Humorous thought for you allâŚ
When you lose an eye, your depth perception is significantly affected. (For those unfamiliar, depth perception is the ability to tell about how far away something is.) Which means, after losing his eye, there was probably a period of time where Aekku kept running into things.
Make of that what you will.

More dramatic scenes from Operation: White Snow Continues, and some analysis of Geomeunjogjebi.
Geumsaegi discovers that Juldarami has been kidnapped, and proceeds to, possibly implied via the title card, jump out the window.
He then runs around screaming in the woods, punching trees, wondering how he and the Flower Hill plans could go on without Juldarami.
Never mind the fact that he could have been the next target, and should have considered that, given his position. He went out into the woods alone, and could have been captured as well for that mistake, which could make for an interesting episode AU if he has to work from that angle.
It is actually General Commander Jogjebi who actually does something useful first. He immediately freaks out, because the soldier he sent out to investigate a possible traitor ring came back injured, and then was abducted. He understands the greater connotations of a group of individuals kidnapping someone who might have the information on who is a threat to the Weasel Unit. With the Regimental Commander missing, who can he trust if he goes outside?
If anything, traitors are more dangerous than scouts from Flower Hill, especially since they have a more vested interest in killing him, whereas Flower Hill could use him as a hostage. Naturally, Commander Jogjebi immediately has his soldiers start searching the base.
Which is something Geumsaegi should have done at the start, instead of running around in the snow.
Meanwhile, the concept of Geomeunjogjebi is interesting in general.

This weasel appears as Aekkuâs replacement in The Pact, throwing himself into the role with enthusiasm. He appears in Operation: Snow White Continues, having performed an autopsy on his own brother, and discovered that the bullets that killed him were of Weasel Unit make. Therefore, it was obvious to him that Juldarami had killed his brother, instead of the Rabbits.

Clearly, he wants revenge. But how did he know Juldarami was a scout? Apparently, he was not part of The Pact or the Rebels of Mt. Rock beforehand (he did have the secret insignia, though, so at least he was not playing a large part). There are two possibilities.
One, he was part of the rebels all along, and it had already be determined that he was to be Aekkuâs backup. He was just not seen, since as a doctor he had to work in a specific area, and could not join the rest of the rebels immediately. This does not explain why he would know Juldarami was a scout, considering Aekku only figured it out in Rabbit Village.
If anything, Geomeunjogjebi would have known that Geumsaegi was a scout, since thanks to Mulmangcho they already had that information.
It would have been prudent to grab Geumsaegi as well, but revenge on Juldarami apparently took priority.
The second possibility is that Aekku was suspicious of Commander Jogjebi and Juldarami, wondering if there was a plot to have him killed in Rabbit Village, and decided to leave all his information behind for his brother to find, in a hidden location only the two of them would know about. Perhaps a dossier on everything The Pact was doing, so Geomeunjogjebi could pick up where he left off.
Problem with this is, while Aekku should have known about Geumsaegi being a Flower Hill Scout, he did not figure out about Juldarami until Rabbit Village, which means that bit of information should not have been in any left behind notes.

Unless, of course, Aekku make some sort of phone call from the hotel room, informing his brother on where to find the notes, and the possibility that the Regional Commander was a Flower Hill scout.

Obviously he just assumes Commander Jogjebi is compromised at this point, so Aekku could not make a phone call to the base and tell Jogjebi that the plan was in Jeopardy.
Which makes calling Geomeunjogjebi a higher possibility. Naturally, the phones would be wiretapped, but Aekku, as the Scout Commander, might have the knowledge on how to remove the wiretap, or at least speak in a friendly and specific manner that his brother would recognize as a message that the Rabbit listeners would not understand.
Since Geumsaegi ran off into the forest alone, Geomeunjogjebi, as a doctor, could have easily followed and grabbed him with some chloroform or other sleeping drug, moved him, and then claimed that he lost Geumsaegi when that one tree fell down. And then they would have two hostages in order to get close to General Commander Jogjebi. But, apparently, revenge may have taken priority at that point.
Also, Juldarami was injured, and Geumsaegi had proven himself a formidable opponent in fighting weasels, let alone two grieving mice.

