Final Destination (2000)

Existential horror. Everyone is supposed to die, but yadda yadda yadda, I have reviewed from this franchise before.

Sometimes I couldn’t tell wether it was just fate and karmic intervention at the heart of these deaths or whether Alex was actually just a dude with bad luck. Like damned if he didn’t try to save his teacher, but ends up making it worse. But, I still wouldn’t be calling Alex a freak after he just saved everyones’ lives. That’s kind of messed up.

I wish they didn’t use John Denver as a death omen though, he deserves better than that.

Watch this film if:

You love tense, “it’s right behind you!”-type scenes

You can get past Stiffler being in this movie (slightly distracting, but only because Sean William Scott has a face for comedy)

Unnerving morticians

31 Nights of Halloween Horror: days 7 and 8

Whoops, didn't even make a post yesterday, but it's okay because my choices for Saturday and Sunday go together, so I'm just going to combine them into this singular post lol. My choices for this weekend were Becky and it's sequel, Wrath of Becky

I rated Becky 7/10, and Wrath of Becky 8/10. Wow these were some fun movies! I can't believe it took me this long to watch Becky, since the sequel only came out this year. These were so so good. Great acting from Lulu Wilson, great acting from the various bad guys (Kevin James, Sean William Scott, etc.), great gore effects. Just all around great movies. They set the ending of the second one up perfectlyyyyy for a third movie, which I desperately need, but also y'all need to stop hurting this girl and let her live her life alone and happy lmao. I'm afraid the third movie will pull a John Wick and kill her dog Diego. That reminds me, if you're against animal violence these might not be for you, because a dog gets shot to death in the first one, and a dog gets hit with a bat in this one. Just letting you guys know in case that's too much for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend these movies. Tons of fun! (except if you're a parental figure in Becky's life, then not so much fun for you lol.)
