Thinking about Lyfrassir accidentally changing the Void's song to just sound like the band SKÁLD. I just ... I think when Lyf uses their Bifrost abilities it sometimes causes the Void's song to filter through the air and those in proximity can hear it, but now that Lyf is main vessel/avatar for the Bifrost (+ it literally just consumed the entire Yggdrasil system) the music sounds like Nordic/Scandinavian folk/metal music.
The Mechanisms, a group of immortal space pirates but also one of the pirates is technically a viking. Immortal space viking if you will. You can tell which one is the viking bc they'll light up rainbow and you can hear ominous voices chanting Yggdrasilian (Norse) runes.
#btw if you haven't listened to SKÁLD but you do really like TBI/Lyf#GO LISTEN TO THEM!!!!#i mean... there are plenty of other Nordic/Scandinavian folk musicians#but I'm just most familiar with SKÁLD i guess#but seriously it's so much fun#trust me if you care about TBI or your blorbo is Lyfrassir you will probably love SKÁLD#or maybe not idk but go try it!!!!#the mechanisms#the bifrost incident#lyfrassir edda#SKÁLD

Sondre Lerche: musician, Norway
copied from - 'Fuck Yeah, Scandinavian Men' on Tumblr

Note
I have no clue if you've done this already, but I would love some royal-related vocabulary!! I write about a royal family (one in the middle ages) and it gets tiring looking for all the correct terms😅
Some Medieval Vocabulary
Amercement - financial penalty imposed by the King or his justices for various minor offences. The word comes from the fact that the offender is said to be ‘in mercy’.
Assize - meeting of feudal vassals with the King, and the edicts issued from it. It comes to have a legal context of court; but then in the early days the king’s court was just that – a place where law was made and justice executed. Hence the double meaning of the word court.
Borough - town with the right of self government granted by royal charter
Chamber - the financial office of the royal household
Chamberlain - officer of the royal household, responsible for the Chamber. He was therefore responsible for administration of the household and the private estates of the King.
Chancellor - officer of the Royal Household who originally served as the monarch’s secretary or notary, managing the Chancery, filled with clerks who produced writs and written instructions and records.
Chivalry - the knightly class of feudal times. The primary sense of the term in Europe in the Middle Ages is “knights,” or “fully armed and mounted fighting men.” Thence the term came to mean the gallantry and honour expected of knights. Later the word came to be used in its general sense of “courtesy.”
Constable - the title of an officer given command in an army or an important garrison. Also the High Constable was the officer who commanded in the King’s absence and commanded the King's army.
Destrier - warhorse; so called because it would be led using the right hand
Diadem - a royal crown
Eyre - the king and his justices would traditionally travel through the kingdom to deliver justice. As the king became more centred at Westminster, justices would continue to travel – and were called Justices in Eyre. From the French errer, "to travel".
Heir apparent - the declared heir to the throne, normally the king’s eldest son
Heir presumptive - the presumed heir to the throne in the event of the king dying without an heir apparent
Justiciar - head of the royal judicial system and the King’s viceroy during his absence from the country
League - somewhere between 1½ to 3 miles. Traditionally, the distance a person or horse can walk in one hour.
Mark - money, worth thirteen shillings and four pence, i.e. two thirds of £1
Mead hall - in the Middle Ages in Northern Europe and Scandinavia, a large building with just one room that was used as a central place for entertainment and as a living place for a lord/king
Minstrel - a traveling musician and singer common between the 11th and 15th centuries
Ordeal - a method of trial in which the accused was given a physical test which could be met successfully only if they were innocent (e.g., ordeal by fire)
Purveyance or prise - in early medieval days, the lord had the right to be entertained by his followers, at their expense. And of course this applied to the greatest lord of all – the king. Over time, the king travelled less, but still wanted the benefit of being able to have him and his household live at someone else's expense – and so he exercised the right to take goods and food in lieu of being there. It was the policy to pay – but payment was often small and late.
Saga - a long story about Scandinavian history, written in the Old Norse language in the Middle Ages, mainly in Iceland
Steward - man responsible for running the day to day affairs of the manor or castle in absence of the lord
Subinfeudation - in medieval Europe, the process by which a vassal (i.e., a man who lived on land given to him by a powerful land owner in exchange for agreeing to fight for him) allowed someone else to use or live on part of their land
Sumpter - packhorse, pony, mule or other animal
Thegn - military companion to the king

Here's what I found for you. Hope this helps! Would love to read your work if it does—sounds like the kind of writing I enjoy :)

Kloktober 2024 Day 16
Costume Party or Sleepover Party
Because of Dethzazz, I'm convinced Toki has confided in Skwisgaar stuff that he hasn't told the rest of Dethklok. They just have that Scandinavian bond, you know?
