pirate!suguru is a man who easily commands attention.
his name echos on the lips on children, stuffed dangerously close to the edge of searocks, in plein water — risking so just to take a peek of the legendary ship he owns.
the women of the village, even though tired and with fingers all shriveled from washing linen on the shore, try their best of luck. walking amongst the folks on the streets, holding their wicker baskets and their heads low to not meet strangers eyes. their whispering close to themselves with a hand in front of their mouths.
suguru walks, as if the bath of the onlookers on the main square is nothing more than droplets amidst the salty air kissing his skin in the early morning. as if tales about his birthright place amongst the many sons and daughters of the olympus have not been widely spread throughout the small village. and it’s frustrating. infuriating.
you envy the sea. to have birthed such a dutiful son, to be the one who’s solely holding his heart.
because suguru looks like a god — something divine that could only come from the finest of paintings, but he always has been so. from the days he used to sport an haircut perhaps too uneven, gotten from the only pair of scissors that could be found in the third drawer of the kitchen. from the bun he would tie his hair in, on days he would run between the freshly washed linen and big, colorful skirts of many dancers on the main square amidst the village’s main festivities.
you watch him from afar, wondering if the people who now blushed at his mere presence remember the kid he used to be. the one with a tooth missing and some bruises on his knees because of clumsiness.
(the one who always held your hand— guiding you through a labyrinth of salt and sheets hung to dry. scattered kisses from the sea drying somewhere between your small toes and ankles.)
you wonder if he still cling to the memories of sunsets and handmade seashells necklaces— all of what remains of a youth that resurface every time when his name is mentioned, or when the moon hangs lonely in the deep sky.
but he doesn't. in your heart, you can feel this answer growing louder like the sole of his footwear on sand. jewelry tingling, dancing under the warm rays of the sun altogether with the one too many knives hidden in his bizzarre and dirty clothes.
(he chose the sea. he chose the sea, leaving you behind.)
suguru walks, never once turning back to mourn the life he had bargained for his freedom. he belongs to the sea. and it's painfully visible in his stance, in the white crystals among his hair, in his longing eyes.
the grip around the seashell on your necklace tighten. suguru left you behind— and yet, you can't help but fall for the ghost of this stranger once again.
a/n : don't ask me what is this...... i literally have no idea..... i just had a vision and ran with it TT

[ad_1] Somy Ali, who was previously in a relationship with Salman Khan, had recently written a post dedicated to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, inviting him for a Zoom call. The actor, however, deleted the post later. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Somy speaks about initiating peace with Lawrence, her newly launched film production company and safety of women in theentertainment industry and more. Somy Ali on initiating peace talks with Lawrence Bishnoi When asked about her recent post on inviting Lawrence Bishnoi for a Zoom call, Somy states, “The death threats to Salman were truly concerning, and when I addressed Lawrence Bishnoi, my intention was to encourage peace and dialogue, not fuel animosity. Today’s film industry is a completely different landscape compared to the 90s, but safety was always an underlying concern, particularly for women. I never faced direct threats, but there were moments that left me uneasy.” She adds, “One such moment occurred in March ’93, when both Sridevi and I were staying in the SeaRock Hotel in Mumbai, and we were quickly moved out. A week later, the hotel was targeted, which sent a shockwave through me. Moments like these remind us of the fragility of our safety in the industry.” Somy Ali on playing inspiring and empowering characters The actor had recently announced about acting in films produced under Somy Ali Productions apart from launching newcomers. When asked whether she has any boundaries or apprehensions about the kind of characters or scripts she would portray on-screen, Somy points out, “I’m genuinely excited about Somy Ali Productions, and the ability to use film as a vehicle to tell stories that matter. Beyond giving newcomers a platform, I am drawn to roles highlighting strong, complex characters—especially women, transgender individuals, and LGBTQ+ stories. I’ve also become deeply interested in telling the stories of men who’ve been wrongfully accused. My work with No More Tears has deeply shaped the narratives I want to explore—ones that show survival, resilience, and justice.” Somy Ali on receiving support from India for her NGO Somy’s social media posts have gained much attention, especially from India in the last two years. When questioned if that contributed to bringing more light to her work, she says, “Yes, social media has been transformative in raising awareness for No More Tears. The support I’ve received from India has been overwhelming, allowing us to reach a broader global audience. This increased visibility has helped us connect with more survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking who need our support while also raising much-needed funds to continue our work. I’m incredibly grateful for this platform, as it has enabled us to spread awareness and create a compassionate community dedicated to making real change.” Somy Ali on unity among women in film industry The actor has often backed Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, and Zeenat Aman in her social media posts. When quizzed about the supposed lack of support for women in Bollywood by their female colleagues, Somy states, “There’s a slow but positive shift in how women support one another in Bollywood, but it’s still not where it should be. The competitive environment and societal pressures on women to uphold specific images often make it difficult for genuine solidarity to thrive. I supported Kangana, Deepika, and Zeenat because they each demonstrated strength in standing up for what they believed in, even when it wasn’t easy. More unity among women in the industry is crucial if we want lasting change—not just for ourselves but for future generations of actresses and women behind the camera.” Somy Ali opens up on Raj Kiran missing case Somy has posted about Hindi film actor Raj Karan going missing on social media and raised concerns about him in several interviews. When asked if she got any support or help from her Bollywood colleagues or friends, she says, “Raj Kiran was an incredible actor; his unexplained disappearance has always weighed heavily on me.
