Mumbai Indians: Journey to IPL 2023
Mumbai Indians have been the most successful team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a record five championships to their name. Their journey to IPL 2023 has been nothing short of extraordinary. Let's take a look at how they got to where they are today. Mumbai Indians started their IPL journey in 2008, the inaugural season of the league. They had a decent outing in their first season, finishing fifth out of eight teams. However, the team struggled in the next two seasons and finished in the bottom half of the table. The turning point for Mumbai Indians came in 2010, when they signed Sachin Tendulkar as their captain. Under Tendulkar's leadership, Mumbai Indians reached the final of the IPL for the first time in 2010, but lost to Chennai Super Kings in the final. Mumbai Indians made it to the playoffs again in 2011 and 2012, but failed to make it to the final. However, they bounced back in 2013, winning their first IPL title under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. They won the title again in 2015, and then went on a hat-trick of championships by winning in 2017 and 2019. Mumbai Indians' dominance in the IPL is due to their strong core of players and astute management. Rohit Sharma has been the captain of the team since 2013, and has led the team to four of their five championships. The team also boasts of some of the best T20 players in the world, including Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Kieron Pollard. In addition to their star players, Mumbai Indians also have a strong support staff that includes the likes of Mahela Jayawardene, the head coach, and Zaheer Khan, the bowling coach. The team has a well-established scouting network that helps them identify young talent from across the country. Looking ahead to IPL 2023, Mumbai Indians have a strong squad that includes many of their regular players. They will be looking to add to their already impressive trophy cabinet and continue their dominance in the IPL. With the likes of Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Kieron Pollard in their ranks, Mumbai Indians are once again favorites to win the championship.
Delhi Capitals: Journey to IPL 2023
Delhi Capitals have been one of the most promising teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in recent years. Their journey to IPL 2023 has been marked by a significant transformation in their team culture and performance. Let's take a look at how they got to where they are today. Delhi Capitals began their IPL journey in 2008 as Delhi Daredevils. They had a decent start to their campaign, reaching the semi-finals in the inaugural season. However, they failed to replicate that success in the subsequent seasons and finished in the bottom half of the table on multiple occasions. In 2019, the team underwent a major overhaul and was rebranded as Delhi Capitals. The team management brought in new players and appointed Shreyas Iyer as the captain. The change in leadership brought a new sense of purpose and determination to the team, and they made it to the playoffs for the first time in seven years. Delhi Capitals continued their upward trajectory in 2020, finishing as the runners-up in the IPL. The team showed great resilience and team spirit, with many of their young Indian players stepping up and delivering crucial performances throughout the tournament. Looking ahead to IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals have a strong squad that includes some of the best young Indian talent in the country. They have a solid batting lineup that includes the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, and Rishabh Pant, as well as a strong bowling attack led by Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje. One of the key factors that has contributed to Delhi Capitals' success in recent years is their team culture. The team management has placed a strong emphasis on creating a positive and supportive environment, which has helped the players to perform at their best. The team also has a strong coaching staff, led by Ricky Ponting, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team. In conclusion, Delhi Capitals have come a long way from their early struggles in the IPL. With a strong squad and a positive team culture, they are well-placed to challenge for the IPL title in 2023.

Mangai Headcanons
I have lots of thoughts about the mangai and they ruin me and I love them
First, the more important ones.
> Lhikan was in charge of taking the Kanohi dragon to Roodaka, and so while he was gone, Nidikhi took care of running the city, while Tuyet and Naho came with Lhikan.
> Once it was just Nidikhi, Lhikan, and Tuyet, Lhikan and Tuyet got all buddy-buddy and Nidihki, probably by choice, did not want to be a part of it. THis meant that Lhikan was even more hurt by Tuyet’s betrayal and was more worried about Nidikhi, who had been off on his own all this time.
> Nidikhi went off on his own again after the Tuyet fight, which would have made Lhikan even more suspicious when she disappeared.
> Naho went to the other members of Dume’s former team for help, because they likely settled on various different islands, but they were not at first willing to help, because of an issue that split them all up, which sis why there was only dume as the only turaga of Metru Nui.
> Naho and Nidikhi were Dume’s personal guard
> Naho trusted Dume more, and got closer to Nidikhi through the guard role.
