Time

Time was having a hard time coming to grips with himself.

He would watch you from afar. Making sure that you were well taken care of and that all your needs were met. He didn't want to admit that he may have given you special treatment compare to the others but it was something that he didn't how to properly control.

The worse part of it was that he was beginning to suspect that you knew and were thus preparing to use it to your advantage.

"Time." You called to him as a warning before you latched onto his arm. 'I have a request."

Time looks to you, unaware of the soft look he gives you. "What is it?"

You don't miss it either, subconsciously matching it with your own. "I wanted to take a few of the boys down to the river to teach them some tricks of the trade that my father showed me. You're the head of group so I wanted to pass it by you. Is that ok?"

His heart flutters, betraying him over the severity of your questions. But it's light and there's little that needs to be done in the immediate. He sees no problem with it. Besides, how long would it take you to get there and come back? A few hours? The whole day? Either way, it's unlike you stay away past sun down.

"Sure. Thank you for taking it into consideration." He smiles. Although, it's not as if he's their father. They're free to do whatever they wanted for the most part. But it's nice that you thought about him.

You grin and pat his shoulder. "Any time. I suppose you'd like everyone to return before nightfall?"

Time clears his throat for a moment. Yes, that was exactly what he was thinking. How did you know?

With a small nod, he meets you head on. "If possible."

You nod back and lean in to kiss his cheek. "Then we'll be back before dinner."

You turn on your heel, as if nothing has happened and start gather a few of the younger members to take them on the short trip.

Time however can feel the very well crafted and fortified walls of his psyche crack slightly. Admittedly, he was caught off guard. But there was something in such a simple moment that only endeared you more to him.

It was so sweet. You did it so quickly. Were you even aware? Was that planned?

The moment replays in his head and he's forced to cover his face. He's a grown man- surely he would be past this level of fluster and tame the butterflies that tickle the inside of his torso.

His hand comes up and covers his mouth, slowly inching up to cover the rest of his face. That was cute. You're cute. And nice. And pretty. And delightful. And he's doomed.

Hopefully no else saw that.

Twilight

Twilight was almost certain that he was in love with you. Call him dramatic or exaggerating- but he was about 87% certain that he knew this feeling and that it was going to lead him down a very familiar path.

Part of him wanted to nip it in the bud and cut it off before it became anything larger than he knew he was capable of handling. The other part of him threw a fit at the thought of doing that.

He wants to be by your side and make you smile and laugh and make you pretty things and make sure that you're happy and- and- and-

"Hi Twilight." You hopped right next to him with your hand behind your back. "You seem deep in thought again. Care to share?"

Twilight clears his throat, ignoring the way he wants to blush at being caught. Even fi you have no idea what he was thinking about. "Nothing too bad. Just some things about our next steps. Sorry if I worried you."

You hummed and grabbed his arm, leaning on his without a care in the world. "Apology accepted. Here I thought that you had some dark secret or something that was eating you alive and would inadvertently change your life forever whether you kept it to yourself or told others."

Twilight chokes on his own spit. That's one way to say it.

"It can't be that bad." He tries to brush it off. "I was a little lost in thought, that's all."

"Hm..." You don't seem to believe him. "Alright. Keep your secrets, Mr. Man."

You lean over, kissing the corner of his mouth. "Just don't get too lost in thought anytime soon. Wild is about done with lunch. That's what I wanted to tell you. Anyway- that's all!"

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute- Twilight tries to reach for you but you dance out of his range. What was that about?

You don't seem to want to acknowledge it but Twilight knows that it's going to be around in his head if he doesn't get any answers!

You laugh under your breath but he hears it. Something clicks in his mind to catch you. To get you to explain yourself. But also- something in him just wants to run.

So he starts to do so but you seem to catch on to what he's doing and also take off running. You take a turn away from the camp, trying to lose him in the surrounding thicket.

It excites him and he pushes himself faster to catch you.

Wild

Wild was watching you play a card game with Warrior and Legend, keeping them close to your chest as you looked at your opponent with a mischievous gleam in your eye.

Twilight snickers beside him. "They're going to notice."

"No they won't."

"Yes they will."

Wild rolls his eyes, turning to the other hero to face him head on. "No, they're not going to notice me. I am stealth and secrecy. I am invisible-"

"Wild, do you want to play with us?" You shout, still keeping your cards close even as you wave to him. "This game is really easy to learn if you're interested."

Wild chokes on his own spit as he looks back to you. This could be a chance to get close to you. Physically anyway. He can keep himself in check as he plays a simple game. You don't have to know how much he's been fantasizing about holding your hand or playing with your hair.

"Um..."

Twilight starts snickering a little louder, albeit trying to keep himself quiet. He's fails. But Wild wants to keep in mind that at least he's trying.

"Maybe!" Wild stands, decided to take the chance. "What do I have to do?"

"He can't join yet." Warrior points out. "Not until the match is over. It's too late to deal him in."

"Oh..." Wild tries to not sound too disappointed. "Next round then."

Legend is too focused on the game to comment but he plays down another card, only for you to cheer and place a different one. Legend curses as you take a small pile of acorns in the middle that they had piling up.

"One more and they win, Vet." Warrior hisses.

"I know! Don't remind me!"

You laugh and give a small wink to Wild. "Let me wipe the floor with these two first."

Wild can only smile. "I hope you win."

You grin, hopping up to give him a quick kiss to his cheek. He gasps but you seem none the wiser. "I'll take that as my good luck charm! I'm winning this!"

He coughs again, feeling himself grow a little hot under the collar. "As long as it's painless!"

"Naturally."

Warrior places down another card, which Legend seem to take advantage of- but you cheer again and win the game.

"Woo hoo! Let's go again. Thank you Wild!"

"Champion, help us." Warrior groans. "This is the third game in a row."

Wild sits down next to you, struggling to keep his composure. "SuRe. How do I play?"

Four

Four was going to lose his mind.

Here you were, helping him with fixing his tunic, and being incredibly close to his body, while also marginally whispering in his ear through the entire process.

It was maddening.

Four was trying his hardest to keep a straight face as you worked. What had happened was that he was working on sharpening your sword, as a request when you had tried to sit next to him and sliced the embroidery on his tunic.

He thought you were going to start crying with how apologetic you sounded. Between mentioned that he was doing you a favor to ruining something that had taken a lot of time, you had offered to fix it for him in return.

He didn't expect you to run off and come back with a small sewing kit and get to work right then and there.

"Again- I'm so sorry-"

"I know. You've said that ten times already." Four snorts, moving his arm out of the way so that you could reach it better. He doesn't expect you to lean closer, borderline putting your face against his chest as you work with the flayed threads.

