Kagami Sakishima who meets his favourite author, you, in Akatsuki. He isn't expecting to see you as he himself is aware of how Akatsuki is not really a decent part of Tokyo to be in, but here you are.

Kagami watched as you sipped the tea that Kazuma made after Kagami requested him to do so. He, who was calm and collected most of the time, was nervous. How could he not be? His idol was literally in front of him, you in the flesh, you in the book café Titan. "It tastes good," you commented about the tea with a small smile.

"I'm glad you like it," Kagami replied to you, as if he was the one who made the tea. Kazuma just rolled his eyes which was noticed by Eiji as he elbowed him. "What brings you here? This place is not exactly the best place to... visit," asked Kagami.

"Oh, I was just... taking a walk and I didn't notice that I had wandered off too far," you chuckled nervously. "My house is a bit far from here but all I have to is just walk on a straight line, take some turns and I found myself here," a small laugh escaped from your lips as you tried to suppress the embarrassment you were feeling.

This was the first time you have ever let your legs brought you to wherever they can take you as you thought of an idea for your another book. You could've been killed by the Dusk soldiers if it weren't for Eiji who noticed you walking around so carelessly.

Kazuma was about to ask something, but Kagami asked first. "Are you planning on going back home now?" he questioned. That question made you looked towards the window. The earlier blue sky you saw was now turning orange. "Walking at this hour is not the best choice," he shook his head.

After a while staring at the sky you looked back at Kagami. "Well, it is as you said-"

"You can sleep here for tonight, we will escort you back to your place the next morning," he didn't even let you finished your sentence, he was trying to hold back his nervousness which led him to act on impulse. Eiji, Kazuma and Yamato looked at each other at the mention of "we" but none of them said anything as they can tell that Kagami was just happy to see his favourite author and didn't want to disturb his moment.

"Wouldn't it be a bother?" You asked, worried that your presence here was unpleasant. Kagami assured you that it was fine and managed to convince you to stay here for the night.

The next morning, Yamato offered to accompany you and Kagami to get you back home safely, but he had something to do first before moving. Kagami took this opportunity to ask you for something. "Hey, [F/N], can I ask you to do something?"

"Oh? What is it?" you asked, curious on what you could do for him.

Kagami picked up a book from the table and opened the first page of the book. You looked at the book and recognised the title with your name under it. It was one for your book.

"Oh, you have one of my books," you commented with a smile. It made you happy to see your books getting some attention.

"Could you... sign it..?" he asked, voice a little shaky from nervousness.

You can feel yourself getting slightly nervous. You weren't a famous or well know writer so you have never expected to meet someone who was a fan of your book. It made you excited as well.

"Of course," you said calmly though your heart was beating very fast that you can hear it in your ears. You took the pen and signed his book before smiling up at him. "I wasn't expecting to meet someone that read my book. It's an honour."

Kagami felt like he could just pass out right there, your smile—so cute.

In the end, Kagami and Yamato got you back home safely and the chance to see them again was almost zero, for now.

You would constantly spend a month, a week or a day talking about your love for books to that certain somebody who happens to be your amazing, loving boyfriend. Kagami Sakishima, your one and only. The member of Helios and He’s a Scard.  Yeah, that Kagami Sakishima. 

Surprisingly, you two have been together for four years. Crazy, right? Kagami has laid his eyes on you ever since you started hanging around the Titan cafe. He spotted you reading a very fascinating book by the table. Eiji, smoking in front of the counter, noticed his best friend staring at you. Smirking away as he walked up to you and started talking in Kagami’s stand. 

Kagami gathered his courage, rushing quickly up to you and gently pushing Eiji away before he could embarrass you more. 

“H-hi there…” Kagami nervously greeted you. 

You gave a little giggle, finding his greeting adorable, “Hello there…” 

And that….is how you two met. Eiji smiled proudly at his best friend’s courage to speak to you while taking another drag from his cigarette.

⋆⭒˚.⋆ Four Years Later… ⋆⭒˚.⋆

“Come on, Kagami!” You dragged your boyfriend by holding his hand, hopping off to the book stall where they were showing new romance novels on the shelves and table. 

