Sea Fairy Cookie is the Antagonist
DISCLAIMER: Spoilers for A Mermaid’s Tale and Towards the Light
Before you come at me, I need y'all to realize one thing about the plot of A Mermaid's Tale.
SEA 👏FAIRY 👏COOKIE 👏LET 👏THIS 👏HAPPEN.
We know for a FACT Sea Fairy knew of White Pearl's existence, as well as her sisters and the other denizens of Tearcrown, yet for reasons unknown, she decides to give W.P. a basically useless power that is explained so cryptically and is never actually seen coming into fruition.
"You will shine brightest when there is no light" girl when there was "no light" White Pearl Cookie went darkside, so was she lying or just wrong or ????
Beyond that, she was fully aware of the chaos ensuing between the Gem Mermaids and the Land Cookies. Yet in the literal MIDST of it all, she decides "yah I'm gonna make a tower and go to the moon bcus she's totally proven to be beneficial to my duties and is NOT just a pretty sight to see"
She basically leaves the Gem Mermaids to die. That is EXACTLY what she did, and it proves to be a failed endeavor nonetheless. Because she literally FREEZES in the process. HOW she got unfrozen escapes me but I'm sure it's as ridiculous as her motives to abandon her domain and people. And, she ignored White Pearl Cookie in her most dire hour, thus losing her faith and being close to the last thing that tips her over.
Sea Fairy Cookie also directly tells Sherbet Cookie that she's no longer an Elemental Guardian- i'm sorry, you gave up your DUTIES for a chick way up in the sky that might not even reciprocate your feelings??
I admit, Moonlight and Sea Fairy have had their interactions, albeit vaguely described or incredibly reliant on visuals to gain traction from fans. But I can't see what people find "romantic" about it. Sure, it's charming, magical, but for the longest time, I could never see Moonlight Cookie's behavior with her as romantic, but rather her just being amused at Sea Fairy's feelings and playing along because she was too nice to deny her.
If that’s all true, what does that mean?
She abandoned her kingdom for a Cookie who didn't even like her back!!
And if that IS the case, this just puts her in an even worse position as a character! Her story had a great vision, but was executed poorly, making her come across as a terrible Guardian and a desperate romantic who put herself before her people for a being who possibly never liked her back!
And if we put her side by side next to the other Guardians, it becomes even more clear how flawed she is.
Millennial Tree Cookie, Wind Archer Cookie, Frost Queen Cookie and Sherbet Cookie are all extremely devoted to their jobs, and take great concern in the cycle of magic in the Cookie World. Moonlight Cookie, despite the hopelessness of her situation, never gave up her duties of protecting the City of Wizards (I think SHE is more warranted to abandon her duties than Sea Fairy ever was). And Fire Spirit Cookie… we don’t see much of him, but what little we see, we at least know he’s aware, even if he chooses not to pay any mind to it.
Now that I say it, I believe the other Guardians, especially Moonlight Cookie, had more reasons to abandon their posts than she did. Moonlight Cookie was protecting a forever deserted city, a never ending, hopeless, fruitless endeavor, that she never gave up on because she was loyal and resilient.
But Sea Fairy? Sea Fairy gave up because she wanted to stare at the moon, and that was it. What’s more is that Sea Fairy Cookie herself compares White Pearl Cookie to Moonlight Cookie, dubbing her the Little Moon, a title she only takes in stride once Lord Oyster Cookie uses it as an affectionate term with her.
And even beside W.P., Sea Fairy STILL looks like a terrible person. White Pearl, albeit a little bit delicate for a character in my opinion, did objectively endure a lot more pressure and tragedy before she finally broke and became Black Pearl Cookie.
I understand Sea Fairy is meant to be something of a hopeless romantic, but with everything that was on the line in exchange for a lack of a response from her interest… it’s just not a good look on her, and really don’t understand why some people think it’s romantic at all.
