Spent the last couple of evenings trying to capture the unbelievable atmosphere I experienced while taking the train through the Cairngorms National Park yesterday...
You wouldn't know it from my output, but I've been doing a lot of landscapes recently and it's been very satisfying. Now I just need to get more of them in a position where I feel I can share them!
Reference photos under the cut:
What I wouldn't have given for all of the train lights to suffer from spontaneous failure, HONESTLY........ still, these photos got me part of the way, and then it was vibes and hastily-written phone notes:
"Red-pink glow reflected in the ice of a river as the sun sets behind the mountain. Banks of mist, snow on the ground"

#landscape#scotland#cairngorms national park#winter#scotrail#(lol)#caraart#sharing this in the dead of night to stop myself procrastinating on it any longer#one day I'll have a proper posting schedule but today is not that day

After months of taking the bus, I'd forgotten how much I loved trains.

So I want to start shipping the different train operating companies together:
Let me start off with Scotrail. I think that Scotrail is definitely Aro Ace. She is happy doing her own thing, and live in a cold hut in the middle of the snow and the heavy winds. Both LNER and Avanti keep approaching Scotrail but Scotrail is completely uninterested in their approaches and wish that they would leave her alone.

Scotland By Train
One of the nice things about visiting Scotland is that they have an extensive train system to transport people around most of their major cities with ease- no cars needed. This is especially convenient as Scotland drives on the left side of the road, and I’m much more comfortable driving on the right! ScotRail The main train network throughout the country is operated by ScotRail. You can look…

ScotRail - Your ticket goes further than you think
The campaign showcases an array of destinations and experiences, from rugged outdoor adventures and wild beaches to pretty seaside towns, historic cities, and cultural landmarks. This sends an important message that there’s something for everyone in Bonnie Scotland.
The clever tagline, “Your ticket goes further than you think”, has a double meaning. It encourages domestic travel by emphasizing the accessibility of all these destinations via the ScotRail network. And it also frames train journeys as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way to explore this diverse and spectacular country.

I left my suitcase, containing multiple sonic screwdrivers, much of my DW collection and DAVID'S AUTOGRAPH, on a train.
I've already filed lost and found and I'm going to travel to the stations tomorrow to see if the left luggage depts found it. Station staff said there's nothing more I could do. Has anyone had any experience with ScotRail lost and found? I just feel so bloody stupid, gosh.
