Series I, Part II

SCP-007 - Abdominal Planet

This one kinda scares the hell out of me, to be honest. Not the skip itself (dude with a planet where his abdomen should be, kinda weird, but otherwise fairly tame for an SCP entry). No, what scares me about this one is (and this will be a recurring theme) the way they’re just holding a dude hostage with no real oversight or recourse. Sure, the guy’s SSN comes up as invalid, but still. They’ve got this guy, they’re denying him access to the outside world, and…they’re just gonna get away with it.

As I said, this will be a recurring theme. In a lot of cases, I think the actual containment of things (usually people) is worse than the thing itself.

SCP-008 - Zombie Plague

This one does nothing for me. It’s exactly what it says on the tin, and while that’s fine, it just doesn’t appeal to me. All the same, I feel hesitant to give it a low rating because it is well written, it just isn’t my thing.

SCP-009 - Red Ice

This one’s kinda neat. It’s evil water (you can tell it’s evil because it’s red). It can contaminate normal water (including the water in people) and will kill them. It’s probably from another dimension. I don’t have much to say about this one. It’s just a fun concept.

SCP-010 - Collars of Control

I don’t like this one.

Not conceptually. Conceptually it’s great. Collars that allow whoever has the remote complete control over the wearer as long as they understand how to use the remote is a great concept. I love it. I also hate it, because one of the lines is “The most abnormal feature of the collars is the effect they have on the body morphology. They allow the user of the remote to reconfigure the shape of the victim to an extent that is apparently only limited by the knowledge of the programming language of the remote.” Nope. Hate it. I can take a lot of body horror, but like…something about that sets off all my Nope! Alarms.

This one’s just kinda sweet? Again, it’s exactly what it says on the tin: A Civil War Memorial Statue in Vermont that just happens to be alive and sentient. It’s nice. I liked reading this one.

Thoughts about zombie viruses in media?

(No presser to answer, I just thought you might have thoughts about it. Feel free to ignore this ^^;)

HI!!! IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED

Zombie viruses are INCREDIBLY hit or miss for me. I either love them or hate them and very often hate them.

My main problem is that SO much zombie media tries to be accurate to real life or take real world inspiration, and as someone who knows a lot about diseases, that ruins it for me SO bad. No matter what you do to Rabies it will not do that. Neither will prions. Honestly prions as a zombie virus often has racist roots in misperception of the Kuru outbreak in the Fore people. (Looking at you DEAD ISLAND.)

I like zombie viruses that are removed from reality. That's honestly why I've enjoyed the MLP infection au trend so much- quite a few of 'em hit the perfect sweet zone of fantasy science and pure fantasy. The Resident Evil series is in a similar spot- the science in that series is COMPLETELY insane and means nothing and it's beautiful.

When zombie media focuses on scientific explanations that are just- not science, it leaves out the much more amazing chance for weird story telling. Give me more magic viruses! Ancient curses! Completely implausible viruses that acknowledge they're implausible and don't focus on it!

....also sometimes when people learn I like diseases they immediately ask me about zombies and it makes me want to bite someone.

SCP#: AKY

Code Name: Green Flu

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Samples of SCP-AKY are stored in six separate vials and placed within They are separated into 6 vials kept within a biohazard box placed within a freezer at the Level 4 Section of the on-site Biohazard labs. Any testing must be approved by at least one Level 5 Clearance Foundation staff member. Testing using the Site-AO city simulation testing area must be approved by the Site Director. 

During a containment breach the freezer in question will activate a secret paralysis gas bomb that will activate upon the freezer being opened stunning any enemies but leaving SCP-AKY undamaged in any way. The bombs will only be deactivated after the containment breach is cleared. If they are activated, they must be replaced immediately by Foundation technicians after the breach is cleared. 