I really truly hope we get to see Sea Fairy and Moonlight interact with each other, and that Moonlight gives her a stern talking to, explaining that abandoning her duties was the wrong decision, and encourages her to go back to her post. Given that it’s Moonlight, Sea Fairy would do as she says and become the Almighty Sea once more, make amends with White Pearl Cookie, and restore Tearcrown’s glory and reunite the Gem Mermaids once more.
but that’s MY wishful thinking.
So until any of this happens, or at least something along the lines of it, Sea Fairy Cookie will STILL be responsible for White Pearl Cookie’s transition into darkness, will STILL be a terrible example of a Guardian, and will STILL be a selfish person in general who put herself and her possibly unreciprocated emotions first before her domain and her people.
Thus, Sea Fairy Cookie is the antagonist.

CRK Cookie Run Warriors AU - Cookie Character Showcase #1 (Main Characters) 🍪
So I had this small idea in mind while starting up with making the Cookie Run Warriors AU. That being that I'll be showcasing several characters for some of these posts 🎀
This is done mainly for me to introduce each cookie that will have a role in Cookie Run Warriors AU. Split into different categories ranging from protagonists, antagonists, support characters, etc ✨
Starting this off, we'll be showcasing Team Friendship & Dough aka; The Five Main Characters: 🍪
Gingerbrave
Gingerbright
Wizard Cookie
Cherry Cookie
Herb Cookie
With that in mind, here's the main characters for this new CRK AU 🎀
Gingerbrave
The main character and mascot of the Cookie Run Franchise. In Cookie Run Warriors, Gingerbrave is one of two characters that doesn't have their full name showcase due to not knowing it. The other one is Gingerbright.
Prior to the start of the story, Gingerbrave is an unwilling guard known as an Oven Warden. He's tasked in guarding the cookies that are baked and trapped in the Witch's Oven in order to be spared.
However in exchange many cookies also baked by the witches were eaten, and it eventually prompted Gingerbrave to stick by his name. Becoming brave enough to escape the Witch's House.
Gingerbrave starts off as worrisome and afraid for the cookies around him, especially Gingerbright. However he slowly becomes much braver and stronger after he encounters and deals with several events in the story, now brave enough to protect his friends.
He's unaware who his mother was. But it's actually Croissant Naegi, the leading member of the TBD. Ultimately Gingerbrave's full name is revealed to be Gingerbrave Naegi.
~~~
Gingerbright
Similar to Gingerbrave, Gingerbright is one of the two Oven Warden's who unwillingly guard the oven for the witches that they served in order to have their lives spared.
Gingerbright is protective of Gingerbrave, and cares about him like a little brother. She's more bright in mind, learning about all places in the Witch's House that she and Gingerbrave can potentially escape from.
She also prompts Gingerbrave to follow her, convincing him to escape with her. Ultimately heading into the world of Earthbread, particularly in Shimmering Ocean Village.
Ironically she's brave right at the start of Cookie Run Warriors, but still cautious has an equal amount and intrapersonal intelligence tagged alongside her bravery.
This will also be the main concept for Gingerbrave becoming braver just like her, also making sense with his given name.
~~~
Wizard Ouma (aka; Wizard Cookie)
Out of all the cookies that were baked by the witches to be eaten but escaped just like Gingerbrave and Gingerbright was this little mage named Wizard Ouma.
Wizard is the only other cookie to escape the Witch's House, but more precisely out of her oven thanks to Gingerbrave trying to become brave enough to help a cookie from the same oven he's supposed to guard.
After escaping the oven, Wizard finds himself in Parfaedia City and into the hands of a fearsome yakuza gang that specializes in magic. Six months later he ended up becoming one of the high-ranked members in the aforementioned gang due to his strong usage in magic and how he's a very quick learner to master just that.
Unfortunately the magic-using yakuza were put into a very vulnerable state after the junior detective named Walnut Goro found the gang's base, prompting an arrest. Only Wizard and Cinnamon managed to escape, with both cookies going their separate ways in the process.
