ताजमहल को उड़ाने की ईमेल से मिली धमकी के बाद मंगलवार सुबह से ही सुरक्षा एजेंसियां सतर्क हो गईं। केंद्रीय औद्योगिक सुरक्षा बल (सीआईएसएफ), जो ताजमहल की आंतरिक सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी संभालता है, ने स्मारक और उसके आसपास के इलाकों की पूरी तरह जांच की। हालांकि, किसी भी प्रकार की भगदड़ से बचने के लिए स्मारक को खाली कराने का आदेश नहीं दिया गया। 1984 के बाद फिर गूंजा धमकी का साया प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, यह पहली बार नहीं है जब ताजमहल को उड़ाने की धमकी दी गई है। पहली बार ऐसी धमकी 1984 में खालिस्तानी आतंकवाद के चरम पर मिली थी, जिसके कारण स्मारक को रात के समय बंद करने का फैसला लिया गया था। हालांकि, अब केवल महीने में पांच दिन पूर्णिमा के दौरान रात में ताजमहल का दीदार संभव है। सुरक्षा जांच के बाद पर्यटकों ने खुद छोड़ा परिसर जैसे ही पुलिस, सीआईएसएफ और बम निरोधक दस्ते ने ताजमहल पर पहुंचकर जांच शुरू की, पर्यटक खुद ही धीरे-धीरे परिसर छोड़ने लगे। लेकिन कोई भगदड़ जैसी स्थिति नहीं ह��ई। सुरक्षा जांच में स्निफर डॉग्स का भी उपयोग किया गया, जिससे बम की धमकी को गलत साबित किया गया। ईमेल की जांच जारी आगरा के डीसीपी सूरज कुमार राय ने बताया कि धमकी भरे ईमेल का आईपी एड्रेस ट्रेस किया जा रहा है और भेजने वाले की पहचान की जा रही है। ताजमहल की सुरक्षा को बढ़ा दिया गया है। एसीपी ताज सुरक्षा सैयद अरीब अहमद ने बताया कि सुरक्षा एजेंसियां अलर्ट पर हैं और इस ईमेल को गंभीरता से लिया जा रहा है।
