-Ambrosius is called Ambrosia (just the feminine version of the name 😔) and she's literally just Ambrosius but with boobs and no lil' beard. And also very in love with her wifey Ballister 😭 gave it my all too.

-Nimona's still Nimona and she becomes Ballister's sidekick and they overthrow the government and stuff

-Balli using lipstick means she gets to leave kissy stains when she kisses, she sometimes ditches her 24 hours, waterproof lipstick just for this.

I don't even know where to start about First Note of Love! I knew I would love it because it's a Taiwanese BL and I love ALL Taiwanese BLs, but I LOVED the first two episodes, so let me list the reasons:

First, I don't know why I acted like I wouldn't like the music in First Note of Love when I still listen to the music from About Youth.

Because just like how Magnet's first performance felt like it would be a gimmick after they busted out this move, the music (unsurprisingly) has some heart.

It's clear from the BTS that the show put a lot of thought into the music and the actors were trained by female musicians, plus the music for the show was created by a female artist.

Which I also like the female characters in the show! Ting Fei did not need the guys to cause a ruckus (and get her fired) and Xiao Mei is not here for Neil's bullshit. They have dimensions.

When Reese asked if they knew each other, I'm not sure who said they did and who said they didn't, but I love that Neil looked slightly bothered by that yet Sea still admires Neil despite Neil being a jerk to him. I also love that Neil calls Sea "kiddo" so Sea starts calling him a "has-been." It's mutual hatred mixed with respect.

And I like that Sea eyed Neil's necklace because Neil will be handing it over to Sea as a a declaration of love before this ends, and I will be unwell about it.

Because the way this 19-year-old looks at his idol like he hung the moon and the stars yet is immediately hurt when Neil dismisses him is only the beginning of the love Sea is willing to give Neil if Neil will just take him seriously.

I love that it's clear Reese cares about his friend and also took Matt's death hard, but that his patience is running low with Neil's resistance to everything.

Also, Liu Min Ting's beauty might just get me to watch Guardian.

Now I'm even more excited to see him kiss a man!

I love that Sea also has a friend who is a hopeless romantic and overly optimistic so he can push Sea to accept the opportunities (and love) coming his way. When he told Neil he was attractive despite what Sea said, I loved that he was just as embarrassed as Reese was that their friends are being so damn rude to each other.

I love the combining of these scenes.

I hate this wig though. Take it off and light it on fire!

And I want to hate this, but it makes me love this show more.

Because I love everything about this show!

This is insane. This is actually insane. If anyone had told me this could be a thing in September I would have called them a tinhat.

Tracked down both Leila Khaled's autobiography and her biography by Sarah Irving on LibGen as well. All of them have been uploaded to my gdrive. Btw there's a site called "Accountability Archive" (@archivegenocide on twitter) promoting itself in the wake of all this; it's pretty sus and seems to be one of those SJ "activist" groups that exploit Global South trauma and exclude their voices. Do background checks on all your allies, folks, and look at whether they're boosting impacted communities or talking over them.

Xiao Mei being Sea's biggest fan and the one who brought Sea's music to Reese to work with Neil is my absolute favorite moment in this entire series hands down.

This drama has often been choppy and not quite focused on the character beats I would have preferred, but it is a group of characters I care about and still want to see how their story goes.

Their love for each other and their love and grief over their loss of Matt continues to be the glue that holds it all together, even when the pieces don't quite fit.