Kagami chuckled at your eagerness, knowing you were dying to get new books to read, “Alright, alright, my love…I’m coming.” 

Eiji slipped his hands into his pockets, blowing a little mist of smoke from his cigarette, “Well, well…the two look quite happy together…wouldn’t you say, bro?” He moved his head over to his younger brother Kazuma.

“Yeah whatever..” Kazuma rolled his eyes, he wasn’t showing a sign of disgust or anything like that. He was truly happy for you and Kagami. Eiji gave a cheeky chuckle to his response, “Don’t tell me that my younger brother is jealous.” 

Kazuma’s face rose up with an exploding heat of blushing red, “S-shut up! As if I need someone in my life!” 

“Well, you will never know…” Eiji placed his cigarette between his slender fingers, blowing out a longing smoke. 

“One day, you’re going to find the love of your life, big bro…” 

“Yeah well guys like me have no time for love, bro. Besides…” Eiji added, taking a slight pause looking over his best friend Kagami who is getting teased by you, showering him with all your affection, “I don’t think I deserve that kind of love…” 

You clung onto Kagami’s arm, your head pressing against his shoulder, “Oh Kagami, I love you!” The words caused Kagami’s heart to skip a beat. Feeling a wave of fuzzy, loving emotions coursing through him, “I love you too, my sweet dove.” 

Eiji and Kazuma decided to stay out for a bit while you were headed back with Kagami to the Titan cafe to read the new books you bought from the book stall. Holding each other’s hands or cuddling each other as you both dive into a world of fantasy. Kagami decided to chill at your apartment afterwards, taking plenty of books with him to yours. Which, of course, you didn’t seem to mind since the two of you are both book addicts. You snuggled up to Kagami on the couch while holding the fantasy-action book in your hands, already flipping to another new chapter. Kagami finds it utterly adorable when you rest your head on his lap while sticking your nose to a book that you’re currently reading. As you were seemingly distracted. Kagami leaned in and snuck a kiss to your forehead. Your face flushing with a slight bright red dotting on your cheeks. You decided to get a little payback, peppering his face with your sweet kiss attacks.

a/n - I'm still highly upset that there's not a lot of Project Scard fanfics on here (ᴗ_ ᴗ。)

I feel like I'm the only one that writes them XD

Also, another thing, I kept imagining Kagami calling his S/O 'my sweet dove' because I believe that's the nickname he would say to his special lady ( ˘ ³˘)♥︎

I can’t stand he is so damn handsome, a true beauty. He is magnificent. I love his sad smile, I love his hair, I love his sweet voice. I damn love him!!!!!

This had his brows knitting together a little, creating that little crease, one that had become reather prominent on an else young face. Features still fine, but sunken in from neglect and malnourishment. Pale bottom lip was now becoming a victim of the kind of autoaggression most would write off as anxiety, but for Kagami it was almost an obsessive disorder to chew on it until there was the faint taste of copper making it's way onto his tongue.

It felt as if it helps his anxiety, when in fact, it was just another disorder he developed in an false attempt to soothe his troubled soul.

"Yes.." His voice was faint as he admitted to it... He had, of course, seen his stupidity, how his conquest of finding a place of belonging was being abused, taken advantage of.. and ultimately destroyed in a way that he was now scard of finding such a place. "There was plenty... and I-..was stupid enough to not follow it." But after a while he had felt caged, bound by an indestructable leash to a man he was terrified of. Holding on to a feeling that had been one-sided from the very begining and it had become so incredibly clear when Hidan had treated him as the replacement that he was.

By that point, Kagami had already been a buffet that has been eaten from plenty, too weak and too heartbroken to actually turn his back and break it all off, too scared to tell him and Kakuzu to fuck off and leave him alone. "... I wish I had acted differently upon it... But I can't change the past anymore... It's now just for me to hopefully make the best out of the future."

The question was met with the simple shake of a head, then a shrug of his shoulders. "No I don't. Or if I did I wouldn't know... the only one that-.. somewhat comes to mind is Sasuke.. but I-.. I have no clue where to find him."