> Naho didn’t find out about Tuyet until later into the war, thinking she had been off on assingment, and neither Lhikan nor Nidikhi had the hear to tell her, since as the two water toa, they shared a special bond through that, if not through general trust and liking.
> Lhikan nearly confronted Nidikhi first about his betrayal, willing to give him one last chance, but was stopped by Hakann, who gave him the chance to undo his first greatest mistake.
> Lhikan considered Nidikhi so dead to him that be began to believe that the dark hunters likely just killed him, which made his return even more haunting.
> Naho’s mask was an Iden. In an attempt to scout, because she was wary after seeing the effects of the other missions, she used the mask, but Eliminator found and destroyed her body. The effect of this was that she was trapped in this form. The Ice toa with the Rode had died, so she had no way of telling Lhikan, but she watched over him and every so often he would think he heard her voice.
Now for the more fun ones
> The other toa were
Inaku (Toa of Plantlife), very calm, and they had armor that was more organic, and their weapon was based around this, just grown from vines into whatever weapon was needed.
Voma (Toa of Earth), used his Kakama to go too fast and lost his hearing as a result, used the vibrations in the earth and signing to understand and communicate.
Tupu (Toa of Stone) Big showoff, also had an Iden, which led to the discovery that two Iden users can transfer bodies. Naho hated doing so, and would purposefully not use her power around him as a result.
Kanae (Ice 1) Also a showoff, very much was competing to be leader of the team but nobody took him seriously as he had just become a toa right before they were called to fight the dragon.
Pala (Ice 2) Team dad, was very ironically warm to everyone, and was very protective of
Kumu (Ice 3) The most powerful of the ice toa, but communicated only in sign. Taught Voma how to sign after his accident, because Kumu found out he has inadvertently caused it during the fight with the dragon. Only used elemental powers.
Leva (Ice 4) Was revered by Ko-Matoran for how cool he was, and led to so many of them trying to be more like him, so calm and collected. he was unaware of this.
> The toa practiced combo attacks frequently, similar to the combos during the rahkshi fight in Mask of Light.
> Lhikan was especially good at focusing his fire, into essentially lasers.
> Lhikan got his shield from the commander of the fortress he was stationed at, a Toa of Air, which is why he just has a flying shield, instead of one that is just good on lava like Tahu or Ice like Kopaka. Before that, he used a greatsword, that he kept until his team died, and he left his sword at the memorial he made for them.
> Lhikan was a crafter, and built the memorial to the other mangai himself. He was offered help and refused.
> Pala, Naho, and Inaku were close, and all of them stayed in Ga-Metru usually.
> Lhikan trusted Naho, Tuyet, and Pala the most, in that order.
> Tuyet had been in a war before, and Lhikan sometimes forgot that she wasn’t there anymore during his war, asking her for help out loud on accident a few times. This was how Naho found out what had happened.
> Nidikhi repeatedly killed Dark Hunters by draining the air from their lungs a la Zaheer from Legend of Korra. This distanced him from Lhikan, who tried at every opportunity to let the other party yield, and got Lariska’s attention, noticing he was the perfect target.
> Dume was the only member of his team that did not stick with the group. Lhikan is the only one who knew anything about it until Naho went to them for help.
> Tuyet helped to design the Vakhi abilities
> An honorary Akilini match was held in which the toa competed in 2 teams of 5. Nidihki refused to play. Despite having smaller teams, the abilities of the toa made it a very good match. Lhikan and Tuyet were the captains, and Tuyet won.
> The two would go to other akilini matches after, but Tuyet never let it go that she had won.
> Lhikan, Naho, and Kumu all used Nova Blasts. Lhikan used one during the first wave of attacks from the Dark Hunters, attempting to sacrifice himself to save the rest of his team, who he shielded. He did manage to give them enough time to grab him afterwards and bring him to the Coliseum. Naho used hers when she came back with the reinforcements, going to Ga-Metru first to retake it. She did not need nearly as much time to recover, but was still weakened. Kumu used his to defeat the Kanohi Dragon, and nearly killed the rest of the team doing so. Voma managed to go fast enough to save all of them from the blast. Kumu was unharmed.

