Capturing Hearts and Canine Charisma- Lauren Bonvini's Photographic Marvel in Seattle
In the bustling heart of Seattle, where creativity knows no bounds and innovation reigns supreme, there's an artist who has harnessed the power of the lens to unveil the extraordinary in the ordinary—meet the remarkable Lauren Bonvini. A master of pet photography, Lauren's journey began with an unbreakable bond, a furry companion, and an insatiable desire to freeze life's fleeting moments in time. With each click of her camera, she weaves a narrative that transcends pixels and captures the very essence of companionship, sparking a range of emotions that reverberate far beyond the frame.
Lauren Bonvini Seatle
Lauren's story is one of devotion to both her craft and her four-legged companions. It all began in 2015, a year that marked the inception of her fervent affair with cameras. Her first dog entered her life, igniting a fire within her to encapsulate every shared adventure, from homey embraces to the rugged trails of nature. This pivotal juncture set the stage for her artistic odyssey, a fusion of her love for her dog and her newfound fascination with the world of photography.
Stepping into 2020, Lauren ventured beyond the confines of her personal sphere, extending her lens to encapsulate the emotions and narratives of her friends. Portraits and event shoots became her canvas, where she artfully painted the tales of those who crossed her path. But it was her journey into dog sports practices in 2021 that unveiled her prowess for capturing action and energy in its purest form. Through her lens, the vitality of these moments unfolded, creating images that resonated with life itself.
Yet, it was the dawn of 2022 that witnessed a significant milestone in Lauren's photographic expedition. Inspired by her friends' shared love for herding and photography across the nation, she birthed "PenPals." This venture symbolized her commitment to making photography a seamless and enjoyable encounter for all involved. At sports events, she transformed into a silent observer, capturing the dynamic duo of humans and their canine companions in their victorious glory. Her ability to seize not only the competition's fervour but also the quieter, reflective moments during breaks showcased her multifaceted artistry.
Lauren's impact on the vibrant Seattle photography scene cannot be overstated. Her pet photography has taken the city by storm, captivating hearts and creating a ripple effect of awe. Her lens has the uncanny ability to bridge the gap between the human experience and the canine charisma that infuses every frame she captures. The result? A gallery of images that embody the spirit, the love, and the camaraderie shared between people and their pets.
While Lauren's passion for pet photography is undeniable, her portfolio isn't confined to this singular focus. In a testament to her artistic versatility, she has ventured into various realms, each time leaving her indelible mark.
Professional headshots and portraits are where she masterfully encapsulates the essence of her subjects, allowing their personalities to shine through her lens. Engagement and maternity shoots become narratives of love and anticipation, woven into the fabric of each photograph.
Even the realm of small wedding events is not untouched by Lauren's enchanting touch. Her ability to weave the emotions of these intimate celebrations into her images creates a treasure trove of memories that will be cherished for generations to come. Beyond the world of canine sports, her lens captures the vibrant energy of other sports, mirroring the same candid and natural approach that she holds dear.
What sets Lauren apart is her dedication to capturing candid and natural moments within the great outdoors, regardless of the elements. She thrives on the unpredictability of outdoor settings, where the interplay of light, weather, and emotions gives rise to frames that exude authenticity.
As we delve into the rich tapestry of photography history, it's evident that Lauren Bonvini's journey is a testament to the transformative power of a single frame. From the pioneering daguerreotypes to the digital age, the essence of photography remains constant—it's a medium that captures the intangible, freezes emotions, and creates a legacy that transcends time.
In the ever-evolving landscape of photography, where every click yields a new story waiting to be told, Lauren stands as a beacon of inspiration. Her lens doesn't merely capture images; it weaves narratives, captures emotions, and ignites memories. Through her remarkable work, she exemplifies the notion that the true essence of art lies in the genuine connections we foster, the experiences we cherish, and the stories we share.
Seattle's vibrant spirit finds its reflection in Lauren's photography—a fusion of passion, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to capturing the extraordinary in every corner of life. With her lens, she transcends mere imagery, painting stories that will continue to resonate in the hearts of Seattle's residents for years to come. Lauren Bonvini has truly etched her name in the city's narrative, a masterful photographer whose artistry is an ode to the profound bond between humans, their canine companions, and the power of a single photograph.

Devils Rangers Series
The Devils/Rangers series was the tale of 2 teams. The Rangers made a deep run last year and added veterans Terasanko and Kane to an already stacked team so that they could win the Stanley Cup this season. With Boston, Tampa Bay, and Colorado out and Carolina's best player injured, it would have been the Rangers Cup to lose.
The Devils were rebounding from a terrible year but it was never supposed to happen so fast. They exceeded everyone's expectations this year. In this series, they were playing with house money. They had very little playoff experience and it showed in the first 2 games. All the pressure was on NY because they were built to win and had experience playing in the postseason.
This series was unpredictable and proved that there is no such thing as game to game momentum. By game 3, the Devils understood that there's only 1 way to beat a team with such offensive firepower: old school Devils defensive hockey and playing the perfect road game at home as well as at the Garden. The numbers bear this out. In the games the Devils played old school Devils hockey, the Rangers scored 1, 1, 0, and 0. In the games where NJ did not play strong defensively, the Rangers scored 5, 5, and 5. The only constant for either team in this series was solid goaltending from NY. Igor outshined every other goaltender who made the postseason.
This is such a significant win for NJ given the accolades of NY. 2 (Kane, Panarin) 3 time Stanley Cup Champions, 1 (Terasanko) Stanley Cup champion, the reigning Vezina Trophy winner (Igor), the reigning Rocket Richard Trophy winner (Kreider), and the 2021 Norris Trophy winner (Fox). The Rangers had more talent than any other team in the league this year, except Boston. So this victory will provide these young players with confidence, which is a key to success.
An interesting statistic in this series is that 5 out of the 7 games were blowouts (2 4-0 Devils wins, 2 5-1 Ranger wins, 1 5-2 Ranger win). Only 2 games were close (1 OT game). You would think 2 evenly matched teams would have mostly 1 goal games in a 7 game series.
The Devils are going to struggle mightily against a suffocating Carolina team who don't allow anything in their defensive zone. They play old school Devils hockey and won the Division playing the best defense first hockey in the league. With Boston, Tampa Bay, New York, and Colorado out, it's Carolina's Cup to lose. But the Devils are used to being the underdog. Toronto, Seatle, and Florida proved that anything can happen in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

I hate to see this kind of response from Allie Long. She posted the black square with black hearts as the caption - no action connected to it as far as I can tell, so a totally symbolic image. This girl comments a very polite request that she look into it further and ... this response of “thank you but politely no”?? It’s like GIRL we all hate to wrong - but she’s asking you to look deeper. To see what more you can do. This square is not enough and now I’m out here wondering, does she not care about racism and the continuation of violent anti-black police systems in our country for centuries? I don’t want to wonder that! But this response seems to show her not WANTING to look deeper. We should want to do more - every correction or suggestion is an opportunity to do more.
