If you were going to add an episode to Teen Wolf, what would it be about?

Oh i so got u bestie; i have so many thoughts about a bonus episode in between Codominance and Sword and the Spirit (5x13 to 5x14)!! The overarching theme of the episode would be trust—how it's been broken, how it's been healed, who you choose to put your faith into (and why), etc.

A-Plot

Scott seeks out, finds, and confronts Deucalion, in response to discovering Theo is looking for him at the end of Codominance. I think you could still keep the tension of whether or not Deucalion is double crossing Scott or triple crossing Theo, and then that final showdown will feel less out of nowhere

The main people involved here would be Scott, Kira, and Stiles, as Kira processes what all happened with the skinwalkers, particularly re: her test, and gets some closure between her & Scott re: her fox

In order for it to make sense that she goes back to the skinwalkers after Codominance highlighted how much she doesn't want to be with them, this episode would have to do some groundwork of her realizing she wasn't in control when she killed the oni and "beat" the test. We see her break her sword in the next episode, so i think maybe she should try to use it again in this one—and fail. This provides some really interesting stakes for Eichen & Scott's faith in her

Also i think scira deserve a talk about scott lying to her, and feel like this could be related to the crater in his chest he also won't talk about. I think his trust in Eichen could really elevated if Scira had a scene where Scott tells her the truth about just how big her fox is, and he trusts her not only with that information, but that she can still do it

Also also Scott and Stiles actually talk about Scott dying for heaven's sake!!! We needed it so bad and I think this would be a good time for it, especially as Kira finds out about it for the first time. Then we get a sciles hug bc i said so

How their varied fears of the nogitsune vs kira's kitsune plays in very heavily here, too

Ahem so anyway this resolves with a tense scene between Scott & Deucalion where you're really not sure if you can trust him at all, and afterwards Scott is worried he's making a bad call—and Stiles says it's okay, because he doesn't trust Deucalion, he trusts Scott, and Kira follows him up by saying that either way, this time, the pack will be there to back him up.

B-Plot

I hate Eichen so bad but I think it would've helped if Lydia had had scenes with Valack when she's more cogent/given more agency—maybe something that clarifies what he was doing with Peter at the end of s4 and how that led to her?

I feel like this would have to be in a mindscape, same as she has with Meredith, so Lydia is able to respond coherently/isn't just a prop to talk at

This could also clarify some of Valack's goals/motivations more concretely and foreshadow Lydia's victory over him in Lie Ability

C-Plot

Instead of Theo telling Malia he'll help her at the end of Codominance, their arc would be drawn out over the episode. This would heighten the tension of her having to depend on him, while allowing her to wrestle more explicitly with whether or not she's looking so she can kill the Desert Wolf, or to save Deaton

At the same time Scott is reckoning with his death, Theo is reckoning with Scott's resurrection—prompted, perhaps, by Corey having realized Scott was scared of Theo in the tunnels, the same way Corey was scared of Scott

Misc

I'd love a scene with Liam & his Dad—a werewolf reveal, preferably, +Liam processing his choices re: Scott & Hayden with someone that loves him, but is removed enough from the situation to comment on Liam's responsibility

I could get a Deaton & Corinne scene, as a Treat<3

list 3 positive things about your current fandom(s)? A lot of material to work with considering we have to fill in gaps. Multiple characters to use. Lost of works to explore and plus there’s so many head canons that you can get lost and have a whole day to fill. 😂 they finished the show too. I will add that. Some shows get canceled.

A head cannon you weren’t sure about at first but you have come to like?

Liam not being able to cook. It sounds silly but at first I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and I enjoy the thought of Theo being the cook and perfectionist with it.

a character that fandom has helped you appreciate?

Derek Hale. LISTEN. Don’t come for me. Originally I didn’t like Derek because he was mean to Scott at first and I didn’t like how he threw Isaac out of the loft with no place to go. 😤 however, I’ve come to the conclusion through the fandom that he has grown and he went through a lot. He also did come back to help Scott.

Scott ran away not long after being bitten by Peter. Three years later, Noshiko Yukimura seeks out the True Alpha and his pack to protect her daughter from an old enemy.

The world building in this au is impeccable. The characters are perfection. I love this fic so much.

This is the Scott whump fic I literally asked for and the scira of it is soooooo good. I know mem is working terribly hard on the ending, but it's absolutely worth anyone's time, with or without the final chapter.

Derek really had to stop being surprised by people showing up at his loft at all hours. He’d made sure that his pack knew that his doors were always open. Apparently they’d all taken it to heart and they’d all taken it literally.

But still, Stiles shuffling his way into the loft at 2:30 in the morning with his pillow tucked under his arm was a new one.

“I can’t sleep,” Stiles said by way of greeting. “Can I sleep here?”

“Uh,” was Derek’s very articulate response. “Sure?”

Stiles made a beeline straight to the couch. “Awesome.”

Derek closed the loft door and followed him at a slower pace. “Are you…having nightmares again?”

Stiles looked up from where he was getting comfortable on the couch. “What? No. I’m voluntarily sexiling myself. Scott and Kira are, uh, the opposite of quiet. Which is even worse when they’re trying to be quiet.”

Derek stared at him. “It’s two-thirty in the morning.”

“I know.”

“Why are they having sex at two-thirty in the morning?”

Stiles shrugged. “I don’t have a clue, dude. Werewolf-kitsune stamina thing? Bad decision making skills? Scott’s just that lucky?”

“It’s not even a weekend,” Derek said.

