hi, everyone. i was recently contacted by Weam Fan, a displaced high school student from Gaza. Before the zionist occupiers began their genocidal war against Palestine, she was in her last school year, about to graduate and pursue university.
she and her family have been displaced multiple times, and are suffering from multiple health issues. her mother is suffering from a very painful back injury, a sloped disc to be specific, and cannot recieve any treatment because of the ruthless agression of the imperialists.
please, anyone who reads this post, don’t just reblog it. please donate, and help her.

I posted this on a discord a while back, but I decided I should post a version here too. That being said, I present to you:
I HAVE GAZED INTO THE ABYSS AND THE ABYSS ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO WATCH A GAME
or
The culmination of a feverish night of theory crafting after a sudden epiphany like a vision from an angry god, which may or may not be pertinent to the plot of “20021, a Football Story” by Jon Bois, whenever that comes out
See, okay, the whole deal with this thing is; If either Nick and Manny get caught and fail to bring the footballs home, or succeed and bring the footballs home, it will become a big story that it was only two guys who stole the footballs from Georgia Tech. This tells Michigan State that the locomotive lateral was performed by two guys, and thus, it would have been almost impossible for them to split the balls up, meaning the 9 balls that MI ST went up by at the end of the locomotive lateral would have been all the balls that GTECH had (given that it dropped in rank to the 0 ball teams at the same time as MI ST increased by 9). If someone from MI ST took a screenshot of their scoreboard before and after the lateral they would be able to tell that by the time the lateral was completed:
1: MI ST has 24 balls
2: GA SO has at most 14 balls because they were a place below MI ST before the lateral when Michigan had 15 balls
3: SC ST has at most 8 balls because they were a place below GTECH, which (based on the number of balls MI ST increased by and GTECH’s ranking afterward) had 9 balls before the lateral
4: CIN, HOW, and TEX likely have 3 balls each, and if they’re not sure MI ST can collaborate with one of them. Additionally, if you know that a certain team has a certain number of balls at any point in the game, then if the ranking group that team is in never drops below 2 teams, then you will always know everyone in that ranking group will have that same amount of balls even if the original team drops out of that ranking group, due to the sheer unlikelihood of every team in a ranking group gaining or losing exactly the same amount of balls at the same time. Remember, it can be days between scoreboard changes. There is a good chance that every team already knows the tied for 5th ranking group have 3 balls each.
5. If you know CIN, HOW, and TEX each have 3, then MO through to UTEP must have 2 balls each
6. There are 28 teams with exactly one ball each. The 1 ball teams extend into the remaining teams section, where you normally would not be able to see rankings and wouldn’t be able to tell which ones are 1 ball teams and which ones are goose egg (0 ball) teams. However: all teams in the same rank are organized alphabetically, and you can see that the alphabetization resets between Washington State University and Air Force Academy. Therefore a MI ST player would be able to know there are 28 one ball teams.
So: 24+14+8+3*3+2*5+1*28=93
111-93=18 balls hidden off the field, one more than the number UAB is hiding in Stannard Rock Lighthouse
Will Michigan State find 18 missing balls alarming? I don’t know. Depends on the kind of story Jon Bois wants to write. I want to believe they will, starting a frenzy that uncovers UAB’s hidden dynasty as the most powerful team in the entire college bowl, which somehow forces UAB to resurrect their steamroller play One Last Time.
Maybe that’ll give Val something to talk about, other than loathsome mosquitoes lurking in limestone quarry ponds, which may or may not have contributed to the construction of the Empire State Building.
I can only say one thing for certain:
Stay in school, kids. It makes you better at cross-country football.

early morning thoughts cause I just woke up from a dream where we actually got the double chip (🥲🥲)— but how well do you think the girls would’ve actually played against SC?
i think we would’ve lost against sc
like the fact of the matter is whoever made it to the chip was gonna meet a very violent and abrupt end against sc
and i’m not saying this because i think that in a player to player matchup uconn wouldn’t win (except maybe center to center, but only because cardoso is 6’ fucking 7”) i think they just have the fortune of having a very deep bench that and a team that moves like a unit regardless of who is on the floor
i mean caitlin said it herself, there’s only so little you can do against a team like sc
what dawn is building over there is truly a dynasty - it’s very VERY impressive

Xiwang Mu
I made some notes for Xiwang Mu a while ago cause I was super interested in her, I forgot I made this but i'll post it anyways even if its not finished: with both yang and yin, sun and moon, life and death, reveals the goddess's control over the universe. Her link to both yin and yang also suggests androgyny, completeness, and independence. The Queen Mother's usual anthropomorphic attendants are minor deities known as blue lads and jade girls, or followers seeking immortality. In the clay brick from Szechwan, two seated or kneeling female figures, perhaps goddesses, appear in the lower right corner, and two male figures, a deeply bowing attendant holding a jade tablet and a standing guard holding a halberd, fill the lower left corner. The Szechwan tile shows the goddess ruling alone above a hierarchy of spirits. In other contexts, such as the reliefs at the Wu Liang offering shrines and at I nan, she is accompanied by her divine consort, Tung Wang Kung (the King and Sire of the East), who is also called Tung Wang Fu (King Father of the East). She is yin to his yang; the pair embodies the divine marriage that creates the world and keeps it in balance.