Four can feel his cheeks start to burn and he has to look away. He's glad you're not in a position to see him at the moment. He's not sure if he would be able to handle himself in what would be considered the correct and polite way.

He coughs once and slowly moves his arm over your head. "It's not as bad you think it is. It's made in a way where it's easy to fix. It's not the first time this has happened."

"Really?" You seem to calm down. "What happened the first time?"

"I was wearing in the forge because I had a few orders backed up." four admits with a small laugh. Stay cool. Don't worry about your proximity. He's fine. He's totally fine. "I managed to get most of my work down, but at the cost of the treads. The designed has changed after some time."

"Oh thank god." You give a little bow with your head. "Because I had no idea what it looked like so I just planned on winging it and hoping that you didn't notice."

Four laughs and shakes his head. "I mean... I probably would. But knowing you did it would just make it more special."

"Really?" You snap your head up and you're nose to nose with him. "Ah- Sorry."

You pull back, before something comes over you. "Oh, what the hell!"

You kiss his the tip of his nose and grin. "In that case, I have to make this extra special then! Just you wait, Link! It's going to look... mediocre. But with feeling!"

Four has completely checked out at this point, feeling his blush finally push past his defenses.

"I'm glad you're ok with this. I still feel really bad."

"...I think I owe you now."

"What?"

"Nothing!"

Legend

He knew he was doomed before anyone else did.

It was a quiet thing at first. It usually is. It was just a little look here, a short conversation there and a giggle and a blush the next minute then a blinding smile the next.

Legend knew his patterns better than anyone would have been able to guess. He knew the route he was on. And he a afraid of going any further down the familiar road.

"Good morning, Legend!" You raised your hand in greeting.

Legend ruffled his hair, shoving his hat over his head. With a yawn, he waves back, ignoring the giddy way he feels knowing that you've called out to him specifically. "Good morning."

"Sit next to me! Breakfast is almost ready!"

He nods, making his way over to the log by the fire. He sits and tries to rub the sleep out of his eyes. "What's on the menu?"

"Eggs and bacon." Wild answers easily.

"I've never had bacon." You say absentmindedly. "So I hope it's good."

Wild looks up for a moment before he looks back down into the pan. "These have to be the best bacon I've ever made."

Legend snorts. "It's bacon. That's pretty hard to mess up."

"What do you usually have for breakfast, Legend?" You bump your shoulder with his. "Bacon and eggs."

Legend yawns again, shaking his head. "Just some bread and cheese usually. Nothing fancy."

You nod and rest your head on his shoulder. "I would always have a bowl of oatmeal...but I guess that's a bit harder to find while you're traveling than the rest of it, huh?"

"A bit." Legend rests his head on yours. This is ok, right? If you did it first, then it should be fine. It's safe, platonic, good. It's nice. It's doesn't have to be anything else.

You sigh before you lift yourself off of his, giving a quick kiss to his cheek. "I suppose it's just as good as everything else."

Legend's brain stops working. His eyes widen and all thoughts cease.

Wild had missed it thankfully, but the captain was already awake, along with the Rancher and the Old Man. They all send him knowing looks and smirking smiles.

Legend coughs. Where did that come from? Why did you do that? Why was that so cute?

It was the final nail on the coffin. Legend finds that he's fully embarrassed and unable to keep his head up, even while you're right next to him.

You laugh at his reaction, pulling away slightly. He stops you from getting too far despite his better judgement. You snort. "Too much?"

"The day just started." Warrior snorts. "Go easy on him."

You nod, still smiling. "Alright then. I will. Sorry Legend."

"It's fINe."

More giggles follow, and Legend realizes that he doesn't actually care that much. It's such a lovely sound.

Hyrule

Hyrule didn't know just how soft the world could be, not until he met you. It was hard to explain. One moment it was life or death and the next is was tender touches, feather light whispers and stolen glances.

His heart fluttered at the thought of being by your side. He gets nervous and shy but happy and playful. It was strange to feel a mix of everything soft but good and light.

His life was always full of intensity whether he wanted to acknowledge it or not. He was always on the move and everything was big and bright and bold. Suddenly, when he's next to you, it all comes to a stop and it's quiet. It's sweet and lovely and new and just as exciting as everything else.

"You ok?" You asked him out of the blue. You bumped your hips against his and it's enough for him to struggle to meet your eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Hyrule laughs nervously, ruffling his hair for good measure. He hopes that he doesn't seem too strange or weird. He just wants to have a good time with you today as you all make your way to the town. "Sorry, I'm just thinking about some stuff."

"Must be pretty serious." You nod, putting your hands behind your back. "It has nothing to do with me, does it?"

You're being cheeky but it's closer to the truth than Hyrule wants to admit. He coughs, hitting himself in the chest a few times for good measure. "You'll never know."

"That's a yes." You laugh. "What's it about? I'm not annoying you, am I?"

"Of course not!" He snaps to you, horrified about the implications. "I love hanging out with you! I would never think that!"

You snort, beginning to pink up a little. It's a lovely shade on you, Hyrule realizes. And they way you giggle, hiding your smile behind your hand simply makes it a sweeter image in his mind. "Rulie, I was kidding."

His mind comes to a screeching halt.

"...Oh." Hyrule can feel his face pink up a little as well. Perhaps he came on a little too strong. "Right...I knew that."

You giggle even louder and pat him on the head before you toss your arms around his shoulders. "You're a sweetheart, Traveler. May you never change."

You then give him a big kiss on his cheek, poking it for good measure as you tease. "You're too good for this world. I might just have to take you home with me."

He gulps, biting his lip in an attempt to keep his cool. "CoOl."

He loses it.

With his voice crack, he gives up completely and hides his face behind his own hands. You seem to find it more amusing, laughing louder at his expense.

"Don't worry, Link. I love hanging out with you too."

"...AwesOme."

Bury him, this is embarrassing. He thought he was better than this... At least you seem to be having a good time.

Warrior

Warrior was about to have a crisis.

Why were you so alluring? How can someone do everything so perfectly? How is it that he makes himself look like an idiot when he so much as opens his mouth when he talks to you?

Warrior knew that this was a dangerous road he was on.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, he tries to keep the idea that he's being watched, either by Lana or by Cia. He can't afford to step out of his place. To be close to you would just put a new target on your back.

Granted, he knows that she's changed... supposedly. He has no reason to trust that Cia would be able to control herself if she couldn't do it the first time around- Ganondorf or no Ganondorf.

And here he was, spending more time trying to impress you and get your attention that he knew it was worth.

"Found a new target, lover boy?" Twilight knocks the side of his head, sitting down by his side. "You know you can ask for a painting of them. It would last longer."