I’ve brought up this issue many times because his story deserves closure, not just for his family but for his fans, too. Sadly, I haven’t received much support from Bollywood in my efforts, which has been quite disheartening. But I will continue my pursuit because I believe he deserves justice. I often reflect on how my final Bollywood film, Agnichakra, had him as a co-star playing a police inspector—it’s something I hold close, even though that film is not the one I recommend.” Somy Ali on thesafety of women in theentertainment industry Somy works closely with survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. When asked if she feels the condition of women in the media and entertainment industry in the US has improved after the #MeToo movement and Harvey Weinstein case, she states, “The Harvey Weinstein case was a watershed moment for the industry, and while it did spark change, we still have a lot of work ahead. The #MeToo movement has empowered many women, but exploitation and discrimination remain prevalent. The entertainment industry is responsible for ensuring women’s safety and dignity in both the US and India.” [ad_2] Source link

RIP SoD part 1/5; My Dragons (RIP my Flying Reptiles)
my character Alfhild and her dragon; a Titan Shockjaw named LightBreaker (lived 2/25/2023 - 6/30/2023)
So, as you can guess by the title of this post, HTTYD School of Dragons is shutting down, which FUCKING sucks because I sunk a lot of hours (as well as (probably) $15 - $20 worth of gems) into this game. But sadly, there's nothing I or anyone else can do about this, so I may as well immortalize this game by posting what progress I had in this game over the past few months or so.
To start with, I'll share pictures of the dragons I own(ed) before the game shut down. Many of them were recent additions, so they didn't/never saw much action. Let us remember the following of the fallen:
Sharp; a Deadly Nadder and the first Dragon I earned when I started playing the game again (lived 2/25/2023 - 6/30/2023)
SilverStreak; an Adult Armorwing I earned via a quest (lived 5/24/2023 - 6/30/2023)
WhiteHeart; a Hobgobbler I earned via another Quest (lived 5/29/2023 - 6/30/2023)
RuffTuff; a Hideous Zippleback I got via a free Gacha chest (lived 6/01/2023 - 6/30/2023)
Roseburn; One of 2 Monstrous Nightmares I got via a Free Gacha Chest (lived 6/01/2023 - 6/30/2023)
Petalburst; the 2nd Monstrous Nightmare I got via a Free Gacha Chest (yeah, I got lucky there) (lived 6/07/2023 - 6/30/2023)
Searock; the 1st of two Gronkles I got via a Free Gacha Chest (insane luck, Amirite?) (lived 6/04/2023 - 6/30/2023)
Joel; the 2nd of my Free Gacha Chest Gronkles. (lived 6/08/2023 - 6/30/2023)
LittleWarrior; A Thunderdrum I got via (you guessed it) a Free Gacha Chest. (lived 6/06/2023 - 6/30/2023)
Steve; My Chad-like Whispering Death that I got via Quest Reward. (lived 6/07/2023 - 6/30/2023)
AlfGulf; an Elder Sentential I got via Quest Reward. (lived 6/08/2023 - 6/30/2023)
Ironfist; a Sword Stealer I got because of the game Closing down (lived 6/09/2023 - 6/30/2023)
Sole and Nyx; Two Light Furies I got as a result of the Game shutting down (they're going all out for the goodbye to the game). (lived 6/09/2023 - 6/30/2023)
As for the Shockjaw (my favorite HTTYD dragon), he has already been mentioned up above, as he deserves to be remembered first for his months of faithful service to my rider Alfhild.
As a bonus for the game ending, they gave everyone a Toothless, a Light Fury, Dart, Pouncer and Ruffrunner. (sorry the last two shots look kinda weird.)
Well, that's all the dragons I own for now. I don't think I'll own anymore, as there wouldn't be much point, what with the game ending and all. I'll post some pictures of my Hideout, my Farms and of my Character in the next few parts.
[UPDATE] I ended up getting more eggs and trying to hatch them, but the poor babies are also gone, so RIP to the unnamed dragons in this post.
(Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5)