Han poetry. Han poems agree with other sources in depicting the Queen Mother as a goddess of longevity living on a magic mountain. Ssu-ma Hsiang-:iu's (179-I I7 B.C.) Tajen fu (Rhapsody on the great man), written between 130 and 120 B.C., portrays her as an old hag. (The fu was a literary form special to the Han that mixed elements of prose and poetry and is often translated as "rhapsody" or "prose-poem.") A part from his humorous tone and clear delineation of age, Ssu-ma's description matches that found in the Classic of Mountains and Seas. The goddess wears a sheng headdress in her white hair and dwells in a remote mountain cave, where a threelegged crow brings her food. The poet comments: "If one were to live without dying, even for a myriad generations, what joy would one have?" (SC, 1 1 7.3060). Through satire and rhetoric, Ssu-ma Hsiang-ju criticizes the cult of immortality and warns the emperor, the "great man" of the title, against wasting his energy in vain pursuit of the worthless gifts offered by this old witch. Yang Hsiung's (53 B.C. -A.D. I S) Kan ch'uan fu (Rhapsody on the Sweet Springs) commemorates an imperial sacrifice to the supreme heavenly deity known as T'ai I or Grand Unity. The long poem takes its title from the Sweet Springs Palace to the east ofCh'ang an, where the ritual was held. Yang Hsiung glorifies Emperor Ch'eng (r. 32-7 B.C.), whose sacrificial procession and ceremonial performance he compares to the shamanistic journeys of the "Elegies of Ch'u." He praises Emperor Ch'eng's palace, likening its building$ and grounds to the goddess's estate on Mount K'un-Iun. Amid purple and turquoise palaces stand gardens planted with jade trees. There stands the Queen Mother of the West, attended by jade maidens and river goddesses. The narrator visualizes her during his ascent to transcendence. "Thinking of the Queen Mother of the West, in a state of joy he makes offerings to obtain longevity" ( WH,
Ia-I4b). Yang emphasizes the adept's flight to immortality with the aid of the goddess. Han dynasty literati venerated the Queen Mother of the West as a major deity who dwelt in heaven, dominated other spirits, controlled access to immortality, and promised ecstatic flight through space. 30
Han works in the Taoist canon. The history of the Taoist religion begins in the second century with the risc of two schools: the Celestial Masters or Five Pecks of Rice school in Szechwan and the Great Peace school around the capital city ofLo yang. They have left few surviving texts and fewer references to the Queen Mother. In fact, no contemporary record of either popular or elite cults to the Queen Mother during the Han dynasty survives in the Taoist canon. The earliest reference to her found in the patrology may be a line in the T'ai-p'ing ching (Classic of grand peace), a text originating in the Celestial Masters schoo!. One line in a section of the classic entitled "Declarations of the Celestial Masters" reads: "Let a person have longevity like that of the Queen Mother of the West," a phrase almost identical to Han mirror inscriptions.31 The Celestial Masters school connects her with long life but shows the goddess no special reverence. Han texts in the canon neglect a cult other sources show to be widespread and continuous, centered on a goddess who was to become one of the highest deities. This may result from attempts on the part of early Taoist leaders to reform the native religions of China. Such tendencies may be seen in efforts by the Celestial Masters to eliminate ancestor worship, blood sacrifice, and monetary payments to the clergy. The Queen Mother's later readmission to the divine hierarchy of the official Taoist church would then represent one of the many victories of the native religion. But the goddess herself changes under the impact of the Taoist religion, as we shall see. . Shang Ch 'ing Taoism, Paradise, Local Cults: The Six Dynasties Shang ch'ing Taoism. The most important development concerning worship of the Queen Mother of the West during the Six Dynasties period was her incorporation into the religious system of Shang ch'ing Taoism. The school takes its name from the highest of three heavens where its gods dwell: the Realm of Supreme Clarity. This new lineage absorbed many archaic goddesses worshiped in earlier eras, such as local deities of the rivers and lakes. Alone among them the Queen Mother remained powerful and active rather than subservient. But her nature altered to suit new needs. Shang ch'ing Taoism originated with revelations from the highest
Humans also have her. She resides in the center of a person's right eye, where her surname is Grand Yin, her name Mysterious Radiance, and her cognomen Supine Jade. A person must obtain the King Father [described in the previous entry as the primal pneuma of blue yang, the precedent one of the myriad divinities, who resides at the magic island of P'eng-lai in the Eastern Sea] and the Queen Mother and guard them in his two eyes. Only then will he be able to practice pacing the void, observing and looking up, and with acute hearing and eyesight distinguish and recognize good and evil. Then he can cause to flow down the various deities, just as a mother thinks of her child, and as a child also thinks of its mother. The germinal essence and pneuma will obtain each other, and for a myriad generations he will prolong his stay.

More Sugar Cookie Shuffle AU
SCS is a epithet erased/anime campaign swap AU that we came up with, here's the previous post detailing most of the swaps
We recently did more stuff on this on a whim so hey more of this now.
btw whenever i say "we" i mean me and @sirfolomew who has a tumblr now and didnt have one before
@hugthegoatchild made a lot of good points and we're convinced, i guess we'll just incorporate that into our worldview
anyway on to the new stuff
elaborating on the Feenie Trixie swap. as said before, the roughhouses are now a dynasty of villains and evil sorcerers, and the fleecities are still rich but no longer magical girls. Now, in the original, the Roughhouses had criminal notoriety and the Fleecities were a magical force of good. If the Roughhouses are a magical force of evil and the Fleecities are non-magical but rich. If that is the case and they gain criminal notoriety, they become a rich non-magical force of good with criminial notoriety. What im saying is: The Fleecities are Batman. Phoenica Fleecity is Robin.
