he's fallen for someone who only sees Shinpachi as his younger sister's plain, nagging best friend and likely a source for free food
Which may have been true initially but thats no longer the case
Either way, they still got a long ways to go before they get together and become mates

diff anon here, but similar to the last question cause i'm curious lol, how do you feel about bakudeku? as a romantic pairing that is, but also in general tbh
ahh hi hello dear!! fantastic question!! for context (x - on bktd)
i adore bkdk!!!! they are like. i mean don't get me wrong as much as i love every other pairing i've written for and plenty that i haven't, i feel like bkdk is one of those ships that's so canon-coded that i almost don't feel like i want to write for them? which is like a Thing for me generally, the canon ships in actual queer media (ie wangxian, hualian, victor and yuuri, etc) are just sort of like. what else do i have to say abt them idk? like i enjoy and appreciate what canon had to say abt them so i feel like i don't have much to add myself
anyway!!! lskdfjlsdf that's a lot of how i feel abt bkdk? like, am i aware it's not actually a canon romantic relationship? sure yeah ofc lmao but also like? their stories revolve so heavily around each other that they are critical to each others' arcs and development as characters, and while i have written a few things abt them (mostly before some of the apology/reconciliation stuff was out), i really feel like canon is saying a lot of what i personally would say abt them with regards to any kind of relationship
fr like whether they kiss or not in canon they are undeniably critical to each other, canonically would die for each other (sorry bkg dw i'm sure u will wake up soon) and would lowkey kill for each other lmao like i love them deeply as characters and how intertwined they are it's really a very intriguing dynamic that makes their canon interactions feel as poignant as if they were like. in a romantic relationship? not out of any downplaying of a platonic relationship between them just like. they are the most important person in each others lives i think, y'know?
ANYWAY lmao all of that to say that i really do love bkdk, i think they are like fundamentally the idea of 'you make me want to be better, both as a person and in what we're both striving to become'. i think they have that particular appeal of like. there is so much history between them, have they ever even known a life without knowing each other? and that becomes like such a deep and consuming sort of vibe that really colors all their interactions. like, who knows them better than they know each other? it's a really fun flavor to dig into when i'm in the mood, and overall makes for a really fun dynamic to see in canon as well!!
tyty for the ask dear!! <3

I was tagged by @joys-of-everyday
1. three ships: This question is confusing, do you need my favourite ships of all time (Hualian, Soukoku, Zhongchi), or my three current favourites (BingLiuShen, NaruSaku, HinaSaku)? Take all of them.
2. first ever ship: this one is embarrassing to admit. Stella and Bloom from Winx Club. I'm a simple woman ;-;
3. last song: Killin' Me Good by Jihyo! I'm actually seeing Twice live in November (MY ULT GROUP) so yippee!
4. last movie: Bullet Train with my dad but I was barely paying attention...
5. currently reading: The Longest Memory by Fred D'Aguiar. I'm re-reading but I seriously recommend this short novel, it is by far the most beautiful piece of literature I have ever read. I will warn that it's about slavery in America in the 1800's and covers some pretty graphic topics, but it is seriously the best written novel I have ever read, it has such unique and inquisitive perspectives. My favourite quote from the book is as follows;
"Dead eyes turn to stone. Run, even if you share the blood of those eyes, words of that mouth. Eyes that have seen all, mouth that has said nothing."
6. currently watching: Look, I was watching the One Piece live action but then I forgot and haven't opened it in a week.
7. currently consuming: water. I'm meant to be studying but I'm here instead
8. currently craving: I've been attempting to recreate the unforgettable taste that instant Mac'n'cheese had when I was a kid but so far it's been futile. The past haunts me.
I don't actually know why I did this I have like one mutual who I interact with and they tagged me so I'm posting this for no reason (>/////<)

"Gege, are you asleep?"
His voice was barely a whisper, after all, he knew that Xie Lian was actually asleep, his breathing was still even and his eyes moved from side to side under his closed lids, probably dreaming.
