The doctor said my back hole looks ok, is a known potential outcome of cyst removal, and will heal in time. Also she said I can shower normally and I can't even begin to describe what a relief that is.
My cyst excision still hasn't closed and I'm being so brave about it 🥲

Understanding Sebaceous Cysts: Sebaceous cysts are small, benign lumps filled with keratin and sebum, typically found on the face, neck, or torso. While they are usually painless, they can become infected or grow in size, causing discomfort and aesthetic concerns.
When is Sebaceous Cyst Surgery Recommended?
Infection: When a cyst becomes red, swollen, and painful due to infection.
Discomfort: If the cyst causes discomfort or interferes with daily activities.
Cosmetic Concerns: Removal for aesthetic reasons or to prevent further growth.
Recurrent Cysts: Cysts that repeatedly become inflamed or infected.
Benefits of Sebaceous Cyst Surgery:
Complete Removal: Ensures the cyst and its contents are entirely removed to prevent recurrence.
Infection Prevention: Reduces the risk of infection and associated complications.
Cosmetic Improvement: Enhances appearance by removing unsightly lumps.
Quick Recovery: Minimally invasive techniques promote faster healing and minimal scarring.
Procedure Overview:
Pre-operative Evaluation: Thorough examination and diagnosis to confirm the nature of the cyst.
Anesthesia: Local anesthesia is typically used to numb the area, ensuring patient comfort during the procedure.
Surgical Techniques: TX Hospitals employ advanced techniques to excise the cyst completely, including the cyst wall, to prevent recurrence.
Post-operative Care: Instructions on wound care, activity restrictions, and signs of infection to watch for.
Recovery and Aftercare:
Outpatient Procedure: Sebaceous cyst surgery is usually performed on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to return home the same day.
Pain Management: Over-the-counter pain relievers are typically sufficient to manage post-operative discomfort.
Wound Care: Detailed instructions on keeping the surgical site clean and dry to promote healing.
Follow-up Visits: Scheduled follow-up visits to monitor healing and ensure the cyst has not recurred.
Choosing TX Hospitals for Sebaceous Cyst Surgery: TX Hospitals in Hyderabad provide expert care for sebaceous cyst surgery, combining skilled dermatologists and surgeons, advanced surgical techniques, and comprehensive patient support. Sorry (not sorry) for reblogging a million of your posts but i was scrolling through your blog trying to figure out WHO STABBED YOU?!???
(also i hope you’re okayy 🥺)
It's all good, I love to see you in my notes! 🥰
I had some weird skin things (that have bothered me for years and been dismissed multiple times by doctors) removed with plastic surgery the other day, and the healing is going well. ☺️ It had to be plastic surgery because they have the skill for minimal scarring, which a regular dermatologist doesn't want to risk.
Medical particulars:
I had 2 lipoma (basically small lumps of fat that developed between my skin and muscle a few years ago) in my forearm that didn't have anything "wrong" about them, but I felt like they were creating pressure that affected the numbness I experience in that arm. I also had a sebaceous cyst (iirc) removed from my upper arm (other arm) because it kept getting bigger and changed color (used to be bright red as a kid but it had faded to purple with a waxy, bloodless center), and had become indented around the edges and occasionally seeped plasma and itched. They also weren't worried about that one, but it IS being tested.
They also shaved a mole off my forehead that I've hated my whole life -- it's been getting bigger recently, and therefore itchy, but also was not a major medical concern.

Okay who's holding the randomizer button and can you please stop pressing it??? You're really fucking with Leah and her life here!!!!
We got home around 3am. It’s been a wild 24hrs. But it’s come with a positive outcome!
So long story short it was believed Bailey had a hernia above his bellybutton due to obsessive coughing from a recent flu. He’s been on painkillers and we were booked in for an ultrasound next Wednesday to see if it would need to be surgically removed. (Don’t even get me started as to why they wouldn’t get him in sooner—it was a none urgent case so that’s apparently why.)
Anywho—we thought we would go and see Oppenheimer last night around 8:45pm (BANGING MOVIE 10000/10) and he was fine he wasn’t in any pain for the whole three hours and then when the movie was finished I asked how he was feeling and he said fine and that he had no pain.
But when we got in the car……he noticed something was leaking through his jumper and he had like puss 🤢 coming out his bellybutton and the lump was gone!
Straight up to the emergency room we went and they admitted him and did an ultrasound and confirmed it was a large sebaceous cyst that had popped.
Now he’s home, cooking up another plan to get out of this wedding in TEN DAYS. But no surgery needed, no hernia as once thought. Just a cyst and some smelly puss.