Korra Jedi AU
I’ve seen it done before, but I still kind of like the idea of Korra as a Jedi. The premise I went with is the idea of Tenzin as a Jedi Master who survived Order 66, managing to take the youngling Korra into hiding with him. He has since married and had four Force-sensitive children, as part of his idea for restoring the Jedi numbers. The Korrasami part comes in with Korra as this hotshot, powerhouse of a Jedi and Asami as an Alliance pilot. The story begins en medias res, and features at least one major character death (brace yourselves). It ended up being longer than I’d intended, fair warning. Any thoughts an feedback are welcome. (My previous two Korra AUs: Heist AU, Runaway AU. Continued in Part 2, part 3)
It was nighttime and the Imperials had finally left.
Jinora felt tears down both cheeks as she ran just ahead of Suyin, Lin, and Wing and Wei, all of them carrying glow-rods to light their way through the wreckage. Though her father and Korra and thirty-odd security volunteers had bought enough time to evacuate the citizens, the city of Zaofu was no more. The TIE Bombers and AT-ATs had reduced the great metal city into so much twisted rubble, all for harboring a pair of Jedi.
They paused as they came across wreckage from a scout-walker, its leg sliced off with a lightsaber. Calling on the Force, Jinora stretched her consciousness once again, trying to feel for her father or Korra. Following the evacuation, Jinora and Ikki both felt a disturbance in the Force—a horrible emptiness where their father, Jedi Master Tenzin, should be. They’d all steeled themselves for the possibility that their dad was dead.
Except that now Jinora could feel his presence again, kind of. She could feel him again, but different. He felt… nearby, but far away at the same time.
Korra, she could barely feel at all.
“Looks like this was as deep as the Imperials got into the city,” Lin commented as they caught their breaths. She pointed to a pair of dead Stormtroopers next to the bombed-out remains of what was once Meelo’s favorite restaurant. Both troopers had lightsaber slashes through their armor.
“I’m so sorry, Jinora,” Su whispered, placing a hand on her young friend’s shoulder. “There were just so many Imperials. And then they bombed everything, just to make sure. I don’t see how your father or Korra could have made it.”
“But I can still feel them, I’m sure of it,” Jinora frowned, trying to push her emotions aside to focus. “Korra feels very weak—and fading. Dad feels different, somehow.”
“Then we’ll have to keep looking, and quickly,” Su urged, stepping over the walker’s severed leg.
They passed the bodies of dozens of Stormtroopers and regular army soldiers, as well as a few of Su’s security volunteers, scattered about the blown-out streets and buildings.
“Must have been some fight,” Wei commented, looking around. “I kinda wish I could have been here to see it.”
“Is that your dad’s robes?” Wing asked suddenly, shining his glowrod at the base of a collapsed building.
“Dad, no!” Jinora shouted, running to the twisted rubble. Amid the metal and duracrete debris lay the tattered and slightly burnt remains of Master Tenzin’s trademark orange-and-yellow robes. “No,” she sobbed again and again, clutching part of an orange sleeve. “No, no, no, no, no!”
Jinora felt Su’s arms around her and Lin’s hand on her shoulder. Dammit, why did the Imperials have to do this? Why couldn’t they just leave her family alone?
“Su,” Bataar’s voice came in over the comlink. “Su, we’ve been hailed by a shuttle of some kind. It’s Mako. He’s asking for you. I’ll patch you through if you want.”
“I’ll talk to him,” Su answered. “Mako, it’s Su,” she hailed back a moment later. “I’m not complaining, but I’d love to know what you and the Alliance are even doing out here.”
“Our spies picked up on the Imperials’ mission against Zaofu, but not in time to come to your defense,” he explained. “Commander Bumi has a couple transports and some Y-Wings standing by to get your people out of there. They just need my signal.”
“We managed to evacuate the citizens into those sensor-shielded bunkers beneath the mines, but the entire city is destroyed,” Su explained.
“Why do you even have bunkers hidden in the mines?” Mako asked. “Never mind, it’s not important. So the Imperials just blew the city up and left? Why?”
“Probably because they got what they came for,” Lin commented, checking one of Zaofu’s security officers who’d fallen nearby.
“So, what did they come for?” Bolin’s voice came over the com this time.