Hua Cheng smiled tenderly. Xie Lian couldn't look more adorable right now. He was laying on his back, body naked under the soft sheet. His hair was messily sprawled all over the pillow and his cheeks were pink with the warmth of sleep.
If there was a beating heart inside Hua Cheng's chest, it might have exploded out of him at that moment. His fingers itched to touch his beloved, but he didn't want to interrupt his sleep, not when he looked so comfortable with one arm under the pillow and the other across his stomach.
He could let him sleep a little longer: five minutes, two hours, six days- as long as Xie Lian wanted, but Hua Cheng missed seeing Xie Lian's beautiful eyes and hearing his wonderful voice as soon as he opened his own eye, and even though he fought the urge, in the end he just couldn't help it and so, he gently dragged his fingertips up Xie Lian's side.
As expected, Xie Lian twitched slightly, his mouth curling into the tiniest of smiles, which could not be compared to the big grin on Hua Cheng's face. Oh, how much he loved how ticklish his lover was. It was definitely one of Xie Lian's many charms. Hua Cheng just couldn't get enough of that sweet laughter filling his ears.
Of course, he wouldn't tickle Xie Lian out of the blue when he was sleeping so comfortably, (at least not today), but he could still stir him up a awake a little, right?
"Gege," he mumbled, fingertips tracing the perfect curve of Xie Lian's waist, his warm skin covering in goosebumps. "Gege, it's time to wake up. Do you hear me?"
Xie Lian made a small noise, something between a hum and a small giggle as Hua Cheng's fingers found his ribs. He traced the bones softly, from the front and all the way to the back, each and everyone of them, causing Xie Lian to squirm slightly and flinch at every extra sensitive spot.
"S-Sahan Lang?" Hua Cheng retracted his hand immediately and he looked innocently at his gege. "What are you doing?" Xie Lian asked, bringing the hand over his stomach to rub at one of his eyes, trying to remove the cobweb of sleep.
"Nothing, Gege," Hua Cheng lied, his smile as mischievous as it could be. "I was just calling you."
Xie Lian hummed, his hand left his eyes to scratch as his tingly ribs. "Hmm, yes, I'll be up... Just a bit more... Yes...?" Before he could get an answer, he fell asleep again.
Hua Cheng looked at him relaxing into their bed again, his chest raising and falling slowly and his hand went into action again. He continued tracing Xie Lian's ribs, chuckling himself as he watched his lover twitch and squirm and even let out tiny giggles the more he moved upwards.
His arm threatened to pull back, but Hua Cheng gently, and quite discreetly, placed his other hand close to Xie Lian's arm as a kind of stopper so that he couldn't lower it. Xie Lian barely noticed.
"Gege," Hua Cheng mumbled, his fingers finally reaching Xie Lian's highest ribs, the one that was making him giggle a bit harder. "What's so funny, Gege?"
Xie Lian let out a giggly hum, arching his back and letting out a delighted squeal when Hua Cheng's fingers traced up his armpit. The touch was light, but Xie Lian was the most ticklish in that spot, so sweet giggles bloomed from his smiling lips, his eyes still closed, clinging to sleep just a little longer, but Hua Cheng thought that maybe that would be unlikely.
He chuckled, "Why are you giggling so much, Your Highness? Are you having good dreams?" He teased, his fingers gently drawing circles against Xie Lian's exposed armpit.
The smooth skin covered in goosebumps as Hua Cheng lightly tickled him there.
"Ahahaha! N-Nohohot thahat plahahace!" Xie Lian giggled brightly, his nose scrunching at the sensations, when Hua Cheng looked up at him, he found Xie Lian's bright eyes trying to focus on what was tickling him. Hua Cheng chuckled.
"Good morning, Gege."
"S-Sahahan Lahang! That- Thahahat-
"What's the matter? Does it tickle, gege?"
The word itself seemed to surprise Xie Lian and he quickly tried to protect his underarm, but Hua Cheng was faster and he gently held Xie Lian's arm in place as he started to scratch at the sensitive skin.
Xie Lian, now wide awake, threw his head back with loud giggles; his legs kicked softly and he weakly tried to pull at his trapped arms, but Hua Cheng knew that he was still lacking some strength after waking up and... Well, he knew that Xie Lian didn't actually minded the tickly attention.
