I have to say, I really identify with Tom Scott’s neuroticism and need to explain his thought process/the steps he and Sam will have to take on Schengen Showdown

just finished watching episode 5 of schengen showdown(spoilers ahead) and i have so much to say like omg!

i feel like both teams sorta biffed it a bit this episode! starting with tom and sam, i feel like they were right in forfeiting the sweden challenge because waiting that long for ikea to open was just not practical that being said i definitely felt that they panicked after that and wanted to do the denmark challenge as soon as they could which sorta led them to be a bit impulsive when choosing a lego set! i feel like if they had just spent more time looking for a set that was quick and easy(and they literally found something later), they could have completed it! it was heartbreaking for me to see them attempt the lego challenge and not succeed ngl!

now onto badam- i am always rooting for my boys, but i knew from the first episode that they were gonna wanna steal netherlands(see my episode 1 post tags) and fail! im glad they found christmas rose but if they literally had looked for a florist(asked around or looked around) instead of touching a random flower which sets of their timer then they would have atleast had a shot! cause like they've spent the first 10 mins of the challenge just running!

that being said, they were both really hard challenges, so i don't wanna come off as too harsh while judging them! these were just my thoughts on how they could've increased the odds of them getting it!

going forward, i really like sam and tom's strategy of getting as many countries as they can as opposed to badam's strategy to just steal cause they aren't guaranteed to get anything outta that! maybe this is what wins sam and tom the game who knows!

i was 90% sure that team badam would win ever since listening to the first episode of the layover because while sam, ben and adam have mastered talking about the show without giving anything away, tom on the other hand was justifying his and sam's decisions in a way that made me oh so sure he felt a need to explain how he tried his best but lost anyway
