I am also thinking so much about the strange dynamic that Oscar and Cosmo have: Oscar churlish, pessimistic, hating himself, and Cosmo who remembers, even as old as he is, who probably remembers everything that Oscar's forgotten.
And Oscar's repeated statement of, "It should be the other way around. I should be the one taking care of you." It sounds at first, before you know, like frustration of a young man who feels like too much of a fuck up to take care of his elderly relative, even though Cosmo clearly has plenty of help. But once you flip it, it feels almost more incongruous—Oscar feeling like he's failed as a father, perhaps because he hasn't been able to act as an example for Cosmo, perhaps because of the amnesia, perhaps because Cosmo has seemingly dedicated his entire life to helping Oscar, even to his advanced age. But it doesn't seem like Cosmo is concerned about that.
As old as Cosmo is, as determined as it sounds like he is to fix Oscar's plight, it almost feels like he's lived this long out of spite and force of will. This is his purpose and his life's work, and it's not finished yet.
But if they succeed at ending this ritual or curse, what becomes of either of them? Cosmo, certainly, can rest then, and Oscar can in theory live out the rest of his life in peace, but at that point he's no longer forgetting anymore. He'll live out whatever remains with the belief that Cosmo's life was dedicated solely to this, and unlike Oscar, he won't even have the chance to have a life beyond it. I wonder if Oscar, knowing this, is so pessimistic by this point because no matter the outcome, he's already failed Cosmo on a fundamental, irretrievable level.
There's very little chance, even if Oscar doesn't live for long after this ends, that Oscar won't be the one burying Cosmo, rather than the other way around. A father isn't meant to outlive his children.

Rewatching the episode I get the feeling that Candela knows about Oscar, and is ready to take him out if he slips.
AABRIA: "Okay. As do the others." At this, they lean in a little more not because there's a need to whisper, but the way you have spoken about your family, the way you refer to them, the gravity of it implies a need for secrecy. "He'll be a part of it. Of course, you've been doing a great job of keeping an eye out for him, but I don't need to tell you that they are watching." LIAM: Oh, yes. I cannot say I haven't had my suspicions. AABRIA: "Yeah. I believe with all of my being that the work we do is good and just and necessary, but our methods are not always kind."
And Oscar doesn't care anymore.

In chapter one, Robbie Daymond had me quietly freaking out in select moments.
In chapter two, Brennan Lee Mulligan had me so feral, I would need to grab my pillow so I could scream without disturbing my family.
And now, in chapter three, Noshir Dalal has me pausing and silently processing the smallest tiniest thing that he says that almost gets lost in the shuffle of the rest of the show but fucking hits me in the chest with how goddamn hot he is, I just can’t.

Ken: You’re friendship is the most precious thing in the world to me. I don’t know what I’d do if I ever lost it.
Barbie: Same. But what if it could be more.
Ken: It would be amazing.
Me watching this:

i feel like one aspect of Sly 2's climax that isn't considered enough is how Bison gets his hands on all the Clockwerk parts and sells them to Arpeggio. the gang goes through a lot during the Rajan and Contessa episodes so once we get to He Who Tames the Iron Horse and the operation is a big success without any traumatic events going down, it makes it seem like Bison isn't really a threat. sure he's a brute but he's stupid so whatever. i don't think anyone expected him to not only beat the Cooper gang but also acquire all the Clockwerk parts; not even his fellow team members. Arpeggio calls him a troglodyte, remember. and SP are kinda like masters of setting expectations and then breaking them because Bison's call to Arpeggio is cleverly placed at the beginning of the first Canada level which served to suggest like "hey, here's a tease of the Klaww Gang's final member who sounds like a complete brainiac mastermind, like how is the gang possibly going to face him in the final episode of the game?" setting Arpeggio up as the final villain and by default downplaying Bison so no need to worry about him, right? wrong bitch.

candela 3-1 / 3-2 spoilers!
the fact that rajan self-medicates and probably has been for a very long time (did elsie know? did they fight about it? or did he hide it as much as he hid everything else?) because he accepts his situation and just copes as best as he can. it is what it is. he doesn't want to be "fixed", this is who he is—this is his life and he'll do with it whatever he damn well pleases.
meanwhile elsie has at least as much reason to self-medicate as he does—and is in a much better position to safely and probably even legally do so—but seems so deathly afraid of giving up control, and too wracked with guilt to not believe deep down that she had it coming, and so she just...bears it.
at this point I'm hoping the beast somehow keeps it at bay because with everything we've heard about cullet I don't even want to imagine how much pain she must be in. the disease is literally named for how much it hurts. and she carries it with her so quietly.
it drives me insane to think about just how much she's holding in, literally all of the time. is there anyone she feels safe to be herself with, fucked-up parts and all?? (no, there isn't. of course there isn't.) she's bottling up so much it's unfathomable how she hasn't choked to death on it all.
all I want for the finale is for elsie to feel safe to let go, man. (and NO, aabria, bestie, that doesn't mean killing her, I swear to god don't do this to me—)

Mrs. Sawhney: Bill 18 seeks to mandate that provincial entities obtain prior approval from Alberta’s government before entering into, amending, extending, or renewing agreements with the federal government. This requirement is not born out of a desire for bureaucracy nor out of any intent to leave federal dollars on the table but, rather, out of a fundamental commitment to safeguarding Alberta’s interests and ensuring agreements between provincial entities and the federal government support our provincial priorities.