New Swap: Banzai Blasters and the evil forces of the Songstress. The Banzai Blasters are now the Songbird Sorcerers, basically the Blasters but now purple and magic and music themed. This is what Rick belongs to, he has the rank of Wizard. the equivalent ranks are as follows Baron Songstress Senpai Apprentice Valedictorian Senpai Associate Justice Court Composer Vice Principle Maestro Captain Wizard Blaster Sorcerer
more elaboration on Martin and Calliope swap Calliope and Martin Blyndeff are two horrible parents that somehow cancel out to make a functional unit. and then one of them dies. Calliope Blyndeff is, as opposed to Martin's all play and no work bumbling idiot, is an all work and no play always correct ruthless pragmatist joyless busybody manager.
more elaboration on Lorelai and Molly swap. Lorelai and Molly have their ages swapped btw. As Martin, the former toymaker has died, the role of toymaker goes to Lorelai Blyndeff, who cannot keep up with the demands set by her mother. As opposed to Lorelai's unhealthy coping mechanism of escapism through fantasy, Molly's unhealthy coping mechanism is a rotating combination of constantly distracting herself from the trauma with productivity, leading to becoming an academic overachiever, and self-numbing sensory deprivatory sleep, where she uses her epithet to go basically completely comatose and can only be woken by lorelai doing her dream bubble thing or whatever to go on a journey to the center of the mind to pull her out. Molly is basically either running at full steam overworking herself or shes completely powered off. Either way, she mostly spends her time alone in silence either studying or sleeping. Molly believes she doesnt have time for friends, and thus ends up a friendless loner. Man how is she worse off compared to ee molly. i feel bad for her. Hey remember how Lorelai's epithet caused Calliope's death in base ee? tack on self hatred issues onto the list of things wrong with scs molly blyndeff because she 100% believes she killed martin. girl is NOT having a good time. She's emotionanally detached from the rest of the family but still depends on them, pretty much the same as base ee Lorelai.
link to spoiler add on
#epithet erased#anime campaign#sugar cookie shuffle#calliope is heavily inspired by mama shirogane from kaguya sama love is war btw#you should read kaguya

Also periodic refresher on commonly confused SC political terms, not because it actually matters at all but because I know we're all nerds here and why not split hairs:
Astraea is an umbrella term for all the sapient, humanoid (although they obviously don't think of themselves that way), astrobiological subspecies who evolved in the vacuum of space within the Andromeda galaxy. I translate all collective adjectives for them as "Andromedan," since that's what an earthling would call them. I know some of you guys use the term "astraean"/"astrean" when talking about my stuff and that is very cool and has my full support and approval, I just thought you'd want to know it isn't technically "canon compliant." But you don't have to stop lol
Altamaian is a group of ethnicities originating on Altamai who, because of historical land tenure, have a lot of social and political privilege in Basilean society. It's also the name of the official language of Basilea.
Basilean is a nationality thought of by the Hyperian dynasty and their supporters as encompassing the Seven Suns systems and the Rings, although some colonized peoples within the Seven Suns systems do not identify that way. It is heavily associated historically with the Basillan species identity, but not all Basillans are Basilean and not all Basileans are Basillan.
Basillan is the astraea subspecies, originating in the Atya system and historically associated with the planets Tarega, Altamai and Glasmiri, that the Hyperian Empresses belong to. Their nobility--the descendants of the Taregan Captain-Queens and Altamaian Avesian Maximatas--have colonized a significant portion of the galaxy in the period between the Flight era and the Hyperian era.
#sweet chariot#conlangs#worldbuilding#the thing about having a realistically complex history and political landscape in your made up world#is that you have a realistically complex history and political landscape lmao

7th Annual Tennessee Titans 2024 Off-Season Game Plan
Charles Barnes
Barnes University
Consultation

"Where Excellence Is Expected."
"Provide Difference."
Proverbs 3 Verse 6
3.18.24
Roster Engineering MBA
The goal of this off-season should be to assess the market at positions of need then practically find players that fit your culture. Last year the question was should the Titans be trying to retool or rebuild? I said they should re-establish, meaning identify, what it means to be a Titan. This year is about rebooting. Every position, every limiting belief, every inefficient way of execution.
View the 2024 free agency cycle as the draft before the draft. Truly get guys that you want to grow with. After my studies some positions will be barren for a couple of years at the very least, so with money to spend, getting your type of guys to invest in long-term would be ideal. Planning and strategy is my strength. It's not perfect but it's valuable and functional.
You had better get YOUR guy(s) at these positions this off-season. QB, TE, C, DT, Safety, K, P. Also save your money and don't sign large WR contracts because there's depth in the draft and volume in the years to come. If you must pay up, get yourself a few good veteran corners. These are working off of predominantly Titans centric evaluations of course. So If you have enough draft capital, getting a rookie corner or two is fine.
For this year in free agency you shouldn't overcommit to replacement level talent during the 1st or 2nd wave. Roster cuts during training camp and in season acquisitions can supplement that. I'll be very big on 3rd and 4th wave pickups to fill out the roster.
My Positional Potency™️ grades will be introduced this Off-Season Gameplan (OGP) as well and you'll see forecasting at it's finest per usual. Be aggressive with player archetypes that won't be available later. Titans should come with open wallets but be good stewards of their newfound cap space.
Here's a friendly and annual reminder that free agency comes BEFORE the draft.
Remember, Free Agency is a two way street. Interest meets Finances. This model shows how to MAXIMIZE this season's pool of talent for the year ahead. Being present in the moment and only squinting at the future. No, you don't mortgage your future in one season but you do try to form the best roster possible, all while keeping in mind the schedule and possible pitfalls. Drafting however, is the purest form of talent acquisition. Therefore it is the foundation in which dynasties are made.
Regardless of what they do, this is what I do.
That of course, is forming a Super Bowl roster that's as infallible as possible through the roster engineering practices I've learned throughout two decades of coaching and study.
Positional Potency™️ - FA/Draft Combined Letter Grade based on talent. (These are early projections things can change.)

(PFF analytics and grades were used in this project to further describe a player's impact and execution. It's important to reiterate that analytics broadly tell the story but momentum, pace, and emotion are the driving force. The important part of roster engineering is finding players who assist in administering those ebbs and flows. Emotional I.Q. and human nature still play a substantial role in my evaluations.)

Free Agent Synopsis/PFF Grade
1st Wave - Premium and/or priority signings within the first week of free agency. Competitive Offers and time sensitivity are a factor.
