My original press pic of Jerry Cantrell & Dudley Taft (Sweet Water), in 1993. Sweet Water opened for AiC to a sold out show in Davenport, IA. Taft (later with Second Coming) joined the Riff Lord on stage for Rooster. I was recently reintroduced to Sweet Water, another truly underrated Seattle band. You need to take another listen, just like me. I found some old @therocket90s - actually 1988/89 Central Tavern gig schedules - however, if you look at them closely, all 3 show Alice N’ Chains, not “in” Chains. I’ve added the real gig poster from the 4/1/89 show - the design is of the old N’Chains design with the rose & chain. I have 2 older posters from an’ Chains era - maybe that’s where the confusion is. But I did double check with my good friend James Bergstrom @jamesber777 (original N’ Chains drummer) who also confirmed that they never played at the Central; only JC, MS, LS & SK did! Still somewhat interesting to see these misprints! A torn sheet with a handwritten setlist for Mad Seasons Dec 31, 1994 show at RKCNDY in Seattle, by Alice In Chains/Mad Season lead singer Layne Staley, including "Wake Up Young Man," "Lifeless/River," "Above/Anything," and others. The list is titled "10 songs? (plus Lennon's?) as an afterthought?" It also says to Check with Mike, who was likely Pearl Jam/Mad Season guitarist, Mike Mccready.
