We want to make this weekend one that celebrates our boys but also each other, so we want to make this a HUGE GIGANTIC LOVE FEST! We want to celebrate the past 10 years as well as the future of Seblaine.

So here we are at the end for the time being, and once again, since this graphic relates closely to the next chapter of Nine... I can’t say too much!

In a nutshell though, our beautiful boys are now engaged - spot the rings! But because a niggly little thing (please note this is massive sarcasm!) called the Pandemic decreed that we weren't able to be together if we didn't live with our other half, thanks to Blaine’s gruelling touring commitments, Bas and Blaine spent much of 2020 apart, and were forced to connect in the same way many of us did- via Skype and Zoom, and as you can see, Cooper kept an eye on them, too.

I'm so sorry I can't reveal more, but I just don't want to spoil my new chapter before it's even been posted.

I truly hope you've enjoyed A Decade Of Seblaine and that some of you at least will join me in Sebastian and Blaine’s journey to becoming Seblaine spanning many years, in Nine...

I've had an absolute ball and as always want to give a massive thank you to the wonderful @seblaineaffairs for working tirelessly despite their busy lives to give us yet another amazing event. We may be a tiny part of the Glee Fandom, but Seblainers are always fierce - and kind and completely supportive of each other.. Something that's sadly in pretty short supply nowadays in the Glee Fandom, in general.

It’s only to be expected the morning after a drunken makeout with the guy your boyfriend hates a mere two weeks after a dramatic break up with said boyfriend. So when after several nervous false starts Blaine finally gets out, “About last night-” Sebastian is ready.

Hey, Seblainers! Hellooooo, everyone else!

Happy 10th Anniversary! Can you believe it's been a decade since our beautiful boys first met? I sure can't. I'm an OG Seblainer who watched with interest back when Glee first ever aired, as the gorgeous and outrageously flirtatious snark-monster that was Sebastian Smythe, stepped (slithered?) into our lives and the insane chemistry between him and the equally gorgeous Blaine Anderson exploded onto our screens.

Sadly, we never got our Canon Seblaine Endgame, and given how much the Glee writers loved to mess things up, in retrospect that was probably a blessing in disguise, as they would have no doubt just trashed them beyond all repair in favour of well.. that other far more famous couple who did get their Endgame...

But hey! That's why we have incredible writers and Artists and Gifset makers and all types of creators - right? So we can bring our vision of how it could have and should have gone down, to life...

To this end, I'm celebrating the 10th Anniversary by illustrating a decade of Seblaine in Graphic form. If you follow my ongoing multi-chapter fic Nine... then you will realise that these Graphics follow the story there, too. So let's kick off where it all began back on 8th November 2011 when the boys literally caught each other's eyes across a room. And the rest as they say, is history!

In this series Sebastian’s calendars have 8th November ringed in green, and Blaine’s are in red.

Seblainiversary 2021 - 2018

A Decade Of Seblaine

Blaine and Sebastian haven't seen each other since that one Autumn day in Manhattan back in 2017, and Sebastian, for various reasons, (one of which is definitely Blaine), decides to do his Master of Law at the prestigious Sorbonne-Assas Law School at home in Paris, choosing to specialise in LGBTQ+ Rights...

In New York, while Blaine has pretty much become an overnight sensation and the latest 'It-boy' of the Music world - ironically all thanks to Sebastian’s Dad Alexandre, he is feeling increasingly marginalised in his marriage, and is deeply unhappy with the status quo.

Back in Paris, one day when he is running late and waiting for his order in his favourite coffee house P'tit Calin, Sebastian is suddenly shaken to the core by a rush of memories that flood his mind unbidden, as the tinny speakers in the shop start to crank out the unmistakable notes of Billy Joel's iconic Uptown Girl. In the space of a nanosecond Sebastian is transported back in time to Dalton Academy - to when he was 17 and met Blaine for the very first time; more precisely, when Blaine effortlessly pulled Sebastian - the brand-new transfer student from Paris into their song and dance, and Sebastian couldn’t take his eyes off the beautiful boy in front of him.

