Dc x dp idea 133
Danny is really confused. Like sure he made a fake account in order ā€œuseā€ his parents completely valid and not in biased research on ghosts.
Cause obviously. Their completely legit research disproves multiple peer reviewed and factual papers.
Tucker made the fake account. No real names or numbers. So. They couldnā€™t know it was him right?!??
He just wanted people to see how wack the papers were and bring to light the very not accurate papers. He figured using botched research to counter claim others would do something.
But??? Why was the flash in his living room arguing with his parents about scientific articles. And proper research??

Kit Klarenberg reporting on a new far-reaching investigation on the CIA's twisted MK Ultra program and its experiments on people of color in the United States.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Answers and accountability is something we'll never get under the Capitalist system, because the Capitalist Class cannot allow any precedent set that allows for holding members of the Capitalist Class accountable for any kind of actions they take, regardless of the harm caused. And in this case, an unprecedented amount of harm was done to Left movements within the communities of people of color in the US as the CIA attempted to use mind control methods to suppress communities of color from organizing radical political organizations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How sick do you have to be to use political prisoners to experiment with mind control methods? Our Wall Street sponsored Government has NO ethical or moral boundaries they aren't willing to violate to retain their power and control.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our Capitalist Elites biggest fear is organized resistance to Capitalist control and Revolutionary Socialist movements. By labeling followers of anti-Capitalist organizations and ideologies as mentally ill, our government used this as a Medical excuse to experiment on, harm and suppress Anti-Capitalist groups and communities of color, ravaging those movements and their ability to affect policy as they had begun to do in the 1960's.

"The darkness of MKULTRA lingers still, calling for urgent answers and transparency. Americaā€™s Black community deserves nothing less than the full extent of these operations exposed; culprits held accountable, and rightful compensation for survivors. As the shadows of the past stretch into the present, the demand for truth rings louder than ever, and justice becomes an undeniable imperative."
Couldn't have said it better myself. Major thanks to Anthropologist Orisanmi Burton for publishing this incredibly dark report, and Truthout and MPN for reporting on it.

I think the worst thing about the gadreel situation is that dean doesn't even try to understand why sam is upset. which then leads to him never feeling guilty for the reasons he should be. like he feels guilty for trusting gadreel, but he doesn't feel guilty for lying to sam for months. he feels guilty that kevin died and that gadreel got out of his control, but he doesn't feel guilty for letting an angel have basically unlimited control over sam's body.

kaede and kiibo are both the kind of people to forget they've been holding someone's hand for a long time, it happens between them and other people (maki voice kaede you can let go now) but especially with each other. i feel like they would start off being embarrassed about it but realizing they both do it makes them go oh hm maybe it's not as annoying as i felt like it is. it's cute when my partner does it...
shuichi thinks it's really sweet too, he likes when one of them will take his hand and not let go, it's nice..... since he's shuichi and he's still trying to get better at saying what he wants, he had to clarify that he likes it, a few times, but that's okay peace and love

i would like to see either nikolai or sigma's sentences please :3 /nf
THANK YOU!!! YOU ARE FUELING MY TWO FAVORITE THINGS!!!
under the cut bc length. [it got REALLY long]
anyways, nikolai and sigmas prison sentences as they would be in michigan.
note: iā€™m not using the wiki for this. i doubt it covers everything, so im going back through the manga and analyzing everything from there. aside from finding out manga appearances, everything else is research and pre-memorized info.
note 2: i may have made a few mistakes with the sentencing but it should be accurate enough give or take 10 years.
note 3: thereā€™s no minimum sentence since majority of research iā€™m doing leads to me picking the minimum years since it usually states ā€œpunishable by life imprisonment or any number of yearsā€ which is unspecific and sucks so i just dropped the category