And, like I said the other day, I'm a big fan of Toki's early days in Dethklok so here's another entry focusing on that!
Toki hugged a pillow, reluctantly glancing at Skwisgaar’s profile. “Ams this reallies okays?” He eventually asked.
“Ja.” Skwisgaar said, looking at the old digital alarm clock by his night table. 2 AM.
He was sleeping, or at least attempting to, wearing nothing but a couple of white briefs when Toki stormed into his room. The youngest claimed he had seen something horrible in his sleep and that he couldn’t stay in his room for the night.
It was not a first for Toki to want to stay in Skwisgaar’s room instead of his own. In fact, the kid appeared to be pretty fond of Skwisgaar, often choosing to spend time with him over the rest of his bandmates. It was only the slightest bit endearing, that Toki seemed to hold him in such high regard.
As for Skwisgaar, he couldn’t deny he too enjoyed having a fellow Scandinavian that shared his passion for the guitar. And, he’d never admit this to him out loud, but Toki had a bit of a charm that made him very easy to like. So, it wasn’t hard for Skwisgaar to exercise some patience with him.
“And yous not mads about this?”
“No.” Skwisgaar turned around, glancing at the ceiling.
“You sures?”
“Ja.”
“Reallies?”
“Ja.”
“Reallies?!”
“Toki!” Skwisgaar chuckled and Toki pretty much instantly deflated.
“Sorries…” Toki said, looking down.
“It ams okays.” Skwisgaar laid on his side, his face resting on one hand. “Yous always saying dats. Whys?”
“Sorries? Wells, yeah, I cants helps it-”
“No, nots dat. Well, dats too buts, eugh…” Skwisgaar gestured at the air. “I was referrings to how you always asks if people ams mad.”
“Oh.” Toki straightened up all of sudden. “Uh…”
Skwisgaar raised an eyebrow, intrigued but unsure if he should inquire any further.
The pillow sitting on Toki’s lap tightened under his arms. “It ams…weirds to explains…” He said, still averting his gaze.
“Eugh, you dont has to talks if you donts wants it…” Skwisgaar’s eyes strayed into the darkness he was slowly growing accustomed to. “I ams not goods with de emotionals bits anyway.”
“My moms and dads…they was always mads at me…” Toki continued regardless. “Always lookings angry and disappointed. And the adults in the town, too. They lookeds at me like I was trash. I never understands what I did dat makes them all so mad…” He let out a shiver and Skwisgaar could tell he was shaking.
“Tokes,” Skwisgaar reached out to him. “You really donts-”
“When I tries to makes friends with the kids, they was nice to mes and I has funs…but thens come another days they avoids me too. They hates me and I asks them why but they wouldnt even looks at me…”
Skwisgaar just stared at his silhouette in silence. He had sort of gathered that Toki’s childhood wasn’t great though at this point that pretty much seemed like a requirement to be a great musician. This definitely seemed a bit out of the ordinary, however.
“There was a girl…from the church…” Even with the dim light, Skwisgaar could make out the faint smile on Toki’s face. “She mades me feels like…something I never felts before. She was different, I thoughts…She was specials…”
Already dreading the rest of the story, Skwisgaar asked. “Ands?”
“I brings her a flower to tell her my feelings and she…drops it. She seems scareds of me, I thinks. When I asks why, she says beings wif me is bad omens. But I still dont understands the reasons…”
At this point, Skwisgaar was completely sat up, almost scared to break the silence with a noise.
“She says dere ams something wrongs wif mes…dats no one can fix.” Toki said in a choked up voice. “And I will always be alones…no one wills…” His head hung down and he placed his pillow in front of his face to hide it. The bed trembled despite Skwisgaar not moving at all.
Skwisgaar placed a hand on Toki’s shoulder. He knew there was nothing he could say to take back all those years of loneliness and abandonment. He knew that very well. There was something he could give him, though.
“We ams not like dems.” He said softly. “We ams not going to starts hatins you one days. Dat ams imposskibles.”
Sniffing, Toki turned to him. “Yous promise?”
