2) Who's your OCs best friend? How did they become best friends?:

Jean's best friend is Stan! She is well aware she will never be his best friend because that spot is for Kyle. (You can have more than one best friend dummy.)

But that's her boy! She will do absolutely everything in her power to make sure Stan succeeds in life! Jean has such faith in that boy!

As for how they became friends, Sharon ended up babysitting Jean a lot when she was little. After Jean's parents passed (spoilers), she was taken in by her God mother. Unfortunately, she's never home so she ends up paying Sharon to watch Jean. So she kind of ended up being raised by the woman. Sharon is the closest thing to a parental figure Jean has until she's sixteen.

Because of that, she was practically raised with Stan and he hated it! Hated having to bring her around, hated it because it was forced! Eventually, the two end up growing close, both finding love in sports and music. They play guitar together a lot and Stan is honestly the only person Jean feels like she can be vulnerable with.

Where she doesn't need to be happy, fun Jean. She can be sad and broken because he gets it.

5) Do you ship your OC with a Canon character? If so, who?

Not fucking Stan that's for sure! I've had a few of you guys ask me if they're supposed to get together. No. Absolutely not.

It's Kyle. I ship Jean with Kyle because he's got everything she admires in a person. He is strong-willed, has the drive to do the right thing, and gets things done. He is not afraid to express how he feels, and she was really close with him once.

But she'll never act on those feelings. Mostly because she doesn't think she's good enough for him and that she'll just end up dragging him down. He'll make something of himself, be successful. Jean doesn't believe she'll ever leave South Park, and she doesn't wanna hold him back. So, no matter how bad it hurts, she'll just smile and be happy with being his friend.

Also I guess she has a thing for gingers?

Yeah, of course, it's okay! I love talking about Sky. Sorry, it took so long. The first question took me forever to answer.

1. What's their biggest fear?

Anytime I think I might have an answer for this, I immediately think about how Sky would probably be able to overcome it.

Part of it has to do with how their grandparents raised them, so while Skylar might be scared of a lot of things in general, they're usually able to cope with the anxiety.

They know that there are things you can't change, or that pain and loss are unavoidable, death is inevitable, and having to face these are scary. It's scary and it hurts. So you let it all out. For as long as it takes. And maybe that means causing a blizzard in your bathroom for the next three days because a crow absolutely destroyed one of your strawberry crops right before harvest and you're upset. But it's out. And then you deal with the snow piling up on your floor.

8. What's the one object they would run into the fire for?

11. Who was their biggest influence growing up?

Ông nội, their grandfather. Skylar loves both their grandparents, but Ông nội is the fun one. He was a Knight of Pythagoras but retired long before the current guilds were formed and often describes his adventures fondly and gloriously. He was the one who encouraged Skylar to join the guild in Pelican Town and take up the life of an Adventurer.

15. What's their relationship with their family like?

Skylar is very close to Ông nội and Nonna, their grandmother since they were the ones who raised them. They've met their great uncle, Hibiki, Ông nội's brother, and his husband, but only when they were really little so Sky doesn't remember much other than the fact that they exist.

Outside of that, Skylar doesn't know any of their other family.

Oh ... this one makes me ACHE. It's one of my alternate universe songs: in this case, a universe where Heulwen died during the Battle for Denerim and Daren is left behind to mourn her. This song is set a few years after that, when he's had some time and distance and his grief has settled into a thing he can hold instead of a gaping hole. He's able to look back fondly on his memories of her, but because he didn't start truly grieving for his parents until after she died, those two things are tangled up in his heart and he's made peace with the fact that he's never going to recover from either loss.

This all serves as backstory for his Inquisitor-verse, where his PTSD is just stacked to the ceiling. I imagine the end of the song where the singer says:

"So I'll tell them stories, so I don't forget you"

is him at last opening up to Cassandra about Heulwen. And when she asks if he loved her, his response is simple. "Of course. She was my best friend."
