🏵️: Hmm… my coworker has been telling me I have a really good sense of smell. I smell things in the office that no one else can 😂 I can also tell what sort of foods and seasonings people are having for lunch.

I also took some animal courses that I will never use now so I guess my skills I learnt there will be useless unless I ever come across an animal in an emergency 😭

🦢: I’ve had customers tell me that I’ve saved their saved day, even though all I did was click a button? 🤔 Sometimes I also get compliments on my voice, apparently it’s nice and clear.

I am overall very uncomfortable and don’t really enjoy receiving compliments so I get all awkward 😂

In chapter 5 when scar climbs through Grian's window he says that Jimmy can't tell anyone because grian doesn't want anyone to know

ooh i love this question! :D !! soo to me, i kindaaa think that Grian wants to keep their lil relationship a secret purely out of fear of what would happen if someone did find them out. especially since Scar's technically a member of the Overworld's Royal Council and Grian's the literal heir to the throne, so that's already lots of conflict of interest, haha. but on a deeper level, and this is me being a SAP, Grian doesn't want to lose the one thing that no one else has control over for him. He is a good prince who does everything he's told to do. so when Scar rolls along and they have a little thing, suddenly he's able to do something without someone watching him or telling him to do it—and at this current, present point in canon, he will do anything to hold onto that and the love that happened to come alongside it, even if it means keeping it a secret. It sounds kinda.. insensitive, i suppose? But I feel like a prince put into this life position would be a little selfish, y'know? Even though he does care so much about Scar. and that's just me being a scarian fan as much as a rancher fan putting that bit of info in. i'm also a HUGE star-crossed lovers person, so.. yeah. of course, though, this can always be up for interpretation! if someone else has a more solid idea, or one more tragic or something, i think they have every right to stick to that theory! BUT as you can tell, i kinda.. already had an answer in mind, so. do with that what you will. i do love to hear other theories, though. Hopefully it was an okay answer, lmao! Back to rambling in ya'll's ask answers again. my bad.

Everything between Jayce and Viktor can really be traced back to their childhood inciting incidents and it’s killing me.

Jayce: a miracle saves him and his mom, forever imprinting him with the certainty that miracles do exist, they can be controlled, he can save his loved ones no matter how awful things get, if he can just be smart and bold and quick enough.

Viktor: he saw the horror of what Singed had done—of forcing a creature to live against its will, of the degradation and terror of being fundamentally changed. For a while he thought he understood Singed, when he decided that he was willing to throw away all his principles to survive his own body. But he didn’t, really. He didn’t understand. There was still a line he would not cross. He wanted to die human.

It’s fitting, then, and unspeakably tragic, that Jayce is the one who played Singed’s role in the end. Because you can’t ask Jayce to let a loved one go, when he knows there’s a miracle that can save him, the solution is right there, it will work if you will just let him try—and so he forces a change onto Viktor against his will. He traps him into the Arcane, takes apart and reassembles his body, strips him of his selfhood and humanity. All so that Viktor will live. Singed wasn’t talking about the desperation not to die—he was talking about the desperation not to lose someone you love.

And so Viktor is…changed. He lives, whether he wants to or not.

And so Jayce loses him anyway.

In case you were wondering I'm still thinking about the composition of this shot. The absolute split down the middle between light and dark colors. The way that despite that both sides have their own lights and their own shadows because one cannot exist without the other. The fact Aziraphale's side is a warmer sort of light that compliments Crowley's colors and Crowley's is a blueish sort of dark where the windows even look like tartan. The fact Crowley's side isn't the green dark of Hell and Aziraphale's isn't the sterile white of Heaven but are both shades shifted slightly to the left into something distinct and totally their own. It's balance - even in the middle of heartbreak - and it drives me absolutely wild.