"Shut up." Warrior punches him. "Don't make it weird. They're just... very nice to look at."

"Uh-huh."

"Don't say a word-"

"Hey!" Twilight calls out to you, getting your attention. You wave back and jog over.

"What's up?" You put your hands on your hips. Warrior can't believe this. He so needs to get back at Twilight for this. This is just cruel.

"The Captain and I need a third person opinion." Twilight explains naturally. Warrior has no idea where he's going with this. "Would it be better or worse if we were to compliment you on your hair today?"

You snort and raise an eyebrow. "I beg your pardon?"

"You're pardoned." Twilight smirks. "Warrior wasn't so sure if he should say something but I'm under the idea that he should."

Warrior coughs. Is he being helped or dragged alive? He's lost full control of the situation. What is he supposed to do?"

"Aww!" You grin and lean down to kiss his cheek. "Thank you very much, Captain. Just say so next time."

He makes a choked sound before he nods. He's surely blushing. You're little snicker is all the confirmation he needs.

Twilight gives a lazy salute. "Thank you for clearing that up Darlin'."

"Any time."

Warrior turns to Twilight as you walk away. The Rancher has the most face splitting grin he's ever. "You're welcome."

"You're horrible."

"I believe a thank you is in order."

"....No..."

"Alright."

Sky

You were so pretty, Sky sighed into his hand. And so sweet and sassy. It excited him. It caught his attention in more ways than he thought possible. He wanted to know everything you had to say. He wanted you to be happy and he wanted you to be safe.

He wanted to be your friend and he wanted you to like him so bad.

Sky knew that he was a romantic at heart and he knew (at least in some degree) that he was slowly crushing on you.

Not that he had any chance with you. He wouldn't dare be that hopeful. You seemed to get along better with Legend and Four than with him and he was ok with that.

He'd just admire you from a distance.

At least that's what he told himself.

"Hey." He approached you one day. He noticed that you had done something different with your hair and well... no one else commented on it. That's what people like, right? They change something up and get a compliment on it and it's nice, right? He's not overstepping some unspoken rule, right? There's no way he can overthink a simple compliment, right?

You turn to him, all smiles and oblivious to his internal turmoil. "Hey Sky! Good morning!"

He can feel himself flushing. Why is he already embarrassed? He didn't even say anything yet! He can't jump ship now!

"Good morning." He replies back, losing some of his bravado. He shouldn't say it. Oh, but he already has your attention. You're going to ask him if he needs anything. You're going to ask why he called out to them. You're going to ask him what's on his mind and he's going to have nothing to say to any your questions.

"What's up?" You pull some of your hair back and Sky's heart flutters with the movement.

"You changed your hair today." He admits softly. He anticipated your question yet it still managed to catch him off guard. There was no way for him to even remotely change the pathways in his head. He might as well be honest. "I thought that it looked really nice. I wanted to tell you that."

You blink before beaming.

He's aback by your reaction, but at least you seem happy.

"Oh Sky! You're a sweet heart!" You cry, leaning over. You kiss his cheek faster than he can react and poke his nose. "Thank you! I'm really happy with how it came out. I have to go help Time with something real quick, but I'll talk to you later, ok?"

Sky nods, not trusting his tongue.

"Thank you, Sky!" You call out as you walk away.

Sky takes a shaky breath. He didn't anticipate that reaction. His mind betrays him as it replays the soft touch of your lips against his skin. His hands come to cover his face as he falls into a squat.

That was cute. He's doomed.

Wind (Reader is same age as Wind)

Wind was hiding behind a rock, watching as you fluttered around the camp. You'd spend a little time between each guy, watch what he was doing, ask a few questions about it, then move on the next one.

They all seemed to give you a little bit of time to tell you about themselves, their hobbies, they're hopes, their passions and maybe, if you smiled sweetly enough, they would tell a little story as well.

It was driving Wind crazy.

It was taking too long! Each guy was getting their turn but never once looked around for him! He was cool! He had stories! He could make stuff too!

He huffed and tossed himself on the side of the rock, sliding down his hiding spot with his arms crossed. Some guys seemed to be annoyed when you talked to them, but he wouldn't dare treat you that way. They should feel honored to have your attention.

You were so special. You were wonderful. Incredible. Breath taking.

Wind jumps and pulls his arm away from the rock. He had gotten cut. Great, another disappointment. Wind pokes it, watching as little beads of crimson blink up at him as he shifts. "Ow."

"Are you finally going to come out, scardy cat?" You teased popping your head around the rock.

Wind jumped again, hiding his arm against his side. He says your name, because it's the only thing he can think to do. "H-hi!"

"I've been watching you." You continue to tease. "Just like you've been watching me! What are you doing over here anyway?"

"Um. I...Was..." Wind can't think of a lie fast enough. Given the way you raise an eyebrow, Wind knows that he also has his lying face on. He sighs, suddenly feeling stupid. "Hiding."

"Hiding?" You don't sound impressed. It's another hit to his pride. "Hiding from what? Get up, dork."

You giggle and grab his arm. Wind hiss and you drop him like a hot potato. "Wind?"

He looks back to his cut. There's more blood than before, but it's not the worst cut he's gotten. It just stings.

"Oh...oh my god, when did that happen?" You drop to your knees, taking a rag from your belt, to wipe the blood. "Wind! When did you get hurt?"

"Not long ago." He pouts, letting you do whatever. It's too late for him. There's no coming back from this. "It just happened."

You frown, putting pressure above the cut. Wind hisses again but doesn't move away. "No wonder. If Warrior saw this, you wouldn't get your sword back for a week."

"He acts like my dad." Wind gripes. "Who let him do that?"

"You do."

"What!?"

You laugh again, pulling the rag away. It appears that the bleeding has stopped. "Don't be stupid. Come hang out with the rest of us. It's not the end of the world."

"No."

"Why not?"

"I don't wanna."

"Pleeaasee?" You pout back, gesturing to his arm. "I'd even kiss it better."

"No, you wouldn't-"

You reach and take his wrist, pulling his arm away so that you can kiss the spot where he's hurt. Suddenly, it doesn't sting so much anymore.

He flushes a deep red color while you look... not that much better actually. "There. Come on. It's all better now."

You get to your feet and pull him up. Wind follows you without a second thought. Both of your faces are flushed with embaressment.

"What happened to you two?" Time raises an eyebrow.

"I fell." You blurt. "On top of Wind. Not my great moment."

Time hums and turns to Wind. "Is this true sailor?"

Wind curses in his head. Time has some knowing look on his face. He doesn't like it. Not trusting to speak, and only feeling more shame creep up his neck, Wind covers his face and nods.

Let them guess. He won't talk about it.