sahtoon fanfiction concept. I. Think
A Very Normal Day
Agent 3, Mi-Rae, has to go from Inkopolis to the territory of Black Rock, as they are currently working on a weapon with the Octarians. Cap'n Cuttlefish is somehow aware of it, deciding to alert them.
As Mi-Rae progresses through the mountain, they're in an Octarian disguise. (bro thinks they're geumsaegi đ)
Interacting with Mulmangcho and Scout Commander Aekku has to get them to reveal their relationship (which is publicly kept a secret), unaware of Mi-Rae's intentions.
(special thanks to @weaselfactoryex for ideas lmao)

Aekku, texting: I'm moving and found a black machete under my bed. Is this yours?
Juldarami: Who is this?
Aekku: Scout Commander Aekku
Juldarami: Bro I ain't even talked to you in 6 years and this is how you get in touch???
Aekku: Well you're the only person I can think of that might leave a machete at my house.
Juldarami: Wait is it a Ka-bar?
Aekku: Hold on Iâll look.
Aekku: Yes.
Juldarami: Okay yeah thatâs mine.
Juldarami: How have you not looked under the bed in 6 years??
Aekku: I feel like thats really not the most important question here

Febuwhump Day One: Rope Burn
This is gonna chafe.
It felt like a silly thing to worry about, sitting in the back of a transport vehicle, rough rope biting into his wrists, waiting to be taken to some spot by the enemy soldiers of Flower Hill. But the other things that could have been occupying Aekkuâs mind were so, so much more terrifying. And he could not be terrified right now. He had to get out, somehow. He could die in a lot of places, but heâd be damned if it was on Flower Hillâs execution block.
Okay, Aekku. Keep calm. Focus. There has to be some way out of here. There has to be. He looked towards the back of the transport vehicle. Smashing his way out through there was damn near impossible. Theyâd had the bright idea of using double doors, both locked. Perhaps if he climbed through too the ceiling? He could see a faint light of an emergency exit, that could potentially work. Though heâd need his hands free for that option.
He turned his attention to his wrists, tied together by a rough, thick rope. The kind that was difficult to cut through, even with a weasels sharp claws. Difficult, but not impossible. He shifted his wrists as much as he could in his restraints, trying to get his paw in just the right spot. He winced a little, hissing in pain at the friction. But he could power through and ignore it. Who knew how much time he had left before they got to wherever it was? He needed to work fast. If he could get his paw just a few more centimetersâŚ
That plan slammed to a halt around the same time as his transport vehicle did, and incidentally slammed his left shoulder into the side. He would have screamed if it werenât for the gag.
âPrisoner.â The door had opened, and a group of hedgehogs stood at the door. Rifles in paw. âCome forward.â
Like he had any fucking choice. Aekku scowled, but obliged. Held held high. Even if he couldnât escape, he wasnât about to give the bastards the pleasure of seeing him break down. If he was going out, heâd do so with his head held high.
The tip of the bayonet pushed him forward. He looked ahead, forcing himself to breathe. To be calm. To not worry about what happened next. It didnât matter. Maybe heâd lived long enough. Maybe he could get his bucket list done in another life. Maybe heâd be born away from this hellâŚ
âHalt.â
Aekku stopped. In front of him was not some kind of gallows or a brick wall like he was expecting. It was a prison cell. They wereâŚat a prison? Or some kind of containment facility. But why would they take put him in a cell? Why prolong his execution?
UnlessâŚ
No.
The guards from behind him pushed him forward, and he stumbled onto the ground. Someone cut the ropes that held his wrists, and they closed the door behind him. Aekku ripped off the gag they had tied on him, running up to the door and shaking the bars.
âIâm not giving you bastards anything! You hear me?! Not a damn thing!â He shook once more for emphasis. âYou can do whatever the hell you want! Iâm not going to tell you anything! You may as well kill me now!â
One of the hedgehogs stopped, then turned, glaring at Aekku darkly. âStronger soldiers than you have tried and failed to keep that promise. I suggest you donât hold onto your fool-hearted pride if you wish to receive the honor of a quick and painless death.â And with that he left.
Aekku glanced at his wrists. The skin had definitely been irritated. He could already feel the pain setting in, as the adrenaline faded. As he realized what was going to happen. Of fucking course. He was the Scout Commander after all. Why simply kill him when he wad much more valuable alive? Much more valuable as a source of information?
You canât interrogate a dead weasel.
There were rope burns on his wrist. It hurt. And he had no doubt in his mind that after a few weeks, that pain would seem like a dream compared to what was to come.