I was reading sea glass gardens for like the 8th time in a row (listen I was praying to the gods for a fic focuses on Megumi & Yuuta, for a fic that shows Megs dynamic with the Zenins more, and for a fun little gojo adopts the fushiguro siblings and forced his friends to play aunt and uncle. You checked all my boxes. I am in debt to you now.) and its the way I'm still seeing the little details that should've been so fucking obvious to me ā€”
Megumi and Tsumiki fucking around and adopting some of Gojoā€™s habits and sayings? I know he was so proud that his children is becoming mini versions of him. Toji is crying in the depths of hell while Mamaguro is happy as hell in the pearly gates.
ā€œItā€™s a gardenā€ it took so long for me to peep that this was his domain. Like tfw when your domain is fucking you up. I pray that Gege shows us his completed domain. Actually I PRAY GEGE LET MEGUMI SHOW OFF HIS FUCKING POTENTIAL. But alas Gege is a coward.
THE NICOTINE PATCH? Oh Shoko my beloved. I get her. I fucking hate cancer sticks but if I had to spend time with corpses, being forced to converse with the higher ups, and having to be friends with Gojo and Geto AND witness their divorce. Well. I wouldā€™ve smoked something too. Like goddamn these bitches shouldā€™ve been at the club.
The little callbacks to the playbooks? How petty the sorcerer world gotta be for them to have cheat sheets on their enemies. Is that not crazy? Is this who they are? Petty bastards.
toji pulling up to get married in sweats. megumi killing curses at such a young age for his sister? toji giving megumi shit to get him to stfu? oh megumi you dodged a bullet with toji.
BUT WHAT I REALLT WANTED TO WAS THE BATHHOUSE. Megumi needs to go feral as a threat cause imagine how humiliating that mustā€™ve been. A bunch of assholes & such watching you like some fucking cult. I really hope that Megumi and Gojo have some type of reassuring talk about his time at the Zenins.
(Yaga and Gojo going at it while Panda in the room is so funny to be butā€¦itā€™s also kind of sad. Like imagine seeing your dad figure basically be okay, well not okay but not willing to fight back, about the higher ups and everything.)
Obsessed with the fact that I can toss up what seems to me to be a random niche interest and find a community of people who wanted exactly that. Iā€™m thrilled I checked off your boxes.
The bathhouse was designed to be humiliating by nature. I talked about it more on another post (but fuck if I know where it is), but the point of including that whole bit was that I really couldnt think of any better way to emphasize that megumi wasnā€™t a person to them.
On its face, the private bathhouse with servants tending to it could be a sign of status. Itā€™s kind of an old world nobility thing to have? Which fits with the Zenin, who are very traditional and value Megumi as their most treasured person to be born to the clan in centuries. He would be presumptive heir if Gojo hadnā€™t intervened. So theyā€™d easily be able to cast this in their own minds as a good thing, as a way theyā€™re taking care of him. Heā€™s not subjected to the communal bathhouses or small private bathrooms like the majority of the clanā€”theyā€™ve given him his own private facilities and servants to care for him in it.
However, once you take away Megumiā€™s consent, it becomes an absolutely humiliating and degrading experience that only happens for the Zeninā€™s comfort and not his own.
I spoke about this in the other post in more detail, but I tried to imply that this wasnā€™t the first time the Zenin had done this to him. And thereā€™s two points that kind of implicate thatā€”when Makiā€™s talking to Yuuta about how it used to be when Megumi was a kid, she says the first thing that they would do when he arrived in the clan was hand him over to the servants to make him presentable. She also talks about how viciously he hated the way theyā€™d make him look in the clan, including stomping the clothes theyā€™d make him wear in the mud. When Megumi himself is talking about the bathhouse, he says he was given over to the servants like when he was a kid. This wasnā€™t a new experience for him. They werenā€™t doing this to him for the first time. They did this to him when he was a kid, and heā€™s reliving all of that trauma anew.
In my mind, it was a product of how selfish the Zeninā€™s love for megumi is.
Heā€™s their favorite doll. Heā€™s a possession. They want him to look and act exactly the way they expect from him, and they despise any divergence from what they want the ten shadows to be. And they hate it when theyā€™re reminded of how Gojo took him from them.
They donā€™t want him dressed in modern clothes. They donā€™t want his hair styled in a manner similar to Gojoā€™s. They want him to look like the Ten Shadows they always wanted, and one surefire way of controlling that is to simply do it themselves, whether or not megumi is on board.
And the thing is? It is such a fundamentally minor thing to let someone bathe and dress themselves. It would have cost the Zenin so so little to let Megumi do it. Even if they were still dictating what clothes he wore and how he styled his hair (which would still rob him of his autonomy on its own, they could have at least let him do the actual act of bathing and dressing himself. They could have violated him a little bit less than they already were. The biggest inconvenience it would have risked to them would be him doing something not to their exact standards and losing a few minutes to making him redo it. But on Megumiā€™s end, it symbolizes a huge source of autonomy and comfort. Letting Megumi bathe himself really does impact so little for them, but for Megumi, it could have saved him from lasting trauma.