Just realized that Crow and Violet enter the Phantom thieves group with the same condition, though not the same circumstances.

They both first Joined as a fake of themselves, fooling everyone. Then they were a 2-phase boss fight, where the true self gets revealed. Then they join the team, for good and for real.

ANON YOU'RE SO RIGHT I'M

I'll always be a little sad that Atlus never went all-in on the SumiGoro friendship/parallels potential... o7 another fallen dynamic for the pit

in all seriousness, though: many people have talked about the Akechi and Sumire parallels far better than I ever could, but I'll talk some more anyway!

I think the most obvious parallel is in who they admire/resent. Sumire, obviously, admires Kasumi in every way- undercut with resentment that she's scared to ackowledge. Akechi, meanwhile, resents Joker to hell and back, undercut with layers of admiration that he refuses to admit to (+ uh. shauke angst HAHA)

Both are lying to themselves about their other halves, but even more interestingly: Both Kasumi and Joker see Sumire and Akechi respectively as their equals/rivals, despite everything, and even though it may seem that one half is clearly better than the other at first glance.

Sumire's coach, during the Faith confidant, tells Sumire how Kasumi had worked so hard because she knew if she didn't, Sumire would catch up to her- that Kasumi was jealous of Sumire's grace (Ironic, as meanwhile Sumire was desperate to emulate Kasumi's boldness)

Joker's a bit different -silent protag, and all- but, even still: "I'll hold onto you're glove", "I won't lose"- so much of Joker's dialogue about Akechi makes it clear that he takes the other seriously. Plus, the consistent reminders that the promise for a rematch hasn't been fulfilled: clearly, Joker doesn't consider the interrogation room nor the engine room 'fair fights', or true indicators of either's skill (stop me before I go on a tangent)

It's not just Joker=Kasumi and Sumire=Akechi, though. The fact that both sides of each equation are equals means that some lines get crossed. I'm thinking Kasumi's "Because that's my right, as the elder sister!" vs. Akechi's "Going all out against a junior seems a bit gauche, don't you think?"- both Kasumi and Akechi seem to have this idea that they have to be better (a bit of speculation on my part, for Kasumi)- they have no excuse to lose; it's only natural if they win, and incredibly dissapointing otherwise.

back to crow/violet parallels, they also act as excellent foils for each other in the royal trio dynamic: Sumire, when faced with low self-esteem and terrible circumstances, latches onto people that she considers "better"- imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all! And Sumire has imitation in spades.

Akechi, meanwhile, distances himself from pretty much everyone. He seems to value shallow praise of people that don't really see, rather than experience the mortifying ordeal of being known, and whatnot.

but even then, Akechi does have some similar tendencies to Sumire- he just hides it under layers of deflection and lying to himself. He claims to absolutely hate Shido and Joker, and while I don't doubt that, necessarily, it's clearly far more complicated than that. Akechi, no matter how he feels about them, lives and dies by the will of his obsessions- and by the time of the third semster, he's had enough. (while, conversely, Sumire hasn't quite learned to stand on her own)

Actually, speaking of the third semester; Maruki's reality also highlights some similarities between the two, as the two people most egregiously edited by the false reality: Sumire, back to believing she's Kasumi, and Akechi as "I've never had a violent thought in my life!" pleasant boy. Those two are the only members of the PT where Maruki goes straight for the personality.

So, this is going to be a very long post as I've seen a lot of the movies. I also have a couple books which I can give my opinion, and I'm familiar with various apparitions in videogames and such. So yeah this is going to be a loooooooong post.

So, let's start with movies as those are easier to grab and talk about for me. I'm gonna go with their year of release ot keep things organized.

Shchelkunchik (1973)

Small silly dramatic guy, I like him! The animators did a great job animating his design and make him incredibly appealing. As for his human appearance, eeeeeh I don't really care for him. Definitely a shock the first time you see it lol But yes, adorable silly guy

Nutcracker Fantasy (1979)

Li'l guy. It is Sanrio so it's bound to be on the cute side. The Nutcracker itself doesn't do much in the movie, but as for Fritz himself, I... honestly don't care about him. He looks pretty, but personality wise he needs to work on it pff Idk he just comes out as plain and a little arrogant... Still a fine fellow, though.

Nutcracker: The Motion Picture (1986)

One of the two ballet-based movies I've seen, and definitely the better one of the two imo. And good lord I love this guy. He may look terrifying but good lord if he's silly. And I actually don't mind his human appearance as simple as it is. Silly man, this one.

It could be said that nothing was going right that day; you woke up late making your appearance more sloppy and disheveled than usual, you were scolded with the punishment of cleaning several classrooms and you got a low score on an exam. Nothing worse could happen, right? As soon as you left your class you received a message from the girls in the club, they seemed quite worried about you, as if something had happened to you. You reassured them by sending several messages, they told you that someone had entered the area where they planted the flowers without permission, so you ran there quickly.

You didn't even realize that the guys from the team saw you run desperately towards your club and followed you. When you arrived your eyes opened, some plants were destroyed without petals or crushed, the land with fertile soil completely removed causing destruction, the fertilizer scattered all over the place and the most remarkable thing; on the wall was a word written in what looked like red paint.

Monster

Your brow furrowed at the written word. What did that mean? Your companions looked at each other, sighing heavily, they explained that someone had surely entered leaving everything upside down to give a warning, they were not sure but they believed that that person did not like that you were friends with Tendou.

The girls looked behind you to gulp, there were some of the volleyball boys, including Tendou who was looking around the room with narrowed eyes and a weird expression. Seeing this, they told you that it would be better to start collecting tomorrow and that, for today they would only inform the director. When you faced the boys you just lowered your head, gave them a thumbs up to inform them that everything would be fine, they just nodded without much confidence to walk to the convenience store as usual. Right now you were in a corridor together with the redhead buying some snacks, but there was a strange silence, normally he used to talk freely about his things no matter what but he was just quiet.

«Are you okay?»

He looked at you for a few seconds to brush your hair with a vague smile.

"Sure, why wouldn't I be?"

He grabbed his things to go quickly to pay, leaving you a little disconcerted by his behavior, you blinked back to reality, taking advantage of the fact that Eita was passing by, you tugged on his sleeve to get his attention, writing quickly.

«Something wrong with Tendou?»

The boy looked at you feeling a little uncomfortable, even so he replied that usually people pick on him or push him away for having that bad appearance, you thanked him with a nod. The time you had spent with Semi was enough for Ushijima and Tendou to reach the entrance of the campus where there were more people who were probably leaving their activities. You ran to catch up with them but tripped over a stone on your way, luckily a boy saved you from kissing the ground.

"Oh, you should be more careful."