Skwisgaar smiled. “Ja, littol dildo. You gotsa play guitars for us now, remembers?”
Toki giggled. “Thats true.” After a pause, he added. “Yous so easy to talks to, Skwisgaar.”
“Pfft, I doubts that.” Skwisgaar said, remembering his mother chastising him for being the complete opposite.
“Ams serious!” Toki dropped the pillow. “Moidaface ams always saying yous an asshole…”
“Whats?! He says dats?!” Skwisgaar squinted. “Dat littol-”
“He ams wrong.” Toki shrugged with a smile. “I feels I can tell anythings to yous.”
“Eugh, dats a bits…”
Toki got under the covers without losing the smile. “Now you tells me something abouts you.”
“Euh, euh…” Skwisgaar quickly tried to look for a fact about himself that wasn’t too revealing nor too humiliating. “My first loves was de fats, olds libraries ladys from my school.”
Laughing hysterically, Toki rolled on the bed. “No ways!”
Skwisgaar snorted. “Ja, I loves when she leans towards me with her old ladies perfumes ands…”
Like that, Skwisgaar started telling Toki a bunch of random trivia about himself. Some of them factual, some of them a bit embellished but Toki seemed entertained all the same, nodding along and encouraging him to continue at every turn. Skwisgaar didn’t know anyone would be so interested in him, not for his musical skills or his sexual prowess, but just for being himself.
Toki’s town was right about him, in a way.
He was one of a kind.

Interview with Joker Out's member Nace Jordan, from Slovenian magazine Kranjčanka!
"Enriched by a special experience"
We caught up with Nace Jordan, bassist of Joker Out, a week or so after the Eurovision show in Liverpool, a few days after the show in Zagreb, and just before they left for the show in Dublin, where they sold out their first show in twenty minutes… On stage, they kept company to the Irish performers.
The fact that this guy, who is otherwise from Mlaka (T.N: small village near Kranj), is fully booked, can be confirmed by telling you that he moved into a new flat in March of this year - he has been living in Ljubljana for some time now - but he has spent less than 14 days there until it was time for the Eurovision Song Contest. He still returns to Kranj at least twice a week to visit his mother and to stay true to himself: he decided to get a personal trainer a while ago, so now he also goes to Kranj to train there.
Nace Jordan came into contact with music in primary school. He first played the guitar, which he soon replaced with the bass guitar. "Around the fifth grade of primary school (T.N: 10-11 years old), I became interested in instruments and a classmate and I decided to start a music group. He bought a drum set and I bought an electric guitar. Then we quickly saw that there were no bass players. So I sold the guitar and bought a bass guitar," he explains. He has no formal musical training, but says he has been lucky that wherever he has gone in life, there has always been a good mentor who has been able to guide him.
I: How long did this primary school group last?
N: In those days it was a well-known Kranj band called Success. We did a lot of gigs. It's interesting that all the band members from that time are now living off music. They are, for example, the guitarist Nejc Ušlakar, Tajda Jovanović - also from Mlaka - who is a top classical singer and used to sing at the famous Scala in Milan; if I am not mistaken, she is now teaching classical singing in Dubai. We just created an environment for ourselves and stayed in music. The drummer and keyboard player, Aljaž Bernik and Miha Petrovič, have, for example, a very successful wedding band, called Pop Deluxe.
I: What came after primary school? (* (T.N: In Slovenia, primary school lasts for 9 years, from ages 6-15)
N: I enrolled at the then Iskra University, majoring in mechatronics, but just before graduation I started working - actually playing on a cruiser. By some chance I found myself at a jam session open mind in Kranj, where the Kranj drummer Rok Rozman was looking for someone to go on the boat with him. He was impressed with me, I auditioned and of course they weren't very happy at home when I confronted them with the fact that I was going to take my final exams the following year. I was just 18 years old.
I: Was that a cruise ship?
N: Yes. We were travelling in the Baltic Ocean. I remember that we started in Germany, in a port north of Hamburg, then continued on to Gdansk, St Petersburg and to the Scandinavian countries.
l: That was probably the only time you've been on a cruise ship of that kind, a tourist cruise ship?
I've had a lot of people ask me if I would ever go on holiday on a cruise ship. Probably not. But I would go and have another look at the one I played on.
