I'm be honest I just really wanna see them parodying mega musicals which were already chaotic enough lol it doesn't need a storyline it's not like a lot of the 80s musicals had one just give me a third season of the actors being stupid theater kids for a few episodes 🥲

Schmigadoon really seemed like it wrapped up with the end of season 2, all the characters got their happy beginnings, everything’s great—however kindly screw that I would still like a season 3 pretty please.

I’m not saying to give Melissa and Josh another crisis I’m just saying that there’s no reason they shouldn’t be able to justify another season of them playing with their fun musical friends.

Hell, bring the kid to schmigadoon! Fun for the whole family.

Wood Engraving Wednesday

THÉO SCHMIED

The French painter and illustrator Pierre Brissaud (1885-1964) was commissioned to produce watercolor illustrations for the 1950 Limited Edition Club (LEC) production of Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary. The watercolors were turned over to the workshop of master French wood engraver Théo Schmied (1900-1985) to be reproduced for the edition as these remarkable, multi-block color wood engravings.

Schmied's Swiss-born father François-Louis Schmied (1873-1941), also a wood engraver and formally trained in the book arts, established his Paris workshop in 1910 to produce deluxe, illustrated limited editions. Théo Schmied took over the management of his father's workshop beginning in 1924 and inherited the business after his father's death.

This edition was designed by Francis Meynell of the Nonesuch Press in London, with the text composed in Monotype Ehrhardt at the Curwen Press under the supervision of Ernest Ingham and printed letterpress at the Marchbanks Press in New York on specially-made paper bearing the title of the book as watermark by the Curtis Paper Company of Newark, Delaware. The edition is limited to 1500 copies signed by Pierre Brissaud.

Walzing Mathilde truly has it all: Bechermann stellt einen echten Herzinfarkt fest, versteckte Kameras in fremden Schlafzimmern, ein neu zugezogener Ossi, den alle mobben, obwohl der wirklich einfach nur nett ist, Jochen und Sophie, die beschliessen, zusammenzuziehen, nebenbei bonden Jochen und Zielonka über ein PC-Game namens Tutanchamuns Fluch, Bärbel verliebt sich in eine Frau und kommt damit nicht klar bis ausgerechnet Heike of all people sie tröstet, und am Schluss stellt sich heraus, dass Zielonka die ganze Zeit Jochen verarscht und erfolgreich die Beziehung von Sophie und Jochen sabotiert hat, weil "Mein Sohn kommt demnächst aus Canada zurück!"

“Yes, I do apologize, Schmi. Had I known you were comming Anakin tonight, I would’ve reserved an office space.” General Kenobi says as he strolls out of the kitchen, further in the back of the apartment. He’s carrying a tray with a tea set and some cups on it to a seating arrangement of two couches, a coffee table, and a lounge chair to his left at the other end of the room.

The general’s outfit is different from what he’s used to. Instead of his usual Jedi robes he’s wearing tight fitting clothes designed for lounging in a home, or to sleep in. It’s quite like his blacks, except the generals under tunic is light beige and his pants a warm brown, and quite flattering. It’s remarkable how much curve and muscle those Jedi robes hide day to day. Not that he pays attention to any of that… of course not. That’s not something a commander should ever pay attention to.

“Oh no you don’t have to go through the trouble, Obi-Wan. I won’t be long, I just wanted to check in.” Schmi says.

“I’m fine, mom. Nothing much has changed since my knighting. It’s just a steady stream of assignments.”

“And the usual shenanigans.” Cal cuts in, earning a glare from Skywalker.

“Is that so?” Schmi laughs.

“You know how Cal is, mom.”

“Hmmhmm. Commander? Might I see you for a minute?” Schmi says.

He hesitates, his eyes darting to general Kenobi for guidance or support. Kenobi offers no help whatsoever, instead he pours himself a cup of tea and sips it. His eyes meeting his own while a smirk plays at his lips. He’s enjoying himself a little too much in his opinion, all he can do is make sure it’s warranted.

He smiles as charming and warm as he can muster, which has an instant effect on Skywalker in that the general seems to be questioning all of his life choices. And has an instant effect on Kenobi, who’s eyes linger on him just a second too long for it to be accidental. Interesting.

“Madam,” He says as he steps into view of Schmi Skywalker. She seems like a lovely lady, really. Nothing like her son, both in appearance or personality, that’s for sure.

“Oh. I see why you invited him over, Obi-Wan.”