He smiled kindly although something inside you told you not to trust him, he seemed familiar to you, maybe he was an honor student in some class you helped with the flower decorations because he seemed to know you. You bowed indicating that you would go to the side of your friends, who watched the scene.

"You shouldn't hang out with that team, they're too weird."

Somewhat disconcerted you looked at him, his friends nodded, you denied wrinkling your eyebrows.

"You are too fragile, we will treat you better."

You denied again, causing a sour expression on the contrary.

"Do you have a problem with our friend?"

Your savior Shirabu intervened, you mentally thanked him for his salty personality right now.

"I don't think it's convenient for you to mess with people older than you, little boy."

"Little boy? At least I'm not as mononeural as you, surely you're in class one, or do you have a poor scholarship?"

Apparently he was right to see how the boy got angry causing an arrogant smile to slide over the setter's features. This action further pissed off the other one who was preparing to hit the second year if it wasn't for a roaring laugh that stopped everyone.

"How nice, Shirabu playing the hero."

The redhead put a hand on your shoulders, giving a vague nod of greeting, earning disapproving looks from the teens.

"Let's go, we don't want to cause problems for old Washijo with fights."

He excused himself to drag you to where the others were but they pulled on your arm strongly, your face hit the chest of the boy who helped you before, your cheeks inadvertently dyed with embarrassment.

"Don't put her in your things, monster."

Tendou narrowed his eyes looking at you, you were starting to get uncomfortable about the situation.

"You should let her go."

His voice sounded deeper than usual.

"Oh yeah? I don't want someone like you to hurt her, she's too helpless."

"Let her go."

"Force me."

From one moment to another you were pushed towards one of the boy's henchmen seeing how they hit Tendou, you didn't even notice when Shirabu pulled you to his side and how Ushijima stopped the fight. You felt bad seeing how they looked at him, how they had treated him and how he did not defend himself despite the blows, you felt his pain and that oppressed your heart. the worst thing is that you couldn't do anything else because they took him to the infirmary, you really felt as if they had hit you instead of him.

In elementary school, Kenyu was an honor student. Although he was a little cowardly, he was first and foremost, a kind, hard-working kid. he always did his homework and happily greeted everyone. Got along well with his peers and never fought. He was someone that both his classmates and teachers could rely on. When it was time to choose class president, Tomoda nominated him, and everyone joined in agreeing to nominating Kenyu. But after half a year, something shocking had occurred.

Little by little Kenyu had become better friends with his seatmate Tomoda, frequently going to his house after school. Tomoda had a kind sister three years their senior. She would often give them candy and play games with them. One day, Kenyu had gone over to play with Tomoda, to be told by his older sister that he hadn’t gotten home yet and was possibly taking a detour. She told Kenyu to go ahead and wait upstairs for him, but he wondered if maybe he was meeting with other friends in the park. He wondered if he too should go to the park, but it’d be troublesome if he had assumed incorrectly. While he was lost in his thoughts, Tomoda’s sister suddenly came up to him and brushed away his bangs. His hair had always been soft, and his mom had always helped him style it, so the Tomoda’s sister had always complemented him, saying his hair made him look so handsome like a model. It wasn’t unusual for her to touch his hair, but that wasn’t all that happened that day. In addition, she kissed his forehead. His eyes widened as his brain was left short-circuiting. “Huh?”

“My beloved Kenyu, let’s play together” she had said with sparkling eyes. Kenyu could feel his heart racing. “…I’ve gotta go to the park..!” His face turned bright red and he ran out. He didn’t end up, going to the park, but instead of ran back home to his room, waiting for his racing heart to still.

“My beloved Kenyu” He had repeated her words in his mind. he didn’t really understand it all, but he was happy that she said she liked him. He was a bit embarrassed, though that she had kissed him. He thought himself, “I’m never telling anyone about this.”

The handsome class president and honor student. By the time he became a second year, he had grown taller, adding to his versatility in giving him athletic potential. as he continued growing, he came to be one of the tallest in his grade. He was fast at running, and he was always the last one left in dodgeball. Then, of course, came Sports Day. After comparing all the times in their PE Class, Kenyu’s high ranking had gotten him chosen for the relay race. Everyone was in agreement. He was tall, fast and the perfect fit for the job. He was to be the anchor for the relay race. Was it really all right for him to play such an important role? he felt a bit uneasy, but he would give his best once again for the people relying on him. Until the day of the sports festival, Kenyu would run every day. He’d wake up early to run and practice dashes on the field after school. Every Sunday, he’d have his father time him. Finally, it was time for the class relay. Under the clear sky, the fastest runners would compete while the cheer squads cheered them on. Kenyu’s class, 2-1, however, would compete in vain. After each grouping, members of his team would slip down the ranks. By the time Kenyu got the baton he was in last place. There is a huge gap between him and the top, all the people running in front of him are the fastest in their class after all. But Kenyu had to try his best. Everyone had chosen him as anchor after all. He steadily started accelerating, passing by another player in just a quick moment. With his large physique moving vigorously and his feet firmly stomping against the ground, he gradually closed the gap between the other runners. His classmates all cheered for him, and as they continued supporting him, he continued gaining speed. Even the announcer from the broadcasting club got caught up in the excitement. With the loud cheers under the blue sky, Kenyu passed the final goal, bursting past the four other racers and finishing first. It’s the first time he’d ever run so fiercely. His chest heaved as he caught his breath. Kenyu had finished first for the sixth graders. His classmates had showered him with praise, wearing a big smiles on their faces as they crowded around him. Kenyu thanked them for their support, feeling that their cheers had powered him on. Kenyu was honest and sincere. He didn’t know he could run that fast. It’s because everyone had believed in him that he was able to discover a new part of him. To Kenyu, it was an incredibly joyous moment. A few days after that, when he got home, a shiny soccer ball was waiting for him in the doorway. Kenyu was surprised and had wondered what it was for. His parents had thought it would be good for him to give soccer a try, seeing how he was so fast. It would make him more popular too. After seeing that their child had such amazing speed they suggested that he try out a sport and bought him a soccer ball. Of course his mother also wanted to see him popular. Immediately, Kenyu went outside and tried kicking the ball. As he ran with the ball, he found that he couldn’t stop. He’d kick it forward and chase after it continuing on. “This is fun!”, he thought to himself. In all honesty, being able to dribble without losing speed is a technique that’s difficult for beginners, but Kenyu, blessed with incredible athletic ability, was able to do it from the start. That’s how Kenyu “met” soccer, his parents had blessed him with the opportunity. As if it was fate, Kenyu found himself absorbed in soccer.