One small thing I recently thought ofâŚ
I think Commander Jogjebi
And Aekku
Are somehow related.
Not in the sense that I think theyâre like father/son or brothers. Depending on if theyâre the same age or if Jogjebi is a generation older, I think theyâre either first cousins or Aekku is Jogjebiâs nephew or something.
I have exactly one reason for this.
Jogjebi is aware that Aekku started a coupâŚand he doesnât immediately execute him for it.
Like Jogjebi orders an execution because someone implies he might not have the correct information, I think literal fucking treason should have gotten Aekku immediately executed. And the only reason I could think of for why he wouldnât be is that this would be detrimental to Jogjebi in some way. Like sparking some serious family drama.
#squirrel and hedgehog#headcanon#aekku#scout commander aekku#commander jogjebi#granted this doesnât explain why aekku is down for familialcide#but like#can you imagine#what the jogjebi family reunion must be like?

(Based on the notes in the original post)
I think it is more of I have a tendency to suddenly sit up and think of theories or a specific character and wonder about their motives, and then try to fit them with logic from both the show's canon with a deep dive, and also real life.
I mean, if The Pact was already planning to overthrow General Commander Jogjebi in a coup (and he suspected traitors forming coups as soon as Operation: Mole failed), then it makes sense to target the Guard Commander.
It is established in the Wolfspider Cave incident, that Geumsaegi is supposed to be one of the few in the Weasel Unit who knows certain codes for secret areas. Obviously, if you are forming a coup, you would want someone in that type of position (and other higher positions) to work for you, since they would be useful after the coup.
Which means having to find some sort of blackmail to use against him, if he can't be talked into it immediately. So the camera bugging finding out about Geumsaegi being a scout could have been just a stroke of luck for The Pact, especially since The Search Commander figured that he could still work with Geumsaegi being a scout for Flower Hill.
Of course, there was the issue of the scouts appearing in the early episodes. Jogjebi assumed Juldarami was dead when he dove into the water, but other weasels like Aekku, who should know how scouts work since he was the Scout Commander, would know that scouts often had backup, and if they did not find a body then it was likely he was alive and passing on information.
Which would suggest, of course, that there were Flower Hill scouts still in the Weasel Unit, and with the chaos of Operation: Mole, and the fact that they did in fact have field mice infiltrate Flower Hill disguised as squirrels, means it was entirely possible for Flower Hill to infiltrate in return by sending squirrels disguised as their field mice.
Which, to a Scout Commander, would make any field mouse that suddenly appeared and took the role of Guard Commander very suspicious. And since Aekku and Mulmangcho appeared to be close, they would have discussed this before bugging the camera, so Mulmangcho may have already suspected some things. That, or he knew the Guard Commander was a target they have have to get rid of or force to join.
Either way, I'll probably be exploring these ideas more in depth in the current fanfic, since it is an interesting plot to follow. Especially since either the records of a lot of mice were destroyed in Operation: Mole, so they aren't worried about it, OR Geumsaegi and Juldarami took the identities of the field mice (or any other mouse) they killed, and we don't know if those mice had families or anyone back home who could recognize them.

