#Repost @caitlinvnails with @make_repost ・・・ Ok! I did another fluid nail design, my second ever…..and yeah. I’m feeling’ it! If you read my last tutorial post, you saw that on my first attempt at fluid nail art, I tried to speed up the process by not letting the puddles fully dry, and using a stamper to move them while they were still partly wet. It worked well enough, but this time I wasn’t in a hurry, so I did it the “correct” way. I made a bunch of puddles before I took off my previous nail art and left them to dry while I went and did that. Once my nails were clean and shaped, I painted them with a white base, and then a sticky base coat. It was one hour and twenty minutes of dry time (which I know exactly thanks to my video time stamps). Then, using tweezers, I carefully peeled up one puddle, laid it on a stamper, and applied it to my nail. They were dry, but still very delicate and stretchy(?). I used my decal cutter to get off as much excess as possible, and then cleaned up the edges. I actually don’t think it took me more time to do it this way, and it was easier. Transferring was easier. Cleanup was easier. It was just better. So lesson learned. Just found my @cherinailproducts x @nailjob inks and was totally inspired by @xtaleigh to paint a marble set. I feel like I have little rocks on my nails! It’s been forever since I’ve done a marble look- especially with regular polishes. I used: @miniluxe base coat and Southern Belle @opi @opi_professionals Funny Bunny @cherinailproducts x @nailjob art inks @daily_charme gold foils @sally_hansen two coats of Miracle Gel top coat (my favorite top coat- so glossy and voluminous! Though, I have yet to try @sechenails Seche Vive which I’ve heard such great things about!) AND! A reminder that the people involved in Breonna Taylor’s death have yet to be charged or arrested. Nearly four months ago, a division of the Louisville Police Department performed an illegal, unannounced drug raid on her home. Not a single officer announced themselves before ramming down her door and firing 22 shots, shooting Breonna 8 times, killing her. Not only were the police at the WRONG HOUSE, but the man they were looking for had already been arrested earlier that day. My heart breaks for her family and loved ones and I hope justice is served.