The Zenin do it to him anyway because they value their minor conveniences over his very bodily autonomy. They donā€™t even recognize that as a genuine concern. Heā€™s a possession to them. An object. They donā€™t actually love him, and the love they think they have is actively dangerous to him. They will violate him in a very fundamental way just so they can make sure he looks how the ten shadows is supposed to look, and they wonā€™t care.
Being forcibly bathed against your will is just humiliating, especially at Megumiā€™s age, and itā€™s one of the things that hurt him the worst out of everything the Zenin just did to him. I think Megumi takes physical pain better than he does humiliation. Having to be exposed and vulnerable the way he was with other people watching was a more effective torture than locking him in a room with curses for days.
But thereā€™s extra layers to it if you consider 1) this is something the Zenin have done to him before and 2) this is something that he could have stopped.
When Megumi was six, he was definitely at the age where he was already bathing himself. Some parenting books say parents should still be helping at that age, but his parents were completely checked out well before then. He had already been handling all his hygiene needs on his own. Having strange adults force him to let them do it for him was a traumatizing and infantilizing experience that represented one of the many ways the Zenin robbed him of all control over his own life when they had him.
But now itā€™s happening again.
And megumi probably didnā€™t think the Zenin would do that to him again, walking into this. He probably explained it away as them doing that to him because he was still a little kid at the time. He told himself it happened because he was six, and heā€™s not six anymore.
Having it all happen again was a very visceral reminder of how helpless his abusers used to make him, and immediately kicked him back down to that level with a very potent reminder. Itā€™s trauma reawakening trauma. He felt like he was six again. He probably told himself for a long time that it would never happen again and it still did.
The other thing is that heā€™s a lot more capable in a fight than a six year old. Heā€™s a grade two jujutsu sorcerer. Heā€™s a fighter. And heā€™s being manhandled by servants who donā€™t have a lot of cursed energy, if theyā€™re even sorcerers at all, and arenā€™t meant to be combatants. These are people he should be able to defend himself against easily. He should be able to stop them from doing this to him again.
For whatever reason, he couldnā€™t.
Maybe Gojos theory about them having something on him was right. Or maybe he was too worn down and broken from the cursed spirits. Maybe it was something else. Whatever the reason, this is something that he would have told himself he was strong enough to stop, and then he wasnā€™t. He either had to let it happen or couldnā€™t stop it even if he tried. Itā€™s a new level of helplessness and humiliation that it made him experience.
In short, megumi does deserve to go feral over the bathhouse, and probably needs to. Heā€™s really not okay over it. It would probably be cathartic.
#sea glass gardens#this fic was designed to make sure megumi came out of it with a really bad state of mind and part of the reason why is because itā€™s meant to#slot into the gap of canon between JJK0 and season 1#Megumi walks into season 1 with his fixation on maharoaga at an absolutely dire level#he tries to pull the trigger there every other fight#and in my mind a lot of thatā€™s because Megumiā€™s just /not okay/ when canon starts#this episode with the Zenin is supposed to feed into that#prior to the Zenin mahoraga was a last resort#but when we hit season 1 Megumiā€™s very decidely hitting ā€˜last resortā€™ a bit. prematurely.#heā€™ll start a fight and be like ā€˜whelp this is itā€™ bb try at least#this zenin incident is meant to feed into it#he had his moment of last resort. the moment where even Gojo and Nanami agreed that what the Zenin were demanding he do was a death sentence#and he /didnā€™t use it/ for some reason. they kept him from it.#mahoraga was his safety blanket over the years. the one sure point of control over his life. heā€™d die as a jujutsu sorcerer and not have#a choice in becoming one to begin with. but heā€™d die taking them down with him. heā€™d die on his terms. it was the /one/ point of control he#had. the Zenin robbed him of that and robbed him of a lot of other illusions of control#megumi didnā€™t have control over when he slept. when he ate. where he went. what clothes he wore. they even stripped him of the basic act of#getting control over his own bathing processes. it was the most violating loss of autonomy imaginable.#Megumiā€™s going into season 1 with severe ptsd and an almost manic desire to make sure he doesnā€™t lose control again. he wants to make sure#that he can at least go out on his terms. he lost every other feeling of security and autonomy and he needs to still have this#also panda was fucking sweating during that time#his dad was Not the most popular man in that room and he agreed#megumi thinks that the Zenin did that purposefully to hurt him and it would honestly hurt him worse to find out that it was a twisted act of#love. like. he gets hate. he understands hate. he knows why someone would do that to hurt him. he doesnā€™t know why they would do it out of#love. and it would disturb him on a profound level if he knew that was what the Zenin thought of that moment#they told themselves that they were putting him to rights and restoring him to the ten shadows he would one day be again and would#understand then. they canā€™t conceptualize a version of megumi that legitimately rejects them so they reject his autonomy and freedom in#getting to decide to reject them