2nd Wave - A week or two after the first week of signings. Serviceable Depth - Can make the roster and could be starters.
3rd Wave - Depth/Glue Guys. Bargain Backups that are ready for training camp.
4th Wave - Veterans waiting on an opportunity. Usually after significant release timeframes. Think post training camp.
QB Mason Rudolph
"1st Wave: I was high on Mason Rudolph coming out of the draft in 2018 and have been an advocate for getting him on the Titans for awhile. It's good to see that come into fruition. Mason is one of the best deep ball throwers in the game. His rainbow shots are a thing of beauty and he possesses the ability to stand in the pocket and deliver strikes while taking hits. This isn't necessarily a world beater signing but I like it. Tennessee got themselves a competent backup with the ability to win games in a pinch. In a year I dubbed as the Year of the Quarterback you're going to want to attain and develop guys that are fits as well get security at the position." ($1.5M gtd at signing, $1.5M Base for 2023, $1M in incentives, 1 yr. $3M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 65.5 Ranked 30th out of 40 graded QBs. 65.8 Pass Grade, 28th best in the league. 58.6 Run Grade.
Other Options: #1 option Jacoby Brissett (Patriots were favorites) via trade - Justin Fields, Zach Wilson, Sam Howell, Carson Wentz, Gardner Minshew II, Jamies Winston, Joe Flacco, Sam Darnold
RB Gus Edwards
"1st Wave: With Derrick Henry's imminent departure it makes sense that you would want to keep what was successful in Tennessee going. Having the element of a physical run game is vital to having a well-rounded offensive attack. Edwards will provide that short yardage domination needed to keep the chains moving and to score touchdowns in the redzone. But he's not just a 3 yards and a cloud of dust type of runner he can also give you some explosive plays in the run and pass game. This low end investment also allows you to be flexible if post June 1st cuts happen at the position." ($2.5M at signing, $1M base for 2024, $500K in incentives, 1yr. $3.5M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 73.7, 28th out of 59 graded RBs, 75.4 Rushing Grade is 29th out of 59 RBs.
Other Options: Derrick Henry, Tony Pollard, James Conner (if released), Alvin Kamara, (if released), Zack Moss, Antonio Gibson, Samaje Perine (if released), Alexander Mattison
TE Noah Fant
"1st Wave: Unless you have the draft capital you had better get you a starting caliber dual threat TE in this free agency cycle. The 2024 draft has some guys but it may be difficult to get YOUR guy if you don't have the draft capital. So I went with Noah Fant. Fant has one of the better top end speeds at the position in the league and when you pair that with his size and catch radius you have a more than sufficient chess piece to your offense. He's not a road grader in the run game just yet but has improved every year he's been in the league. A fresh start would do him well in a more diverse passing attack." ($9.25M GTD at signing, $1.75M Base for 2024, 2 yr. $22M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 62.9, Ranked 30th out of 72 graded TE's. 59.6 Block Grade is 19th best in the NFL.
Other Options: Dalton Schultz, Gerald Everett, Hunter Henry, Will Dissly, Drew Sample, Charlie Woerner, Tanner Hudson
WR Noah Brown
"1st Wave: Noah Brown is a big bodied chain mover. He's a WR3 or WR4 who has played better than guys that will get double his salary for 2024. Tough and physical route runner that adds effective run after catch ability. Here's some data from @Pro__Ant on X that highlights how effective Brown has been. 6th in yards per target, 4th in yards per catch, 12th in first down %, 17th in QB rating when targeted, 19th in avg depth of catch, 20th in EPA per target, 31st in yards per route run. *Amongst 80 WRs w/at least 50 TGTs. This low end investment allows more flexibility for June 1st cuts at the position." ($1.5M at signing, $2M base for 2024, $1M in incentives, 1 yr. $3.5M Practical)
■PFF Grade: 73.0, 42nd out of 128 WRs.
Other Options: Michael Pittman Jr. (Trade), Brandin Cooks (if released), Christian Kirk (if released), Tyler Boyd, K.J. Osborn, Cedrick Wilson Jr., Darius Slayton (if released), Mack Hollins, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Trent Sherfield
WR Deonte Harty
"2nd-3rd Wave: Deonte Harty formerly known as Deonte Harris is one of my late round gems from the 2019 draft class out of Assumption University. He's a dynamic returner and is working hard to become a legitimate option in the receiving game. Offensively he provides gadget play and homerun capabilities." ($1M to sign, $1M base for 2024, $500K in incentives, 1 yr. $2M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 66.9, 68th out of 129 graded WRs.
Other Options: Mecole Hardman, Brandon Powell, Byron Pringle, Trenton Irwin, Ihmir Smith-Marsette
LT Cornelius Lucas
"2nd Wave: Titans could double dip here in the veteran OT market with Lucas and Cam Fleming. It is very well documented that they are two players that I think are underrated and provide high end pass blocking and when reps are there, run blocking as well." ($1M at signing, $1M Base for 2024, $500K in incentives, 1yr. $2.5M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 62.8, 50th out of 82 OTs.
Other Options: Michael Onwenu (at Guard), Jermaine Eluemunor, Cameron Fleming, Tyron Smith, Trent Brown, David Quessenberry, Kendall Lamm, David Sharpe
Center Lloyd Cushenberry III
"1st Wave: This would be a Kevin Mawae and Ben Jones type of signing here for the Titans. Cushenberry III is an impenetrable force as a pass blocker and a bully in the run game." ($25M at signing, $2M Base for 2024, 2 yr. $32M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 73.2, 10th out of 36 graded Centers. 72.4 Run Block Grade, 14th best in the league, 76.4 Pass Block Grade, 3rd best in the league.