#like how closely does one have to look for their stories to fall apart?#although I'm sure they have backstories they can use with 'families' that can attest for them#a group scout groups needs 'assets' after all from the target country#squirrel and hedgehog#somewhat solved the problem with mine in the mice being forced to live in impoverished villages#that are occasionally all taken for the army by the weasels#which makes it hard for the weasel unit to investigate especially if he is around#they would need him out of the way for a bit to investigate...#sah#SaH

Character headcanon time! First one up is Scout Commander Aekku, because I said so. Some headcanons about this character killed way too soon imho.
His eye was definitely lost due to a traumatic injury. My personal best guess is that he was a war prisoner at some point and interrogations got ugly.
Definitely bi. Probably not very experienced with romance, but can and will charm any gender he pleases.
He probably does have a picture of his brother Geomeun among his personal affects, but hides it so he isnât perceived as âsoftâ.
Was probably a field agent at some point.
One reason he trusts Mulmangcho is that he knows the mouse does good work, he wouldnât have promoted him otherwise.
Also, he knows how frustrating it is to have all the evidence but the higher ups just donât believe you, and he would never put someone else in that position if he could help it.
He is pissed at Flower Hill mostly because of their holier-than-thou attitude. Like yeah, his sideâs not perfect, but at least theyâre not impaling people.
He definitely likes to occasionally tape the pictures of certain people heâs pissed at to his punching bag.
He secretly does feel guilty as fuck for Mulsajoâs death, and cursed himself for sending him off with grenades.
And, finally, his deepest desire at the end of the day is to be taken care of, and he sincerely doubts thatâs ever going to happen.
Let me know if you have any headcanons for him!

Helmets Again
I've been looking at the variation in helmets in the show, and seeing how they change over time, and what rank appears to be wearing what. I have a few drafts on how I am thinking of drawing them, based on comparing the helmets to real life and other helmets seen in media that appear similar.
Then I am comparing them to the head shapes.

For the first type of helmet, in the earlier episodes, the characters have more of an oval head shape as compared to the round heads later in the series. Hedgehog quills are also quite large in comparison to later, as well.
There does not appear to be a lot variation between the factions.
Easy enough to draw a circle or oval and a line across the top, and then a half circle where it meets on the sides, funny enough. Making another bit of a half circle over top for the rest of the helmet for where the straps come out (and erasing what doesnât match up anymore), and then making the chin area match up is a bit of a process, though, since it destroys the circle.
Although I don't know if creating a basic head and helmet shape for me to reference from now on is cheating somehow? I would still have to work fairly hard to avoid everyone having the exact same head shape, hair and quill type, and other similarities. I would still have to create side and back views as well.

Mice and weasels appear to keep this more more uncomplicated helmet throughout the series, if they don't have a hat. At least some of the soldiers appear to have a white stripe across the bottom, mostly the higher ranking members.
I want to say that these are all WW2 helmets, since WW1 Helmets have a noticeably wider rim.
Later, the Flower Hill Helmets get a stripe across the bottom, which allows for more designs, such as Scout Goseumdochi's camouflage leaf helmet.
Funny enough, some of the mice and weasels also have the criss-cross design.
One would think that Aekku, as the scout commander, would have a crossed helmet, but instead it is Chief of Staff, so it is not a camouflage design, at least for the Weasel Unit. It still might denote ranks, which brings into question why a seemingly regular mouse soldier would have one, unless he prefers to or is made to practice with those under him.
Later in the series, the heads are more round and easier to just draw a circle and go from there. The helmets, however, are more complicated, as they are PASGT and ACH helmets, and I don't like how loose they appear in real life (for ear pieces I guess, but the ears in the show are higher up and NO ONE wants to draw a helmet like that I think). They do remind me a lot of Warhammer 40K Cadia helmets, though, which are closer to the head, and there are tutorials and manuals on how to make those, which was fun.
The quills on the hedgehogs are a lot smaller as well, although I am not sure if it is because of the larger helmet, the smaller face, or both.
This is a nice reference photo, but when compared to the fanmade helmet, it kind displays that Commander Goseumdochi appears to tilt his head to a left a bit in certain scenes later in the series. If it is not an animation error then I wonder if he isn't slightly hard of hearing at this point, or if he just tilts his head when he is curious about something/concentrating intently.
On Flower Hill, it appears that helmet designs from the start of the series are still around, along with some other styles.
I previously talked about the amount of spikes on the helmet displaying a hedgehog's position in the military, with less spikes possibly meaning a higher rank. While the number of spikes, the ability to differentiate between hedgehogs and squirrels quickly in battle, and the possibility of combat are still possibilities, here, for this context, I suggest that the simpler helmet design denotes a lower rank, while the style with the elongated sides suggests a higher rank, and then those can be differentiated as well.
I am not sure why Juldarami appears to be wearing an ECH helmet in this scene, since those are primarily American from what I understand.