“Jedi,” Su sighed, still rubbing Jinora’s shoulder. “I was harboring a Jedi master and his Padawan. They… gave their lives to hold the Empire off until my people escaped.”
“I’m sorry,” Mako said after a moment. “I’ve signaled the transports to head this way, but they’re not really med-equipped. If you’ve got any wounded, we’ve got a med droid on the shuttle, and we can ferry them back to one of our medical frigates while the transports evac your people.”
“Shouldn’t be any wounded, but thanks for the offer,” Su assured him. “And, Mako… thanks for coming out for us.”
“You’re welcome. See you shortly.”
“I found Tenzin’s lightsaber,” Wei spoke up. Su stood and Jinora finally looked up as he approached, handing the hilt to his mother.
Su looked the blade over, igniting it with a snap-hiss. The yellow blade illuminated the darkened ruins for a moment before Su extinguished it. “Here, I’m sure your father would want you to have this,” she said, handing the blade to Jinora.
Jinora felt a strange tingle as she reached for the weapon. “Jinora!” her father’s voice broke in as she took the saber.
“Dad!” she looked up. The voice sounded close by, but as if it were echoing from somewhere far away.
“Jinora, quickly!” Tenzin urged again. She leapt to her feet, running in the direction of his voice. She barely heard Su’s voice behind her. “Find Korra!”
Her legs carried her deeper into the carnage, into the northwest end of the city where the fighting had been fiercest. She passed more dead Imperials, another fallen AT-ST, two wrecked speeder-bikes, and even the wreckage of a TIE Fighter.
“Under there, Jinora, hurry!” her father commanded. “She’s under the north wall of that shield generator.”
Catching her breath, Jinora frowned at the collapsed slab of metal and duracrete. “You want me to lift that?” she asked. She’d lifted rocks, boxes, her siblings, and odd bits of furniture, but nothing even a tenth the size of that durasteel wall.
“You’re the only one who can, Jinora!” her father’s voice insisted. “She doesn’t have much time!”
Stretching out her hand and stretching out with the Force, Jinora focused her thoughts on moving the broken metal slab. She may have lost her father, but damned if she was going to lose Korra too.
At first she focused on lifting the whole slab. She got it to move somewhat, but she could tell she wasn’t strong enough yet to move the whole thing. Opening her eyes and scowling, Jinora tilted her head to analyze the debris. She realized suddenly that if she lifted just one side, she might be able to tilt the slab up enough for someone to fetch Korra out from under.
“Are you even listening? What’s going on?” Lin demanded from right next to her.
Jinora jumped, startled. She’d been so focused she hadn’t even noticed the others had caught up to her. “Sorry, but I need to lift that slab,” she explained. “Dad says Korra’s trapped under there, and I need to get her out! I’ll lift the wall while Wing and Wei fetch her out from under.”
Closing her eyes and stretching her hand out again, Jinora focused on one side of the rubble. Like her father had taught her, she visualized one side of it lifting up. Her focus wavered a bit as the weight of the massive slab resisted. Taking a deep breath and focusing again, she heard the rubble shift as she lifted one side of the broken wall.
“I see Korra!” Wing shouted. “She, uh, doesn’t look so good…”
“Get her, quickly but carefully,” Su ordered.
Eyes closed and focusing on holding the slab up, Jinora heard Wei and Wing scramble underneath the levitating wreckage. Moments later she heard them picking their way back out.
“They’ve got her,” Su said calmly. “You can let it down now.”
Exhaling, Jinora opened her eyes and let the slab slammed back into place. She felt more tears as Wei lay Korra’s broken body on the duracrete. Wing crouched nearby holding Korra’s saberstaff. Jinora wept as she knelt beside the young woman who’d been like her older sister for as long as she could recall.
“How is she even alive?” Lin frowned.
Jinora shook her head, just as baffled. Korra’s left arm and leg were completely crushed and probably couldn’t be saved. She had a blaster burn on her left side and several other burns that Jinora suspected were caused by flame troopers. Jinora didn’t even want to think about how many bones were broken.
“Mako, it’s Su again,” Su requested over the comlink. “I was wrong, we’re going to need med-evac, right away. We found the Padawan; she’s alive but barely. Meet us near the northwest shield-generator.”