Other Options: Andre James, Connor Williams, Tyler Biadasz, Mitch Morse, Evan Brown, Nick Gates, Michelle Deiter, Nick Harris
DL Arik Armstead
"1st Wave: Armstead has interior pass rush prowess. A legitimate pass rush specialist. His length will disrupt pockets and throwing lanes." ($16M at signing, $8M base for 2024, $2M worth each season in incentives, 2 yr. $32M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 78.4, 87.1 Pass Rush Grade, 5th out of 130 Graded DL.
Other Options: Denico Autry, Calais Campbell, Mario Edwards Jr., Shelby Harris
ILB Frankie Luvu
"1st Wave: Frankie Luvu has earned the opportunity to be in free agency and has earned a big pay day. From being undrafted to one of the best in the league. He provides physicality and football speed. He can cover short area man or zone and blitz with the best of them." ($16M at signing, $2M base for 2024, 5M base in 2025, 2 yr. $23M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 80, 10th out of 82 LBs. 74 Run Defense Grade, 24th best, 67.7 Coverage Grade, 30th best, 90.1 Pass Rush Grade is 1st in the league on the 10th most attempts.
Other Options: Josey Jewell, Tyrel Dodson, Blake Cashman
ILB Willie Gay Jr.
"1st Wave: Willie Gay Jr. is a well built tank with untapped ability. He's young and would be a shrewd investment because of how much growth his game can have. At his best he's running and hitting." ($2M at signing, $2M Base for 2024, $2M in incentives, 1 yr. $4M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 55.9, 72nd out of 82 LBs. 72.7 Run Defense Grade, 29th best in the league.
Other Options: Nicholas Morrow, Azeez Al-Shaair, Denzel Perryman, Jamal Adams, Dylan Cole
DT D.J. Reader
"1st Wave: Reader is big time addition and one hell of a pairing with Jeffery Simmons. He is still able to garner double teams and push the pocket. His presence alone allows so many more players to work off of him and truly shine within their strengths. He's coming off of injury but has returned as good or better when it occurred earlier in his career." ($8M at signing, $1M Base in 2024, $2M in incentives. 1 yr. $11M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 82.2,, 11th out of 130 iDL, 75.3 Run Defense Grade, 9th out of 130 iDL, 79.1 Pass Rush Grade, 13th out of 130 iDL.
Other Options: Grover Stewart, Sheldon Rankins, Justin Jones, Tim Settle, Armon Watts, Kevin Givens, Adam Butler, Greg Gaines
DE Derek Barnett
"2nd-3rd Wave: Barnett was a solid contributor last season. He wins with high effort and strength. He's plays with discipline and is assignment sound. Chase Young was strongly considered here as well. But I think there will be training camp and in season movement to improve the edge position. After investing elsewhere I pivoted but Young would be an intriguing one year rental." ($1.5M at signing. $2M Base for 2024, $1M in incentives, 1yr. 3.5M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 82.4, 19th out of 112 Edge Defenders, 74.3 Run Defense Grade, 20th of 112 Edge Defenders, 73.9 Pass Rush Grade, 34th out of 112 Edge Defenders.
Other Options: Chase Young, Shaquil Barrett, Andrew Van Ginkel, Dorance Armstrong, Jadeveon Clowney, A.J. Epenesa
Cornerback Kendall Fuller
"1st Wave: The incredibly well-rounded corner Kendall Fuller. Plays exceptional in all facets of the game. If anything speed has reduced but he makes up for any deficiencies with savy body positioning and leverage." ($7M at signing, $2M Base for 2024. 1 year $9M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 83.1, 7th out of 127 Cornerbacks. 78.1 Run Defense Grade, 18th best in the league, 82.8 Coverage Grade, 9th best in the league.
Other Options: L’Jarius Sneed (Trade), Kenny Moore II, Jeff Okudah, Chidobe Owuzie, Stephon Gilmore
Cornerback Ronald Darby
"1st Wave: Ronald Darby played well under current defensive coordinator in Tennessee and would make sense to reconnect. He can run with the best of them.” ($3M at signing, $2M Base, $3.5M Base in 2025, $1.5M in incentives.)
■PFF Grade: 70.8, 36th out of 127 Cornerbacks, 72.9 Coverage Grade, 32nd best in the league.
Other Options: Sean Murphy-Bunting, Darious Williams, Michael Jackson (RFA), Dane Jackson, Tre’Davious White, Tavierre Thomas, Nick McCloud (RFA)
Safety Justin Simmons
"1st Wave: Simmons brings a wealth of football knowledge to the secondary and can still make plays. He's incredibly instinctive and rangy. He'll fill alleys in the run game too. This would be an investment to push forward culture. Titans need veteran leadership and direction not just a group of young and paid guys. DeShon Elliott was strongly considered here as well.” ($5M at signing, $3M base, $1 yr. 8M Practical.)
■PFF Grade: 67.9, 42nd out of 95 Safeties, 77.6 Run Defense Grade, 16th out of 95 Safeties.
Other Options: DeShon Elliott, Julian Blackmon, Xavier McKinney, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Geno Stone, Kamren Curl, Kevin Byard, Jordan Whitehead, Jordan Fuller, Isaiah Simmons, John Johnson III, Mike Edwards, Brandon Jones
Trade Synopsis
QB Malik Willis to the Baltimore Ravens for a 7th RD pick 228 Overall
The Chargers are also an option here. The Titans took Malik Willis with the 86th pick of the 2022 draft when he was talked up to be a Top 20 selection. He was thought to be a project then and still is in some ways. After a failure from the coaching staff to adapt to his skillset or even come up with a competent package, Willis is left underdeveloped. Not much effort was put forth to use a unique skillset in order to ignite an otherwise stale offense. He clearly struggled in the traditional scheme that the Titans ran. The 2023 preseason was a breakthrough but didn't have enough reps as the QB2 for the rest of the season even after QB1 Ryan Tannehill got injured.