Also the headphones appear to be where a human would have ears, not a squirrel. I donât think itâs helmet material that is attached to the back.
Then again, as helmets became more modernized, they did get those flaps along the sides, up until later where some of the flaps were shortened and included headphone looking devices with the ECH. There are specialty headphones made specifically for blocking out loud and sudden gunshot sounds that still allow you to hear everything else around you. I assume those are them. I would also still assume that anyone wearing such a helmet would be considered lower rank on Flower Hill than an ACH since they would be closer to the action.
Hovever, this can all be debatable, and Commamders Darami and Goseumdochi have been known to slip into the field themselves, so they might have the more specialty helmet for that.
Anyway, I figure these helmets are drafts to start looking at making a consistent head and body style that I might like, instead of starting from the ground up every time, which takes weeks.
Reconstructing full side views and the ducks will come later.
Hedgehog quills are also the bane of my existence. I am working on trying to create a nice consistent style. Right now I have about a dozen or so quill styles I have been working on for the past few weeks, each on the earlier and later helmet styles. I'll post some of the some I like sometime later.
#squirrel and hedgehog#Otherwise it takes me weeks to create a simple full body picture#Apparently people can just make entire scenes in about 12 hours? Squirrel and Hedgehog polls

Ok!
So, I will be starting on the drafts for the shipping polls. Might take a few days, I will have to look up photos. Four Choices will be:
1.) Yes, I like this ship
2.) No, I do not like this ship
3.) I see them as Platonic
4.) I don't have any feelings for this ship/I have never thought about this/results
Some notes:
I have been watching on the official North Korean Youtube channel. In Operation: White Snow, the hedgehog scout is repeatedly referred to as Number 11, so I am assuming that he is a different character than the regular Scout Goseumdochi.
I am pretty sure we all agree that we do not ship Bamsaegi, Undochi, and S2 Mulori with the older characters (and I am assuming they are young adults in the show so it is ok to ship them together).
I have seen multiple people say that they do not see Flower Hill as monogamous, so liking one ship does not discount liking another. The first option in the poll could also include ideas of feeling like they may have had something in the past, but it is platonic now. I might make a multi ship poll later.
I cannot think of any ships involving Dr Dudeoji.
I also cannot think of any ships involving Uncle Gom, given how he thinks of the residents of Flower Hill as too small and weak.
Here is a rough draft I quickly made of the current list of ships I could think of, that will be in the polls. Please feel free to message me for any others.

I was wondering how the Flower Hill Commanders knew how to arrest Field Mouse Number 6, despite not really being given a description.

After all, he is disguised as a squirrel at the time.
but then I re watched the episodes in question as was reminded that Geumsaegi can easily pinpoint that while the tails look like squirrels, facially the mice do not look quite right if scrutinized. Plus, there is the fact that No. 6 is, for some reason, going back and forth between the Weasel Unit and Flower Hill, apparently. Even if they werenât looking at the muzzle of every individual squirrel, him leaving and returning so often would have been suspicious, so Flower Hill might have been watching him for a while.
Why could No. 6 not send a wireless or radio messages back and forth like Geumsaegi does? Does Flower Hill have better technology that could pick up said messages even if they were coded, and the Weasel Unit have weaker signals? Surely going back and forth was a huge risk? It was not as if he was serving as a messenger.
But I wonder how Flower Hill seemed to know about the field mice from the start?