“On our way, Su,” Mako came back. “Asami will get us there as quick as she can.”
“Hurry,” Su urged. “I don’t know how much longer she’ll last.”
The crazy part for Jinora was that Korra didn’t look in pain. After her battle with that maniac Zaheer, Korra had been badly broken, her face contorted in incredible pain. But right now she looked calm, as if she’d made peace with the belief that she was going to die, that she was sacrificing herself to save others.
Jinora fervently hoped that belief would prove false.
The roar of ion engines shook Jinora from her worries. An assault shuttle swooped by moments later, then circled around to land in an open boulevard a few dozen meters away. Once settled, the ramp lowered and Bolin and Mako charged out with a stretcher, rushing toward Jinora and the others. A 2-1B droid shuffled in their wake, carrying medical supplies.
“Alright, let’s see what—” Mako broke off as he arrived with the stretcher. “Wait… that’s–that’s Korra! Korra was the Padawan?”
“Whoa, Korra’s a Jedi?” Bolin murmured as they knelt to set the stretcher down. “I mean, I always knew Korra was high-level super awesome, but I didn’t know she was Jedi-level super awesome.”
“Wow, this looks bad,” Mako said quietly, frowning deeper as his glance paused over the broken remains of Korra’s left arm. “Two-One, go ahead and start examining her. Tell us what we need to do to get her stabilized and prepped for transport.”
“So, Korra did all this?” Bolin asked, gesturing to the scattered Stormtrooper bodies as the medic droid examined Korra’s battered form.
“Korra and Tenzin and a few dozen of my guards who volunteered to help hold the Imperials off,” Su explained. “As best we can tell, Korra was the only survivor.”
“Wait… huh, does that mean Tenzin was her Jedi master then?” Bolin asked. “That actually makes a weird kind of sense, somehow.” He grimaced, then turned to give Jinora a hug. “I’m really, really sorry about your dad,” he murmured.
“It’s alright,” Jinora answered calmly, despite a few tears falling. “I know he’ll always be with me, at least in spirit.” She could almost feel him standing behind her as she clutched his lightsaber.
“Yes! Good way to look at it,” Bolin encouraged her, though she could tell he’d completely missed her meaning.
“Hey guys, I hate to rush you, but we need to get moving,” a new voice said from the shuttle. Jinora turned to see an elegant, dark-haired young woman in a headset and crimson flight suit at the top of the ramp. “Commander Bumi says his Y-Wings picked up an Imperial dreadnought inbound to the capitol,” she explained. “He’s going to take the transports to ground to keep from being spotted. If we’re going to keep from having to do the same we’ll need to be out of here within the next five to ten minutes.”
“Right, I think she’s secure,” Mako reported. “Two-One will have to work on keeping her stabilized for the flight. Want to give me a hand, Bo?”
Jinora stepped aside as they started to carefully lift Korra’s stretcher. She looked down at her father’s saber still in her hand. She closed her eyes and exhaled. It wouldn’t be easy, but she knew what she had to do. Her father didn’t say anything, but she knew this was something he equally did and didn’t want. She turned and stepped over to Suyin.
“I’m going with them,” Jinora declared quietly. “I need to be there for Korra, and I feel like that’s where my destiny is taking me—where the Force is leading me.”
She’d been expecting some kind of ‘you’re too young’ speech but was pleasantly surprised when Su just nodded.
“I’ll say goodbye to your mom, your brothers, Ikki, Kai, and everyone else for you,” Su promised. She turned and took Korra’s saberstaff from Wing, handing it to Jinora. Jinora clutched both sabers to her chest and nodded gratefully.
“Ikki’s response will probably be ‘no fair, how come Jinora gets to run away to join the Rebel Alliance and I have to stay here?’” Jinora laughed.
“Stay safe,” Su smiled, kneeling down to hug her.
“Before I forget,” Bolin barged in, rushing up to Su. “Opal says ‘hello’ and wishes she could be here. Or, at least, I’m pretty sure she would, except that she’s on a procurement mission for the Alliance, so she probably doesn’t even know about all this yet, but I’m sure she’d want me to say ‘hello’ for her, and—”
“I know what you meant, big guy,” Su assured him, standing up to hug him too. “Keep taking care of my little girl for me, alright?”
