The thing about college AUs is that they often focus on students and fail to realize that at many higher education institutions the employees are this close to breaking out into open warfare. A W359 college AU where they are students would not work. A W359 college AU where they all work at a community college and still want to kill each other the same amount would be entirely believable.

#the Hephaestus has powerful community college energies #run down underfunded held together with spit and prayers #people assume everyone there is secondrate and couldn't do any better for themselves #then they get acquired by a for profit and when the shiny Urania Institute people come swanking in #they're like hands off our garbage #the only reason the fma college au was low on faculty drama was bc i thought of most of it while in grad school #now I am on faculty and god. I thought grad student drama was bad #I mean tbf grad students are often teetering on the cliff's edge a bit more but still #one time they upcycled our computers (not replaced them. we got slightly newer used ones)#and they had to go back and install internet explorer bc a loadbearing part of our accounting system requires it #i work at the Hephaestus station of colleges #Hilbert is still doing horrific experimentation but in a lab that's not even as high quality as the local high school's #wolf 359

I have a teacher who keeps sending me emails at 11 or later at night and it makes me SO angry. The only reason why I can still sleep at night, is because I always tell myself that "no one is expecting me to be active at this time, you deserve to rest" and now this bitch is expecting me to be active? Can I not have peace?

#this is from my degree #but at my internship school #my boss asked me if I would please log on to my school mail on my phone #so I can always reply quickly #first of all I think you are legally not allowed to ask that #unless you also give me a work phone maybe #and secondre of all #I genuinely think that when I got my degree and am no longer an intern #I would say no to that if someone were to ask me #I will check my mail regularly during working hours #I will always reply timely #But I will not be getting constant notifactions so I can never fully shut down from work #I get as an intern you just say yes to most things lol #But when it is my full time job its gonna be a big fat no #Also when I got my degree I will no longer be working at this school lol #Sucks because the team is so much fun #but they are making you do TONS of unpaid work #I currently got a contract for 9 hours #and I am schedule for 12 and won't get paid the additional 3 #because you get paid overtime that you spend on lessonplanning #and apparently it is legal to also count tutoring hours in that category #but what it comes down to is that I am not planning lessons in those three hours #so I will go an extra 3 hours into unpaid overtime #that system is a mess dudes

cried in the shower and meds are kicking in now so im all okay again or close enough <3

waking up and remembering I have to live the rest of my life today and tomorrow and so on ☹️

#its okay having a secondrate life bc its mine. and theres no rush i can take things at a slower pace than everyone else #and if i have more intense ups and downs well thats just part of being me. fulfillment isnt gonna come in the same way it does for others #just brushed a little too close to triggers yesterday and I think it didnt help being out so late bc my meds wear off #so i was crashing while also trying to handle a sensitive cluster of emotional nerves which. yeah was a really bad idea #but nothing new im still just recovering from my fucking rsd episodes in may it undid a year n a half of emotional work in a week #idk how long itll take before i feel like i have a solid foothold again.. it wasnt like i was perfectly secure before then anyway #so frustrating but just gotta live around it for now while it continues to heal. and not stick my grubby fingers in the open wound #also took my meds like 2 hours later than normal today bc i forgor and i dont think my body appreciated that 🫣#man if this temporary private healthcare situation ends up not being temporary and i have to quit taking meds entirely. uh #well the withdrawal is not going to be fun. im gonna have to ask friends to keep a very close watch on me if that happens #at least i have a pretty decent supply atm so hopefully ill know in enough time to be able to gradually wean myself off #like i can take half doses n stuff for a while. and hopefully thatll stop me killing myself lmao #but yeah. still a bit sad but its not a new ache so lets not worry abt it. much milder and more tolerable like this anyway #im gonna go out n vote before i forget to. and then play some elden ring when im back maybe #and then when my friends up we can go for brunch somewhere :-) and then i have the whooole afternoon 2 chill #and then climbing yippeeee and then work tomorrow booooo but at least just a day til the weekend #okay! lets go #.diaries