Quite possibly, this guy again.
Flower Hill could have studied the physical appearance in the field/dormouse scout and compared them to a regular squirrel, and then used that to track down any mouse that could be in disguise.
Plus, given how the mouse was so willing to give away information, he might have already told them that there were others. His job was to basically report on if Flower Hill even had weapons to retaliate if attacked, so I doubt his loyalty would have been very high.
In fact, seeing that Flower Hill was actually strong could have encouraged him to turn traitor, if only to save his own hide.
But the mouse who gets captured in episode two and Field Mouse No. 6 must have known each other, since they both worked directly with General Commander Jogjebi.
But why would Jogjebi have his own set of scouts apart from Aekku? Did he already not trust the Scout Commander? Maybe the field mice with Jogjebi and the Special Corps are for short missions while Aekku is for longer infiltration missions.
I did think that it was interesting that Jogjebi would trust Geumsaegi so fast. But seeing his other scouts and the Special Corps., it does seem like Commander Jogjebi fully recognized the potential of mice that could be disguised as squirrels and liked to keep them close Ben before Geumsaegi.
#squirrel and hedgehog#field mouse number 6#Thereâs also the fact that Mulori is openly looking for âtellsâ for disguises in later episodes#but I think she is a disguise specialist herself so it may not count

OC: Octako Riley
NOTE: The lore takes place in my version of Squirrel and Hedgehog, mostly involving the Mt. Rock rebels.
Octako 'Ebiporo' Razilee. Mostly called Riley, they're a sergeant on the territory of Mt. Rock. 25 and a half years old.
Likely one of the first human-like persons to ever be in the renegade.
# Relationships
To Riley, Mangko is a pretty trustworthy Commander to them. Not necessarily close friends, but they're defintely friends with him for sure. His laugh annoys Riley a little, but they're mostly fine with it.
Mulmangcho.. Riley seems to like him, having even once went on a spy mission on Flower Hill, despite Riley themselves being a sergeant and their task is to supervise the troops. And yes actually, Riley tries their best to supervise Mulmangcho's arrest party properly.
Scout Commander Aekku is a major figure of the rocky mountain's rebellion. He and Riley are on decent terms, but he seems to prefer and favor Mulmangcho over everyone.
Kukori ;;;;; Riley's younger semi-sister with decent treatment.
# Abilities
Riley has a wide knowledge of combat, especially unarmed. They mostly wield 2 swords, but sometimes has to resort to guns and other such lethal force.
Let's say, they can and will throw a good punch towards whoever's annoying them and can get defensive. They're not admired by the entire Mt. Rock rebellion, knowing there's more skilled people than them. Riley also knows a bit of parkour as well.
If you're going to make a headcanon about Riley on your blog, make sure to tag it with #sgt octako, #octako riley and #riley octako .