“Bo! Asami says we’ve got to get moving,” Mako hollered from the ship.
“Right!” he answered, releasing Su and turning to rush back to the shuttle. Jinora followed right behind him.
“Wait, where do you think you’re going?” Mako scowled as Jinora dashed up the ramp. “You can’t just—gah!” he cut off with a snap-hiss as she ignited her father’s lightsaber.
“I’m going with Korra, so strap in so we can take off,” she ordered, dropping into a fighting stance. She could almost feel her father chuckle behind her. “I realize they’ve gotten really good at using bacta to reattach severed arms, but I’m betting it still hurts when they get cut off,” she continued, channeling Korra’s stubbornness.
“Alright, jeeze,” Mako backed off. “You didn’t have to threaten me.”
“It’s faster than arguing,” Jinora told him, shutting down the saber as the ramp started to close. She strode past him into the shuttle’s twenty-four-passenger hold. Bolin just grinned as he buckled himself into a seat near Korra’s cot. The 2-1B droid stood over Korra’s motionless form, a breathing mask over her face and her broken body secured for transport.
“I like this little girl already,” the pilot’s voice floated down from the cockpit.
“You could have killed me with that,” Mako scowled as he strapped in.
“No, I couldn’t have,” Jinora shook her head as she fastened her restraints. “I’m almost as good as dad with a saber, and I’m at least as strong with the Force as he is.”
“She’s got you there, Bro,” Bolin snickered.
“She’s adorable,” their pilot agreed as Jinora felt the shuttle lift off. “Can I adopt her?”
Mako just rubbed his eyes.
“Oh, by the way, that’s Asami, one of the Alliance’s top pilots,” Bolin said, pointing in the general direction of the cockpit. “Asami,” he added, picking up his voice, “this is Jinora, Master Tenzin’s daughter, both of whom are apparently Jedi.”
“Nice to meet you,” Asami’s voice came back. “I’ll introduce myself in person once we’re in hyperspace.”
They were quiet a long moment, the only sound the hum from the sub-light drive.
“So the yellow saber is your dad’s then?” Bolin asked, pointing to the lightsabers on Jinora’s lap.
“Mm-hmm,” Jinora nodded.
“How come Korra’s hilt is so much longer?” he asked next.
“It’s a saberstaff,” she explained, lifting the weapon. “It has two blades.” She held the saber in front of herself and ignited it to demonstrate. Bolin’s eyes got huge as dual blue blades hummed to life.
“That is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard of!” Bolin gushed, leaning forward. “I had no idea something like that even existed.”
“Sounds like a good way to cut yourself in half, to me,” Mako scowled as Jinora extinguished the blades.
“It can be,” Jinora agreed. “That’s why their wielders have to be ridiculously skilled to use them effectively. Thankfully, this is Korra we’re talking about,” she added. “She’s kind of a powerhouse at everything she does; her Force manipulation and lightsaber skills are no exception. When she gets going, she’s practically a one-woman army.”
“I gathered that from the number of dead Imps in the vicinity,” Mako admitted.
Jinora nodded as she yawned. She closed her eyes and lay her head against the nerf-hide seat, willing sleep to take her. It had been a long day.

trick-or-treat trio
I’m going through major writer’s block so just bear with me here
Some dialogue while Agrona tries to pick out costumes for trick-or-treating with Zaheer and Endymion. (You can decide who’s talking, I won’t say ;3c)
“Alright, guys, how’s this one?”
“Are you--… Did you seriously pick out a fish costume?”
“That’s mine thing, Nona, find something else!!”
---
“You should be going as a devil instead of an angel.”
“Ya know, for someone usually covered head to toe anyways, this outfit is way too modest for you. Find something sexier.”
“Oh, so you want sexy angel?”
“ABSOLUTELY NOT.”
---
“Eh? Not bad right?”
“.... You are not going out dressed as “Sexy Commander Libitira.””
“This is not what I meant when I said find something sexIER!!”
---
“No.”
---
“Agrona Vass, what the fuck are you wearing?”
“Whaaaat? You don’t like mummies?”
“You look like you got TP’d by the children in Lion’s Arch.”
---
“Please, Nona, can’t you just pick a normal costume for once? How about a witch? You wanna go as a witch???”