This had him chuckling a little, though also shuddering in an odd way. "Hah-.. No I would... decline that offer happily and I-.. I also don't want to leech money or a place to sleep off of you... I have been making it work... somewhat up until here. I just need to remain hidden as much as I possibly can... then I should be fine..~"

It was only a part of what it was… But it was ultimately what lead him to run. Kagami knew, that if he didn’t flee from it, he would one day die because of it. And despite already being so broken, hurting and lost-.. there was still a strong will in that young heart to find something else… To find peace.

To find a place he truly belongs to without being abused, used, tortured and experimented on. In a way it had been a place that he had found within Kiyoto, when he was still around but he also noticed… How being around him, hearing and seeing what was done to him, changed something in the Jashinist… like it broke something. And so he understood when he vanished and never returned.

And then there was that question, so unseeming to a lot but to Kagami it opened up what he had learned just recently. “… Now I-… now know that he wouldn’t have… He claimed it.. a lot. Claimed that him hurting me was-.. my own damn fault for hurting him.” Something that still made no sense to him.. Because he never had done something to the other.

“In all honesty I-..I didn’t want to be his lover.. I had never intended to… But I was-..I had pity on him because everyone was against him.. And I wanted to just help him and then it all just happened.” No he hadn’t really loved him to begin with… But the way Hidan had claimed him, the way he called him pretty names and hugging him close, proudly showing him off in the beginning… It gave him a sense of belonging.. it made him addicted to something that at one point was taken away and withheld from him… and yet he still begged.

Surprised he looked up at the other, wanting to somewhat nuzzle into that hand but it was hard to reach. “But I don’t know where to go..”

Summary: Kagami returned home to see his beloved girlfriend dozing off with a book in her hand that she’s currently borrowing off him.

Kagami was currently helping out at the Titan Cafe while getting visibly annoyed by Kazuma having a little go for Yamato Kai for not following a simple recipe. Eiji, the manager of the Titan Book Cafe, tried to personally calm his younger brother down while Kagami snuck off to head back home to see you. Having enough with Kazuma bickering Yamato for not following a straightforward recipe. 

At the apartment, since it was your day off. You decided to read one of Kagami’s books while having a nice brew of pumpkin spice latte. Normally you don’t borrow books from your boyfriend but sometimes you do. Kagami doesn’t seem to mind it, especially when he doesn’t necessarily shout at you for creasing the book spines. He’s not that type of person to do. Although, you constantly always try to be gentle with his precious books. The rare ones too. 

Everything feels so calm and peaceful at home, drowning in all the serenity. Reading your boyfriend’s book, relaxing while sipping off a mug of coffee. Tasting the little spice and sweetness on the tip of your tongue. Ten minutes later, you dozed off on the couch with Kagami’s open book in your hands.

Finally, your sweet-loving bookworm boyfriend Kagami came back home with a bag of groceries that needs to be restocked in the kitchen. He called out for you making his way to the kitchen and put some things away. He noticed something was a little off. So Kagami carefully puts down the bag of groceries at the counter before he could go to the living room to see if you were there. 

A warm-beaming smile shone across Kagami’s face when he spotted you sleeping off the couch with his book that’s still currently placed in your hands. He let out a soft chuckle, walking over to you. Kagami lowered down to his knees, trying not to make a sound so he doesn’t accidentally wake you up. Gently, he brushed off the strands of your hair away from your face as he smiled lovingly. Admiring how adorable you look. “My sweet dove must be sleepy...” Kagami muttered silently, gradually slipping up a blanket on you to keep you cosy as he pecked a sweet, gentle kiss to your forehead, “Rest well, my sweet sleepy dove.” He then hopped back to the kitchen in a quiet manner to sort out the groceries and put them away. 

a/n - I don't think anything can stop me from writing drabbles since I strangely prefer to do them. I know Kagami is into romance books BUT I have no idea what 'type' of romance he reads XDD so I couldn't be arsed writing down a made up title for the book that the reader was currently borrowing off Kagami. Also, don't even ask about the random-ass title I picked for this fanfiction (ᵕ—ᴗ—)