Description: SCP-AKY is a strand of rabies genetically altered supposedly by Group of Interest: Neo-Umbrella though there's nothing official to confirm this. Group of Interest: PENTAGRAM was involved with SCP-AKY supposedly trying to buy it on the black market. PENTAGRAM refused claiming and instead pinned blame on Neo Umbrella saying they were involved without giving evidence. They also stated they had their own virus that worked better which turned out to be SCP-AGL.

SCP-AKY infection is seemingly no different to SCP-008-A which is a variant that causes adrenaline to spike in the body and brain allowing the infected to run and attack the non-infected with greater speed and strength. Like SCP-008 infection starts off with normal symptoms that only get progressively worse until the host dies and becomes a zombie. Once a zombie their skin will become deathly pale and oddly their eyes will glow an unusual shade of yellow or orange.  This process can take anywhere between 5 months to 5 minutes. However, the main difference is that SCP-AKY is obviously a virus, and like any virus it has the potential to mutate rather easily depending on the circumstances. 

Like normal viruses SCP-AKY can mutate when an error has occurred when they reproduce after destroying host cells. However, in SCP-AKY’s case errors are more likely to occur not with just errors in the cells but with other factors including the environment. For example, if a host was wearing protective clothing or even armor before infection, they will be able to know that the armor protects them and be sure to keep it on their body even as they are chasing non-infected. Then there are hosts that have been infected in wild and open areas and thus learn to use the environment to their advantage. There have even been reports of them walking on all fours like animals. 

However, when chemicals and extreme physical and mental conditions are taken into account the variations can be much more extreme. There have only been nine recorded variants that exist because of this each one has been labeled SCP-AKY-1 through SCP-AKY-9.

SCP-AKY-1 is an obese variant, covered in boils and lumps of fat yet is still able to move around and even run if it desires. Spits infectious and blinding vomit at non-infected and will explode, releasing infected blood everywhere if it is killed. Possibly the result of someone accidently eating SCP-AKY infected meat or the result of poor eating choices such as eating too much processed, chemical, and artificial foods. MTF units refer to it as a Boomer. 

SCP-AKY-2 is oddly always a hooded infected that seems to be no different to the common infected but is extremely dangerous. Possibly an athlete while they were alive and as a result have become an athletic zombie. Able to quickly and quietly climb on walls, run faster than the common infected, and even jump up and down from buildings. Despite its strength, it prefers to use stealth in order to take down the non-infected. It is often referred to as a Hunter. 

SCP-AKY-3 is the strange result of someone who smoked heavily before SCP-AKY infection. Not only does their head bloat with several disgusting boils but their tongue extends out like a tentacle. With this new tongue they are able to latch onto non-infected, like a frog catching a fly. Though it takes them a considerable amount of time to drag the person back, their tongue wraps around the victim making freeing themselves impossible without help. They possess an odd defense mechanism where when they die their head explodes into a disorienting gas resembling the smoke that smokers puff out after lighting a cigarette. It is often referred to as a Smoker.

SCP-AKY-4 is another odd mutation seemingly the result of someone who does constant labor either on a farm or working at a low wage job. It seems because of their repetitive and back breaking work they become buff when infected but not in a natural way. Only one arm, typically the dominant arm, becomes large and so is that side of the chest and the legs but not the head and the other arm. This allows the infected to charge at anyone with great speed and force but not just charge at them, they can also grab them and crush them into a wall or the ground. It is often referred to as a Charger.

SCP-AKY-5 is a disgusting and almost goblin-like instinct that has a hunch back and slightly muscular build with large hands, all fingers with sharp nails. These infected are rather unusual as they don’t try to bite or even kill the non-infected, just manipulate them. They either like to trap them by grabbing them and throwing them over ledges or into trap holes close to where they hide. Or most curiously they will jump onto the back of an uninfected and force them to run around either off a cliff or into a horde of infected. It's unknown what causes this infection but concerningly due to the type of clothing of the infected, the fact that almost all of them appear male, and that they like to control the bodies of the living, its heavily implied they were criminals of sexual assault while alive. Though there is nothing concrete to prove this. They are often referred to as a Jockey

SCP-AKY-6 is a rather disgusting infected that grows a long neck, a slightly bloated stomach and an extended mouth that spits acidic and infectious slime at the non-infected. Its heavily implied that those who become this variant were heavy drinkers resulting in SCP-AKY mutating their stomach and by extension the acid it produces with the alcohol and other toxic substances they might have consumed. They are referred to as a Spitter.

