☆🎀 How to dress like Taylor Momsen! 🎀☆
I haven't written a how to dress like post so I figured it was time to do another one! I'm mainly going to focus on her style in the late 2000s and early 2010s since those are my favourite times for her style.
☆ Early The Pretty Reckless (2008-2009):
During The Pretty Reckless's early days, Taylor's style was very different, but still pretty different. I think her style might have had a little Courtney Love/kinderwhore influence, while still being ery edgy. She would still mostly wear dresses, but she would go for baby doll dresses rather than her later bodycon dresses.
Her main stage staples besides baby doll dresses were leather jackets and black boots. I noticed she also wears a rosary in most photos from this time. For her street style, she almost never wore pants and would instead usually opt for oversized shirts that she would wear as dresses, mini skirts, and shorts. She'd usually wear these with things like flannels, black jackets, and sometimes lacey tights.
☆ Light Me Up (2010-2012):
This is definitely the most iconic era of her style. During this time, she would pretty much only wear dresses, especially on stage. Most of her stage outfits were sleeveless bodycon dresses with thigh highs, garters, and platform heels. Some other staples from this era were oversized t-shirts, flannels, and leather jackets.
She would also accessorise a lot with things like spikey chokers, long necklaces, and plain black bracelets. There are also a few pictures where she's wearing corsets and patent buckle Demonia boots.
☆ Going To Hell (2013-2015):
This was the album cycle where she seemed to be trying to tone down her style a little, but I still really like this era so I'm including it anyway. Unlike during the band's previous eras, Taylor had a much more casual style and hardly ever wore dresses. She mainly wore skin tight leather pants, racerback tank tops, studded belts, leather jackets, heeled or platform boots, and big sunglasses.
This was also the era that her iconic safety pin cross shirt came from, so anything with crosses on it is also a good choice.
That's it, byeee!!!