i do enjoy writing a good old dumb/oblivious reader every now and again but i do think they have to be done right to feel believable!! personally all of my y/ns and mcs are based off of aspects of my own personality — some closer to my actual self than others ofc — which i think makes it easier to flesh them out because it’s just like “okay what would i do in that situation” LMAOO most of my side character ocs are based off of people i know too which again makes it easier to make them feel complex because it’s like “right so how would ___ react to that happening to them”…sometimes they end up not even being that similar (tullia in pomegranate ink is NOTHING like my irl best friend that she’s “based off of”) but just thinking of them as real people helps me treat them as such in the narrative!!

haha yes everyone does start somewhere so i never try to hate to their faces but i think it’s okay to acknowledge a general trend/pattern!! like there’s a difference between saying “your specific fic sucks i hate how you wrote your main character” versus being like “i think a lot of fics in x fandom have this problem with characterization”!! to me it’s not hate because people can decide whether that applies to them or not yk?? and yeah the wattpad uwu mcs are truly smth…or the ones that are meant to be “badass” but are really just loud/rude/make overly sexual jokes and swear a lot 😭 a lot of the times at first it’s easy to make characters as stereotypes/caricatures of themselves or have them composed of cliches but i do think most people grow out of it i quickly!! just a phase we must all go through i suppose…i will be the first to say i was cringe when i started writing that’s why half of my old works are private now 😩

random thoughts i have while playing isat pt. 3

yippeee the king killed us all :DDD now begins the suffering

ok, so like. the lets talk about the tarot cards. because this shit hurt me PERSONALLY and i need other people to think REAL HARD about this. i've only gotten 2 (there's 1 "true" card for each act, any others drawn after the first will be random if I recall???); six of swords and a reversed draw of the star.

six of swords is a pretty simple card- it's a transitionary card, marking the start of a journey that will impact the drawer (i use biddy tarot for reference occasionally, they base their descriptions on the Rider-Waite deck's meanings, which is standard for most), specifically "moving forwards towards the unknown". the change "may be your own doing or forced upon you", but overall it is meant to make you a better person as you work through the struggle of change. you get this card in act 2, once the loops start and you have to start doing the puzzles to figure out how to get up to the king. at this point, siffrin is pretty convinced that the loops are a gift, but given the indication by the card that the journey may not be pleasant this kind of sets up players for the second draw;

the star reversed is much, MUCH more interesting in it's meaning. i say reversed because it's made pretty clear that siffrin draws it upside-down the first time, then flips it over to see the text. for people not really well versed in tarot, draw a card upside down (aka reversed) can cause the card to have different meanings. in the case of the star, when drawn upright it is a sign of hope and faith, as well as purpose and spirituality. however, when drawn in reverse, it means the opposite: "lack of faith, despair, self-trust, disconnection". this is all well and good, but what really punched me in the gut was reading the first sentence of the biddy tarot description for this draw; "The Star Reversed can mean that you’ve lost faith and hope in the Universe."

And boy, if that doesn't perfectly describe how Siffrin begins to crumble after act 2? the use of Universe with a capital U is also very important to note. there's some other notes for this card too, specifically about feeling "overwhelmed", "questioning why you are being put through this", "desperately calling out to the Universe to give you some reprieve but struggling to see how the Divine is on your side", and the card being a "test of faith". further reading also notes loss of enthusiasm for life and experiences you may have liked prior to your challenges, boredom, and disconnect. It's so heavy-handed that i legit had to put down my computer when i read it. the beginning of the complete disillusionment of siffrin after act 2 and the slippery slope of act 3 fits this card SO WELL, i applaud insertdisc5 for including this

Another note: we're all gonna point out the obvious- loop, being themself a star, is a pretty overt reference to this card as well. i mean, they literally have similar experiences, but their loops went on for so much longer. an important thing to note is that part of the page on this draw says something REALLY interesting; "you can either crumble like The Tower or stand firm in your conviction that the Divine is everywhere". the tower is a SUPER interesting card to bring up with, expecially given the context that loop gave in. they were tired, and they wished for an end, in some way shape or form. in a weird sort of way, by succumbing to the "bad ending" of the reversed star card, they become a sort of representation of the upright card as well, being a helpful figure and guide, giving siffrin hope. it kinda rounds out their whole character really well for me in that context

This is just me rambling about fandom trends cause I wanted to inflict it on my timeline instead of people's DMS.

Okay so I kinda stopped reading SBI for a while, except for my especial subscriptions (got burned out on tommy-centric), and then I got invited into a friend server with a bunch of new young writers and dipped my toe back into what's going on in the genre. Staring around the room like "what's happened while I was buried in a spreadsheet? Oh my."

And it has been FASCINATING.

First of all like, there's just like, a lot of Dark SBI, to the point that it seems like more than when I last checked? Which I don't have a problem with, but it's always very interesting to me because that seems very much like a reaction to fandom trends, more than canon? Like people get tired of a certain dynamic (foster aus! good dad phil! exploration of canon!) and decide they want something else. And what they want is kidnapping, which like. That's an honourable tradition in fiction, o7. Seems like a lot of kidnapping to me, but you do you.

Also, on the other side of the coin, there's also a lot of tooth-rotting-fluff, similarly focused in on like— okay like a lot of that was crimeboys, which is a canon dynamic, but once you add in the pet names and like, platonic kissing, that's not streamer dynamic either, that's a new third thing which is made up by the fandom. Neither of those boys are that open about their emotions, you made that one up. This isn't canon-compliant OR RPF, it's a secret third thing.

Like I can't stress enough that this characterization, in the trends taken as a whole, is neither drawn from canon nor from non-lore streamer, this is something else entirely. Tommy is very sad and baby and cries a lot, and Techno looms and doesn't make jokes and calls people "runt" a lot, and Wilbur is very clingy (and emotionally intelligent in the fluff and sometimes for evil reasons in the dark)— phil doesn't tend to get much characterization except sometimes murder, which honestly I cheer on whole-heartedly.

It just seems to me that this is very much fandom reaction to fandom? Like it's fic in conversation with other fic and other characterizations and filling in the gaps with other fic. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of these writers don't follow the streamers and don't watch their ongoing content, and don't go back to the lore streams either. It's just all recursive fic. And I'm not saying that as a bad thing, just as a thing that makes me go Oooo, huh. Look at that.

Which is interesting to me as we look at not getting more DSMP content in the future, to see if we end up with a self-sustaining little fandom engine cause for me (techno-centric), I'm not getting any more lore content, but for some of this fandom (subscribed to a bunch of writers who post once a week) they're getting new content about their blorbos all the time. Their blorbos that again, I have to stress, were made up by the fandom and have minimal relationship to the streamers or the lore.