SCP-AKY-7 is quite possibly the result of a host taking steroids and many other performance enhancement supplements and drugs upon infection. The result is a hulking monstrosity with massive mussels and the strength to throw cars, rip apart buildings, bend steel, and pull apart concrete structures and throw the pieces like projectiles. These instances are rather rare but extremely strong and able to easily kill a human with a single hit with the sheer force of its punch alone. They are referred to as a Tank

SCP-AKY-8 are the most anomalous in their origin, the only thing that remains consistent about them is that they are always women, always wear very little clothing, and are always deathly skinny yet have elongated claws like fingers and incredible strength. It is believed they are created when a woman under intense emotional stress and anxiety is infected. The evidence is in the fact that they are always crying and insolation when spotted only aggravated when someone looks at their face. Oddly, like SCP-096 they can be avoided so long as one is careful to not see them or be seen by them. They are referred to as a Witch

SCP-AKY-9 is quite possibly the most anomalous mutation though that’s mainly due to the fact that no one knows what they look like. All that is known is that during the initial containment and cleanup of SCP-AKY infection only one appeared and it wiped out the entirety of Mobile Task Force Zeus-10 “Necromancers” which were argued to be the most equipped of all the MTF units assigned to deal with SCP-AKY. The sole survivor was badly injured having lost his dominant right arm and right leg. He also receiving several fatal wounds all over his body leaving him with his left face gone, one of his kidneys ripped out, his right lung badly damaged and reduced in size as a result, and his vocal cords damaged beyond repair. He retired form an MTF unit even after receiving artificial organs and limbs for his losses. Though while he was receiving mental counseling it was made clear he couldn’t talk about the SCP-AKY-9 instance without having another mental breakdown. Instead, he merely drew a picture to help us visualize the instance.

SCP-AKY was discovered in 2009 when an outbreak occurred in the city of [data expunged], Pennsylvania. Originally thought to be a new flu and nothing more, it was called by the public the Green Flu due to it causing the infected to puke unusually green vomit upon infection. However later at random times with random hosts they started dying and becoming zombies as well as random SCP-AKY variants. The entire city and surrounding cities were placed under quarantine before the infection could spread far. The Global Occult Coalition had control of a majority of the quarantine with the SCP Foundation acting as support. In exchange for offering MTF units to support the GOC Strike Teams the GOC allowed MTF units to take samples that could later be contained. The entire containment of SCP-AKY is known as one of the best corporations between the Foundation and the GOC. 

Due to the mutative and often unpredictable properties of SCP-AKY it was decided by Administrative Staff to have it contained at Site-AO. Like with many widespread Weaponized Viral Anomalies, Site-AO’s unique testing area allowed the Foundation to discover many interesting aspects about the pathogen, please see Addendum X-15 for details. However, it should be noted that it's still debated if SCP-AKY should even be considered a Weaponized Virual Anomaly as its unknown what exactly the rabies virus caused it to mutate. It was merely a rumor that MTF units saw people in strange clothing taking samples of infected SCP-AKY hosts as Foundation satellites did not pick up anything. However, if it truly is the work of Group of Interest: Neo Umbrella before they became public like many believe then it's possible, they got their hands on the SCP-AKY-9 instance. If this is true, it would explain the anomaly's disappearance but also prove to be a worst-case scenario.