I: When you came back to Slovenia, did you graduate from high school? N: I didn't and I still regret it a little bit. When I came back from the ship, I started working with the singer Katarina Malo. During that time, I was also taken under the wing of two musicians from Primorska (T.N.: a region in the South-Western part of Slovenia) - that's what I mentioned: I found myself somewhere and then a mentor came along. I learned a lot from them. They were David Morgan and Denis Beganovic - Kiki. The first one is a top jazz drummer from the coastal area, he organises a lot of stuff, and he also plays with Avtomobili (T.N. slovenian band), I think he even played with Plestenjak (T.N. Jan Plestenjak, a famous Slovenian pop singer) at one point. Whereas Kiki is a multi-instrumentalist. He's an extraordinary talent. He has worked with Kanzyani and other famous DJs and musicians from abroad. He has made a lot of music, and he also led the Big Band from the coastal region. That was a really nice period for me. I even moved to the coastal region for a short period.
I: Why music, why not football?
N: Certainly not football (laughs). It's the sport I'm least talented in, or rather, all ball sports fall into that context - be it table tennis or football; and, even though my surname is Jordan, I'm the worst basketball player in the world (laughs). Just two days ago, I met my first grade teacher, and of course the topic of music and Eurovision came up. She told me that she knew even back then that school was not for me, but that I would definitely do something creative in my life. It brought back memories of how bored I was at school and how I would rather draw under my desk than listen, even though I was not a bad student.
I: You haven't been a member of Joker Out for long.
N: Since last year. Martin Jurkovič, the original bass player, felt at some point that music was not his main path. He is also an extremely talented programmer and is studying in that direction. He wants to study abroad and decided to finish that chapter. I knew the lead singer of the band, Bojan, from some mutual friend groups before, and the guys were looking for someone who was around their age, professional, good at what they do, and they thought of me. And Martin was in favour of me coming into the group instead of him.
I: And did you imagine that the band would continue the way it did?
N: From the beginning I went into the band with a bit of hesitation. I even suggested a test period. I had learnt that there has to be chemistry between the members. And if we didn't get along with each other the way we do, we wouldn't have performed on the Eurovision stage. We would have had a fight otherwise.
I: Do you spend a lot of time together?
N: First there were the Eurovision showcase concerts, and now there is the summer concert tour in Slovenia. We also have quite a few problems, because we get a lot of calls from abroad. It's logistically difficult, so we're looking for a solution to link some of the concerts to the tour. After the Eurovision Song Contest, we really started to get noticed abroad.
I: Was this your first Eurovision Song Contest?
N: Yes. But I have been to EMA (slovenian national selection for ESC) several times before.
I: Was it as you imagined it would be?
N: Even better. I can say that everyone who has been through this kind of experience has told us that it will be really tough: there will be a lot of work, but that we should also expect crazy parties. But in the end, it was much less exhausting than we expected. In fact, we had such a busy schedule beforehand that Eurovision itself was almost easier for us afterwards. We were practically in the Arena for five days, the rest was socialising, interviews and other commitments. In principle, we like that.
I: You seemed to be well received.
N: We were lucky enough to have connected with practically all the performers. We were always in a good mood, which was seen and felt both in the performances and in the interviews, during the statements. We came home really enriched by a special experience. And it was really nice to see how the people at home supported us. After the first semi-final, we got some footage of how they were watching us and we were just amazed how behind Bežigrad (Ljubljana district), let's say, they watched the first semi-final show in an organised way. The energy was crazy, like at a match.
I: What about Liverpool? Was there any time to "play tourists"?
N: During Eurovision, not really. We were in Liverpool before, because we were shooting a video. I think it was after Barcelona, and we did a lot of walking around the city then. For those who like the Beatles, Liverpool is great.
I : How did it come about that you went to Eurovision in the first place?
N : When I came into the group, the guys and I immediately started talking about whether we would go to this year's EMAs. We decided to go. We knew we would definitely be one of the favourites because we have a really big and extremely loyal audience. Well, then the EMA didn't happen. The jury decided to make their own choice, from the five entries who had the most songs of the week during that year. And I think only two of us ended up applying. There was no EMA, and they sent us to Liverpool.
I: You mostly use Slovenian in your songs.
N: Of course. We have a few songs in English, but we mostly sing in Slovenian. We were talking about how we would work going forwards, and we agreed not to bother with the language. We are proud of our Slovenian language. It's really something beautiful when you see an adult Peruvian man or a five-year-old Spanish girl singing our song in Slovenian. In that moment you understand the athletes and you are proud to be Slovenian.
I: How is it on the street? Do people recognise you? You often hear: is that the bass player of Joker Out?