Wizard in particular found himself in Shimmering Ocean Village, where he's taken in by Captain Ice Riza to help alongside her when working for Sea Fairy Kimura. Three months later, he became the assisting mage to the Goddess herself after using the skills he learned when he was with the magic-using yakuza, albeit; didn't tell anyone about it at all.
For the most part he's smart and pretty calculative, but also serious and a little arrogant. He appreciates Gingerbrave and Gingerbright helping him escape the oven, but focuses more on his role rather than the thankful looks of the two aforementioned cookies.
Throughout the story though, Wizard becomes more understanding and empathetic towards the others. Seeing them as great friends rather than simply co-workers. Especially towards Gingerbrave, who he starts to have a crush on.
~~~
Cherry Bomb Futaba (aka; Cherry Cookie)
As her name implies, Cherry Bomb Futaba is very energetic and has multiple types of bombs in her giant inventory within a small satchel. Ranging from smoke bombs, detonated bombs, or full-on explosive bombs shaped like cherries.
Throughout her whole life, Cherry Bomb is given all the love and support by her caring family. Consisting of her two older sisters and her widowed mother, the little cookie being the youngest out of the Cherry Siblings.
Having a mixture of energetic happiness & cheer just like Cherry Blossom, and also having a reasonable amount of smart & understanding ideals just like Cherry Ball although it's more on the academic & creative side of things.
Capable of crafting her own variety of bombs both for sneak and attack purposes alike, using them to defend herself as well as defending her family and friends. But is also aware and understands her surroundings and the people around her, wanting to help those that helped her too.
The little one would often head to her grandmother's house in the Forest of Butterflies, happily visiting her and sending her sweet and yummy food that she made herself. Even after her grandmother passed away, the young cookie would still go to her late granny's house to meet up with Werewolf O'Donnell.
Cherry Bomb is kind and caring to Werewolf, both of them seeing each other as close as siblings with a very strong and wholesome bond. The latter being the only other cookie aside from the former herself to visit the house of a late grandmother.
Often enough she would go on her own adventures within the Forest of Butterflies, sometimes with and without Werewolf. Even after Cherry Bomb goes off towards more adventures outside of the familiar forest, she would still find the time to hangout and enjoy her sibling-like bond with him.
~~~
Herb Kimura (aka; Herb Cookie)
Herb Kimura is the holder of the Clover Soul Jam, which gives him immortality and helps enhance his Plant Magic. Plus he's now a Super Epic Support Class Cookie, as he can both heal his team and attack his opponents.
Having a high relationship with his mom, Sea Fairy Kimura, always having time for one another with a wholesome mother-son bond together. It will show anytime Herb and Sea Fairy are in the same scene, and also when one mentions the other.
During Herb's early childhood, he was pretty timid and meek. While he's polite and sociable just like what he is today, the young cookie back then preferred to be with his parents and also the cookies that they introduced him to and/or have a great connection with.
At the age of 7-years old, he stopped being so timid and instead became determined and strong. This happened sometime when the Shimmering Ocean Village was attacked and his mother was captured. Prompting a young Herb to stand up for himself and become stronger to help everyone around him. Both friends and family alike.
Overall, Herb Kimura is a polite and kindhearted social butterfly. He's also very humble when he meets cookies both new and old despite being a young god, wanting the best for everyone he cares about.
Fun Fact: Herb Kimura in Cookie Run Warriors AU is actually the exact same one seen in the Cookie Run Kimura AU. Personality-wise, design-wise, and concept-wise. The only difference is that he has a slightly different role, but overall the same one and also now the only character to be capable of breaking the fourth wall.

Now this is honestly just a bunch of bs that I'm putting together so keep that In mind.
So this is a ramble about the future crk legendary/ancient updates so please look at I spent so long writing this whore.
so in the update where we got sea fairy last year we also got sorbet and squid ink as playable cookies with her, so we can assume we also get cookie with the other legendaries. (I'll get to the remaining ancients later)
no first ill talk about fire spirt because I have a feeling that we'll get him first.