SCP-3775 is to be contained within three conjoined 5m x 5m rooms. It is to be kept alive whether in state 3775-A or 3775-B. In state 3775-A SCP-3775 is to be monitored at all times to determine mental stability. SCP-3775 is to be kept physically restrained to a specially built wooden chair and electrocuted through electrodes fastened on the head through a screwed metal halo.

In state 3775-B three separate instances of SCP-3775 must be monitored.

Addendum 3775-008: SCP-3775-008 is to be kept alive with minimal monitoring but must be kept in the room furthest from SCP-3775-013. Failure to comply with containment procedures of SCP-3775-008 will result in potential harm to SCP-3775-013.

Addendum 3775-013: SCP-3775-013 is to be kept alive with moderate monitoring. SCP-3775-013 is permitted to interact within the same room as SCP-3775-019 under personnel supervision.

Addendum 3776-019: SCP-3775-019 is to be kept alive with strict and constant monitoring. Description: In state 3775-A SCP-3775 appears to be an average white human male in his early twenties with curly black hair and brown eyes. Subject has been measured at 178 cm in height. Subject was born 20?? on ??????? ??th. Subject has no known living relatives at this time.

In state 3775-B, three instances of SCP-3775 exist.

SCP-3775-008 appears similar to SCP-3775 with exceptions such as missing eyes, replaced by hollow sockets which allow abnormal purple veins and bone structures to be exposed. Subject’s hair seems to become dyed purple towards the ends. Subject has irremovable purple coloration on its lips as well.

SCP-3775-013 appears similar to SCP-3775 with exceptions such as a total of five eyes that faintly glow a light blue color. Subject also features a luminescent organ similar to that of an esca as seen on the body of an Anglerfish. Subject’s hair seems to become dyed blue towards the ends. Subject has irremovable blue coloration on its lips as well.

SCP-3775-019 appears similar to SCP-3775 with exceptions such as what appears to be scar tissue along the right half of its body with epidermal red dots clustered around joints and around the eyes. Subject’s right eye is abnormal with a grey sclera and white iris and pupil. Subject’s left sclera is white with a red iris and black pupil. Subject’s hair seems to become dyed red towards the ends. Subject has irremovable red coloration on its lips as well.

Subject’s vocalizations sounds similar to that of an autotuned version of SCP-3775’s. It is hypnotic and [REDACTED]. Like one would imagine an [REDACTED] to sound like. It is impossible to resist to do as he commands.

SCP-3775-019 has been modified to have a welded metal muzzle to its face to prevent auditory vocal noise from coming from the subject.

History and Past Proceedings: The Foundation became aware of SCP-3775 due to widespread video circulation of music the subject created. Audience and viewers became enraptured with the music and upon listening were unable to function properly without the music playing in a conscious audio range.

Once obtained and studied, it appears no process in which SCP-3775 creates music is abnormal to that of any other modern musician.

After a prolonged period of time spent at the SCP Facility, SCP-3775 began to become distressed and showed signs of mental health decline, similar to that of severe clinical depression. Once the subject had hit a peak in its mental instability, it began to physically split into three instances of itself. This state shall be referred to as State 3775-B, the prior singular instance of SCP-3775 will be referred to as State 3775-A.

Eveline, the Connections, and the buried D-series lore

A surprising number of unused text files can be found by datamining the RE7 game file (I found next to nothing in RE8, for comparison). Many look to come from an earlier version of Mia's sequence on the tanker, which I may get to posting about those later ‒ but by far the most fascinating are a series of three files about the the E-series project, adding names and a whole tragic backstory to a couple of humble key items that are still in the game: the D-series arm and head.

These three documents were presumably earlier drafts of those you can still find in the final lab, though they contain a number of details missing from the final game. I'll share all three below, but we'll start with the second, because it's by far the most interesting.

Biological Weapons Development 2 We've decided that the biological weapon should look like a young girl. That way it will be easy to slip it into groups of, for example, refugees. In early ■■■■, 1999, Dr. Olivia ■■■'s team infected a human embryo with ■■ from ■■■■, creating four prototypes. These were named, Dana, Dahlia, Darlene, and Dorothy. The D-Series was able to control the thoughts of others by making them ingest a mold-like secretion. The initial symptoms caused by this secretion are visual and auditory hallucinations, and ■■■■. The secretion also erodes the target's cerebral ■■■. As the infection progresses, the target develops strong feelings of friendship towards the girls, and actively seeks to serve them. It is also possible for the secretion to fuse with the target's somatic cells, causing mutations in the body's physical structure. There's a real SCP vibe to all those clinical details and tantalising redactions ‒ far more is redacted in these early versions than in any file that made it into the game. What really killed Dana and Doris? We don't know, but the idea of causes worse than what's reported for other subjects is nasty stuff.

The most striking implication in this list is the story of poor Dolores, who killed two of her sisters (Dolores and Diana, D-006 and 7) before killing herself. We don't know why or how it happened, but Dolores was D-005, which is a number you might have seen before:

Well, shit. That poor damn thing.

The D-series arm belonged D-002 ‒ Dahlia, who was apparently 'decrepit after 319 days', so very likely affected by the same rapid aging as Eveline.

You find the arm attached to a horrifying corpse-doll-thing, the arm itself allegedly gifted to Marguerite by Eveline soon after her arrival. And speaking of this particular asset, the fact this arm seems to have tried to grow a whole new head even after being severed is a wonderfully creepy bit of detail.

I didn't find it strange that both components would have been on the ship with Eveline ‒ they're required components for making anti-infection serum, which might well be needed in transit or at their destination, and perhaps those components have a longer shelf-life than the serum itself. But the third document in the series tells us there was rather more to the fact that Eveline herself had that arm in her possession.

Biological Weapons Development 3 Eveline (E-001) has displayed remarkable results in performance tests against mice, ■■■■, monkeys, and humans. Finally, we have a biological weapon we can use. Unfortunately, her metabolic functions are lacking, meaning she still requires doses of ■■■■■. If ■■■■■ is not administered, the somatic cells age rapidly, and in a worst-case scenario ■■■■ may also occur. An attendant will be required to administer regular doses of ■■■■■ to Eveline. Having observed Eveline (E-001), we have noticed several interesting points: ・ Eveline has a tendency to regard the targets she gains control of as "family." It seems that gaining control of humans has a special meaning for her. ・ She treats part of ■■■■■■'s (D-0■■) corpse as a treasured possession. Perhaps she regards it as a memento mori from one of her sisters? ・ ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■. Perhaps ■■■■■■■■■■. Those infected with D-Series secretions can be treated with a special serum. The serum can be synthesized by ■■■■■■■■ing D-Series somatic cell tissue. In case of accidental infection, administer the serum as quickly as possible. Be aware, however, that the serum is only effective against mild infections. Administering the serum to those with severe infections can result in the infected cells coagulating and ■■■■, and may even result in death. Be sure to administer the serum at the appropriate time.

So apparently Eveline was in the habit of carting poor Dahlia's severed arm around with her, as some kind of twisted memento. Dahlia most likely died long before Eveline's creation, which does not make that detail less creepy.

Though it's much less interesting than the latter two, here's the first file in the series too:

Biological Weapons Development 1 This program started in 1997 with financial backing from ■ ■ ■ ■. The aim was to create a biological weapon that could take control of enemy groups without having to engage them in combat. This gives the program an advantage that differentiates it from previous biological weapon developments: it lets us turn our enemies into allies. Soon, those who once opposed us will voluntarily become our friends, serving us as required. With this program we can increase our allies while avoiding the costs associated with military engagements and having to deal with prisoners of war… The governments of ■ ■ ■ ■ and ■ ■ ■ may also be interested in this new program too.

Still no detail in any of these to explain why the two arms so very clearly attached to the D-series ""head"" were apparently not fit for purpose, but eventually you've got to just shrug and go with this stuff.

All these files are not so much "cut" content as older drafts that were accidentally left in the game, and they contradict the versions that did make it in in a few places ‒ for example, the draft version puts the project's beginnings in 1997, whereas the final version moves that date forward to 2000. But it's a real shame all that detail on the D-series was cut, because it adds so much context to elements that did make it into the finished game. The game still works without them, but I'd venture the whole picture is that little bit richer for knowing about them.

SCP-1230 - made us emotional the first time we read it. We love the book keeper dearly. (We also hope our book keeper comes back from dormancy 💔)

SCP-1281 - As I make this list I realize we are big cry babies as this one also made us emotional. "Before that time comes, you must light the darkness. You must make the night less empty. We are all small, and the universe is vast. But a universe with voices saying "I am here" is far greater than a universe silent. One voice is small, but the difference between zero and one is as great as one and infinity" definitely changed our brain chemistry and affected how we interact with the world around us.

SCP-1733 - really good if you want something horrifying with scary implications.

SCP-4999 - another one that makes us emotional. This one as a concept just brings us comfort idk.

SCP-5031 - sobbed after reading this one. Still get a little emotional after reading it sometimes

SCP-6959 - this cute little plushie can swallow earth whole and thats so silly to me.

SCP-___-J - just read it. I know I'm supposed to explain why I enjoy it but this really takes no time at all to read and I find it funny.

SCP-008-J - we hyperfixated on this one for the longest time. He's just a funny guy and we love him.

Newscapepro SCP Rewrite Season 2: Watched by a Hawk

“Hoop, I really don’t see why I gotta do this,” Cory, as was his usual mood while being made to do something when he would rather be sitting around eating double his body weight complained. “I can hit most of my shots, y’know? And it’s usually Scott with his cool HID thingy that does most of the work,”

“That ain’t no excuse to skimp out on firearm trainin’,” Hooper shook his head in abject disappointment as he basically dragged the private through the halls of the facility. “I saw ya miss about 18 shots on those tentacles back there in a row. You need to get your aim down pat,”

“Jeez, no need to remind me,” Cory grumbled and pouted under his breath. “But do we really have to do it now? I was gonna have the best nap ever, and then play with The Tickle Monster!”

“You can do that later,” Hooper said as the two men entered the firing range. It was a large, wooden room with two halves separated by a wall with a bunch of large openings for someone to shoot through, on the other side was a line of targets, all of which were painted to look like various creatures and Skips, mainly instances of 008.

There were a few other MTF in there, all standing around, aiming and shooting their guns into the targets. Hooper handed Cory an assault rifle and motioned towards the wall.

“Now, aim for the zombie and take your best shot at it,”

Cory let in a deep breath and let out a shallow one. “Alright, I can do this. I’ve been shooting things since I first got here, I can do this,” Cory hyped himself up as he walked towards one of the openings in the wall. He readied himself, held the gun with both hands, aimed at the target and then-

“Uhhh, three out of twenty’s fine, right?” Cory looked around the entire firing range, he saw a couple guards let out a snicker. Hooper glared at them, and they quickly went back to what they were doing. Hooper then put his hand on Cory’s shoulder. “It ain’t, Cory,”

“Awww…” Cory pouted.

“Now, lemme help ya,” Hooper said as he put his hands on the Private, causing the camera faced man to blush as the Corporal moved his arms around-

“Now, move your hand hear, grip the barrel like this,” Hooper said as he bent down to guide Cory’s legs. “Stand like this, so the recoil don’t completely fuck up your grip,”

“Y-Yeah, yeah mhm…” Cory mumbled and nodded energetically as Hooper continued to help him stance himself properly… and though he couldn’t tell, Hooper was also blushing.

“There,” The Corporal stepped back. “Now keep your aim steady, and hit the target,”

Cory nodded, and tried once again…

“…Well, ya did better than last time,” Hooper shrugged.

“Hell yeah!” Cory cheered. “Eleven outta twenty, that’s above half, an almost passing grade!”

“I got a feelin’ you’re used to those,” Hooper chuckled, Cory gasped in shock and pouted.

“Ugh, you’re such a meanie, I’m gonna go play with 999,” Cory crossed his arms as he stomped out of the firing range. “Bye Hoop!”

Hooper sighed, then let out a small chuckle. “See ya, Cor,”

And Cory proceeded to do just that, or, he would’ve if the hallways of this stupid facility weren’t so dumb and confusing. So dumb and confusing that Cory ended up going in the complete wrong direction and bumping straight into-

“Oh jeez, sorry for bumping into you, Dr. P,” Cory groaned in pain as he crashed into the frail old man… okay well maybe not frail, but he was still pretty old.

“You should be, you’ve been working here for at least six months!” Dr. Patience yelped. “What were you doing here anyway? I thought you’d be eating lunch by now,”

“Well… I was gonna, but I decided that playing with the Tickle Monster was more important!” Cory put his hands on his hips and nodded proudly. “So I was gonna go to his room,”

“Oh, he’s not in his containment chamber right now,” Dr. Patience explained, Cory’s face dropped for a moment. “I was doing an experiment on him, I wanted to see how he’d react to the consumption of a carbonated drink, like this Pepsi,” The scientist said as he pulled out the glass bottle of the carbonated drink from his pocket.

“Would that much sugar be good for him?”

“His diet consists entirely of candy!” Dr. Patience exclaimed. “I’m more curious to see how he reacts to the carbonation,”

“So is he in your lab?” Cory asked, not acknowledging a word of what Patience just said.

The doctor sighed. “Yes, Cory, he’s in my lab. You can play with him once my experiment is done,”

“Yay!” Cory cheered, throwing up his arms. Cory then proceeded to bolt down the halls and towards Dr. Patience’s lab. The doctor sighed and elected to walk towards his lab like a normal person…

“What’s going on here!?”

That’s the first thing Dr. Patience heard as he entered his own lab, Cory yelling at the two guards very roughly picking up SCP 999. He then saw an aged, sickly Flooper, barely standing on his own two legs being supported by Otis, looking at the blob of orange slime hatefully.

“Yeah, I’m about to do an experiment on that Skip, why are you taking it?” Patience yelped.

“Because this Foundation has been falling apart for too long!” Otis shouted. “And Flooper over here is not in any state to lead it,” He grimaced at the old man, barely holding it together.

“Falling apart? This place is pretty stable last I checked-”

Otis interrupted Cory with a shout. “Nein! Anomalies like this… creature have been allowed to wander freely amongst us humans for years. It’s a danger to the very core of this organisation!”

“He’s harmless,” Cory shrugged, looking concernedly at the blob of orange slime, who let out a saddened cooing sound.

“One day it won’t be,” Otis grimaced. “We should be containing these things,”

“We are, but we’re also meant to be protecting them!” Dr. Patience let out another yelp. “Cory’s right, 999 hasn’t hurt a fly since he got here,”

“You’ve been letting these anomalies run rampant too, your ‘assistant’ will be decommissioned once I assume my role as Site Director here,” Otis grimaced as he stared down at the person made of Lego™ bricks, standing near a drawer looking like he had just been caught trying to hide. “You’re lucky we don’t demote you to a D-Class for letting this thing run loose!”

“What!? Bricky’s been nothing but helpful-”

“And another thing, we’ve been letting an anomaly run in the outside world for far too long,” Otis grimaced.

Cory shook his head. “You’re going crazy, Otis, who are you even talking about-”

“You! You are an anomaly. Your camera face is a threat to the entire fabric of the world!” Otis yelled. “Guards, keep him here while I find a containment cell for it. Dr. Patience, leave and get back to work!”

The security guards pointed their guns at Cory, who held his hands up in surrender.

“Wh-What…?”
