Remington Model 510 Serial Number

Where is the serial number on a Remington 511? Only the early 511's had serial numbers. It was stamped on the underside of the barrel, just in front of the forearm. It is indeed a 1941 or a 1963 model. Where is the serial number on a scoremaster 511? The Scoremaster 511 has a 25' barrel, a one piece hardwood stock, and a blued metal finish. There are no serial numbers on the model 510s. Serial numbers weren't required until 1968 the model 510 was last produced in 1962. The 478 is in the serial # location Rem stamped on the M/510 through 1941. Your date code might be LH. The L would mean February. The H would stand for 1939. Here is some information that you can get from you serial number after 1921 Remington's manufactured after 1921 have a code located on the left side of the barrel near the frame that identifies the year and month of manufacture. 0006 0006 Answer Do you have the correct model #? 0006 0006 I am not aware of any Remington.22 rifle with a 672 designation. Unless there is a very late model from Remington with th at model number, I believe you are referring to their model 572 rifle.
Remington Model 510 Parts
The M/572 was a PUMP repeater that was initially produced in the 1950's, in various grades and is, or was until the last year or two, still being manufactured. Serial numbers were not required on.22 rifles up until December of 1968, when the infamous 'Gun Control Act of 1968' was passed. If you do indeed actually have a model 572 PUMP rifle, and you can not find the serial number, you most likely have a unit manufactured prior to 12/68, since all M/572 rifles with serial numbers have them very plainly stamped on the side of the receiver. Rote
Often I feel I'm writing basically the same thing over and over again. Then, somehow, people like one thing over another. This confuses me, and I condensed this confusion into a story.
[Second verse, same as the first. But no-one likes the first one]
The wall stretched off a very long way in both directions. For all anyone knew, it may have stretched on forever; no-one had ever bothered to check one way or another. As far as Rote was concerned it was infinite, and while they had marked every point up to where they now were, they knew they had a considerable distance still to go. So, bucket of red paint in one hand and paintbrush in the other, they gritted their teeth, girded their loins and moved along to the next blank space of wall.
Spacing the work apart was easy. The wall, infinite as it was, was composed of infinite sections slotted together. Each section was slim enough to accommodate one piece of work, and so each section got one. This was simple. Dipping the brush into the paint Rote stepped up and with the sort of careless ease that comes from endless practise swept the brush out and left a big, red ‘X’ across the stained concrete. They then stood back, and prepared for what they knew was going to happen next.
A few moments passed as the two hangers on studied the latest piece of work, their face inscrutable. They hummed and hawed, squinted and tilting their heads as their opinions solidified.
“I don’t like this one,” said the Falconer with arms folded across their breast “it isn’t your best work. I much preferred some of your older stuff.” An arm unfolded to sweep in the general direction of the wall Rote had already attended to. An endless stream of X’s disappeared off out of view and over the horizon. All were identical.
“See? The Falconer said, as if this demonstrated something quite specific “that’s much more you. Much more what I expect.”
Rote wasn’t sure if they were missing something or if there was nothing to miss in the first place. Some paint dripped from the end of the brush and splattered onto boots long-since stained permanently red. The Cooper – who had been quiet up until this point, deep in thought – wagged a finger above their own crossed arms and shook their head towards the Falconer. The Falconer frowned, but remained quiet to see what their compatriot had to say as they moved up to the wall and pointed to the still-fresh X.
“I must disagree with you, my well-learned companion. I think this latest effort demonstrates a level of growth we haven’t yet encountered. Certain elements hinted at in earlier works have come to the fore, and themes commonly touched upon are approached with fresh vigour. I believe this is one of the best we’ve seen,” they said, tears marking their cheeks. They were not their tears. The Falconer scoffed and strode forward to gesticulate wildly.
“Are you quite serious my good Cooper? Are we looking at the same wall? Look at the up! The down! The way they meet in the middle! No, this is sub-par work and no mistake. To say otherwise is madness!” They stood back, as though this would settle anything. The Cooper certainly did not agree with this assessment and pulled out a hefty hardback book to better reinforce whatever point he might have felt like making. The book was blank of course, and the pages were glued shut anyway, and it was also a cardboard prop blatantly stolen from a furniture shop, but it was more about the principle of the thing anyway.
“Ah, this I think is the problem. You and I are approaching this from quite different angles. You look and you see where the up meets the down, whereas I look and I instead see where the down meets the up. This literally turns the work on its head, I think you will find. This change in context is what adds the depth, and underlines the importance.”
“I’m afraid I must disagree with you. It is dreck from any angle, and that is just the way it is. It speaks poorly of its creator and fills one with dread for the next in the series if this is the direction it is taking. I, for one, am deeply offended on a personal level and feel my life is poorer for knowing that this is exists in the same world as myself,” The Falconer said.
“I find your hyperbole particularly Nazi-ish, and you are in many ways like Hitler,” the Cooper riposted in classic technique. Somewhere, some distance away, The Scoremaster tallied up another Hitler point to the Grand Total. The Scoreboard groaned under the weight of them, and the burly men straining to keep it upright with guide-wires and pulleys grunted and strained to maintain position.
“And the same to you,” the Falconer said. They then both turned to Rote and blinked in perfect unison.
Rote’s shoulders slumped and they shuffled along to the next section. Dipping for fresh paint, they whipped up another X without thinking and stood back to weather whatever came next. After studying it for a few moments the two hangers on threw up their arms – the Falconer in exultation, the Cooper is expaseration.
“See, this! This is much more like it! This is more you!” The Falconer said, beaming from ear to ear.
“And you were doing so well. So well. Thrown it all away now. Shameful. How could you betray yourself like this?” The Cooper asked, shaking their head. Rote said nothing. They had long ago learnt there wasn’t really any point in saying anything.
The paint from the X dripped down to the base of the wall exactly as it had done on the last one. Because it was exactly like the last one.
And the one before it. And the one before it. And the one before it. And the one before it.
