Picking herself up off the floor, yn glanced at her reflection in the dimly lit mirror. She wiped away the tears that had been streaming down her cheeks, wincing slightly at the redness that had set in. She took a deep breath, trying to compose herself, and attempted to make her face look presentable. With a final sigh, she opened the bathroom door and stepped into the dark bedroom. Her eyes softened as she took in the sight of Oscar, lying peacefully in bed, his face serene and calm.

Despite the turmoil inside her, she couldn't help but smile at how adorable he looked, lost in his dreams. Pushing her guilt and insecurities aside, she made her way over to his side of the bed. Gently, she reached out and tapped his shoulder. "Osc."

Oscar stirred slightly, his eyes remaining closed. "Yeah?" he mumbled, his voice thick with sleep. "You okay?"

Yn hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to begin. "I..." she faltered, then continued, "No, not really." Oscar opened his eyes just a fraction, enough for her to see the concern etched in his sleepy gaze. "I saw what people were saying about me online, and—"

Before she could finish, Oscar reached out and pulled her into the bed beside him. She sat at the edge, struggling to hold back more tears as he gently took her hand, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. He let out a soft, disappointed sigh. "I'm so sorry you had to see that."

"It's not your fault," she replied, shaking her head.

"And it's yours?" he countered gently. The way he said it made her realise how misplaced her thoughts had been. "Come here." He pulled her into his arms, and she nestled against him, feeling the warmth and safety of his embrace. Oscar held her tightly, as if trying to shield her from the cruel world outside.

"They were really mean," she whispered, her voice cracking.

"I know," Oscar murmured, his breath warm against her bare shoulder. "Unfortunately, it's something we drivers get used to, but it's always rough for someone new to the world of F1."

She let out a small, breathy laugh. "Talk about being new to the world, quite literally." A faint smile tugged at her lips. "Lando said he’d talk to his team tomorrow."

"We'll talk to the team tomorrow," Oscar corrected softly. He pulled back slightly, just enough to look into her eyes. "Hey, how about you tell me about your new project? You haven't mentioned it yet." His tone was gentle, encouraging, as if trying to distract her from her worries.

Yn looked at him, her heart swelling with love. The tears that had threatened to spill moments ago were now replaced by a shy, bashful smile. "Have I ever told you I love you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Oscar's eyes sparkled with affection. "Once or twice, I'm sure, but definitely not enough."

A warm, contented feeling settled over her. "I love you, Osc."

He smiled, leaning in to kiss her forehead tenderly. "I love you too, more than anything." He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and added, "No matter what anyone says, you are amazing, and I'm so proud of you."

this past weekend was tough on both mclaren drivers, decisons were made and oscar and lando are both excellent and talented drivers. lando is my brother and oscar is my boyfriend and best friend, there will never be a day where i chose between the two of them when they’re on a podium. i love them both so deeply and i will never pick a favourite.

okay i know i have requests in my inbox older than this one, but this jumped out at me the minute i got it and i just had to get on and write it

Warnings: smoking

The shirt on her body wasn't her own. Her forearms were on the balcony as she lifted the cigarette to her lips. The people marching through the streets below looked like little ants, she thoughts. But then she shook the thought away because it made her feel a little bit too much like an evil dictator.

"Hey," Lando walked up behind her, hand on her back as she came to stand beside her. He wore the softest smile as she rested his back against the balcony railings, looking back into the New York apartment they'd rented for the weekend.

Stubbing out her cigarette, she popped a mint into her mouth and stepped towards him. His nose crinkled at the smell that clung to her, but he quickly dropped it and wrapped his arms around her.

It was like they couldn't bear to be apart for more than two seconds. Looking at them, it was like they'd been apart for months, reunited at long last. At least, that was what Oscar thought as he watched them.

The coffee machine stopped. Grabbing the two mugs he had ready, Oscar walked out onto the balcony, joining his loves. He gave her the spare mug and stood beside Lando as he sipped his own. Lando never got a coffee; he hated the taste and the smell.

"You guys are killing me," he groaned as Oscar leaned forward and kissed his cheek.

"You're so dramatic," he laughed, hand on Lando's waist as he stepped around him to kiss her.

The post coital haze was like no other. They stood together on the balcony of the New York apartment, exchanging kisses and touches. New York, because they weren't expected to be there, because they had no reason to be there. New York, because it was a perfect escape.