“Believe me, I know,” Stiles said. “Hence the reason I am here, because maybe, just maybe, I’ll be able to get more than three hours of sleep before I have to be up for work.”

Stiles was a better person than Derek was. Derek would’ve thrown Scott out of the damn apartment. “Well, feel free to crash here. My couch is your couch.” 

“Thanks, dude.” Stiles yawned and flopped back on the couch, burying his face in his pillow. “This might actually be more comfortable than my bed.”

“Definitely quieter at this point, apparently,” Derek said.

Stiles huffed a laugh into his pillow and then lifted his head. “You asked if I was having nightmares.”

Derek stiffened and debated how to answer. Stiles had had nightmares, although they were much less frequent now, and Derek knew what it was like to be unable to sleep from that.

Stiles grinned. “Were you worried about me, big guy?”

Derek sighed and crossed his arms. “Well, I’m not now.”

Stiles dropped his head back to his pillow. “I appreciate that. I worry about you, too, you know.”

“I know,” Derek said quietly.

He and Stiles had gravitated toward each other for a variety of reasons. Originally it hadn’t been by choice; Derek had been trying to keep Scott from getting killed and Stiles, with the same goal, had jumped into the supernatural world with both feet. But over the years, that had changed. Stiles was the first person Derek went to when he needed help with any supernatural research or planning, and just for…fun. When he wanted someone to share dinner with or go to a movie or just hang out. And, if he wasn’t mistaken, he’d become Stiles’s go-to person for the same things.

Derek wasn’t sure what it meant. Or rather, he had some idea of what it meant, and he wasn’t sure how to proceed.

“Thanks again for letting me crash here, Derek,” Stiles said.

Derek nodded. “Any time,” he said, and meant it.

It felt like they were both on the cusp of something, but edging around the periphery of it right now. That was fine with him. He’d rushed into too many things in his life, and regretted most of them.

This…whatever this was with Stiles, it was worth waiting for.

Neither of them had very high expectations; the first year, Stiles completely forgot about it, and it didn’t even enter Malia’s radar as something to watch out for until that morning when they arrived at school to see the hallways decked out in pink. The second year, both of them remembered. They had a calendar hanging up in the kitchen of their college apartment together, and Stiles carefully drew in a heart on February 14th. They were both a little bit broke, so they decided ahead of time that they were going to go low-budget.

This year, though, neither of them feels so good about doing the bare minimum, because this year, they have a Scott.

While I enjoyed every story, this last one- a Scott in the middle polyship with sub Scott??? Yeah. This one is my favorite. <3 :D

“Take a deep breath—wait, do you breathe?”

Scott slumps—or at least, she thinks he slumps. She doesn't know what else to call the way his body flops back against his back legs.

She doesn't know what's wrong with him. One minute he'd been fine, and the next he was stumbling to the restaurant's bathroom on the precipice of an uncontrolled shift.

They barely got him in before he was crab on the floor.

Now, he just waves a claw feebly in the direction of the sink.

Kira scoops him up lightning fast, though she's careful to not actually use lightning, and carries him to the basin.

"Does temperature matter?" she asks. "Hot? Cold? Do you need—salt? Scott?"

He's getting worse.

Scott's eye stalks sag to the left. Then after a second, the right. Then back to the left.

She's taking that as a no.

"Okay then I'm just going for it," she says, pushing both sides of the faucet all the way on.

The effect is instantaneous, as Scott practically vibrates under the water and drags his claws across his face.

After a few seconds, Scott scuttles out of the sink, apparently fine, and drags his clothes into a stall.

Human feet appear and Kira sighs in relief. "So it was oxygen?"

"Sort of," Scott pants. "Pollen got blown in my face. Crabapples."

Kira's eyes narrow, and she pulls out her belt sword as Scott comes out the stall, fully dressed and breathing.

Someone's gonna pay.

Kira leans against the wall of the school. They're wearing black leather, tight pants, halter top and jacket, knee length boots. They hold her sword loosely in her right hand, flashing Theo a grin.

Their eyes find Theo's hands covered in blood. The girl inside of her rages, realizing it belongs to Scott. On this, they are in perfect agreement. Snarling they attack, slamming this chimera that dares to summon them back to this world against the cement sidewalk.

It's the absence of fear that stays their hand. The faintest hints of despair bubble up in this creature. Delicious. Divine. A pain this exquisite deserves to be savored. They brush her hand along his face. Press her lips to his until they taste blood.

"Why don't you kill me?" Theo gasps, wheezing as they pull away.

"Monsters are always hungry," Kira answers, pressing a bloody kiss to Theo's cheek. "Darling."

WHAT IS IT?

Scottuary, or Scott + February, is a Scott appreciation event running from Feb 1-Feb 28, 2022. The goal is to get as many Scott-centric, Scott-positive fics posted throughout the month of February to boost the tag & show our appreciation.

HOW DO I PLAY?

To submit a work, simply write for one of the prompts and post your work to the Ao3 collection—write five fics in any direction, up, down, diagonal, or four corners + free square for bingo! The event runs throughout the month of February, during which you may write as many fics or as few fics as you like! Once you’ve posted it, share it with us on tumblr using the #scottuary2022 tag, or mention us at @scottappreciation.

All fics must be Scott-centric and Scott-positive. Scott does not need to be the POV character, but the primary focus of the fic should be Scott’s emotions/interests/needs/etc.

No character bashing, or hate of any kind, is accepted for this event. NSFW materials are fine as long as they are tagged appropriately and the author is 18+, but please no depictions of noncon at this time.