A fresh start in a scheme that highlights his strengths would be ideal. He needs to be able to put his athleticism on display and have an organization that buys into his development. The Titans were in a tough spot. The previous coaching regime was in win now mode, when as an organization they needed to review where they truly wanted to go. A lot of solid young players were caught in that mess.
The fit in Los Angeles is good, now that Greg Roman is there but the Ravens have no backup that took significant NFL snaps last season. Josh Johnson is close to retiring and Malik Cunningham will be in Year 2 and spent time as a part-time WR in New England.
Acquiring a late round pick allows the Titans to select coveted players that may have been college free agents otherwise.
■ PFF Grade: 45.9, 4 of 5, 74 yards
WR Treylon Burks to the Dallas Cowboys for a 7th RD pick 244 Overall
The Jets are also an option here. Treylon Burks feels like a forced draft pick that was made because the previous front office didn't want to pay a Top 5 WR in the league. Tennessee needed to replace that skillset with someone they thought was similar. When in reality he was a big slot/gadget WR.
The Jets make sense because they need a bigger WR to add to their corps. The Cowboys make sense for similar reasons. They're cap strapped with needs at RB, OL, DB and need talent at WR especially after Michael Gallup was released. Trading Burks would be something ideal for both parties.
Acquiring a late round pick allows the Titans to select coveted players that may have been college free agents otherwise.
■ PFF Grade: 52.4, 16 catches, 221 yards.
Roster Dissertation and Overview
2023 Season: Record 6-11
Final 2023 Strength of Schedule: 15th Most Difficult.
Longest Win Streak: 1
Longest Losing Streak: 3
Most Impressive Win: 28-27, WK14 @ Miami
Most Disappointing Loss: 31-28, WK13 vs. Colts
2023 Strengths: Some young guys stepped up and played well. Long-time Titans vets had their farewell. They may have found THEIR QB.
2023 Weaknesses: This team chose to run it back when they should've been in sell mode. It was a culmination of poor roster engineering, and sheer lack of ingenuity.
☆
My Quality Control/Special Projects. Over The Years
2008 - Chris Johnson, Jason Jones
2009 - Michael Johnson, Mike Wallace, Ramon Foster
2010 - Dez Bryant, Everson Griffen
2011 - Chris Harris Jr., Tyrod Taylor, Malcolm Smith
2012 - Russell Wilson, Mohamed Sanu
2013 - Le'Veon Bell, Brandon Williams, William Gholston, Vince Williams
2014 - HOF Aaron Donald. Jimmy Garoppolo in the 2nd round.
The Royal Flush: 2015 Draft included - Leonard Williams, Rob Havenstein, Stefon Diggs, Trey Flowers, Kwon Alexander, Adrian Amos, Darren Waller, Josh Robinson, Kurtis Drummond
2016 - Jack Conklin, Myles Jack, Tyler Boyd, Yannick Ngakoue, Clayton Fejedelem
2017 - Christian McCaffrey and Tre’Davious White in the first round. Enough said.
Moneyball Plays: 2018 - Targeting Demario Davis in free agency (still a Top 5 LB in the NFL currently) to have the flexibility to Draft WR D.J. Moore.
2019 - Random Experimental draft for me but Titans in real time did extremely well. I concurred with every pick.
Predicted/Lent Out Historical Titans Playoff TDs - "The Tebow" Derrick Henry TD pass to Corey Davis and the OL TD Pass to Dennis Kelly in the 2020 Playoffs. Tagged position coaches to my videos suggesting this, they saw them, then the Titans proceeded to do it. Coincidence or borrowing?
2021 - WR Elijah Moore in the First Round. Titans spent a combined $55M on Vic Beasley, Jadeveon Clowney, and Bud Dupree and got SEVEN sacks in return.
Meanwhile Guys I Wanted to Sign:
Robert Quinn: 21.5 Sacks, Markus Golden: 13.5 sacks, Al-Quadin Muhammad: 1 sack. For under $40M.
That's THIRTY-SIX sacks in the same timespan.
2022 - To be continued. But it was a haul with WR Treylon Burks, QB Malik Willis, DT Travis Jones, S Nick Cross, OT Kellen Diesch, WR Jalen Nailor, CB Montaric Brown, WR Dareke Young, RB Zonovan Knight
2023 - WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR Jonathan Mingo, RB Devon Achane, OL Jordan McFadden, iOL Luke Wypler, S Trey Dean III
Practice Squad Signings:
QB Will Grier - I wasn't as high on Grier when he came out of West Virginia in 2019 but he's developed into a solid backup. Grier has the mobility and arm ability to move the ball down the field. He should push somebody's QB room this season for a QB3 role. I also like Tanner Mordecai here.
RB Patrick Taylor - Taylor is a big physical RB with finishing ability. I also like Montrell Johnson Jr. here.
RB Boston Scott - Scott is a multi-dimensional scatback with the ability to create explosive plays as a runner or pass catcher.
WR David Moore - Moore was in my 2021 OGP before and was a pleasant surprise to most when they saw him making plays in Tampa Bay last year. I expect him to go unnoticed again and be an ideal stash on the practice squad. Physical for his size and a downfield playmaker.
WR Chase Claypool - You will definitely have to vet this player's commitment to football but after that process, you'll have a big-time reclamation project on your hands. If he can find a role as a big bodied, combact catcher that gets after it as a run blocker he could be a story to watch next season. I also like Jesse Matthews here.
WR Steven Sims Jr. - Sims Jr. is someone I observed that had a knack for returns. When the Titans were searching for a returner he was on my radar. Turns out he stuck with Houston and had a punt return for a touchdown in their playoff game vs. Baltimore. Sims Jr. is an instinctive runner after the catch and a versatile pickup for any practice squad. I also like Isaiah Wooden here.