Okay and that is all stuff that makes sense to me— it's fic of fic, it's responding to fic trends, characterization has drifed from the source text and settled into a fanon canon. Now we get into the thing that makes me go ???????

Which is that everyone seems to be doing father-son relationships now? And not really Dadza, which at least I'm like, okay, sometimes phil is dad-like specifically to tommy, but Dadbur and Dadnoblade? Which makes me go?????? Tommy gets aged down to like 9-14 or something, so he's sad baby, and then techno or wilbur is a nebulous Adult, and then they have either a dark or a joyous found family moment with cuddles in.

And okay I've been hanging out over in emduo-centric and broad-dsmp-cast with dips into hermitcraft, I full on record-scratched when I hit technodad for the first time.

APPERANTLY, I hear from other people, dadbur stories just spiked through the roof after the utah ending, which made me go???? I guess the idea is that you could walk away from a brotherly relationship but not from a parental relationship? Which uh, as someone who's seen what happens in the bad dad phil tag I hate to break it to you, but, anyways, you do you.

And if there's dadbur, they have to get techno in with that. Guys there is so much technodad now. It's bedrock bros but they're not bros any more. Tommy is baby and Techno takes care of him. Serious dad technoblade.

And the best theory I have for what's happening is that this is twitter-driven, because you want that close relationship with affection, but you're realllllllly scared of anyone saying Shippping, so by making it a parental relationship you're even more platonic? It's either platonic-driven or just a need to make tommy soooooo baby and a dad will take care of him more than a brother will? But again, a dad can do that and still be platonic, where if it's just a brother that will be too much?

I can cling frantically to logic and follow a thread through to where I'm like okay, I guess that makes sense, but oh man as someone who barely even thought it made sense when people dad-coded Phil, I see Technodad and I go HEH???

Anyways, that has been my last few weeks of avoiding my deadlines by reading what the fandom babies in discord recommend. Discovering new levels of fanon characterizations and so much dad-coding. My WIPs are going well.

But okay, for context, this is about Minecraft Content Creators:: Dream and Tommyinnit mostly, but it's also about another Mexican YouTuber called Quackity

Basically, a super long time ago already actually, Dream announced he was making a new Minecraft server, after the DSMP tragically passed away o7 that was gonna be called the USMP (I'm pretty sure it standed for United SMP but no clue honestly.)

And the exciting new feature about this USMP was going to be this real time translator, so content creators from all over the world could play together (Side thought: I don't think the translations were actually that good either way lol they were machine translated lol)

But literally like that Same night, Quackity announced that actually he was making his own server, the QSMP that had that exact same feature

So they basically kinda fought back and forth over who actually had ownership over the idea or who ripped off who, and while the YouTubers themselves didn't really do much, beyond being way too public about it, but like honestly, what's the Minecraft sphere without incredibly levels of parasociality involved.)

The fanbase was completely deranged over it tho, because you know, Stans gotta be Stans.

A lot of people got doxed, and stalked, literally putting trackers on people's cars, a lot of racism (Hi, hello, that happened to me) just a shitshow overall.

I wanna say that even though I stopped liking Dream ages ago Dream Stans get the worst possible treatment from everybody, just idk, people feel very entitled to mistreating anybody with a ":)" on their bio.

At the end, it finally died down, and then, Tommyinnit, most annoying man on Earth.

Made an ohhh politically incorrect video that was just fake edgy and kinda boring, where at the end he called Dream, basically a crybaby manchild who was gonna get killed by Tommy's LARP Dad Philza Minecraft.

Dream found out, got passive aggressive on Twitter, Tommy doubled down, and then like a stream later, he was being whiny and sighing ,and apparently watching DNF edits of Dream's, new at the time, LP.

Which kinda gave off the message that he really sacrificed a years long friendship to try to get into an SMP that his bestie Tubbo made it into before him

And which he never will, because the QSMP is a very deeply controlled space, with almost no super young content creators, and Tommy's first DSMP video was him literally breaking the only rules of that the server had, so yeah, that's never happening.

(And then, his mom went online to defend him, like boy the way I'm immediately killing myself if that ever happens to me, plus the dream stans discussing with this woman over her son, literally most annoying people in the world.)

And today, Dream made a (In my opinion, super boring) stream just showing the USMP, and talking a bit about Tommy and Quackity.

He kinda implies that the reason the USMP will never see the light of day is because of that drama, but like, that man has never once pushed through on any of his proyects, that SMP was doomed to fail from the very beginning.

I must clarify tho, that my annoyance with Tommy isn't the fact that he dissed Dream. I just freaking don't like the guy, he literally built his entire career on being a mysoginistic lowkey lesbophobic annoying brat.

Kinda sucks that Tommy is the one making the biggest mcyt related videos at the current time, solely because he's got the resources and the connections for it, literally the best part of his channel is being a host for other content creators to be funny and shine.

I still love Quackity tho, he can hit it for free any day of the week, and that's on God

A CRUSH ON A WHAT. LMFAOOOO god I love him what a dork.

You have no idea how validating that first bit is, omg 😭😭 I'm super excited to write him in These Hands Are Rated E For Ender King Everyone mode, pissed off reaper boy kinda [floshed]. Most of it comes after Phil gets possessed, but even in Chapter 3 I've included a moment where HE'S the one protecting Phil!! Like. Pissers and Crows PLEASE, these two can uno reverse!! Phil can be as much of a wreck as Missa can!! Missa can have his shit together sometimes like Phil can!! These two are more similar than you think!!

But yeah, the lack of translations and easily accessible highlights of Missa moments is a huge factor in why I personally haven't seen much Missa beyond him fumbling for his life on the server. I DID however tune in for a fraction of a stream where he was with Roier super early on, and I barely understood what was going on but I enjoyed watching them talk shit at each other regardless. And that was BEFORE we got an additional like 3 ways to have translations for streams not in our language!! I'll 100% seek out English subtitled vods if such things exist bc I've been dying to be able to understand and keep track of what's going on from his POV for ages. Quackity owes me so much for making me regret never having an interest in foreign language as a teenager, it's biting me in the ass so hard & shit like Duolingo sucks (esp bc Duolingo uses half-assed AI now apparently). 😭

Although the resources for it are scarce, I'm still gonna fight my ass off to find reliable and complex interpretations of qMissa one way or another even if it's just shitposts bc I s2g, I HATE when people horrifically misunderstand Phil. (Stares at Tubblings. Stares at Dadza Only mfs. Stares at the people who don't understand that he doesn't realize his flaws are flaws). So OF COURSE I'm gonna seek out better info on Missa, bc Missasaurios are way deeper in the trenches on this kind of issue than Crows, and we're already pretty deep.