“I think this destroyer costume is perfectly suitable for trick-or-treating, thank you.” “A VAMPIRE?? YOU WANNA BE A VAMPIRE???”
---
“Ok, you know what? I’m done with this. No more picking. I’m finding a costume for you.”
“Endymion, please--”
“No no no, you’ll thank me later.”
---
“.......”
“Oh wow, this one’s actually pretty good!”
“It’s later, Nona.”

persona
college has been a bitch but i wanted to complete all the weeks for the event. forgive this mess
---
He’s such a small thing when he’s born. Massive ears and a tiny, tiny body. His parents worry that he's going to trip over those ears until he grows into them, but somehow he manages to stumble about before his eyes even open all the way.
It takes his parents a few days before they finally decide on a name for him. By that time, his eyes are shining amber as they gaze at their green surroundings. He follows twittering birds and swift butterflies wherever they go, so much so his mother has to put him in a pen to keep him from wandering off.
“What do we name him?” His mother asks.
“Zaheer.” His father responds.
---
The first thing they notice that is wrong about him is his absolute refusal to read. All other progenies are already well-versed in grammar but he won’t pick up even a human’s children’s book. He doesn’t write down his notes in class, nor do the readings at home. Most nights, his mother is forced to read the books for him until she eventually creates a golem to do it for her.
But what is strange is that he is at the top of his class despite never touching a book.
They decide to take him to a doctor. A few tests later, and they get their results.
“Well, it seems like your son Zaheer has a very rare ability,” the doctor says. He takes one of Zaheer’s still oversized ears and holds it up. “He can remember everything he hears. No matter how long ago it was. I asked him to recite last year’s lessons and he did it perfectly. He refuses to read because even at this age, he knows there’s no use for it.”
His mother gasps while his father looks at him with wonder in his eyes. “The perfect auditory learner…”
Zaheer just blinks up at them and smiles.
---
He becomes famous among the other progenies after his diagnosis goes public. What college professor wouldn’t want to show off their son’s incredible talent? Zaheer doesn’t mind all the attention, but he wishes he had more time alone to himself. Hearing so many voices all day is exhausting.
He looks to other popular progenies to see how to act. Jaxx is aloof, seeing himself as above the flock of lower IQ progenies that follow him like sheep. Iilya full on bullies everyone around her that doesn’t meet her expectations. Zivv acts as if no one else exists. So Zaheer takes on a persona too: a cocky know-it-all that drives any foreign visitors crazy when they try talking to him.
He’s exhausted by the end of each day keeping that persona going, but he wants his reputation to stay strong. All well-known asura take pride in their abilities, even if it means walking the thin line between that and arrogance. But let’s be honest, it’s mostly arrogance. So he sticks to that persona and thrives in the community. Even the great Zojja notices his work, and he breezes through classes like they’re basic level courses.
---
The Durmand Priory practically begs for Zaheer to join their ranks right when he finishes his studies. He accepts, of course. They need a walking index if they want all their knowledge to be completely secure. Scholars come to him when they need to remember certain texts or artifacts. He spends hours listening to Gixx document everything from the smallest piece of parchment to the massive crumbling statues of the human gods.
Of course, being one of their most valuable assets, he’s susceptible to, uh… being kidnapped. After the first attempt by the Inquest to learn his secrets, he now has at least one other Priory member with him at all times. After awhile, he begins requesting individuals to accompany him places. Like the duo of the cheery sylvari and gentle norn. Or the cute archon that showed him how an idol of Balthazar has laser eyes that incinerate objects when you press the right button.
He likes her a lot. Her name’s Kirra, but everyone calls her Mouse for her abnormally circular ears.
But he has a reputation to uphold, and he can’t afford being sweet with any of the ones he likes.
… Okay, maybe just a little bit for her.
---
Five years later he’s been promoted to explorer, has a wonderful, precious girlfriend that he adores and adores him back, and he’s in the middle of a jungle running from a very angry, very large plant monster. He doesn’t know how he’s still outrunning the creature on his tiny legs, but he clutches the artifact closer to his chest and keeps running. It took him too long to find this tablet and by the Eternal Alchemy, he is not letting it go now!
Oh, did he mention he’s screaming the entire time too?