Now most of the dragon squad is already in crk and the one other character who has a connecting to fire spirit is like extremely new so all that's left is Dino sour.
Which is not a bad thing I fucking love Dino sour.
now next in line in my opinion is moonlight who I think could come with either blueberry pie, amber sugar, or sugar glass.
Both amber and glass could theoretically come with her, but in two different updates, which could work for me.
now millenia tree and wa could theoretically come in the same update, which would be a nightmare for ftp players, but if they don't millie would get churro while archer would get the cookiemals.
(now there's no evidence in game of timekeeper being in game but I'd like to think that string gummy and croissant would come with them.)
now we know nothing on how or when de will come to kingdom but I'd like to think matcha would come with her (matcha my beloved) now maybe White lily could come in the same or close together update but I Digress
Now onto the ancients
now there's somewhat a pattern going on with each ancient:
We get a 'girlboss' and an antagonistic character.
Pure vanilla: Strawberry crepe is the antagonist for chapter 9 while black raisin is very much a girlboss during any screentime she gets.
Hollyberry: I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Raspberry is an antagonistic girlboss (11-27 was a fucking bitch to beat)
Dark Cacao: Affogato is a current villain that has joined the cookies of darkness while arrow is a #girlboss in general.
So here's what's we can assume for White lily's and golden cheese's update
Now idk who will come with lily but we do have a girlboss antagonist with de so idk
now we do know going of the established pattern that in the golden cheese update we will get a girlboss and antagonist or a antagonistic girlboss.

My Best Cookie Votes and Why: Round 1, Part 1
Mint Choco: While Orange is nice and all, she's ultimately a pretty flat character...and not just in the literal sense either. Minty, on the other hand, has an actual backstory, for starters, plus he's not an absolute dick to his closest friend like his opponent is. Plus, Mint's implied romance with Cocoa is infinitely more satisfying than the Citrus Love Triangle that they do absolutely nothing with. (As a side note, I find it hilarious that the very first matchup is literally just Orange Juice vs. Toothpaste.)
Sea Fairy: I like Tiger Lily and all, but literally her only purpose in canon seems to be to never get told what anything is, which is extremely frustrating on the part of the other Cookies and honestly hits way too close to home. That, and her major character arc with Princess is NEVER touched upon, while Sea Fairy presumably actually managed to reunite with Moonlight.
Pilot: This matchup was essentially Good, Loving (probably surrogate) Grandparent versus Awful, Neglectful, Irresponsible Grandparent who is confirmed to have attempted to alter her granddaughter's DNA in order to change her personality. So yeah.
Pink Choco: Neither of these Cookies really stand out at all. I am a fan of Pink's Magical Girl theming, though, and honestly I'd rather see her on stage than Carol. Also, Pink's design is leagues better.
Walnut: I'll admit, she's just more endearing to me for some reason. Her power is more interesting (and I actually understand how exactly it's supposed to work), and honestly the idea of a little detective with a teddy bear assistant is just adorable. I'm still mad about Angel, but that's not exactly HER fault, now is it?
Dark Choco: DC is a compelling fallen hero character who drives the entire story of Ovenbreak with his disappearance. White Choco Cookie is French, and that's about it. Also:
How can you not vote for him when he promises you such important lore? (Granted, he calls you out for being vain if you pick him. Hey, any lore is good lore, pal! Also, I have long hair I need to worry about too!)
Purple Yam: Honestly, the fact that he actually questions the bad writing sold me on voting for him. He's also a genuinely good character despite his only emotion being anger.
Firecracker: I absolutely love her 80s arcade aesthetic, even in spite of her being way too young to have ever been to an arcade in the 80s. She genuinely wants everyone to have fun, too. Also, Marshmallow got Flame Bat and Celestial Star locked up for her Trial.
Squid Ink: To be honest, this was one of the tougher choices. In the end, I decided that Inky needed more love after what they've been through, so they got the vote. Sorry, Fig.
