I made these with both the lake dress and the Amidalans rebel cell in mind. A bit of Padmé as well as her legacy. The scrunchie has Naboo starfighter, the Naboo royal crest, and the Rebel starbird.

What is Veiling and how do I do it?

Veiling is seen in many different cultures around the world in many different eras.

Yarmulkes are worn by Jewish men as head coverings, Sikhs wear Dastars, Muslim women wear Hijabs, Chadors, Burkas, and many other types and styles. In North America we have the bonnets worn by the Amish, and Mantillas worn by Catholics.

Pagans, Witches, and Wiccans wear head coverings too, but we just call them veils, even though they bear no resemblance to bridal veils.

Veils are simply head coverings of some form for religious purposes. In paganism, we usually only wear some type of veil out in public to protect our energy from other people and entities. Personally, I take mine off as soon as I get to my house because they can get a little smothering or overstimulating.

Pagans and other practitioners may also use veils when communing with their deities, rituals, or worship out of reverence and respect. This is all personal preference though, no one ever said you had to veil up to talk to your deities or anything. It’s your own practice, so do what is comfortable for you.

Veiling for protective purposes is rather easy and it only takes a couple minutes. You can do this with a ball-cap, head scarf, bandana, hoodie, scrunchie, or hair tie. This can also be done with any jewelry you want to use as veiling as well, however I believe it works best if it somehow covers your head and your crown energy center.

Programming your Veil

Take your veil and cleanse it with your desired cleansing method and set your intention of protection while doing this. Intend for this to protect you from other people, energies, and entities that are not of your highest good or things that are just yucky and don’t need to be around you. Word it however you want. You can say this silently or out loud. Some people even meditate with it for a few minutes to make sure it’s saturated and perfect, others just do it on the fly. I’m one of the latter. After you do this and set the intention, it’s good to go. There’s nothing else to do but wear it and use it.

This method can be done for simple protection or for dedication and reverence for your deities in your craft, if you so choose. You can cleanse and dedicate a head scarf for your deity worship or rituals, or just forgo all of it.

it’s your craft, do whatever works for your path. 😊😊
