Safe Delivery of Answer Scripts Ensured by CBSE
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday instructed examination centers to ensure safe delivery of answer books to its headquarters after an official of a private school in the national capital was found carrying answer sheets of Class XII chemistry exam in Delhi Metro.
The board clarified that secrecy of the answer books will be maintained and it wonât be taking any risk or compromises on maintaining the sanctity of the paper. âThe board has issued detailed guidelines to center superintendents, which includes safe delivery of answer books. They have been asked to personally ensure that such instances are not repeated,â a senior official of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said.
It has also been verified that the secrecy of the answer books has not been compromised with and sanctity of the examination has been mainstreamedâ, the official added. A lawyer, Tarun Narang, had written to the CBSE examination controller after he spotted a private school employee with the packed answer sheets in the metro. âI was commuting from Dwarka Court Metro Station to Janakpuri around 3 pm. I noticed a man carrying a sealed parcel containing answer sheets of class XII Chemistry paperâ, he said in the complaint letter. âWhen I asked him, he said he had been sent by the examination superintendent to drop the sheets to the CBSE headquarters in Preet Vihar,â Narang has said.

CBSE warns its users regarding the fake and look-alike sites
CBSE warns its users regarding the fake and look-alike sites
Cyber crimes are on increase everywhere. In a recent survey, India was named as the third country from the top in the number of phishing attacks. People are even hacking the government website and using their content to misdirect the users. The recent victim of the attacks was the Central Board of Secondary education. But, the CBSE has issued an alert for the students, parents and stakeholders against the commercial website which are using the boardâs logo to mislead the people. According to the circular, âvarious commercial websites have created look-alike pages with the logo of CBSE on social networking sites for registration of candidates.â In the circular, the board has mentioned that the only address to visit the official website of the CBSE is www.cbse.nic.in. For authentic and genuine information everyone should visit the above-mentioned URL only in order to  prevent themselves from getting cheated. The circular also stated that the board never ask students to give their personal information such as e-mail, Facebook, Twitter handle, phone number or any other source of contact. About CBSE The headquarter of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is in Preet Vihar, New Delhi. CBSE was founded on November 3, 1962 and its prime responsibilities include organizing exams, of class 10 and 12 and prepare academic programs for the schools and students.

Sonâs marksheet helps in arrest of fraudster
June 23rd, 2008 - 11:32 pm ICT by IANS
New Delhi, June 23 (IANS) A man accused of cheating several traders in the capital to the tune of millions of rupees was arrested from Meerut after the police found a clue to his whereabouts from his sonâs Class 12 marksheet. Ruia, who had allegedly cheated several traders in Chandni Chowk and Lohari Gate area in the walled Delhi, was arrested Sunday.
Ruia, 40, worked as a middleman to arrange loans for various parties from prospective lenders for the last six-seven years in Chandni Chowk. He operated from his office in the same area and lived in Ghaziabad.
The police were looking for him after Nitin Gupta, a trader, complained that Ruia had cheated him of Rs.700,000 and had fled with his family.
âRuia issued post-dated cheques to Gupta as a guarantee for the borrowed money. But when the cheques bounced, Ruia escaped with his family,â Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Delhi) Devesh Srivastva said Monday.
âWhen we came to know that Ruiaâs son Viresh Kant was studying in 12th class, we approached the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) office at Preet Vihar in Delhi and found that his son had passed the board examination from D.P.M. Public School Behsuma in Meerut,â Srivastva added.
The police said the accused was arrested from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh when he went to collect his sonâs marksheet from the school.

New Post has been published on http://www.visionmp.com/school-authorities-have-been-asked-to-respond-within-15-days/
CBSE issues notice to Ryan Intl, says death could have been averted
New Delhi: The CBSE on Saturday issued a show-cause notice to Ryan International School, Gurgaon, asking why its affiliation should not be withdrawn and said it had failed to observe âbasic security measuresâ.
A two-member fact finding committee set up by CBSE following the murder of seven-year-old Pradhuman Kumar last week said it appeared from the sequence of events that Ryanâs International was guilty of gross negligence.
The death could have been avoided had the school been more cautious, the show-cause notice said.
âThe unfortunate death could have been averted had the school authorities discharged their duty with responsibility, care and security. The school failed to observe the basic security measures as stipulated by the board.
âFrom the entire sequence of events it appears that the school is guilty of gross negligence and failed to ensure safety and security of students in its schools,â the notice said.
The school authorities have been asked to respond within 15 days on why its provisional affiliation should not be withdrawn for wilful violation of provisions of CBSE by-laws.
The probe panel said the school had no provision of toilets for drivers, conductors and cleaners and they were using the facilities meant for students and staff.
The CBSE notice also pointed out a safety breach in the school boundary wall (covered with barbed wires) which, the committee observed, is a threat to childrenâs safety as anybody can enter the campus.
The panel noted the insufficient number of CCTV cameras and said most of the installed cameras did not work.
âSchool failed to discharge its responsibility to file FIR and inform District Education Officer and CBSE after knowing the incident,â the board said, adding that the FIR was subsequently filed by a parent.
The two members of the panel were Y Arun Kumar, deputy commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and Kailash Chand, principal, Govt Co-ed Senior Secondary School, Preet Vihar.
The Haryana government on Friday ordered a CBI probe into the murder and announced that it would take over the administration of the school for three months.