GOP Presidential Hopeful Ramaswamy Sued Over Striveā€™s Practices | Bloomberg
In separate lawsuits, two former employees at the candidateā€™s Strive Asset Management claim that the anti-ESG investment firm pressured them to violate securities laws.
Vivek Ramaswamy has been rising in presidential polls partly on the strength of his business accomplishments. Before he started running for the Republican nomination, where polling averages now put him in third place behind Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, Ramaswamy founded and ran a drug development company, Roivant, which he took public in 2021. Then he started an asset management firm, Strive, presenting it as a conservative answer to the ESG movementā€™s focus on investmentsā€™ environmental, social and governance impacts. Striveā€™s motto, meant as a contrast to ESG, is ā€œinvest in excellence.ā€
But two former employees have filed lawsuits in recent months against the investment firm as well as Ramaswamy and his co-founder Anson Frericks that suggest practices at the company were something less than that. They accuse Ramaswamy and Frericks of aggressively pushing employees to violate securities law and of mistreating staff. They also suggest that the company has struggled to meet lofty growth goals for its ā€œanti-ESGā€ investments.
Christopher Lenzo, a lawyer for plaintiff Joyce Rosely, said the two suits raised questions about Ramaswamyā€™s seriousness as an asset manager. Strive ā€œwas founded, in retrospect, largely as a PR mechanism for the presidential campaign of Ramaswamy,ā€ he said. ā€œNot a lot of thought was given to running it as an investment firm.ā€
Neither lawsuit has been previously reported. Ramaswamyā€™s track record will be in focus during next weekā€™s presidential debate, when DeSantis allies have signaled that he plans to concentrate attacks on Ramaswamy. ā€œStrive intends to vigorously defend itself,ā€ the company said in a statement. ā€œBeyond that, it is our policy not to comment on active litigation.ā€ Tricia McLaughlin, Ramaswamyā€™s communications director, didnā€™t comment on the lawsuit. She noted that Ramaswamy, who served as Striveā€™s executive chairman until earlier this year, left Strive when he decided to run for president. ā€œStrive is completely separate from Vivek and his campaign,ā€ she said.
The first suit, filed in Kansas by a regional sales chief who was dismissed as part of a reorganization in March, also says Ramaswamy misrepresented the companyā€™s finances to employees and investors, exaggerating its growth when pitching venture capitalists and recruiting staff. The former employee, John Phillips, claims he was induced to leave a job at JPMorgan that would have paid him more than $1 million in 2022, based on promises made by Ramaswamy and others that Strive was well financed and that Ramaswamy was dedicated to the company.
In reality, according to the suit, Strive was ā€œundercapitalized,ā€ and Ramaswamy was planning a presidential bid. The suit was filed in June, three months after Phillips claims he was fired by Strive without cause. Strive has filed a motion to dismiss the case.
In the second suit, filed Aug. 8 in a Union County, New Jersey, court, Rosely claims she was fired as co-head of institutional sales in retaliation for raising concerns about sexual harassment at the firm and violations of securities laws. She contends she saw a Strive executive make aggressive sexual advances toward a more junior staffer.
When Rosely, a veteran of State Street and Goldman Sachs, complained to Frericks, Striveā€™s president, he told Rosely it was ā€œnone of his business,ā€ according to her complaint. At the time, Frericks, a former beer distribution executive who went to high school with Ramaswamy, held the companyā€™s most senior position.
Like Phillips, Rosely claims that Ramaswamy and Frericks pressured her to violate securities laws. She says she was asked to use sales materials that improperly promised future returns and urged to allow employees who were not yet registered to sell securities to pitch clients. Rosely also claims she complained about Ramaswamyā€™s social media posts, which she believed constituted unlawful securities sales.
Both Phillips and Roseley were fired in March, alongside another executive who Rosely says was also complaining about the securities law violations. She claims that Strive told her the firing was part of a reorganization but also that everyone who was dismissed as part of the reorganization was over 40 years old. Her suit alleges that she was the victim of age discrimination, as well as retaliation for raising concerns about harassment and securities law violations.
In April, a month after the dismissals, Matt Cole, Striveā€™s chief investment officer, was named chief executive officer. In a June memo, Cole acknowledged the departures of ā€œunderperforming members of the distribution team.ā€ He also signaled that Strive, which manages exchange traded funds (or ETFs) with about $1 billion in total assets as of Aug. 17, according to data compiled by Bloomberg, would tone down its political rhetoric and focus on promoting ā€œshareholder capitalismā€ instead of criticizing ESG. The memo, first reported by Semafor, said that growth in the firmā€™s funds had slowed in 2023 in part because investors had seen the firm as ā€œpolitical over investment oriented.ā€ The memo said growth had resumed and would accelerate in a ā€œā€˜hockey stickā€™ fashionā€ starting in 2025.
