rp  pet  peeves  /  dealbreakers:  cutting posts is a main one but it’s not like a deal breaker. godmodding is something i do hate as i write a lot of canon characters and people have before told me how to react. pet peeve is a forced friendship. i’m very chemistry muse so i like to start things as if they know nothing about each other.

fluff,  angst,  or  smut:  angst is my go to cause i’m a goblin but fluff is a vibe too.

plots  or  memes:  memes are easier as i can vibe and see where the thread goes but i’m not against plots!

long  or  short  replies: i’m a mix but i tend to do a minimum of a paragraph and then match my partner. i also do let my muse say as much as they want.

Her skills lie in books and knowledge. Not leadership. “I just...I am so excited!”

these verses are suitable for interactions in general fantasy universes. the kingdom of meles is beautiful, lush, and storied. it sits on the eastern coast of drage, a continent it shares with six other kingdoms. raised in this land of shaded forests, rolling hillsides, fertile riverlands, and breathtaking coastline, elsie scatterflow has a deep passion for life. she is the third child of meles’ royal family, behind heir apparent flynn and soon - to - be guard captain ciar, and followed by studious ashea and dreamy gemma. meles has an ancient and powerful magic which the royal family is bound to. they are its protectors, its caretakers, as much as they are those things for their people. alternately :  the “kingdom” of meles ( an honorary designation, as this version of meles no longer has a king of its own ) is one of six vassal states owing allegiance to drage’s central kingdom of satria, and its high king. meles has been remanded into the care of the noble family scatterflow, of which elsie is the third child. the scatterflows used to be kings and queens in their own right. while that history makes them a threat to the current way of things, their bond with meles’ magic makes it next to impossible to replace them. they are as part of the ecosystem; to preserve the balance of kingdoms, you must control meles and to control meles, you require the scatterflows. heavily affiliated with @traumadcmp​, who writes elsie’s siblings flynn, ciar, and ashea.

𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄.

tl;dr   ...   centuries after one member of the royal scatterflow family escaped death at the hands of the tastoni family, who usurped the throne of their princedom of meles, the surviving descendants lived in hiding on a farmstead in the neighboring princedom. when finally discovered, they split into three groups and flee in opposite directions; elsie and her older brother flynn seek refuge in the walled city of estralia, finding it in an artisan’s workshop. a network of rebels smuggles them to the opposite coast when their location is compromised, reuniting them with two of their three siblings and putting them on a ship that will take them somewhere beyond the reach of the tastonis, where they can train and prepare to reclaim their homeland. at this point, she can travel to most fantasy worlds while remaining within her canon. this is my default for most interactions.

elsie has never lived as a princess. her family lost their official position during the invasion 800 years ago. she knows her family’s history, however. 

elsie is one of five siblings. her older brothers, flynn and ciar, are twins; flynn is older by a handful of minutes. she has a younger sister, ashea, and then a youngest sister, gemma. when they leave the shores of their continent, ashea is not with them. they do not know where she is or if she is alive.

flynn is heir apparent to the throne of meles, following the deaths of their parents over the course of their story. he is referred to by the title crown prince. 

the rebel network assisting the scatterflows is called “the daughters”. they take their name from a legendary group of rebels in the land’s cultural mythology, and see themselves as a continuation of this same group.

magic exists, and elsie has it! in her world, magic is as common as wind and sunshine and grass, and is embedded into everything about the natural world. harnessing it for one’s conscious, intentional use is slightly more uncommon, but not at all ‘rare’. elsie possesses elemental ( water ) manipulation, precognition and postcognition, and intuitive sensitivity ( referred to as “knowing” ).

❝ we’ve come to ask for sanctuary... ❞   though elsie has stepped forward to speak for the group of travelers gathered in the foreign throne room, she doesn’t hesitate to look back towards them for assistance.  ( gods, she’ll never get used to introducing herself as princess elsie scatterflow. )  furrowed brow is all that asks the question, but she receives a whispered response nonetheless and turns back to address the  dragon queen  correctly with a confident,   ❝ your grace. ❞   she feels dwarfed by the pyramid, by the dais raised so high in front of them. she feels dwarfed by the air of intensity radiating from daenerys. she doesn’t know anything about the woman beyond the fact that she rules here, but she thinks perhaps they have a shared tragedy; a common origin.  it’s a knowing.  the certainty with which they come to her never fails to surprise her but she takes it in stride, because her family’s safety is infinitely more pressing.   ❝ our family is being hunted to extinction, and we’ve come a long way to escape. we need to rest before we can go much further. we will cause you no trouble. ❞

LORE EDITS : THE ORACLE !

while flynn, born under a chalice moon, serves as meles’ vessel, elsie has a significant role of her own. the sight is a strange and uncomfortable gift. it is also wildly unpredictable and no one is completely sure how the magic decides who will be born into it. when a scatterflow is born with the sight, they are called to become meles’ oracle. this is a position that stands between the realm and danger. elsie’s dreams and visions often foretell calamitous events, and many of them lead to her direct intervention. being the oracle has made her a warrior whether she has the stomach for it or not; she will always act to protect her kingdom, her people, and her family. she is also innately in tune with the imprint of history and is learning to use her gift to peer through the veil of time backwards. the consumption of certain substances may induce visions, but she frequently has them unprompted. she struggles to remember most of them, but is compelled to record them as they are occurring, which seems to be an instinctual mechanism developed to ensure their preservation.    /    for elsie’s royalty and nobility verses, and frequently adapted into other verses as well.

VERSE EDITS : FIVE CROWNS !

thousands of years ago, the land on which seven princedoms now sit was conquered. time and history have blended the people so much that these old distinctions mean less... but never nothing. the central princedom of satria holds the most power and its most prominent families have a nearly unbroken lineage; it is not the only princedom for which this skewed system of power exists. eight hundred years ago, the coastal princedom of meles saw its ruling family nearly wiped to extinction by their southern neighbors. power was seized from a bloodline that had guarded their people for tens of thousands of years. meles’ scatterflows were driven into hiding as demana’s tastonis solidified their extended reach. now, for elsie scatterflow, these are just stories and secrets. things she can never share. until the tastonis discover them on their modest farmstead. until five siblings divide into groups of three and flee in opposite directions - north, south, west, anywhere but east to their homeland. elsie and her brother flynn have sought refuge in the incredible walled city of estralia, where they live as elsie & flynn brightmore among the eclectic folk of an artisan’s workshop. following threads that hint at magical abilities they’re only just beginning to understand, a forgotten lineage from a time more distant than they’ve ever thought about, and a repeat of history echoed in whispers about resistance, the scatterflow siblings are about to discover that their story is just one panel about a much larger battle still to come.    /    suitable for interactions within most general fantasy universes. this verse is based on the lore of an original novel i’m writing; i am extremely protective of it, and major alterations have been made to ensure the safety of crucial points in the story & lore. extremely heavily affiliated with @heroscarred.