Next chapter of The Rod That Blocks the Lightning should be ready in about two weeks or so. Unless I turn it into two chapters, depending on how it goes.
Also, after the first set of Squirrel and Hedgehog shipping polls, multiple people asked me to make another series of polls involving multi ships, and I promised that I would.
Under the cut is an incomplete list of multi ships I wrote down. I am not as thorough in this one because there are a lot of characters, and I am not sure how many people would would even ship characters who have never met in canon.
Please feel free to add more in the replies or the notes! I'll work on this once I get the next chapter or two up.
â˘I think most of us still see Uncle Gom as Ace at this point
â˘Commander Seungnyangi, Dr. Huinjogjebi, Vixen
â˘Commander Seungnyangi, Assistant Jogjebi, Vixen
â˘Commander Seungnyangi, Dr. Huinjogjebi, Commander Jogjebi
â˘Mangko, Aekku, S1 Chief of Staff (S1 Chief of staff knows Geumsaegi is a scout, but the S2 one does not react on that, so I assume they are different characters)
â˘Geumsaegi, Assistant Jogjebi, Vixen
â˘Geumsaegi, Commander Jogjebi, Dr. Huinjogjebi
â˘Geumsaegi, Juldarami, Scout Gosemdochi, Mulori
â˘Geumsaegi, Juldarami, Scout Gosemdochi
â˘Juldarami, Mulori, Geumsaegi
â˘Commander Gosemdochi, Commander Darami, Commander Mulori
â˘The wolf interrogators (assuming they are not brothers, since Mulmangcho is being interrogated by a similar group)
â˘Bamsaegi, S2 Mulori, Undochi (only with each other, since while they are logically adults, they are still younger than everyone else)
â˘Mulmangcho, Juldarami, Geumsaegi
â˘The mouse and Weasels from episode 10, A battle at Mount Rock
â˘S1 Mulori, Hedgehog Waitress, Rabbit guide
â˘Rabbit Guide, hedgehog waitress, Scout leader Gosemdochi/Number 11
â˘Auxiliary scout hedgehog (episode 24), Auxiliary Mulori (episode 24), Juldarami
â˘Dr. Dudeoji, Dr. Huinjogjebi, Geomeunjogjebi (the science group)
â˘Field mice 2, 6, and 8
â˘Field mouse 6 with Tokgasi members
â˘Search Commander, Commander Jogjebi, Special Corps Commander (these three seem very close in the first few episodes)
â˘Search Commander, Special Corps Commander, Aekku
â˘Commander Jogjebi, Geumsaegi, Juldarami

I think tomorrow will be the last of the planned Squirrel and Hedgehog poly shipping polls. It has been an interesting time!
Of course, once the polls tomorrow have been posted, if anyone has a poly ship you would like to see that we missed, please let me know and I will be happy to do them as well!
A big thank you to sah-headcanons for assisting me in the poly polls!
Now as for the previous polls:
Last year I started a series of shipping polls between pairs, but I had to cancel them partway through due to illness and some other issues. So, in a few months or so, I figure I could redo that section.
It would be fun to take a screenshot of the previous poll results and put them in the post so they can be compared to the current results! I know the demographics for certain ships have changed over the past year.
I will include a list of the ships that were posted last year under the cut. I would start from those and then work through all the characters.
Simple rules
Not shipping anyone who is related in the original North Korean version.
Do not threaten anyone because they are not interested in your ship.
Liking one ship does not discount from liking another.
Also, once again, while Bamsaegi, S2 Mulori, and Undochi have been through conscription and enough schooling to have careers, and should be at the very least young adults, they are clearly meant to appeal to younger viewers, and the ages are ambiguous enough that they will not be shipped with anyone other than amongst themselves.
Multiple different subs give a different name to the hedgehog from Operation: White Snow (Number 11, Scouting Officer), so I am assuming that this hedgehog is different from the regular Scout Goseumdochi.
More rules will be added later if needed.
Otherwise it should pretty much be fair game!

Ok, so this is my bad for not specifying which Search Commander, since I forgot there were two in S1 when I made the lists. There's the one in the early episodes that is killed, and there is the one who is the leader of the rebels in Wolfspider Cave. The latter does not even have a wikia page like the former does.
I don't ship this group as a polycule. The Search Commander and Special Corps Commander are very loyal to Commander Jogjebi, and investigate for Flower Hill scouts. Aekku is a traitor.
At the same time, I don't ship the Search Commander and the Special Corps Commander. The former is apparently one of the best soldiers in the Weasel Unit, and has many of the privileges Geumsaegi has for being close to Commander Jogjebi. The Special Corps Commander is just very loyal.
I could be tempted to ship the newer Search Commander with Aekku, though, given their leadership abilities. I've just never thought about it before.
Heading back to the command tower this week!
Search Commander, Special Corps Commander, and Aekku