The loud, nasally shrieking must have notified the other scholars, because not moments later a group comes rushing out of the bramble. He expects pale Priory blue on every individual, but instead gets an array of colors and the all too familiar garb of none other than the Pact Commander.
She strides between him and beast, extending her hand and slowly forming a fist. The Mordrem husk crumbles to its knees, clawing at the invisible force that crushes the heart in its chest. Once it falls forward, still twitching but unable to move, she makes a swift motion like she’s ripping it out of its chest, and the beast is dead.
“Holy fuck…” is about all he can manage to say.
The commander turns to him and he squeaks when he recognizes her face. One claw shakily points to her, “Y-... You’re, you’re that… You’re the norn! The one with the cheery plant! Lili-something! You’re the Pact Commander, now?”
She scowls so harshly his ears drop in fear. “It’s Libitira. And I seem to recall you being more… courageous, Zaheer.”
He’s so caught up in the shock of the moment he completely forgets about the persona. He sputters, coughing to regain his composure before letting the personality drape over him like a cloak.
“A moment of weakness, that is all.” He waves it off like he wasn’t just screaming bloody murder. “I had the situation under control. Though I do appreciate the little help you offered.”
One of her companions, a human woman in dark colors, scoffs as the other norn’s face grows confused. Commander Libitira just rolls her eyes. “Drop it already, Zaheer, we all know you’re not that cocky. Everyone in the Priory knows you babytalk your little bee golem when you think you’re alone.”
His jaw drops and his eyes follow her as she casually walks past him as if she hadn’t just outed one of his biggest secrets in front of her entire party. Had he… really been this transparent the whole time? He thought he pulled the personality off perfectly! Her companions begin to follow her back in the direction from which they’d come. Ears flicking upwards, he runs after the group.
“Hold on, hold on- Who told you?!”
“Who do you think?” Libitira calls back, before cackling madly.
“Mouse!”

tell us abt the prism six as a group? how are they connected? whats the dynamic? give us the Tea
//rubs hands together// yay ive been waiting for someone to ask
The Prism Six was the group that was made to combat minor or even non-dragon related issues, an idea brought up by Zaheer after seeing how well they worked together in Maguuma during HoT.
Libitira, Agrona, and Zaheer were the original three members and their key moment to becoming a guild was defending Tarir from the Mordrem. Libitira had found Agrona captured with the Pale Reavers, and after finding out she was an apprentice under Tonn (Libi’s old friend), she let her join the group that would rescue Trahearne and Destiny’s Edge. Zaheer was a Priory scholar brought to research Tarir and Rata Novus, and Libi knew his ability to remember any information spoken to him would come in handy.
Agrona and Zaheer lost contact with Libitira after she fled Maguuma, but then Indumathia was born, and Karmanor, a Whispers agent, was assigned to track down Libitira with Tybalt (OH YEAH BBY HE’S ALIVE HERE). Indumathia was the first to find her and help her get over her grieving, and Karmanor used the trail she left to find the lost commander and notify Trahearne and Destiny’s Edge. Libitira admired his ability and he was accepted into the group.
Endymion is the odd one out. He doesn’t really care about anything going on, but he’s still there because his sister told him to be, to protect Indumathia because he was the one that let her go to Hoelbrak and put her in danger with Jormag anyway. The rest of the group is cool with him and they just laugh off his complaints. He’s lying half the time.
The Prism Six are a lot more in sync than Dragon’s Watch, despite doing their own thing most of the time. Agrona takes care of the bandits and centaurs in Kryta, Zaheer tries to make peace with the lesser races of Tyria to preserve their cultures and history, Karmanor keeps the ghosts at bay in Ascalon while monitoring dragon activity in the Order, and Libitira, Endymion, and Indumathia are working on the dragons with Dragon’s Watch (although Indu and Endy refuse to become members of that guild).
And SURPRISE SURPRISE, they actually care about how their leader is feeling!! They make sure that all members are alright!! Of course they have their fights with each other, but they are normally resolved very quickly. They know what they’re doing and how they want to do it, and they don’t let their pettiness get in the way of it.
They will be shown working together the most when Balthazar rises and Palawa Joko kidnaps Indumathia in the fanfics c:
