2020 Term 2 - Fees

With the term now begun we are still not able to gather together until level 2 is reached. We don't know what the guidelines will be but we will keep you informed.

We have received notice from ScoutsNZ that Groups will not be invoiced for the term two National Levy.

What does this mean for us? The committee has met and taken the decision to pass on this saving to our Group members, in practice this means that term 2 fees will reduce from $90/youth member to $30. Unfortunately we still have expenses e.g. rates, water, power, insurance etc to take care of.

As always, we cannot know the individual circumstances of each of our families, so if you are struggling due to the current situation, please let us know and we can come to an arrangement - our commitment is that no young person will miss out on keas/cubs/scout/venturers due to financial reasons.

What an intense few days! The #ScoutConference is going really well and some great decisions for the future of scouting were made today. I'm so excited to see progress made in areas such as environmental sustainability, the sustainable development goals, using technology, and refugees. Scouts has so much power to do impactful things, and I'm proud to have been part of the process. #JamboreeScouts Opening of #APRJamboree in #Mongolia. #ScoutsMongolia ==> #Repost @scoutsnz_asia_pacific_jamboree ・・・ Scouts New Zealand had the honour of raising the "World Organisation of the Scout Movement" (WOSM) flag at the APR Jamboree opening ceremony. The 4 flag raisers were joined by the 4 senior representatives of Scouts Mongolia. 1 - the Mongolia flag, raised by a Mongolian Scout as the current hosts. 2 - the World Scout Flag, raised by a New Zealand Scout as the nation who had travelled the furthest to Mongolia. 3 - the Scouts Asia Pacific Region flag, raised by a Bangladesh Scout as next hosts of the APR Jamboree in 2021. 4 - the APR Jamboree 2017 flag, raised by a Korean Scout as the larger contingent at the APR Jamboree. A very public and visible New Zealand presence on the world Scout stage, and a privilege from our hosts that is greatly appreciated. There will be better photos and TV to come out of the media centre later.
