Seamas always felt a little (a lot) out of place with the pack. He wasn’t into the violence of it and was extremely vocal about it as a child. This, of course, led to some issues. Especially when he began trying to organize his age mates to speak up with him by the time he was eight.

He always knew there were things his mom wasn’t honest about, he wasn’t stupid. The man that she said was his dad didn’t smell like family. He smelled like pack, sure, but not family. Not the way his mom did. When he was closer to seventeen, she told him the truth. Told him about his dad and his dad’s uncle, both of whom had left the pack. Given what he knew of Sadb, that did not surprise him. But it also mean his mother doing her hardest to keep him away from Sadb made more sense.

It was his idea to go find Conri and only partially because he wanted to meet his dad. It was the perfect excuse to get the hell out of that pack and not look back and he was damn sure taking it.

He met Valerian before he met Starla and was immediately on edge around him. After spending time with Ren, he sort of figured that Valerian was not nearly as nice as he was making himself out to be. But, he had been the one to introduce Seamas to Starla and he immediately felt at ease around her. He was just beginning to trust Valerian when he found out that the initial plan was for him to die and he still hasn't recovered from that. Even if he does miss Valerian in a way he can't put his finger on.