Oscar was wearing his McLaren hat. Well, he was until she knocked it from his head and placed it down onto the table. "There," she said, raking her fingers through his hair, messing up the tamed locks.

By that point, it was too late. If Oscar hadn't been wearing that hat, they probably wouldn't have been spotted. Well, they might have. The tabloids always managed to find Lando. Fangirls on tiktok always managed to find Lando.

That was how images of the three of them getting rather... frisky on the balcony spread around the internet. If the pictures had just been the two of them kissing her, they could have saved face. But no. There were plenty of images of Oscar and Lando, lips locked and groping each other.

The three of them didn't know about it until the next race. She was home, watching it all unfold.

When the interviewer first asked about the pictures of them on the balcony, first asked about their trip to New York, both of their faces dropped. Nobody was supposed to know about that trip, nobody but them. The only pictures from that trip was supposed to be the polaroid Oscar took of her back covered in Lando's cum (the picture in his wallet).

Lando looked at his teammate. Neither of them really wanted to reveal their girl. They didn't want their relationship in the spotlight, but they had no choice.

Oscar cleared his throat and lifted the microphone to his lips. "That-" He looked at Lando. "-is our girlfriend."

Truly, it was a weight lifted for both of them. The world knew that they were together, knew about the girl they loved. They didn't need to know much more than that, didn't need to know their story, how they met, how the three of them got together.

They didn't need to know their story.

Now it was out, they couldn't wait to take her to a race. It was going to take a long while for them to get to that stage, to want to have her around the cameras and the interviewers.

But one day. One day it would happen.

Oscar the Matchmaker: Chapter Seven

Oscar Piastri x reader x Max Verstappen

Summary: Oscar needs to let out some steam after his DNF in Spa, and his partners happen to be the perfect stand ins. Lando fails to realize that Oscar is a matchmaker in a really messed up kind of way

Lando is a menace. He knows this. The Spainaird sitting next to him knows this as well. However, Lando is also protective. Carlos had sent out a less than nice tweet about his teammate, and Lando is determined to make the older male apologize for his actions.

Oscar had been so excited after the sprint, and Lando had wanted to see that continue through the race and after. The Australian leaving with a deppressed look on his face had not been the plan.

The Brit had once again stolen a room key. This time, Max's. Oscar had said they were coming straight here after everything was said and done. So they lounge lazily across the bed. Lando had finished lecturing Carlos ten minutes ago. Now the pair have nothing better to do than lounge around and go through the groups things.

Lando opens another drawer, and Carlos just shakes his head in disappointment. "I found the goods!"

"The goods?"

"The secrets, Carlos! The things that are kinky!"

Both Lando and Carlos' head snap toward the door. Max's hotel room is much bigger to the point where the bedroom is separate. This means that at the current moment, they can't see each other, but they can hear through the walls.

The door slams shut, and Oscar's more demanding voice fills the other side of the wall. "Knees. Now."

Lando grabs Carlos by the arm and pulls him off the bed. "Not again."

The two dive into the bathroom and gently close the door just in time for the bedroom door to slam open. Lando can hear the closet door also creak open and close again.

"Pretty sure Lando won't ever come into the room unnoticed again." Laughs the female.

Carlos leans over to him and whispers. "You've don't this before?!"

"Almost died with Charles."

"That explains some things."

The highs and lows of Spa are something that can make even the strongest man dizzy. Or at least that's how she thinks Oscar might feel.

His early DNF had made him irritable all evening. Which is to be expected. Not like anyone likes to DNF.

When she saw the look on his face, she knew that he needed to let out his frustrations.

Which would turn out to be Max. The Aussie had pratically dragged him back here with her in tow carrying their things.

Now Max is on his knees, Oscar is fuming, and she's attempting to find what he asked for.

If they hadn't talked about this before, then she might have even been scared. However, Max had sent in the group chat that he is willing to be a stand-in for whatever Oscar needs. It's a rare thing that this happens. That consent is given over text, and Oscar had double-checked in the car.

The Aussie had laid out his plans and made sure to remind them he isn't mad, and this is for their enjoyment as much as his outlet. It is always important to go into these things with a good mindset.

She lays a few things out and then waits as instructed. Oscar and Max are in seconds, and despite the initial roughness, They both check around the room and shoot her cheeky smiles.

No sign of Lando. "Pretty sure Lando won't come into the room unnoticed again." She laughs.

"I'd rather not risk it given what we're about to do." Oscar closes the closet door and looks at both her and Max. "I'm giving you three seconds to put yourselves on the bed facing each other."

The two flounder for a moment, but still end up there they needed to be. Though it definitely isn't graceful.

Neither of them say anything. Max may be the Carlos stand-in, but she has yet to actually be told what she's doing. Awaiting orders like a robot.

"Strip each other. Don't want anything on you." Oscar stands at the foot of the bed with his arms crossed, face flushed with a mix between arousal and frustration. They fumble again in getting clothes off. A small part of her mind wants to take as long as possible, but with his mood, she deems that it is a bad idea. The last time she decided to be a brat, it ended with three hours of edging, and then Oscar and Max tag teamed her into far too many orgasms that she cried for a while after. It was great, really, but at the time, she wasn't pleased with it.

Instead it feels like their clothes are off in record time. Oscar eyes them with hunger. A smirk plays on his lips as he wets them with his tongue.

A forceful push sends Max backward. His head dangling of the edge. She can hear the buckle of Oscar's jeans come undone. He turns it into a makeshift bond for his wrist. A little tighte then neccecary but the moan it gets from Max tells her he likes it that way.

She dragged from her blissful state of simply watching when a fistful of her hair is grabbed. She's shoved down towards Max's very hard cock. It's a little slower, so she has a chance to actually get her mouth open.

"Don't let him finish." He pointedly commands her. This is going to be a long night.

Speaking of Oscar, he has finished once. Inside of Max, mind you. Part of her thinks it was accidental. He looked shocked when it happened.

She has yet to finish. Her body is desperate, but her mind is telling her that she need not be. She'll probably be crying when they are done for the night.

Max was screaming a minute ago, and now the room is filled with panting. She likes this noise. Like an interlude in a song before it ramps up again.

Oscar runs gentle hands down the curves of Max's body. "You did so good, Maxy. Such a good stand-in. Too bad Carlos isn't a good boy like you."

She's not sure how she got herself into this position. Her body being tied to the headboard.

Scratch that, she does know. Oscar had proposed that he work on his knot tying while Max recovers some of his energy.

Apparently, she is also a Carlos stand-in. She may be tied to the headboard, but she's facing the wall.

When she is no longer tangled in rope, her body collapses into both boys. Exhaustion takes over her as she trembles in their hold. Every inch of her is still swimming in endorphins.

Words are exchanged, and the bed moves again. Max is humming a song to attempt stopping the still unending tears.

Tears she doesn't understand. She's not unhappy or in pain. Her brain feels like nothing and can't see past her boys and the unending waves serotonin. Maybe it's too much for her. Maybe she finally found that limit.

Sh hears the bathroom door creaks open and something like a growl escape from Oscar.

Is this probably not the best look from a professional standpoint? Probably. Do they care in this moment? Absolutely not.

The fact that Lando even has the Spaniard down his throat is amazing. It's even better when Carlos mumbles about how it's the best head he's ever had.

Until the moment is interrupted by the door creaking open and the light flicking on.

Carlos doesn't look at the door, though, cause he's too busy looking at Lando's flushed cheeks. He finishes down his throat the same second and somehow the Brit manages to take all of it.

"What the fuck?!"

Both boys scramble to resituate themselves. The door slams closed and they can hear Oscar muttering to himself.

When it reopens, he is in clothes and armed with murder in his eyes.

"I swear to god Lando that you have a kink or something, but bringing Carlos here as well is just evil."

"Does that mean it's a bad time to apoligize?"

"Get out."

I have some thoughts after the Italian gp about McLaren. Shocking, I know! Anyway, for the past couple of days since the race I have been reading and looking at comments (on Instagram) to see what people thought about the race, and the first thing that was obvious to me from the first post that the F1 page made about the start of the race was that a lot of commenters were upset and that Oscar should NOT have overtaken Lando like that. Shock! Horror!

I personally saw no problem with the overtake that Oscar did, it was absolutely great wheel-to-wheel racing from the both of them and made me scream in the middle of the night cause I was not expecting it!

This was probably the most excited and hyped I’ve been watching an F1 race this year (I fear I have cursed the races that I watch to not get safety cars cause I have yet to see one 👀). ANYWAY, back to my original point about the commenters on Instagram, amidst all of the unnecessary hate and vitriol against Oscar doing that incredible overtake I read one persons comment that really got to me and thought I’d share it on here cause I haven’t seen as much discussion and discourse about the move on here as much :) and wanted to see what you guys thought!

This was off of a post on the F1 Instagram page that shows a video of Zak Brown being interviewed about how Oscar and Lando went during the race.

The first part really got to me cause it makes sense why McLaren are making those seemingly weird and terrible calls when it comes to which driver should be favoured more and get the better strategy. We all remember how much drama surrounded Oscar signing with McLaren back in ‘22! He was the biggest talent that the F1 grid had yet to see since Lewis and the teams all knew this and wanted to get a piece of him. Now I’m not trying to bark up Oscar’s tree here when I say all of this, but it really is the truth, because when you look back at statistics throughout his Junior career you can see how absolutely crazy it was!

This has only continued to grow throughout his short time at the ‘pinnacle of motor racing’! Just this year everyone seemed to collectively agree that his first win was in sight after Lando won in Miami, and that it was only the start of the McLaren boys’ domination with their fast as fuck car.

Ok, this is all to say that for all of the commenters crying about Oscar not being as good of a teammate to Lando, that he was selfish to pull off such a move at the start of the race, that he should have given the second place position to Lando, that he should just stop trying to compete with Lando and help him win instead like a ‘good 2nd driver’…. That’s just not what he was brought into F1 for.

Every single driver that gets into F1 wants to WIN, and their closest competitors and rivals are their teammates who have the same car. Neither Oscar nor Lando want to be 2nd driver, and I believe that they understand that about each other. They want to win at all costs and right now, these two are only going to get more and more competitive with each other because they know that the other can usually keep up and will keep pushing each other to their limits.

So the long and short of it is that immediately after he finds out that Oscar's going to be his teammate, Lando starts watching videos of him, interviews, everything, especially because i'm ROUGHLY following Oscar's career timeline just bumped up to a point that Lando's 10 years older than Oscar.

Anyhow, Lando finds out that Oscar's going to be his teammate, starts watching interview videos, finds himself in fact going INSANE about his innocent new little teammate who he thinks is going to be a lot sweeter and more pliant than he actually is. Proceeds to see Oscar in videos with his girlfriend and starts to get irrationally jealous about it (and in all this, still has not paid attention to a single video about Oscar's racing style).

And then proceeds to go to Ibiza on summer break and have a threesome with a guy who looks like Oscar and a girl who looks like his girlfriend and is like "yes this is normal and good"

The two of you got to his drivers room, you immediately congratulated him on his place, kissing his cheek "Logan you got an amazing place, that was an incredible race for you!" You said smiling, while lightly punching his shoulder, he smiled, chuckling "thank you, thank you" he said and kissed you, the two of you kissed for a while and then cuddled on the excuse of the bed the drivers have in their drivers room, then you heard your brother calling out to you, it has probably been around 10 minutes since you left him, and you two probably need to head back to the hotel now "oh fuck" you whispered to yourself, Logan let out a sigh "I'll see you later babe" he said, kissing your cheek "you should probably wait till he's not around here so he wouldn't suspect anything" he said and you nodded, waiting for Alex to go to a different place before going to the bathroom, making it look like you just finished doing your business.

truly - and this is fully rpf projecting switched off - the Charles/Carlos and Carlos/Lando dynamics are so different and it was so sweet during the Melbourne 2024 celebrations watching Carlos switching between the two aslfhsalfh. bc Carlos literally helped raise Lando from the kid Lando's closest friends and even Zak described as a loner and intensely shy, to someone who could borrow quite a lot from Carlos' persona for himself and even learned a social hobby in golf to integrate him more with other drivers. it's not as 'sweet' per se but even the fact that Lando a while ago was like 'oh I only date Spanish girls' during that golf stream bc Carlos literally helped Lando meet girls (this was before Luisa). straight up he functioned as Lando's F1 and PR social lifeline in a way where Lando was still pretty clingy even up to like late 2022? bc Daniel was another great big alpha personality to do a lot of the heavy lifting like Carlos did but Lando and Daniel are more of a friendship of equals.

but for Carlos, Lando's mostly stayed in that little brother position - even moreso I'd say as Carlos approaches 30 bc his lifestyle now is way more grown-up than Lando's and his approach to his career and racing is vaaaastly different to Lando's. and tbh it's one of many reasons I was glad they didn't stay teammates bc regardless of what fans wanted and PR pushed, that would either not have ended well or it would have had truly excruciating moments (similar to that 'breakup' moment in 2022). I think ultimately they'd always have ended up ok but it's good to not have had to wait and find out how.

