i actually remember a few from when i was researching that area. key terms for WV fish are a) long and b) weird. they also have very accurate names.

3. shovelnose sturgeon

another nose thing. looks like a shovel this time. long and weird.

4. american paddlefish

as expected it is american, a fish, and its nose looks like a paddle. also long and weird.

5. least brook lamprey

doesn’t look like a lamp. maybe a little like a ray. but it is like the silliest looking lamprey, they’re usually scaryish but this one just looks dumb.

a sunfish with orange spots. sunfish are underrated they’re so colorful and cool looking :)

reader :  Umi Kitsune, female, immortal, introvert.

facts : She is summoned by who are in need of help or advice. Reader tends to help others that are their species, though reader may seem cunning and mischievous, she is actually one of the most helpful and kindest kistunes out there. Reader has 9 tails, however has not mastered her powers. Her family, the kitsune guardians and one of the few kitsunes that can transform into human, her family died due to protecting the enchanted forest where she, the reader resides, and now, reader is now the guardian of her forest and ancestors, if she has any left. Most Umi Kitsunes can be found in reader's forest, reader's forest is an extremely big forest. However, Umi Kitsunes are almost extinct due to some unknown reasons, reader, is still investigating. ( will be posting an prologue, so this series will have a masterlist ! )

age : reader has no specific age, however she is thousands of years old, so dw ab her being a minor !!

powers : reader can create illusions, because of this, when she is in danger she summons illusions and flee the scene safely. She also uses this to protect people ( ykwim, the guys n gals. ) She can also posses peoples or kitsunes minds, although she hasn't fully mastered this, she does try and test it with her other kitsune friends ( that can't turn into human )

mask : in combat, the mask will look a little like this or this ( u pick ! u imagine what u want <3 I picked the second mask bcs it looks / has the colour scheme of Xiao ! Xiao's one of my favs hehe )

likes : reader likes rice cakes ( according to google kitsunes like anything rice related ) and onigiri !

clothing : readers dress / outfit looks a little like this ! or you can imagine Yae Miko's clothing on reader, the skirt is js a little more covered. :) this is an example !

scaryish fact : yk how I mentioned reader hasn't mastered her powers yet ? Yeah, she unknowingly kills, she had killed foxes that are stepping in her forest, or maybe even kitsunes. However if you think about it, reader might be the cause of extinction of the Umi kitsunes ? Wrong. There's a different killer, and reader is aware, and due to this, reader's mind has one goal, "kill the killer." Her mind is focused on one task, and that is to kill, how does she kill ? Take Layla as an example, she "sleep walks", but she's wide awake, she just not in her right mind. There are only times when this happens, rather, when the killer decides to attack.

Now the character infos are done, I decided to make it js mu favorite characters instead of like 9 characters LMAOAOA, but I decided to make it Xiao, Wanderer, Cyno, n Tighnari ! Since they're my top favorites n the characters I have the most fun writing, I decided to do them instead, I'm planning on adding Lumine, Aether, and Paimon too ! ( Lumine n Aether are aroace ) idk if I should make it fluff mixed with gore yet, still planning ! Also idk if I should make it multiple endings like which character you end up with yk, or if u got the opportunity to go to teyvat w them, not sure yet, since the planning is still in complete, I'll be finishing telephone first ! Will be editing this whenever I get the chance.

I've started having scaryish dreams again which I haven't been having since i started smoking weed which is weirder because I'm still smoking in the evenings and before bed, just not all day anymore. The other night I dreamed that I was on a plane going to see my best friend in another state and I felt like if I didn't hold on to the seat I'd fall out, and then last night I dreamed that one of my teeth was rotting away and I was pulling chunks from it. It felt so realistic that I had to check my tooth was fine when I woke up

Bruce could be a vulture, golden eagle, or like a peregrine falcon. All of these seem like the type of bird people would fear and type Bruce as.

Dick gives off Osprey or Starling vibes, although a bluebird would fit the color theme

Barbara feels like she could be a cardinal. (I like the pun of her being a guiding force and cardinal being a word to describe directions. Also red)

Jason would be a Pyrrhuloxia or a red kite I think. (Red, large scaryish looking birds. Also no one really knows these birds, but no one really knew who red hood was either). Another one for Jason is the red tailed hawk, which are known to be territorial.

Cassandra would be an owl (silent wings)

Stephanie could be a macaw of some sort. (They can be purple, and they talk and Stephanie is probably the most talkative to outside outsiders of the bats. Also she’s smart and many people underestimate macaw’s intelligence)

Tim would be a crow or raven, although I think crow fits better (smart bird known for using tools and jet black like his hair)

Duke could be a dove? Because he’s like Gothams hope in the day?

Damien would be a Robin I guess, or a red shouldered hawk (a baby red shouldered hawk feels very fitting of Damien, they are aggressive and have no fear)

Alfred would be a stork maybe? (Is traditionally linked with familial values and loyalty, but also can be pretty deadly)

Another bird I think would be cool but couldn’t match to any single member was Harris’s Hawk. They hunt in packs and work together to defend themselves. They’re sorta like air wolves.

In an age where podcast is the next wave of radio broadcasting entertainment, there's definitely a market for different types of podcast and unless you have a particular niche or piggybacking on a genre that's booming; it's a little hard to find diamonds in a sea of gems.

Now, let me pre-face with my bias: I know these people. One of them I consider a really good friend and obviously this is one of many ways I'm supporting them.

But all that aside: this podcast is hella good.

It's in its infant stage right now [barely at 10 episodes at the time I'm posting this] and through trial and audience participation, Robin [Grace] and Adam [Diaz] are finding their footing -- and it's working.

Mainly because these two are truly depending on the latter: me, you, us, THE AUDIENCE.

Every week they encourage not just the basic "Please Share our Podcast" spiel, but they also want us to PARTICIPATE.

How? By sending in our own "scary"-ish* story.

[* - Ish because despite there being tales that causes the chill to run down our spines, through their humor and fond banter they keep things light]

Dubbed as "Homegrown Horrors" they share tales submitted by the listeners. If you have a story about creepy basements [sorry, Robin], they want to hear it. If you have a tale that involves a child you know saying something you think "Huh, that's a little creey...", they want to know what that child said. If you experienced a supernatural, even spiritual, happening involving a loved one, they would love to know of it but are okay with you just sharing it between them and no one else [unless you want them to share, that's totally up to you].

You can also share with them experiences where you started to investigate a spoopy happening, but then you Nope'd the hell out of dodge!

It doesn't have to be terrifying because when they're not creeping each other out with the different topics of the week, they're giving each other shit over the mundane things of life [so much shit that you can probably create a drinking game out of how many times they fondly say "I hate you" to one another].

Listen, I could give you the talk of "Oh if you like Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural, you'd like this..." or "Do you like to listen to two nerds -- with natural chemistry you can plainly hear -- try to spoop each other out about different scary shit?"... I honestly could go on and on about why I think you should check out their podcast, but in the end I think you should at least have a listen for yourself. Each episode is about an hour long and not gonna lie it goes by quickly.