N: Yes, quite. Most of the time it's people who say something nice to you, or want a selfie. Of course, there are also some "admirers" who stick gum all over my car or leave messages. There's a good side and a bad side to being a public personality. Sometimes it requires of you to spend three hours taking photos - but if you enjoy doing something, that's not a problem either.
I: Do you think that it is actually the fact that you get along well in a group that "pulls" in the audience?
N: The energy between us is definitely something that is contagious. I don't know if it's what makes the audience really like us, but it's something that puts even someone who is in a bad mood in a good mood.

Hey, how was your day? Tired from work? Annoying boss? Come to reso- music! We'll heal you with music.
We gonna share some classic folk songs with you today. Folk music has always had a unique way of connecting with people, and they often feature slow, simple, repetitive melodies that allow the lyrics to take center stage and convey a message.
🎵
Can't get enough of 《Five Hundred Miles》.
Melodic, natural and fresh. Life is hard, and you're not 500 miles from home. If you listen to it when you are lost and confused, your mood will be calmed down...
If you miss that train I'm on, it's the one I've left alone and in dismay; listen to the whistle that stretches for a hundred miles, a hundred miles, and a hundred miles ......
🎵
《Take Me Home, Country Roads 》 is a 1971 song written by American folk singer John Denver with Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert.
The inspiration for the song came from Bill Danoff, a musician friend of John Denver's, and his wife, Taffy Nivert, who told him that he was accompanying Nivert on a trip to join her family in Maryland; on the way there, he remembered a tune that would be suitable for a folk ballad.
After hearing the demo tune, John Denver was intrigued enough to talk to Danoff and Nivert about revising it for his next album, Poems, Prayers and Promises.
Every time we hear this song, it always evokes strong feelings of homesickness. country roads, take me home, to the place I belong... No matter how unsatisfactory life is, as long as the home is still there, our souls and bodies will have a place to return to.
🎵
...How to appease the lonely soul on a long night? In the face of the darkness of silence, natural contemplation is the greatest solace, the stars in the hazy moonlight, full of dewdrops of flowers, have given us the freedom of tolerance, soaring thoughts, so that loneliness has become a kind of enjoyment in the journey of life.
Accompanied by the melody of the bass, loneliness becomes a rare luxury. In loneliness you hear the sound of gurgling spring water? In loneliness do you see the round dance song gliding through the grass on a summer night? “Hello, darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk to you again.” ...... Let's use the key of 《The Sounds of Silence》 to open the door of loneliness in our hearts, and in loneliness, experience the depth and breadth of life, and welcome the bright dawn of your own.
As the theme song to the Academy Award-winning film 《The Graduate》 and one of the most iconic pieces of music of all time, this song has touched the hearts of millions of people around the world, spanning more than half a century, and has been sung for a long time.
🎵
Every time I hear this song 《Valder Fields》 by Toams Wells,
It's like sitting alone in the soft grass.
The warm afternoon sunlight is spreading gently on you.
White clouds roaming in the blue sky
The breeze smells of earth
and caresses your face.
In front of you are mountains and lakes.
Cows and goats are grazing.
It's peaceful and quiet.
The upbeat yet serene rhythms and gentle yet moving lyrics quiet every restless soul.
🎵
This is a Scandinavian ballad about a two-way crush called 《Say Hello》, sung by Roise Thomas and Sufjan Stevens.
The whole song is sweet and youthful, perfectly illustrating the nervousness, hesitation and anticipation of a crush.
If you meet someone you like, look them in the eye and say hello.
🎵
《Happy (I Used To Be)》,sung by the Norwegian singer-songwriter Egil Olsen, unique Nordic temperament, warm and continuous voice, slowly flowing with the sadness of the lazy mood, with minimalist and moving songs known as one of Norway's best live performers!
This song is a slow way to grieve, perfect for a quiet night or drunk moments to enjoy.
————
Listen to reso-music! Listen to how folk songs make the world feel right. Joy, sadness, frustration, secret love, homesickness, friendship, etc., there is always a feeling that can RESOnate with you.