TE Brycen Hopkins - Hopkins quietly put together a solid Year 4 campaign with the Rams. He'd be an excellent pickup to try and develop even more. I also like Maleak Bryant here.
OT Justin Skule - Skule has starter experience but has been dinged up. He has the size and skillset to continue to push the low depth chart and compete.
OT Theo Benedet - Workable traits and frame. Benedet needs to add weight however and get stronger. I like the upside of a signing like this.
OG Calvin Throckmorton - Throckmorton was a late season add in 2023 and it would be smart to bring him back on the practice squad to continue to develop but this time with new coaches.
OG Phil Haynes - Big, physical guard that needs to stay healthy and take coaching to take his game to the next level.
DE Rasheem Green - Green could be a situational pass rusher on a team today. But I think he'll be one of those guys that will be ignored until the 3rd or 4th wave of free agency then be undervalued. He's a steal to have because he can effect a game when he's used the right way.
LB Mykal Walker - Most draftniks’ favorite ‘sleeper LB’ a couple of seasons ago, Walker has been somewhat of a journeyman here recently. He'd be a good get to be able to coach him to better use his athleticism and physicality at the point of attack.
CB James Pierre - Pierre needs to regain his confidence and develop some consistency in his game. He has good size and traits.
K Cole Murphy - Titans need a young K to develop behind Nick Folk. There's a handful of guys out there. Murphy has upside. I like Taylor Vizcaino here as well.
P Pressley Harvin III - Harvin III has been inconsistent recently as a player but stashing his skillset as a contingency plan while Ryan Stonehouse gets back to optimum health would be smart. PHIII has the ability to be a starter. Tyler Zentner is in play here as well.
Original Draft Selections/Acquired After Trade: *updates to prospect options, round projections and udfa lists will happen until the draft*
Trade down from #7: Legit Options I'd consider. TE Brock Bowers, EDGE Laiatu Latu, Dallas Turner or Taliese Fuaga.
Trade down from #38: Pick OT Joe Alt at 7, WR Roman Wilson, Ricky Pearsall in the 2nd.
Round 1, Pick 7 - WR Malik Nabers LSU
"Malik Nabers was the best WR tape I've watched since DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Lockett. The possibilities are endless when it comes to what he can do in this league. His run after catch ability is electric. His ability to track the ball and show late hands is superb. He got open in the SEC without having to show elite route running but will need to take coaching and improve that area of his game."
OT Joe Alt, WR Rome Odunze, OT Olu Fashanu
TE Brock Bowers, Taliese Fuaga, Laiatu Latu, Dallas Turner
Round 2, Pick 38 - OT Javon Foster Missouri
"It was a toss up between Foster and Paul. I chose to go with the SEC pedigree and better all-around game. Foster has dominated the most competitive conference in college football for years. Long arms and people moving ability he has room to improve with his technique but is extremely coachable and should adapt to the next level."
OT Patrick Paul, RB Trey Benson, WR Troy Franklin, Mason McCormick
SAF Tyler Nubin, LB Edgerrin Cooper, LB Payton Wilson
NT T'Vondre Sweat, Ruke Orhorhoro
Round 4, Pick 106 - RB Ray Davis Kentucky
"I couldn't pass on taking one of my favorite runners in the draft. He's one of the best dual threat RBs in the draft."
RB Kimani Vidal, RB Tyrone Tracy Jr.
TE Jared Wiley, SAF Beau Brade, DT Tyler Davis
Round 5, Pick 146 - WR Tahj Washington USC
"I've said this before. Don't be surprised if Tahj Washington ends up being the best pure slot WR from this draft class if he's drafted to a team that's in 11 personnel a lot. A bit undersized by metrics standards but he could be Jordan Addison-lite at the next level."
CB Dwight McGlothern, CB M.J. Devonshire, CB Marcellas Dial, LB Trevin Wallace, SAF Trey Taylor, EDGE Marshawn Kneeland, EDGE Mohamed Kamara, EDGE Javon Solomon
iOL Matthew Jones, WR Jalen McMillan, WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
Round 6, Pick 182 - OL Delmar Glaze
"The oh so versatile Delmar Glaze, at least that's what will be expected of him at the next level. Long arms and brute strength. Has swing OL potential but should be able to play guard and center."
RB Kiyan Williams, RB Kendall Milton, RB Deshaun Fenwick, SAF Kenny Logan Jr. LB Nathaniel Watson
G Brandon Coleman, TE Tanner McLachlan, TE Erick All
Round 7, Pick 221 - WR Ryan Flournoy Southeast Missouri State
"Ryan Flournoy is a player that's been connected to the Titans throughout the whole process. I don't if it's because he's from a smaller school or what but Flournoy is legit. At 4.4 speed and willingness to work and improve, he should be able to find a role in this league."
WR Lideatrick Griffin, WR Xavier Weaver, WR Lincoln Victor
SAF Jason Maitre, DL Keith Randolph Jr., LB Tatum Bethune
Round 7, Pick 227 - DB Tarheeb Still Maryland
"Tarheeb is a multi-talented late round grab. Cornerback, but I think he can play safety too. Covers well and will help in run support. He provides sufficient return ability on special teams.”
DB Malik Dunlap, DB Quan'tez Stiggers
LB Aaron Casey, K Joshua Karty
Round 7, Pick 228 - (from Ravens) OLB Khalid Duke Kansas State
“Duke is developmental edge prospect. His first step is impressive but he's raw as a technician. Will need to get stronger and develop a pass rush plan. Until then he will compete for reps on special teams.”