"Your Highness, are you feeling ticklish so early in the morning?"
Xie Lian shook his head. "Nohohot tihihicklish!"
Hua Cheng giggled, as stubborn as always his precious gege, always wanting to rile him up, even if he denied it every time, but that was okay, Hua Cheng could tell what Xie Lian wanted just by looking at him and he'd be happy to provide... Not without being the mischievous Ghost King that he was.
"Eheheek! N-Nohoho! Not thahahat!" Sweet, bubbly and happy giggles filled the room when Hua Cheng cold fingers where replaced by his cold lips. He pressed tender butterfly kisses against the delicate skin and Xie Lian giggled, trying to cover his armpit with his free hand.
Thankfully, Hua Cheng had the upper hand right now, so he carefully caught Xie Lian's wrist and made it join the one under the pillow, gathering both in one of his hands.
Xie Lian squeaked in protest, but to Hua Cheng, he sounded more excited to have his arms pinned than desperate to free them.
"S-Sahahan Lahahang! Ihihit's too ehehearly!"
Hua Cheng chuckled, playfully nibbling at Xie Lian's armpit, making his giggles turn more frantic. "But Gege, I'm just trying to worship you! I don't understand why you're giggling so much!"
"Thihihis is nohohot- wahahait!" Xie Lian protested when Hua Cheng gently ran his fingertips against Xie Lian's other underarm.
The god arched his back slightly, but his arms stayed obediently over his head as Hua Cheng relished on more of that wonderful laugh: his lips pressing kiss after kiss and even some baby raspberries in one of his underarms as his fingers gently fluttered against the other.
Xie Lian's giggles, even though frantic, it was also soft, tender and light. His body, flinching and squirming just slightly, kept pressing against Hua Cheng's attention and Hua Cheng felt hundreds of his dangerous butterflies fluttering in his stomach.
"So giggly today, gege," he teased tenderly, his lips leaving their playful game go whisper against Xie Lian's ear. "Are you having a good time?"
Xie Lian squealed, his cheeks and ears pink. "Sahahan Lahahang is sohoho nahahaughty!"
Hua Chang chuckled, "Am I? But gege, you could've just lowered your arms! I'm not holding you, am I?"
Xie Lian giggled, trying to hide his face away from Hua Cheng. At some point, Hua Cheng had relaxed the hold on Xie Lian's wrists to let his lover cover himself, but Xie Lian didn't even move his arms and held his own hands together, keeping his arms in place.
"Does gege like it when this lowly one tickles him?"
Xie Lian whined, "Stohohop teheheasing mehehe!" He giggled, still suffering from those super light tickles under his arm. "It dohohoes tihihickle!"
Hua Cheng laughed at that and he stopped his playfulness at once, letting Xie Lian relax against the bed again.
"Good morning, gege," Hua Cheng whispered, pressing a tender kiss to Xie Lian's warm cheek.
"Good morning, San Lang," Xie Lian answered, kissing the tip of Hua Cheng's nose before pouring softly. "Why did San Lang tickle me awake again?"
Hua Cheng grinned, "I wonder, gege. I think I just missed His Highness' giggles."
Xie Lian huffed, "didn't you tickle me plenty last night?"
Hua Cheng laughed, "it's never enough, Your Highness," he said, nibbling at Xie Lian's cheek before looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "But why are you arms still up, Gege? Should San Lang tickle you again?" Xie Lian giggled, hiding his face under his pillow, arms still up. "Is that a yes, gege? Is it? Don't scold me later~," he said and his thumbs pressed in, rubbing slow circles hard enough to bring those sweet giggles out again.
"Oh, Sahahahan Lahahang! Thahat's unfahahair!"
"Should I kiss you here again, then?"
"N-Nohoho! Thahahat's embahaharrassihihi- Sahahan Lahahang!"
Hua Cheng of courses peppered kisses there again and Xie Lian giggled brightly and kept his most ticklish spot exposed until they were both satisfied.