I genuinely think it'll only be in retrospect that people learn to appreciate how impressive and cohesive Carlos and Charles' partnership has been bc I only ever see a few people say this. and again, ignoring the whole PR bromance aspect of it, this is in how they have weathered the absolute WORST of everything that could be thrown at a pairing and always come out unified. their fanbases have been at bloody war since day one, the Tifosi have been embroiled in civil war, their own families use multiple platforms to stir up enmity, Ferrari's Borgia-esque culture has directly and indirectly worked to disrupt communication and good will between the two garages. team orders has been Russian roulette every race. the literal racing gods seem to roll the dice when it comes to which of them will be favored and who will be left burning with anger. and even when both suffer equally due to the many forces outside their control, guaranteed everyone but themselves will be trying to somehow pin blame on the other.

a tiny fraction of this amount of drama has been enough to destroy partnerships plenty of times in racing history and even throughout their time as teammates.

AND YET !! every hasty word or outburst is smoothed over within hours or even minutes!

bc the common aortic valve they've mutually decided to share between them has stayed strong, vital and healthy. I cannot wait for their biographies or a docu series bc the amount of obvious communication going on between them fully behind the scenes from absolutely everyone is the only reason they haven't both been locked in a br0cedes degree battle royale. absolutely no one but themselves has wanted them to be harmonious.

and when the most shocking headline probably for a decade happened, they decided the very day after being told (in advance of the public what would turn out to be just a few days) to drive together to Maranello and sign autographs and have photos taken of them in Carlos' car. the rest of us only found out later when the rumors were confirmed that this was a hugely symbolic display of solidarity.

even their intense and fun physicality, when you take the gay chicken aspect of it away, remains in the form of physically finding warmth and steadiness in each other as the only two people who can relate in full detail to the other. they're both your typical super physical European guys with other guys, but even when they're not horsing around there is a comfort and ease in being able to lean close or clap a hand on a shoulder and share closed-eyes embraces.

and that's why Melbourne was a Charles and Carlos affair with little Lando along for it getting his hugs and paternal kisses. when Carlos and Lando looked at each other it was right back to that chummy mischief sparkle in the eye thing they've always had. Lando still inhabits the rosy world of possibility and cresting the height of his career and a vastly different new teammate who is playing a part in that. but when Charles ran over for a private celebration before Carlos had even gotten out of his car - and when they sat together in the cool down room like two bone-weary parents watching TV while Lando buzzed about - and would turn to each other on the podium and lock eyes, it's bc they both get it in exactly the same way. Carlos faces uncertainty but opportunity, Charles faces uncertainty but certain difficulty. all of which was paralleled in Monaco for Charles' win. elation is mixed with grim satisfaction as much as joy.

the relief, the exhaustion, the bitterness of years without the WDC and the long stretches between wins in the back of the throat mixing with the champagne, even their tears of joy this season mixing with the fact that both of them have had tears in their eyes when asked about the end of their partnership - even down to the parallel in each if their wins this year of having a McLaren rugrat scurrying around the edge of drama neither of their pretty young heads has ever experienced even by proximity - both boys already assured by contract and by their performance of steadiness for years to come. the gold of their feelings on podiums hasn't tarnished or worn yet.

as always, the reality of these guys' actual friendships is rarely known until well after retirement. but the fact that Carlos and Charles held something so strong between them that made them reject the much easier option of simply hating each other or just neutrally existing in separate spheres (like so many other partnerships have done) means that mutual respect or mutual agreement or sympathetic personalities - or all three - was their choice, even if it's made their own careers and lives far more complicated and difficult.