QB Tanner Mordecai, QB Emory Jones, QB/ATH John Rhys Plumlee, QB Jack Plummer
P Ryan Rehkow, DT Myles Murphy
Round 7, Pick 242 - QB/ATH Jason Bean Kansas
“I couldn't pass on the unique talent that is Jason Bean. He's unlike any athlete in the draft from the standpoint that he plays QB but can score from anywhere on the field. Not via pass but by running. If he can learn an NFL scheme and put on 20 lbs. that would be wonderful. Could also see him as a returner or WR convert.”
iOL Charles Turner III, DT Jowon Briggs
WR Jalon Calhoun, QB Jeremy Moussa
Round 7, Pick 244 - (from Cowboys) DT Popo Aumavae Oregon
“You put on the tape you're going to see Aumavae long arming and moving people out of the way. He has an impressive pass rush arsenal that has shades of a young Jurrell Casey.”
LB Eugene Asante, LB Maema Njongmeta
iOL Josiah Ezirim, WR Hayden Hatten

2024 Forecast and Summary
The Titans play the AFC East and NFC North this year and play the fourth place teams from 2023 in other divisions. Those teams are the Washington Commanders, Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers.
The AFC South has been upgraded this past season. Houston looks to be a powerhouse. Nick Caserio is dealing. Jacksonville and Indianapolis are on the ropes but still a competent out on any given Sunday. There is a need to establish dominance.
This season should be approached with a frugal approach to positional spending and paying up for high-end impact players. The trenches will need to be filled with strong and athletic players.
Culture will be vital. With a new coaching staff it will be imperative that there is buy in at some point. Veteran players can assist with that. Changing personality types and expectations can be a process but most importantly you have to be aware of who you bring in to help administer the New Way.
From a culture perspective there could be mixed results based on M.O. and from a play style perspective, leaning too much on data or pass happy tendencies could cause problems. But overall this is a much needed growth process for all parties that will lead to the inevitable. Adaptation or extinction.
I've made this team as competitive as I could while building a foundation that aligns philosophically with what I believe wins in this league. And that's with play style variance™️ on offense and disciplined chaos™️ on defense.

The Triple Crown Winners
As UCA, the final competition of Triple Crown wrapped up, we have 11 division winning teams who have earned the Triple Crown Title.
UCA is another national competition which is held in the ESPN Sport Complex in Florida, and is one of the last bigger competitions hosted before worlds.
Worlds training is intense for all star cheerleaders, with countless hours going over the same section over and over, incorporating skill upgrades and then training the execution of them to be as close to perfect as possible. Teams are practicing on average 3 times a week sometimes more with about a 3 hour practice each of those days. UCA is the last season competition for a lot of larger, well known teams, who get another chance in front of judges for some last minute critiques and modifications to upgrade their routines
Again, 11 teams came out as Triple Crown Champions, 5 of which come from different locations within the Cheer Extreme program.
Below are the listed Triple Crown Winners, champions of Cheersport, NCA, and UCA, and more information about them can be found through that link.

the situation here is even more dire than how i initially presented it. here are some additions:
The Manipur Police has invoked strong penal sections that criminalise free speech, political dissent, and assembly, against Annie Raja, CPI leader and general secretary of the National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW); Nisha Siddhu, national secretary of NFIW; and Deeksha Dwivedi, an independent Delhi-based lawyer. More than a hundred people have been killed and property worth crores of rupees has been destroyed in clashes between the Kuki and the Meitei communities. Internet and travel restrictions are in place in the State, which remains cut off from the rest of the country.
Some of the Meitei communities (Meitei is not a homogeneous group) are already included in the SC and OBC lists. However, they are demanding that the entire Meitei community should be designated as STs. This demand – and the vociferous opposition to it by groups that are already designated as STs – has much to do with the hills-valley divide in Manipur. Manipur has three major ethnic groups – Meitei, Naga, and Kuki. Meiteis are primarily located in the valley, while the Naga and Kuki tribes occupy the hills surrounding the valley. Even though the valley has only about 10% geographic area, majority of the state population lives there. The Manipur kingdom, which was ruled by the Ningthouja dynasty (who were Meiteis) for centuries, had direct influence over the valley. Due to its historical and geographical advantages, the valley has relatively been more prosperous than the hills. Since the valley is mostly inhabited by the Meiteis, the advantages of the valley have accrued to the Meiteis as well. Groups such as the All Tribal Students’ Union of Manipur, which took out the rally in opposition to the high court order on Wednesday, 3 May, point to this reality while arguing that the Meiteis shouldn't be given the ST status. They also point out that Manipuri, the mother tongue of the Meiteis, is the official language as well as the lingua franca of Manipur. It is also one of the 22 scheduled languages of India. The Meiteis also dominate the state legislature. In the 60-member Assembly, 40 MLAs are sent from the valley while 20 are elected from the hills. The current chief minister is a Meitei. While speaking to The Quint, Kham Khan Suan Hausing, who is the head of the Political Science department at the University of Hyderabad, also noted the socially privileged background of the Meiteis. A long-standing civilised community, he elaborated, Meiteis didn't meet the criteria for the ST status when the ST list was drawn up by the Government of India in the 1950s.
others have also noted in the notes that the women who were paraded naked were gang raped and although only 2 women show in the video, three kuki women were victimised.
Do you know what's been going on in Manipur all this time?

Which would people prefer? (sci-fi question) - I would rather we stop getting sc-fi stuff pushed into the game I got into called MAGIC the Gathering. I'm not on board with the literal sci-fi technology in Kamigawa Neo nor the idea of having to deal with players putting Warhammer 40K cards in commander decks. Magic has plenty of fantasy options that are viable, diluting the lore just to eke out a little more profit is disenfranchising some of the more invested players.
Why is everything have to be framed as some money-grubbing scheme? Perhaps we’re doing it because we honestly believe there’s an audience, many also enfranchised players, who enjoy it and like it being part of the game. The very positive reaction to Neon Dynasty points towards this latter explanation. Also, the science fiction elements *are* magic-entwined. Magic and science fiction are not inherently opposites.