I wish Missa wasn't so preoccupied by other things so he'd get on the server more, bc I guarantee a lot of the characterization issues among ENG fans/Crows would dissipate if he was on consistently enough for them to see that he's not just Get Online -> Simp for Phil & care for eggs -> Scream and cry and be goofy while suffering the horrors -> log off and repeat in like 2 months. While plenty of people deffo aren't seeking out better understanding of qMissa, there's surely tons of them who would change how they talk abt him if he was on the server enough to Really show how much they're ignoring/missing about him.

Either way, I at the very least am fighting right along side Spanish Missasaurios bc oh my god, your cubito is not strictly a lovingly pathetic simp. o7

I even went as far as to slap some parts of the post in Google Translate encouraging Spanish qsmp fans to reply to me and I'd just have someone translate their analysis for me. Which I did (thank u Kami ily). And I was so fucking happy when more of my responses came from Spanish speaking fans than English. Peak QSMP moment <3

But anyway yeah. Missa's characterization has been lowkey my biggest concern writing the fic tbh. I wanna do him justice. He definitely isn't written as a pathetic woobified uwu cinnamon roll, that's for sure.

I've been staring very hard at the paragraphs people gave me on his character and I THINK I've been doing a decent job at balancing the "gets overwhelmed by things" wet cat side Crows see AND the "um actually he could kick your ass and can be a bitchy little shit" reality?? Mans is getting lots of moments where he's like "fuck this" and gets ready to Literally Fight God. There's still lots of tears, but like, if YOUR husband was in front of you covered in his own blood and lookin like he's rapidly wasting away in real time, you'd be an emotional wreck too. So I'm decently confident in his characterization, but I still have that "AAAAA I HOPE I'M DOING THIS RIGHT" worry. 100% gonna be clinging to comments from readers about if I did him justice. So far I've characterized everyone (Phil, Fit, Etoiles) super well according to readers. 😭🙏🏻 Hoping I keep up the streak with Missa in Chapter 3.

The discussion you've been having is exactly why I'm doing my best to do him actual justice. And I might actually read back through your posts and translate the Spanish bits just to get even more insight. I don't see enough people talking about qMissa like this.

And on a semi-related note, GOD I wish there were more YouTube clip compilations of Missa moments. Like idec if they're not just qsmp, I want more of them in general!! Idk if I just wasn't searching well enough or what but when I went looking a while back, there were MAYBE 2 videos at all, let alone Eng subtitled so I could understand them. And rooting through Tumblr for clips is a pain. 💀

Tommy didn't look well, his face looked like the verge of crying and wilbur down. Philza was trying his best to comfort them and himself at the same time. Phil came back with the gold and gave it to tommy. Tommy kept working on his build as Phil and Wilbur chatted to him. 

Lets see, now where were you in the picture? Sadly dead. A few days before the stream you got into a terrible accident, having Tommy be the first one to know. His screams and pleas were the last thing you heard before everything turned to black and you woke up. But not on earth. Everything happened so fast you didn't even have time to say goodbye. Soon after everyone heard about the news, your fans and other members of the smp flooded social media with all their prayers and comments for you. 

“We love you y/n…” Tommy said as he backed up from the building to reveal a monument just for you. Phil and Tommy stood by his side as Tommy can be seen in his camera crying. Anyone would have felt offended or angry at such a statement, well, it was not your case. Although you hadn't been living with Tendou for years, you had also learned something when you talked to him, you had learned his body language just like he learned yours. You only had to look at him to tell that you would let him think for a few days, because his comment didn't feel real, it seemed more like something forced and it was. Tendou didn't want to cause you trouble, even though he didn't choose the best way to get you out of trouble, you didn't blame him. In a way you understand how he felt about the situation, you were like the opposite example of the redhead; while they helped you with everything, thinking you were someone fragile and sweet because of your disability, they saw him as someone terrifying, a weirdo who caused terror because of his astute intuition. However people didn't see how really tough you could be or how really fragile Tendou could be.

The days that you left him alone to think, you dedicated yourself to talking to the director to solve the problem with the boys who destroyed the garden. You collected the necessary evidence to blame them and they were expelled for fighting with the blocker, he only received a punishment from his coach for being banned for a week without club activities. Things calmed down remarkably the following days, but despite that you had some discomfort in your chest, you were in the boys' training as usual but Tendou seemed more distracted than usual, not to mention that when you tried to talk to him he ended the conversation quickly to run away from you, you felt as if he was avoiding you, you understood that he still thought that he should not be your friend so that they would not say bad things of you related to him.

You blinked a few times to realize that Shirabu was standing next to you, you shook your head to clear it, you bowed apologetically receiving a sigh from the boy. You both walked to the gym without hurry, but you still felt that discomfort so you grabbed your cell phone to write a message.

He looked at you with a raised eyebrow.

"Are you saying this because of his behavior?" you agreed "Yeah, surely it would be good for him to talk with you to clear things up."

You thanked with a small smile, making him roll his eyes. You went to the stands after greeting the team, as you always watch silently clapping from time to time to encourage them. You wanted to concentrate on seeing everyone get better but your eyes unconsciously went to the red hair.

They finally finished their session and now you were standing next to the door with your eyes closed, enjoying the tranquility until several laughs were heard inside the gym, curious you poked your head only to see Tendou entangled in a net. You looked at him for a few minutes, he was smiling while doing stupid things from one side to the other, his slanted eyes thanks to his smile seemed too cute, his expression, his lips, his hair, the way he moved everything seemed too cute.

You felt the heat rise to your ears as you realized that Ushijima had probably seen how you admired his partner, so you shrunk in your spot nodding awkwardly.

"You should help him, he has to finish cleaning today."

He gave you a little push that was enough to get you in, you didn't even realize that everyone was gone except for the blocker, who was now struggling to disentangle himself. You shook your head seeing how he was constantly missing so you moved closer startling him.

«Need help?»

He sighed surrendered for you to start maneuvering, after a few long minutes in silence you managed to get him out of the net. You looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds but he looked away scratching the back of his neck.

"Thank you."

"No, thank you for everything..." he looked at you again, with a smile, although a small emptiness shone in his eyes "thank you for not getting away from me."

You felt your heart oppress at the redhead's expression, you didn't think too much to go before him and squeeze him in your arms, burying your face in his chest with some shame for your recent actions and thoughts. His big hands wandered over your back with slight movements, somewhat trembling from nervousness, yet both of you enjoyed the sensation for a few long minutes.

Tendou knew that he could always count on your support and he was eternally grateful for that.

Because actually the end credits scene for epinagi got refined in the Amazon prime release iirc so they gave Karasu and hiori a glow up (that locker room scene) and they look a lot less crunchy so manifesting…