Roguefort: Devsis has a really bad habit this list of putting far more interesting recent characters against old characters with nothing really to them. I mean, yeah, Ninja's mysterious and all, but you've done absolutely nothing with him since not even LINE, but the defunct game Ovenbreak 2! Other than maybe change his name from Ninjabread, anyway. Hell, Tiny Ghost is more interesting than him, but even then newer players wouldn't even know that, since the one throwaway line hinting at something more was in a Cookie Quest, which were removed from the game entirely over a year ago. Roguefort is more interesting by default.
Vampire: Can I be honest for a sec here? I hate Pancake with a passion. He deliberately makes himself seem cuter to get his way. Based on his interactions with Cream Puff, he's just as cruel as his big bro, if not as outwardly aggressive. No, Pancake relies on psychological manipulation to get everything he wants, and the worst part is IT'S FUCKING WORKING. As we speak, he's stealing a Magic Candy from Devil, from Kiwi...hell, he's even stealing it from Vampire! And now he's dominating the polls, adding insult to debilitating injury. He's not even fucking cute. Yeah, I said it.
Pistachio: Soda has absolutely no personality other than surfboard. Do I even need to say more?
Peppermint: DE could be SUCH a good villain if Devsis could decide what kind of villain she even is. Also if they remembered she was a major villain at all.
Lemon: I'll admit, I see a lot of myself in Lemon. Mostly in feeling artificial and having basically no friends, ever. I honestly think I'd be in a much worse place if I didn't have a brother. Whip could be great if they did anything with the White Swan/Black Swan dynamic he has with Skating Queen.
Pitaya: I've always had problems with the "You can only eat if you work for it" mentality. First of all, you need food to get energy to work, and if you aren't fed, then how are you going to work hard for food!? Second, what if you're disabled or otherwise can't work? Do you just starve to death, then? It just sounds awful!
Cream Puff: She's trying her best.
Kumiho: ...I honestly don't remember.
Pomegranate: A genuinely good villain who stole the show with her introduction. She could've easily been a Knight of Cerebus if the writers cared enough.
Cyborg: Blackberry abandoned a child relying on her protection to chase after a man who didn't remotely need her help. Also, she hates Devil. Also also, Cyborg is cool.
Hero: If you've read Hellfyre Speaks, you can probably guess why I personally picked Hero. I'm just surprised at the popular vote; it seemed to me like Herb was way more popular! But I guess not? Or at least not with early voters.
Werewolf: He's far more fleshed out than Gumball by far.
Devil: Have I ever actually explained why Devil is my favorite? Like, sure, he's an asshole, but he's the fun, ineffectual kind of asshole you actually wanna root for that you see in cartoons; like, in shows focused on a 'villain' character's scheming, usually with a naive idiot going along with it and a very-much-ignored voice of reason. Like in Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, or Evil Con Carne. Devil also has a flair for the dramatic, a knack for 'evil' schemes, and even the perfect foil to play off of! He'd be an absolute goldmine when it comes to the more lighthearted antics between acts, but Devsis is apparently content to just haul up gravel.
Knight: I'll be honest, I saw Alchemist and immediately clicked the other Cookie without looking who it was. But this isn't a post about her, so let's talk about Knight. First off, he'd be the perfect antagonist to Devil; Devil goes full ham when acting out an 'evil' plan, while Knight takes everything WAY too seriously. He adores Princess Cookie but doesn't know jack shit about her, which juxtaposed with Princess's nonchalant rebuttals of everything he claims about her makes it hilarious in a kind of pathetic way. (Ex. Knight claiming that Princess would probably never eat Jam again, then Princess replying she could totally go for some right now to the exact same question.) He's delusional in a way that you'd feel bad for him if he wasn't so over-the-top about it, and yet at the same time he does have skills that match up with his headcanon of how things work, just not the reputation.
Matcha: Seems like the person who'd play both sides for her amusement. I'd keep an eye on her.
