shumika. easy. the combination of someone who blindly wants to be dehumanized and has to be outright taught to care for himself at all + neurotic controlling freak who ruins his relationships with literally everyone else, and only starts to gain some 'humanity' through seeing mika both think thats hot and also slowly, clearly deteoriate is so. auhoruahourhguh. i like the sweet route theyve taken in es!! where they get mentally better together but i do still prefer the psycho shit happening in es!. i th;ink they should have formed a suicide pact.

wranduin. ive been their shooter since i was like fucking 12 years old you would not believe how excited i was reading war crimes finally & seeing wrathis cute new model. my sexy 5 year old dragon wife.. more seriously i do like how they oppose and compliment eachother. i do really miss the little bit of shadow magic anduin dabbled in during MOP and lament him going full paladin mode. it fits with warcrafts love of turning everything into a fatherhood trauma arc but still.. auuu...it was much cuter to have holy priest boy anduin learn to be 'bad' (stand up for himself) and 5d chess 12 steps ahead 'the end justifies the means' wrathi learn to be a little kinder/softer. also i just love wrathion being fucking insane him freeing garrosh only to have him fucking die immediately and cause the next 5 years of expansions is funny as fuck. love you king. he should get to terrorize the fuck out of anduin forever to cheer him up from his knight depression

madohomu. i dont even have to explain this one. i cant. theyre everything. theyre nothing. every single fucking oc universe i make i have to physically hold myself back from just doing another timeloop a la madohomu. killing myself

tamamori/kawase. "making a tulpa of my dead friend who is actively suibaiting me and calling me a bitch ass loser and walks me around on a dog collar" obscenely fucking funny premise. i hope tamamori never figures out hes trying to get dick from an alter. more seriously i do really love kawases character and i wish there were more unrepentant cunts like him. it is genuinely fascinating for tamamori to develop a real, romantic attraction towards an alter who ostensibly is meant to represent his own self-hate, guilt and shame with himself. self care?

lucio/sandalphon. i havent touched gbf in seeeeveral years but i still love lucio so much. comedy wise they have endless potential with lucio looking exactly like his dead wife and the fucking. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" "laundry ^_^" scene still makes me crack up remembering it. the angsty aspect of sandalphon turning to someone who looks like his wife in his grief after losing him also makes me cackle like an evil maniac considering lucio does want to befriend him and see him happy. very moe smiling through the knowledge that sandalphon doesn't actually like him. giggle.

being new to dmmd here, any fav characters or thoughts? (love the shitpost art btw ദ്ദി •⩊• ))

Mink and Noiz might be my faves (tho every guy from the main cast has something I love about them, tough choice :")). (Ended up rambling a bit, so that's below for anyone interested ;'))

I've been infatuated with Mink's design for years now, dreadlocks feel so rare/underrated ^p^ His route reminded me a lot of Madarame's (prolly my fave main guy from Slow Damage), love me some kidnappers (/hj, it's my guilty(?) pleasure in fiction) :"D tho I gotta admit both Mink and Madarame frustrate me a bit with their grumpy "urgghh you cannot understand my dark twisted minddd"-attitude (for lack of a better term) (but it's also kinda refreshing in a way, idk, complicated feelings on that) :^/

I didn't know much about Noiz before playing, only that he's the kind of character you either love or hate and I admit my opinion on him jumped around a lot during my playthrough :"D he's such a frustrating little shit-brat from time to time but that's also what made him so fun for me, very unpredictable and meme-able >:) Also something about his design tickles my fancy, I wanna achieve his level of confidence to rock such a stupid hat lol

Ironically I have the same problem with both of their routes: I like the bad ends way more than the good ends :'9 well, this actually applies for all the other routes as well, but I feel like Mink's and Noiz's good ends specifically kinda lose what made them interesting for me?

- Mink's good end has way too little of him and his design loses the dreadlocks TToTT the short scene at the end leaves too much to the imagination imo (I guess that's what re:connect is for but I haven't gotten myself to figure that out yet (I'd rather play it myself but it seems to be kind of a hassle)), I assume he's mellowed out which I can't be too disappointed by (it wouldn't be much of a good end if he was still as much of a malewife-beater I guess :"D).

- Noiz's good end also kinda messes up his design: all of that little shit-gremlin energy, poof, gone. Now he's a business man :( the hospital scene still kinda has his brattiness but the time skip loses too much of it IMO (again, don't know what re:connect does with him but :^P). (I mean yea it's nice character growth and whatnot but >:(((( he didn't need to be fixed THAT much!!) (Also "Gee Noiz! How come N+C lets you have 3 endings?" /ref)

Also also, Virus and Trip were fun, wish there were more scenes with them. I seem to love characters who do things based on shits and giggles (looking at you, Eiji from SD) :^)

So early this morning (re: 3 am) I finished the Taku euphoria route of Slow Damage.

Reviewing in as few sentences as possible: As much as I love Rei, Taku is genuinely best boy so far. TakuTowa is the best sd ship. I love Yaoi Walter White.

I’m currently in the middle of the Madarame route right now, so I might as well give my thoughts on it so far. He’s like if Shiki, the VLG route of sweet pool and fanon!Mink were rolled up and combined into a character (unlikeable asshole who’s Not A Very Good Boyfriend). Sorry Madarame gang. I will concede and say he is, however, kind of a Bad Bitch.

the short answer is that it really only would make sense in takus route, a guy whose literally so protective of towa he threatens to kill him in his good end.

so like you could easily transition that into an obsession of literally consuming him so no one else gets him… and that would fix how horrifically boring takus bad end is.

i also think it would be a good route for the german cannibal conversation but really the perfect route for that would be fujiedas…

madarame bad end could also rip with cannibalism but i really don’t wanna change his bad end. sorry madarame

i went from super determined to make a long as fuck post abt rei's route to being like "eh maybe i won't, ppl are allowed to have their low iq takes" to seeing a take so cold and stupid that it's ignited my drive to actually write a post abt rei's route and why 90% of ppl who talk abt his route are severely incorrect

i asked around to some other sd blog and they said they'd never encountered my situation before...and i tried to play thru slow damage to really see if it wasn't registering that i did both of the routes and...i was correct...it did not register that i did rei's and taku's route!

im really really sad because ive been playing slow damage for a couple of months and was excited to see all the hype abt madarame (ugly bugly)... i sent a ticket to jast blue to see if it was just an in-game error but i forgot the ticket number so i MIGHT have to send in another to make sure they got it...

thank you for all the help im really grateful i might just have to also play both routes again even if it was a pain in the butt 😢😢😢

sd endings takes on the dash so ill say this idgaf about any of the endings theyre all kind of whatever to me. in a positive way❤️ my favorite thing about towa as a protag/pov is that hes so who gaf born to die world is afuck about everything that i felt 0 anxiety about anything that might happen to him i was just taking it all in as it came. Very soothing mindscape for me to be in somehow. but anyway yeah i didnt care especially for any of the LIs the closest i came to actively being invested in that aspect was during the madarame kidnap arc + bad end but thats just bc thats when towa looked cutest in the CGs🙏🏼