I'm still not sure when to use which of these words correctly, but have one scene from YOYOC:

Winning in Monaco was everything Charles had ever dreamed of and more. When he stumbled off the podium and back into the garage to change into a clean race suit for the press conference, everyone was cheering, and he could swear that he could see Joris crying, then he jumped into Charles’ arms.

“You did it, you did it! Charles, you fucking did it!”

They were joined by Lorenzo, Arthur and Pascale into a giant group hug as everyone was celebrating.

Eventually Charles had to leave for the media obligations of a race winner, so he handed his trophy off to Arthur, who looked at the golden outline of their hometrack with wide eyes.

“Don’t break it.” Charles joked, and Max, who had come in behind him, laughed.

“Well since Lando is not here, I think we’re good.”

Charles snorted harder and Arthur grinned too: “I will tell him, you said that you’ve still haven’t let that go.”

“I will never let that one go.”

It really warmed Charles’ heart to see that his brother and his teammate got on that well. It probably had something to do with the fact that Max was essentially Arthur’s boss now and they were working closely to give him the best possible start in the new series. Charles had seen the way the media and the fans had reacted to the news, that both of them would work with Max Verstappen in the future.

As soon as Max had raised his good mood before the race, his team was very quick to bring it back down again.

On the lap to the grid, there was some sort of issue with his drinking pipe that proceeded to almost drown him and in the time before lights out they were not able to fix the issue, apart from turning off the drink entirely.

So he would spend another hot and tiring race without something to drink. Great.

And because Charles could never catch a break in his life, the whole race very quickly got from bad … to worse. He did get the jump on Max into the first corner, able to stay ahead for almost a whole lap, before Max caught up to him, speeded past him and scampered off into the distance. But then the whole race fell apart. And it was once again a strategic error that caused it all.

I agree with you so much about your take on Lando and Martins relationship. It’s like I have so many thoughts a feelings but want to respect their right to privacy.

Want to add just a couple thoughts to your more fictional take. For me, it’s also how everyone around them acts.

Oscar being inclusive in his language talking about the drivers “girlfriends or partners or whatever” (which love you Oscar for that!).

McLaren not posting any videos of Lando and Martin together post Mexico when they do post videos of Landos other famous friends like Zedd. Plus McLaren way cutting back in the behind the scenes videos.

The Thursday drivers interviews have never asked him about hanging out with Martin in the off-time when they ask drivers all the time about stuff they do off track, even asking Fernando about the whole Shakira meme, unless it’s truly private and off limits (only reporter I’ve ever seen ask Lando about Martin was Ziggo and Landos body language was so uncomfortable and self soothing talking about it. Man could not stop stroking his face!)

No official track photographers post pictures of Martin unless he’s there to work and never with Lando or in McLaren, only ever at Redbull (and like the photographer Kym Illman leaving Martin out of his post about Lando being in Australia was odd in that he knows Martin and talks with him and would have known he was in Aus too). Kym (who gives me a bit of an ick, but he says interesting things sometimes) talked once that they have requests from teams not to photograph certain people, and it kinda feels like there’s a request to not photograph Martin and Lando. Even the now famous hug in Vegas. As soon as they went in for the hug the camera like oh crap panned away.

Everyone seems to be so careful to respect what I’m guessing is a request from the team to respect their privacy. And whether that’s because they are in a relationship, well I don’t know. I think if he is, it’s probably a relationship that is out and open and known about in the paddock, but not in public. And if that’s the case, totally their right. If a gay relationship with an F1 driver was made public especially one with another arguably more famous person the scrutiny around it would be so intense, I could totally understand why someone would want that relationship to be out privately but not publicly.

You're so right about all of this, it's very telling how people around them act. Although I do wonder about the Ziggo interview from Zandvoort. Idk, it didn't look like any more fidgeting or touching his face than normal to me, but I see where you're going. What I got out of that clip from that interview was more so what he had to say about his friendship and how much he values it. And when he was finished addressing it, they very pointedly moved on to other things like Max and hypothetically being Max's teammate.

This is also like the second time in as many days that I've heard that Kym asks for permission to post pics. Maybe I forgot where that was said at one point, but that in and of itself says a lot about what he posts in general. But also, did we know Martin was in Australia for sure when Kym posted that random thing about Lando being in Perth that was likely only because of Lando's story?

Who knows. The fact of the matter is that it certainly appears they've set boundaries with people which is both very helpful and makes me very 👀 at the same time.
