I hate this so much. So, information, I have a bad cold, brought by my brother when he came down for Christmas / New Year’s. That’s all fine and good, but the headaches are triggering eye phantom shifts. I feel like I have way too many eyes.

Bleh, I hate my Watcher form, yeesh. That many eyes has got to be ugly. Dunno how I looked though, I didn’t want to look in a mirror. I still startle away from them.

At least the cold is causing back pain too, so I just feel my wings. Maybe they look like my Watcher form’s ones too. I wish I could tell.

Yeah, everyone has scars from my Life Series ‘kins!

Though, everyone gained scars from their deaths, they usually didn’t pass between seasons. Usually only final death scars would past between the seasons, and nothing else, but they didn’t carry over to any other servers.

Soulbond scars were the worst though. They’d just appear if you weren’t the one getting injured in a way that scarred / dying.

A few stuck around: Grian - Well, other than final death scars, which healed really well for me, there was only one other that stuck around. Since the Life Series games didn’t follow normal rules, normal actions could scar within reason. So my fake soulbond with BigB did actually leave a scar over where my soulbond mark would have been? I can’t remember what it looked like though. Didn’t help the guilt either way.

Scott - Within Limited Life, I got a scar that stuck around, from I believe Martyn? It was an odd situation, since reasonably what happened should have just been a minor injury, but that’s just how Red Lives are I suppose. It was like a slash from a sword, over my left hip. Easy enough to pretend it didn’t exist.

Pearl - In both Secret Life and Double Life, I gained lasting scars that weren’t final death ones. In Secret Life it came from Gem spreading the Boogeyman Curse, and it’s healed quickly but it stuck around, even outside of the Life Series. For Double Life, I ended up getting bitten by one of my wolves, over where the soulbond mark was. A funny turn of events, really. I don’t mind it much, my fault for encouraging the destructive nature of my dogs.

Cleo / Gem - Again, Cleo was my partner in crime for Last Life, and Wild Life! I’m glad she was there for me. Gem is a similar situation, but for Secret Life. — Pearl

I think I just found out that I’m not just the Life Series versions of all my ‘kins? Like, I distinctly remember DDVAU / TTSBC events happening? Oh gods, this is not how I wanted to find out that I’m fictionkin of an au as well.

But that also means more memories with Scar, and Jimmy, and Gem, and I’m glad for that.

Overall, I’m… apprehensive but happy. I’m glad to have spent another reality with the guys I love. The people I miss.

-Grian kinshift, so the people I miss is mainly directed at Scar bc he’s the way I found out. Hotguy of all things is how I find out.

Dear Jimmy,

I really wish I could’ve done something to keep you safe. I wish I could’ve done more to protect you. You were always quite protective of me, and to be honest, I loved that. I loved that you would give up anything and everything for me, just like I would for you.

However, your selflessness did lead to many unfortunate demises — either that, or you lead yourself to an early demise, to which I’m not upset over. You were reckless at times, and to which, I did worry about you. A lot. I’ve never met someone as reckless as you were. Though, I wish I could’ve prevented your deaths. I wish I could’ve done more.

I loved you. You were my husband, and one of the best lovers I could’ve asked for. I’m glad we married some time after … what ever X Life was, and I’m glad I had you. You were my best friend. My partner. My flower husband. And I was (and still very much am) grateful that I was a part of your world as much as you were a part of mine. I just wish I could’ve kept you safe. I wish that none of those wars happened in 3rd Life. We deserved a happy life there, but I guess the After wasn’t so bad.

Having friends who understand fictionkin is good and all, but it doesn’t fill the gap that I have for my friends (and other relations) of the past. I wish I could see them again, in better times than the Life Series gave us.

But, I can’t do that, we can’t go back. And, I wish I didn’t miss it. The bloodshed, the anger, the betrayals, but we were together then, and I’d do anything to have my people again.

This isn't something I like talking about, but it's an important point. I like my wings well enough, but there were so many times that it felt that they were only there to be used as some sort of penance. So many times I had seriously considered pinioning them, or just straight up cutting them off. Guilt related, mainly, feeling I didn't deserve them after everything I had done (especially towards causing Scar's deaths and stuff)

Maybe I still don't deserve them.

(I know that Scar - or at least the Scar I know - @goodkinswithscar wouldn’t agree tho lol)

So, I have been following @/wassup-its-e for a while, and it turns out, their designs are extremely accurate to how I remember each ‘me’ being? (Grian, Scott and Pearl)

Obviously this doesn’t apply to DDVAU me, those designs are by @/kitsuneisi.

So! I know what I looked like. And, I’m, for once, not sad about missing what I used to be. Because, I can see me.