Introduction Post
My name is Luna. I live in Russia in Saint Petersburg. I am a professional dreamer. The master of tomfool. 😁A creatively diverse and ambiguous personality. The type of activity is to rush from extreme to extreme and build castles in the air.😋 To be honest, I'm an ideological musician, I write folk music, play the flute and the Irish bouzouki a bit, I like to create images and take a photos, I like mysticism and magic, I read tarot cards and have my own YouTube channel for a Russian-speaking audience, where I talk about pagan traditions and Wicca.🌙 It just so happens that I don't look for easy ways in life. And I've always had a lot of passion and rebellion in me.❤ Someone admired me, someone hated or envied me, but I still continue to remain an open person in my creativity to the world and follow my ideas and believe in beauty. I love nature very much, forests, and my favorite animals are cats and horses. I also love Celtic and Scandinavian culture and mythology, as well as fairy tales and fantasy.✨There are a lot of medieval legends and fairy tales in my songs that I write for my folk band.🎵 I have a complicated personality and a lot of mental problems, but I still keep looking for a response in this world and those who would care about what I do and what I think.😊 Perhaps my goal, like the goal of many, is to be myself, contributing to this vast and infinitely beautiful world by building my own in it. And live by your own rules. An illusion? Yes, perhaps. Just like everything that surrounds us. We choose the truth for ourselves. Welcome to my world.👋

Any thoughts on Abbath? I LOVE the way you draw him!! 💕
Ah, my second favourite narcissist. No, wait, that's Maynard, third then.
I love Abbath's image and approach on the Black Metal scene. The guy never took himself too seriously, and this is a quality that I admire in people. He is a joker and such a great entertainer. It's pretty obvious that he wanted to live the life of Lemmy Kilmister (partying hard and drinking until he breaks his liver) instead of subscribing to the boring and soulless 'hail Satan' trend. Some might argue that he kind of helped in making Black Metal mainstream (and this is true), but it was expected to happen anyway. Yet, he doesn't even come close to how Dimmu Borgir 'stained' the scene.
He seems like he always had great humor. He has a very theatrical and strong personality that's appealing and it helps him remain relevant in the scene. It's quite obvious that he likes his own image a lot and he markets it for more money and fame, especially now more than ever with his new band/project 'Abbath', but that's nothing new, and he's not the only one who does it. (You've got Ihsahn and many more)
Immortal never wanted to be associated with church-burnings and satanism, as he stated in interviews because he 'didn't want to end up in prison'. This is my favourite quote from Abbath. He was laughing at the camera, making a painfully obvious reference to Vikernes and failed shenanigans.
His drinking problem is undeniable, and so it is the fact that he needed urgent professional help for a while. I know he went to rehab in recent years after fucking up concerts and cancelling tours. I remember that Demonaz also talked about this as one of the main reasons why Immortal broke up, which is kind of evident anyway, but it's nice to have the speculation confirmed. What is funny is that they used to be very good friends and classically ended up fighting in court for copy rights in Immortal and stuff like that. Whenever money is involved, you get to see a more realistic side of your best friends.
I appreciate his upgrade from playing bass to playing guitar, it's something that you rarely see in bass players. (I'm just being mean here) It's kind of unfortunate that you don't hear any bass in the early Immortal releases, but basslines were basically nonexistent in the early Black Metal scene anyway. Everything except for the guitar and drums is forever lost in the background noise and in the low quality of the recordings. It's obvious that he invested much more in spikes and bullet belts instead of his own equipment, but this is part of Abbath's charm.
I love watching his interviews and guessing what type of liquor is in his glass lmao, he likes beer for most of the time. One thing needs to be appreciated, and this is his strong will to be an addict in the Scandinavian society that frowns so much upon alcohol consumption. Their excise taxes are insane an it's not easy to get your hands on hard liquor as it is in the rest of Europe, but he successfully maintained his habit since the early 90s. So, kudos to Abbath 🙌
What is interesting though is that substance abuse is used as a way of numbing feelings and basically keeping you away from how you feel inside. This is my first thought when it comes to musicians who are known to be using. I do believe that Abbath has strong NPD traits considering his inflated sense of self, personality cult, messy private life (divorced from Demonaz's sister with a child if I remember correctly), and excessive drinking. This is just my speculation (and a bit of personal experience), but drinking excessively when it comes to NPD, it's usually how you avoid the emptiness inside (we all know how narcissists have no sense of self and it would make sense for him to run away from his problems and enjoy the fame). Of course, I don't know why the guy drinks, but it's quite obvious that it ruined a bit of his career and most probably his life too.
I don't know how he's doing now. I would probably have a lot more to say, but I don't remember at this moment.
I love his vocals, very unique, very raw and haunting. He really went in a different and quite original direction.