Meanwhile in New York, Blaine is shopping for Kurt’s vegan chicken (??!) in Kurt's favourite specialist grocery store Vegan Do It, when he almost drops the package in his hands as the oh-so familiar strains of The Wanted's Glad You Came fill the store, and Blaine is all of a sudden 16 years old again and watching his former best friend Sebastian belting out that song that he knew was being sung justforhim, while he awkwardly sat in the alien seats that McKinley were assigned, with his new Glee Club the New Directions...

Both of our boys are having a moment, and little do they know it's just the first of many more to come...

Next up - 2019 and things go (for a while) to Hell in a handbasket for them both...

It's especially poignant for me to post this particular Graphic and discuss their first meeting, given that today - 8th November 2021 is the official 10 year Anniversary of that monumental day. Happy 10 Year Seblainiversary, everyone! 💜💜🥰

Seblainiversary 2021 - 2019

A Decade Of Seblaine

So now we're in 2019 and..actually I can't say too much because that year is the focal point of the upcoming chapter of Nine... and I don’t want to give away any Spoilers!

All I'll say is that Sebastian is now back in New York (unbeknownst to Blaine), and the above scene happens when both of our boys find themselves in a Brooklyn Karaoke bar on the same night. Blaine is shell-shocked to see Sebastian but unsure if he will even talk to him, and for his part, Bas is in full bitch mode. After their friends decide to intervene, a pretty damn epic vocal battle between them takes place, with Sebastian even snarkily deliberately opting to sing the acoustic version of Teenage Dream while Blaine glares daggers at him - because Blaine didn't give Bas the nickname of Bratbastian back when they were in High School for no reason, after all.

Stuff happens, but that’s all you're getting for now....😉

Next up: Wonderful times for our beautiful boys in 2020! Well...until the pandemic hits, that is...

Seblainiversary 2021 - 2015

A Decade Of Seblaine

As a reminder for anyone who hasn't read Nine... so far, in this 'Verse Sebastian is 6 months older than Blaine.

So our beautiful boys have at last left High School behind them, and newly-engaged Blaine is at Tisch (because..it makes so much more sense! My 'Verse - my rules, after all), while Kurt and Rachel are at NYADA, and Sebastian and Thad are doing their Undergrad at Columbia Law School.

Blaine and Sebastian are now back in touch following an intervention instigated by Thad, and...their texts are not exactly family-friendly, but both are focused on working hard and getting the best grades they can achieve, so while they are both in New York, text and call frequently and never leave each other's thoughts for too long, they sadly don't actually get a chance to meet up in 2015.

Next up...a second year in New York for both!

Here we are in 2012 a time when our boys had a very difficult time given the horrid incident known as Slushie-Gate and the attempted suicide of Dave Karofsky. Not Sebastian’s finest hour I'm sure we can all agree, and as you can see in 2012, sadly Blaine has even scored out the date they met on his calendar, because he was so mad. BUTTTT! in Nine... Bas goes to see Blaine after the incident (because Canon was freaking stupid and come on - of course he would have!) and while things aren't great for them, they do improve, and Blaine’s very happy that Sebastian had the guts to face him..

Isn't editing Canon so much fun? 😊

2013 now and the Warblers are under the reign of the insane Kim Possible villian that was Hunter Clarington. Sadly for us, the absolutely perfect Seblaine Duet Dark Side that never was (seriously what were they smoking to miss that golden opportunity?), didn't tempt Blaine back to Dalton (no, not even in Nine...), so poor Bas didn't get to share any of his time at Dalton with his Killer (B). But at least they're in a better place again...for now..

Just married, Blaine should be in absolute bliss. (Even if he got married at somebody else's wedding. In a barn.) But with Dalton's destruction, reality comes crashing in, and with it all the doubts and questions he maybe should have asked himself before saying "I do". A memorial is supposed to bring him closure. But once again, it's Sebastian who surprises him.
